ConfigData.xml (located in %appdata%\AwesomeMiner\ folder) is the only configuration file for Awesome Miner. You can copy this one between your computers, but please make sure that Awesome Miner isn't running (Menu -> Exit) before you replace the configuration on the target computer. Can you please check this one more time?

I tried again with the same result.  Here's AM running on the source computer:

Size of the ConfigData.xml file is ~1,100 KB.

Here's what AM looks like after copying that 1,100 KB file to the target computer and waiting a couple of minutes :

So only miners that are working are the external ones.  None of the managed miners show up (they are still running).

Also, after running for a few minutes the size of the ConfigData.xml file is reduced to ~800 KB.

All the profit profiles and hosts are missing from the target computer after starting up AM there.  (which explains why they don't show up as running)  So this is likely what accounts for the ~300 KK worth of metadata that gets deleted from the xml file upon startup.  It is also interesting to note that the miner "antminer 103 - S9" is showing up on the target computer even though that was deleted from the source computer about a week ago.
Thanks for the update.

The miner lists are not the same, so the configuration must have been either loaded or taken from a backup file. Do you use the same version of Awesome Miner? Recent versions actually store the data a bit more efficient so they have smaller file size compared to older versions.

If Awesome Miner is unable to load ConfigData.xml, for example because of version incompatibilities, it will go for any of the backup files instead. I would suggest to first exit Awesome Miner completely on the target computer, then remove all files in the folder %appdata%\AwesomeMiner\, and finally put the ConfigData.xml in there and start Awesome Miner again. Then there are only two possibilities:
1) Either Awesome Miner load the exact content of ConfigData.xml and what you see on the screen is what the file contains
2) Or you will see a completely empty Awesome Miner window with no miners because it failed to load the configuration file.

Something in between is not possible.

Please also note that you cannot have two Awesome Miner main applications running at the same time controlling the same Remote Agents - that will result in miners showing up as stopped. It's only ASIC miners (External Miners) that can be monitored from multiple instances of Awesome Miner as the same time.

Hi patrike,

I'm experiencing an issue mining with excavator through AM.

I'm using excavator 1.4.4a, with the "default_command_file.json" included it works well.
With AM it worked fine but not anymore, no regard how much GPU I select in benchmark or wich algorithm or wich pool I choose, I always got this

It looks like Awesome Miner think you are using Excavator 1.5, as it will try to connect to "nhmp.eu.nicehash.com:3200". It might be the detection in Awesome Miner isn't perfect for this scenario. Do you want to use 1.4 or is 1.5 an option?
2423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 08, 2018, 10:47:12 AM
@ patrike
Any chance you can can have the Avalons deliver full reports on each miner attached to their controller? Currently stats break down to each AUC device reporting the miners attached to it as 1 big miner.

The stats *are* in the api so here's the API log:

Awesome Miner is currently only displaying the information based on the devices in the API's. Each devices can then have 4 - 5 sub devices that is reported in a vendor specific way in these API's. Each of these sub devices represent a physical miner. With the current version of Awesome Miner, it uses the same device concept as for any other miner, and you might get 3 - 4 devices listed on the ASIC tab - even if the number of physical miners are 12 or more.

I would be possible for Awesome Miner to use the vendor specific information in the API's to dig deeper into the information and list all physical miners as a device on the ASIC tab - with individual hashrates and temperature information for each.

From a management point of view it's however still a only single large miner in Awesome Miner, as pool operations and similar are only set to the R-Pi controller. Each physical miner is only made available with monitoring information over the API's, but all of them are still controlled like single miner.

Hi all,

Quick suggestion for the devs:

I have my time period for statistics set to 24 hours average because I mine to some Yiimp pools with shit coins and on current it mines shit coins that peak in profitability for only a couple of minutes then crash hard so I end up earning less.

24 hours average works well to fix this but I want to use current for nicehash and 24 hour average for everything else obviously because you actually get paid current rate for nicehash.

I am hoping the ability to select this could be added.

