3121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will governments regulate AMMs like Uniswap? on: August 21, 2021, 10:54:47 PM
There is every possibility of government making future move to regulate DEXs. Take for instance IDEX which used to be popular before Uniswap came, at a point, it mandated users to register with an email, while users from the US are not allowed to use the platform, even though it's supposed to be a DEX.
Wait a minute. IDEX even went to an extent of restricting users?  Grin

I haven't used the platform for ages. I think I stopped using it in early 2018. This goes to show that this so-called exchange running on smart contracts aren't actually decentralized. Very many novice traders are still being fooled.

I am yet to see a "decentralized exchange" that operates like Bisq. I am not saying Bisq is perfect
3122  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All Binance users are now subject to immediate KYC verification on: August 21, 2021, 12:17:07 AM
I don't see it as a problem. For average users, BTC0.06 daily limit is still high. Still better than those exchanges that are asking for KYC even for small withdrawals.
Have you read the announcement carefully, or you are just replying because you feel like you need to?

It's very clear that after a certain period, no one is going to be left out. Old or new users. If you want to continue trading on Binance. You have to first pass KYC verification just like Bitmex is doing right now.

Are you willing to bet on binance keeping your data safe after an ugly past? I certainly wouldn't even have any hope.

Overreacting for me. 100% I will trust Binance for that since I always used them especially the P2P part. If you don't use Binance regularly, then just ignore the KYC, simple as that. And besides in general, our identity is not always private.
I am being a realist here. It's up to you if you trust them 100%. That doesn't stop me from point out their flaws and saying the truth.
3123  Other / Archival / Re: ByBit - Derivatives Exchange on: August 20, 2021, 11:59:26 PM
Bybit will now have instant withdrawals like other traditional spot exchanges, as opposed to the 0:00AM UTC, 8:00AM UTC, and 4:00PM UTC withdrawal times they had initially. In an email I received, the instant withdrawals have limits;

It's great to see Bybit stepping up, especially after the Binance drama. They may not have so many pairs clattered over like Binance, but it's a better option.
3124  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All Binance users are now subject to immediate KYC verification on: August 20, 2021, 11:37:23 PM
Hopefully, Binance will also concern about this and ensure their users about the security of the users' data.
Well, don't just hope. In fact, don't have any, because  It turns out, one of the biggest exchange's customer KYC data was leaked about two years ago and Binance even confirmed it; Binance Confirms Hacker Obtained Its Users' KYC Data from 3rd-Party Vendor

Like the old saying goes, "No, system is perfect"
Are you willing to bet on binance keeping your data safe after an ugly past? I certainly wouldn't even have any hope.
3125  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All Binance users are now subject to immediate KYC verification on: August 20, 2021, 11:19:58 PM
Not all users but new users will be subjected to KYC verification.
Updates to Binance Services - https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/51bf294e26324211a4731ca998e110ca

But old users can still use the platform but with reduced daily withdrawal limit to 0.06btc (for basic verification).

Updates to Daily Withdrawal Limits - https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/9df8225c061b455da5c7cc293cd08a70

So for old traders, they can still use binance but with reduced limits.
If you are just a small timer, this is still good because not many traders can max out their daily limit.

I suggest you read the whole announcement again and internalize it. You must be mistaken into thinking  old users will be left out in the new development. There's no exception. We all know the pressure that Binance has been facing lots of pressure from regulators of late, and it's about time they craved in or get sued and fined. Don't be naive

my problem is that it doesn't make sense to do KYC on a site where we don't know where the physical office is and the anonymous owner
But you did KYC years ago regardless  Wink
Binance isn't yet clear about their HQ. I tried reading about their HQ and almost  got my head spinning  Grin
3126  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase heads toward Japan on: August 20, 2021, 10:45:26 PM
Hacks are released when market looks to have corrections and I don't think it is coincidence between the market price and hack news.
On the bigger time intervals, the Market hasn't been on a correction lately, has it? I bet it's just a concidence.

Remember the Kucoin and Binance hacks?
I think the market just reacts to the news of the hack and not the other way round. Insider information about a hack on one exchange, most especially an average one like liquid can't hugely influence the market.
3127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question on Blockchain wallet and new coin to come on: August 18, 2021, 11:55:15 PM
You could use the remaining keyword "Bitoke" it seems it is a cloud mining site with offers and surveys.

To earn Bitcoin from that site you need to do some offers and surveys to earn gems that you can use to mine on the site. This is just what I understand according to some video posted on youtube.