Also coincalculators.io has the ability to show profitability for 24h/6h/3h/current, maybe you could add those options if using coincalculators.io
Thanks for the feedback. I've had some similar requests for the current vs 24h settings, so this will be supported in the future.

For coincalculators, they only provide the current and 24h values over the API's, but it's probably possible to have a discussion with them to provide the 3h and 6h values as well.

I have a little problem, which must be my fault, because nobody else in the telegram group happens to him.

If you look at the capture you will see that the rig4 is undermining Nicehash, but it does not mark profit, down in the console you see that everything is correct, and if I go to the nicehash page it detects everything well and gives me the benefits.

It happens to me in all the miners, and only happens to me with Nicehash, in the other Pools if it marks the profit of what I am undermining.

I've been asking my telegram colleagues and asking about the options and I have not seen anything wrong. I have even added cryptodredge 0.8.3 the latest version to AM and nothing, I still can not see the profit of the mined in nicehash in real time.

I'm using an external Nicehash address, I've also used the BTC address that gives me nicehash when you login, it just does not work. It's very strange ... any advice?

Could it be by cryptodredge?
Is it the same issue if you look on the Online Services tab, as this is the data Awesome Miner uses to calculate the profit during mining? Is Nicehash showing any profit for Lyra2z? Are any Nicehash algorithms showing up correctly on the Online Services tab?

Hello Patrike,
In managed software section, i tried to set a local share as a custom url but it doesn't seem to work. Rigs don't download software.
In custom url field i tried something like this :  \\NAS\myshare\software-1.0.zip
Could you enable this ? For software not on github like z-enemy miner, it can be useful to update this way instead of waiting you update AM.
Currently only URL's (like http) that's supported, but it will look into this case as well. It should be quite easy to support from what I can see right now.

Update: I've just implemented support for file shares like in your example. It will be part of the next release.

Are there plans to update SRB Miner to V 1.6.5?  Its been out for a while but no update in Awesome Miner.  Thanks!
It's included in the development release 5.3.9. To get access to development versions, open the Options dialog in Awesome Miner. In the General section, enable Check for development versions. Then go to the Menu and click Check for updates

I'm trying to move my Awesome Miner install to a different computer but no matter which method I try, what I end up with on the target system is not complete.

I have tried using the built-in Export function and selecting everything (Pools, Group Pools, External Miners, Managed Miners), but after import on the target computer, many of the pools are missing, as are all the miner hosts.

I also tried moving the ConfigData.xml file over to the new computer, but that still did not provide a ready to run environment.

Has anyone else run into this issue, or am I missing some obvious step(s)?

Good morning Patrike quick question for you.

I am always on the bleeding edge of miners and using betas hours after they are released. When trying to benchmark many of them, I simply get a "unknown option --benchmark" message and then the software just mines on some random pool and usually the wrong algo (z-enemy) is the latest one doing this.

It would be really nice if the benchmark page could be reworked to have a dropdown to choose:

1) Select the software you wish to benchmark
2) Select the algo you wish to benchmark
3) The pool for a matching coin is selected from the profit switching section so I don't have to be constantly maintaining random pools for that info

This would be a huge help and improvement over the current dialog as it is not even sortable by software..

As always, thank you for your work!
In the recent versions of Awesome Miner, the benchmark dialog has a checkbox for "Benchmark without a pool". When checked, Awesome Miner will tell the mining software to run in benchmark mode when supported, which for some software results in adding "--benchmark" to the command line. If you uncheck this setting, the benchmarking will be using a pool and no "--benchmark" should be added.

Thanks for your feedback for the benchmark feature. These are good points and can for sure be input to future improvements.

Thanks! I will include this one in the next update.

With the recent versions of Awesome Miner, it's also possible to manually enter this URL in the Options dialog, Managed Software section, for CryptoDredge. That could be useful for those that want to use the latest mining software versions right away without having to wait for the next Awesome Miner update.
2431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 08, 2018, 09:21:24 AM
@patrike will you implement this miner for bytom on AM? https://github.com/NebuTech/BTMiner_NebuTech/releases

one feature I'd like to see on AM... usually I set the hashrate and power consumption of a complete rig on the algo page, but it happens that sometimes I have a two or three gpu rig and AM keep showing in the miner page the consumption of a complete rig and not the real consumption. Do you think it can be added as a new features that in the miners tab, in the "Coin" column we will be able to see the real $USD costs calculated with the actual consumption of the rig?

thanks
marco
This one got an API very recently, so can probably be supported in one of the new few versions.