@Shinobi226

About SNC coin I would suggest you go directly on their official thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1934763.0

And be careful on creating a wallet from a 3rd party it's not safe if you've been invited from a not well-known site don't use them instead ask the link here on the forum if it was safe. But since it was removed from your post it seems that the link you are trying to share is scam or possibly not secured and safe.
He was talking about Star Network Channel somewhere in his post, so I doubt if he meant the SunContract token  Smiley
3128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cex.io Less Amount that requested received on: August 18, 2021, 11:26:14 PM
Before using any custodial crypto service or exchange. I suggest you first get familiar with their terms and conditions plus deposit, withdrawal limits, trading fees and withdrawal fees in order to avoid such shocking discoveries on the day you decide to withdraw your funds.

I checked their withdrawal commissions, and they seem to charge 0.3% plus a flat fee of $25. You can do the math.

2. https://cex.io/fee-schedule#/tab/payments
3129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question on Blockchain wallet and new coin to come on: August 18, 2021, 11:09:57 PM
The link of what you were asking for seems to have been removed. Can you please send a screenshot of the link of the site you were asking about?

Who is suggesting to you to invest in star network channel "coin". Have you checked the star network channel support and asked them if they have any coin they are affiliated with?
Even then, nobody just comes out of nowhere and suggests to you to invested in a certain coin? You can't predict the market just like that.
3130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What time frame do you use when day trading to set your support and resistance? on: August 17, 2021, 11:15:02 PM
Even when doing short term trading, bigger time frames tend to give a much clearly picture of the exact support and resistance levels. So I prefer looking at the weekly, daily, 4H time frames first even when trading 15-minute charts.

Resistance and support levels basing on short time frames like 15-minute charts can easily be broken through, so they don't mean much.
3131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ByBit in the UK on: August 17, 2021, 11:07:19 PM
Is it possible to easily use ByBit in the UK?  I looked at some youtube video which said it was not but I believe you can get around this by using a  VPN.  Anyone using it from the UK and what VPN are you using?
I am not from the UK, but I have seen some people suggest using paid VPNs as a way of circumventing the restrictions. Some of them are still trading on the platform

Who or what prevents you from using it in the UK?  Is it the banks refusing to deposit money with it or what?
It could be a very dangerous move thou if Bybit decided to ask for KYC verification one day with your money in the account. So I think it's best to just avoid such situations.  Ofcourse you can't deposit using Banks from the UK directly.

Also, after purchasing some crypto on ByBit, how do you convert your money back into fiat afterwards?
Transfer BTC, ETH, XRP or EOS to some other platform that's not banned and then convert it to fiat
3132  Other / Archival / Re: ByBit - Derivatives Exchange on: August 17, 2021, 10:44:30 PM
ByBit continues to develop its recently launched spot trading. A couple of days ago, the exchange added a new XRP\USDT, XRP\BTC spot pairs:
Yep made some decent profits on the XRP/USDT spot market when I was so busy to trade derivatives  Wink

How I wish they would add a dozen more trading pairs for decent and hot selling coins like DOT, SOL, LINK as quick as possible. I am tired of switching between Binance (for spot) and Bybit(for derivatives)

However, the KYC is definitely a drawback (although expected at this point).
Their KYC requirements are still okay for now. How many platforms let you trade derivatives minus verification today?
3133  Other / Archival / Re: Bitmex changes the fee rate. Good news and bad news on: August 17, 2021, 10:25:55 PM
But fair enough, it's a move to align with Deribit and other players who are also offering the -0.01%/0.05% fee structure it seems.
Except for Binance and a few, most of the old popular derivatives platforms have actually been using the old fee structure of -0.025%/0.075%. I don't know what could have triggered the changes, but I think they are trying to slowly push away small volume traders.

In general, their updates have recently been a bit upsetting. First, they changed the size of the minimum order from $1 to $100, now they have reduced the rebate by 2.5 times. A couple more of these hilarious updates and you can start thinking about switching to another derivative platform.  Undecided
I moved on a long time ago  Grin
At least I have phemex and bybit to play with for now.
3134  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert:] Liyam لیام on: August 17, 2021, 09:36:47 PM
They collected this by cash and bank transfer.
Iranian public had no clue what is the difference between bitcoin and shitcoin!
People easily get tricked by scammers when they are told that some random coin or token is going to grow as big as bitcoin. Watch those scammers, most of them hide behind Bitcoin's success to sell their scams.

I had some people in my community who totally believed that Onecoin would be bigger than Bitcoin  Grin

There was an NGO that introduced people with this knowledge.
The NGO created a warning list for scam coins but the government banned NGO!!!

https://news.bitcoin.com/tehran-government-bans-iran-blockchain-association/
It's quite sad that the Government that is supposed to protect people from such scams instead decided to the opposite.
3135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you put away your arrogance? on: August 17, 2021, 09:15:33 PM
Sorry to say this, but your friend sounds stupid, backward and ignorant.

Today, a friend who works in the traditional Internet field announced his opinion after knowing that I bought Bitcoin and some altcoins:

1. He thinks this is a casino. Only those who open the casino and the lucky ones can make money. Don't indulge in gambling and don't be blinded by the deviation of survivors;
Can he say the same about trading stocks, forex, commodities etc?

I mean, the whole world of money is about some people winning and other people losing.

2. He believes that the fault tolerance of the blockchain is too poor and the efficiency is too low;
And yet he didn't suggest any better options.

3. He pointed out that the public chain cannot be upgraded, otherwise the consensus will be torn and various forks;
Let's talk Bitcoin. Is he trying to say Bitcoin network has never undergone any upgrade since its inception?
Your friend's Ignorance is off the charts.

4. He believes that giants represented by Facebook can apply blockchain in the financial field, but this has nothing to do with ordinary people's speculation, and it has nothing to do with the public chain;
Tell him to try to look up Libra coin. A Facebook side "blockchain" project that failed before it even started,

5. He believes that Bitcoin is essentially a religion, so it's okay to be bullish, but it's nonsense to talk about blockchain killer applications.
What a lame kind of analogy he has. According to him. I guess fiat currencies and Gold are also small religions.

Time will prove everything.
Right The other thing getting "halved" every 4 years are the critics and nonbelievers.
3136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Next bear market might not be that bearish on: August 17, 2021, 08:05:39 PM
Your assumption is wrong. Every market has both a bull and bear run. The tricky bit is predicting when a bull or bear run will happen. It's almost impossible to do so but be very sure that it will happen sooner or later.

Like the old saying goes... "What goes up must come down"
Nvidia like any other good manufacturer was trying to make sure they cover all the market or else some competitor is always looking for away of coming in and overthrow them. You can leave such gaps if you are a serious manufacturer.
3137  Other / Meta / Re: Creating فارسی (Persian) Sub-Board under Local Board on: August 16, 2021, 11:55:36 PM
If you want to have a separate sub-board. Then there's still a long way to go in terms of activity. One of the requirements is if the current other languages thread is very activity with so many native Persian speakers posting there.

In that section, the Việt (Vietnamese) , Pakistan and বাংলাদেশ (Bangladesh) user s seem to be so active but are yet to get a local sub board of their own. I think I have seen several requests for at least one of the languages before, but they have all been in vain so far.
3138  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert:] Liyam لیام on: August 16, 2021, 11:24:44 PM
I followed the link, but unfortunately I cannot read Persian. I am curious about how they about how they managed to pull it off and scam people worth approximately $90M?

Did they market themselves as the next biggest coin like the Onecoin ponzi scam, or they just created a random ICO and sold their coins at a very high price only for the token to dump once it hit the market?
3139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many consecutive looses can you handle in trading? on: August 16, 2021, 11:13:55 PM
There are so many factors such as my win rate before I started making consecutive losses or how tight my stop losses are. Tighter stop losses means my account won't take a huge hit whenever I make a wrong call, so I can make as many consecutive losses as possible minus getting concerned. Maybe 6-7 consecutive losses if my previous win rate was above 60% with the same strategy
3140  Economy / Reputation / Re: REQUEST FOR ATTENTION OF: All betking.io Signature Campaign Participants on: August 16, 2021, 10:23:27 PM
The evidence is more than good enough, so red tags and/or red flags can be left on the profiles by you or any member.
Correction: "red flags" (I assume you mean type 2 or 3) should only be created by actual victims of the scammer.
See the Flag creation page:
Quote
[type 1]   Due to various concrete red flags, I believe that anyone dealing with this user has a high risk of losing money. (This flag will only be shown to guests/newbies.)
[type 2]   This user violated a casual or implied agreement with me, resulting in damages.
[type 3]   This user violated a written contract with me, resulting in damages.
I  meant type 1 flags. Only that I didn't specify the type of flag and ended up looking like I was generalizing.

What do you think if one opened type 1 flags against all accounts wearing the betking signature, which is a known scam? Is it in order, or is it too harsh when it comes to trust flag usage?