Using real power consumption is planned to be supported in future. It would also make sense to detect that when benchmarking.
2432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 06, 2018, 07:37:22 AM
found a bug, @patrike.

automatic download of custom managed software does not work.
I can create a custom software and add all the download links, folder & executable names and so on to its properties. but then I can't enable that software in any of my profit profiles. when trying to save a profile with new managed software enabled, AM tells me, that I should click the "Configure" button and specify the path. basically it's locked with "Specify existing installation path" option selected, and I can't choose "automatic download" option at all.
I will take a look at this one - thanks for reporting it.

I have another feature in the pipeline where you will be able to use a C# script as a rule action, to set a time limited wallet/worker name on a profit profile. You will be able to run the rule on a schedule you define.
any updates on this?
please make me happy Smiley

thank you for your work.
This is implemented already, but not yet documented as it's quite low-level.

An example of how it can be used is the following C# script action, but I will have to provide some documentation for it before it's really useful
Code:
using AwesomeMiner.Components.ProfitSwitching.Pools;

public class ActionScript
{
private ContextProvider Context = ScriptManager.Context;

public bool Execute(List<IMinerBase> list)
{
// Specify duration for how long the changes should be used
const int DurationMinutes = 45;

// Pool configuration
SwitchingProfile swProfile = new SwitchingProfile();
swProfile.EnabledPools = OnlineServiceType.MiningPoolHub;
swProfile.MiningPoolHubWorker = "newuser.1";

Context.ProfitSwitcher.SetTemporaryProfitProfileSettings(list, DurationMinutes, swProfile);
return true;
}

}

CryptoDredge v 0.8.2 fixes a bug where phi2 (LUX) fails - "Type is not convertible to string"
https://github.com/technobyl/CryptoDredge/releases

You can temporarily edit Cryptodredge under managed software;
Download url: https://github.com/technobyl/CryptoDredge/releases/download/v0.8.2/CryptoDredge_0.8.2_cuda_9.1_windows.zip
Folder name: CryptoDredge_0.8.2

many thanks!

Interface Offline (Green) since upgrading to 0.8.2

Edit:
apparently issue with CD itself, hope it gets fixed soon
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4807821.msg43560696#msg43560696

Seems to me that CryptoDredge has problems starting the api when the port (here:4028) have recently
been used (by CD). Seems it might not close the sockets properly. (lots of TIME_WAITs to 127.0.0.1:4028)

Restarting CD after 3-4 minutes usually makes it start the api - when the sockets are closed.

actually it listens on that default API bind address (127.0.0.1:4068) instead of using correct address from the command line Smiley
Thanks for all comments about the latest CryptoDredge release. Right now Awesome Miner uses 0.8.0 in the latest development release and the API is working in that release. I will wait with including later versions until the API issue is resolved.

Hello All,

Any one has receive notification message from CloudServiceBot Telegram ?

I not receive message from telegram, bot still working?
Can you please re-add the "@CloudServicesBot" in Telegram? I had to re-register the Telegram bot yesterday, as it for an unknown reason became unregistered.

Hello @patrike, this error that is reflected in notifications, it would be nice to indicate the a-l-g-o to know which miner I have to review. If you look, it does not say anything about protocol, and I do not know what I should check.
That's a good feature suggestion - it's noted. Thanks

- Added variable support for webhook actions

@patrike I do not understand that function or how to use it, I could explain it and give me an example of use. Surely it will be of interest to more people.

Thank you
This is for the rule action "Send webhook request", where Awesome Miner can make an outgoing HTTP request. Some users uses the feature to let Awesome Miner send messages to other systems.

Recently it has also been the case of some ASIC miners that provides additional HTTP API's, where you can use the webhook feature in Awesome Miner to send any commands to these miners. The use of variables is that you can specify the Target Url as [MinerIp] for example. If you create this as a manual action, you can then select one or many miners in the Miners tab, and run this action on all the miners. The connections will be made to the IP of each selected miner.

See variable list at the bottom of this page:

Error Report:

New TDXMiner Integration only supports 10 GPUs in the monitoring portal, even though all 13 are working. This was the same issue when I manually installed TDXMiner in the old ethos version. However, it also reports some working GPUs as 0.0 hash, even though the tailing output shows them working, and the pool shows the correct hashrate as well.
Awesome Miner doesn't have any specifc support TDXMiner. Can you share more details on this issue from an Awesome Miner point of view?
2439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 02, 2018, 06:01:54 PM
snip..

If a pool is indicated as "Dead", it's considered Dead by the ASIC miner. Awesome Miner is simply displaying the pool connection status as reported by the Antminer, and Awesome Miner isn't related to this connection. However, I do agree that it sounds strange that it's reported as dead until you switch to it.

From what I can see in the log, Awesome Miner do send the commands to set pool priority to the Antminer as part of the profit switching:

Code:
7/31/2018 5:18:42 PM.973 [005] [S][ExternalMiner#15 - z9-12] Execute command: PoolCommand
7/31/2018 5:18:42 PM.982 [005] [S][ExternalMiner#15 - z9-12] Executing API command: PoolPriority 1,2,0

Can you test if the same operation works if you try it manually? On the Pools tab, click on the right side of the "Prioritize" button and select the menu item "Define Priority and Quota". Please give this feature a try as a troubleshooting step, as it also are sending the "PoolPriority" commands to the Antminers. You can look for "Executing API command: PoolPriority" in the log files when performing this operation.

The display of "Claymore" on the View Details tab is just a UI bug, and it will be corrected.

The "dead" thing is kind of interesting... long story short, I typo'd the "stratum+tcp://" part as "stratum+tcp//" (at least, i assume I did it...), so the 2nd and 3rd pool was showing as 'stratum+tcp://stratum+tcp//pool.name:port' in antminer. I didn't see this because of whatever bug causes the status page to stop working after I manually "change" a pool.

Oddly enough, these same definitions worked fine if I changed to a pool (which doesn't make sense either since the typo was there as well...).

net-net, looks like profit switching may be working now, the one I enabled has jumped to another coin as I was writing this up.

... and yeah, "prioritize" now works.

Is it possible to "prioritize" an entire group or selection? Perhaps on the miner->rightclick menu, could you add a "Prioritize" option?

-j
Thanks for the update. The Prioritize button only operates on a single selected miner. If you have multiple miners they may not have the same pools, but what you point out here might be for the scenario when then in fact do.

Hi all,

Just thought I would show off the web interface I made for Awesome Miner:
http://stats.finnsk3.com/

It uses the Awesome Miner API along with Nvidia-SMI and and API to my enphase solar controller.
I am also using a CLI based overclocking tool I wrote in C to apply my overclocks as I hate msi ab.

That's the public view, as I am authenticated I see stop,start,restart,reboot,set TDP,set overclocks buttons.

The rigs are all on TPLink HS100/HS110 smart power points and the interface monitors the rigs and if they are unreachable for 5minutes it turns the power point off, waits 30 seconds then turns it back on. All the rigs are set in bios to boot on power outage.

I have onpeak/offpeak power costing so during week days for 8 hours a day my power costs twice as much so my TDP limits are automatically heavily restricted during peak power cost.

When any of my 1080ti rigs start mining Ethereum it automatically launches the ethenlargement pill and closes it if they stop mining Eth.

If I launch discord or a game etc. on my main rig my monitoring script stop the rig from mining, set's my 1080tis TDP to 350w and sets my gaming clocks, resumes mining when I exit all games.

Scripts running on my server:

Now you have something to aim for Awesome Miner devs Tongue
Great work! Very cool with the solar integration as well.
