2141  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITSTAMP exchange biased rule that chased users away on: July 10, 2022, 10:37:41 PM
flip the mindset..

a $10 fee a month is a way to say "stop using bitstamp as a bank account long term", the advice is and should be to take your funds out and own your own crypto in your own wallet.
Or just don't create an account and use Bitstamp at all, there are lots of exchanges out there with no such rule.

From the way I look at the rule, they are instead forcing clients to use the exchange to store their crypto. More like "transact this number of times during this period and keep a minimum balance in our exchange or else we shall charge you an inactivity fee"
2142  Other / Meta / Re: Hey, is there a way to delete my account? on: July 09, 2022, 11:15:25 PM
If so, does the content that I posted on here stay on here under my name or does it show up as "deleted user" or something like that?
For the cae of Nuked accounts, the name stays

Quote
I dont really mind my account remaining on here but the issue being my IP address being stored/logged could cause me trouble in the future. So does deleting my account remove all the stuff I posted?

If the account is nuked. Everything is deleted except the account name and posts that have been quoted by other users in their replies, but I doubt if they will even delete or nuke your account.

Also, there are about 2 third party sites that will still have records of your archived posts.

2143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1-5 min scalping on binance is it worth it on: July 08, 2022, 11:42:22 PM
I found one that had unbelievable results so have been paper trading it on 3commas and it is not working the same at all. I am shocked  Grin
Did you try to find out why the strategy failed when you did paper trading? High leverage? Tight stop loss? Low risk reward ratio? poor win rate?
What results were you basing on when you said it had unbelievable results?

Quote
I have found another one or two which also have good results but dont know if it is possible to actually trade the strategies.
They consist of a lot of trades with low profit or loss eg 0.2-0.8%
It's very possible, but you are most likely going to trade 1- minute charts. I have one of my futures trading strategies focusing on 0.6% take profit and 0.4% stop loss, but I don't use it all the time

I would if successful use leverage with these trades but is it even possible to trade such small fluctuations and be profitable
It's possible, but very hard. There will be combination of factors
1. Market situations (trendy or sideways? Volatile or non-volatile?)
2. Liquidity of the futures contract you are trading
3. Leverage you are using
4. Risk management strategy
2144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BITCOIN + Crypto Market Analysis on: July 08, 2022, 11:30:51 PM
Many people follow these recommendations and they usually end up losing money. Most of those YouTube producers don’t actually trade. Most of their income is from the revenue streams.
Yeah, some even just use demo accounts... lol, while they mislead newbies into losing real month.

Some YouTubers get their cuts from project owners and platforms to shill them on YouTube with stupid technical analysis. I know because some guy confessed how much they would even pay him.

I prefer someone who performs live trading and doesn't push people to "subscribe" "like" the videos or sign up using their referral links in the description.
2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "BSV and Monero are the way, and Craig Wright is Satoshi" on: July 08, 2022, 11:09:20 PM
Yeah it’s sad about XMR, I had high hopes for it. I’m actually still holding a bag, I don’t think it’ll ever see another ath. It’s been killed by first world governments pressure on exchanges for kyc etc which totally destroys the whole point of it.

Screw first world govs & of course screw BSV.
There are literary a number of exchanges which you can use to swap Monero for BTC and vice versa without having to worry about KYC, but I guess the exchanges are not so much exposed and most people don't know about them.

The likes of
1. coinswap.click
2. Kilos swap (only available on tor)
3. Infinity Exchanger (only available on tor)
4. majesticbank.su
2146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Eth 2.0 can be delayed to 2024... on: July 08, 2022, 10:44:25 PM
-snip-
I think you misunderstood what I wrote, but it was actually a similar point I was trying to put across while replying to devil2man who was saying cardano would overtake ETH in coinmarketcap rankings.
2147  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Hopefully someone can help on: July 08, 2022, 10:26:51 PM
If you do not want to get into mining yourself, your best bet is to sell it to someone for a little bit of discount.
This is true given the fact that mining profitability has also dropped since on top of the buyer not being sure if they miners he is buying were attained in a legit way or illegally.
2148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BITCOIN + Crypto Market Analysis on: July 07, 2022, 11:47:53 PM
I remember one of the channels has several analyzes on the same day, and then after a month they delete the wrong predictions and tells the users that the technical analysis of the channel was accurate.
This is almost similar to how "fixed match tips" sellers would do it back in the day. A Facebook page or telegram channel would make so many predictions, some of which were even hidden from the timeline and once it's full time, they would then delete all the wrong ones and un-hide the correct ones. To someone naive, they would think the tips were actually accurate and would be tricked into send money  Grin

OP if it's YouTube views that you are looking for here, then you are wasting time... Just make charts with your tech analysis, make a small overview and post it here.
2149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Different between XAU/USD and XAU/USDm on: July 07, 2022, 11:40:45 PM
what is the meaning if a 'm' letter after currency pair??

ex- XAU/USDm
it would have been better if you had mention and exchange or broker which had such trading pairs but as far as I know the suffix "m" in the exness platform had something to do with the account type - standard account type

So the reward would be calculated differently.

2150  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ ✅ ✅ [ANN] Shaker.finance - trusted & safe BTC mixing solutions ✅ ✅ ✅ on: July 07, 2022, 11:13:01 PM
Blender.io was using cloudflare for years. Plenty of Russian darknet forums use or used cloudflare. If you have some other alternative but cloudflare let me know
Also, Blender.io "went MIA" all of a sudden.

How come the US Authorities decided to sanction them? I am pretty sure they were surveilling them, and even they knew how the Korean hackers mixed the coins through the mixer.

About the alternatives, that's your work to do, my friend. I am just helping you look at things from different angles, so you can improve on your service where necessary.
2151  Other / Meta / Re: My Hero Member Account Hacked. please help on: July 07, 2022, 11:10:16 AM
I'm always happy when the recovery team works so well Cool
The flag and also negative trusts will certainly still be removed in my opinion and then your account will be as if nothing had happened.

Yeah, seriously.  I remember a time when account recovery was next to impossible if you got hacked, but things seem to have gotten easier in the past few years.

Glad you got your account back, jkoil.  I just removed my neg and hopefully others will do likewise.

It has nothing to do with the account's recovery team or cryptios though. jkoil claims the person hacked his account and email address and didn't change the email address. So he recovered the email address with the help of google support and then got back his account. So if I understand, no email was written to the cryptios team.
2152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need someone's help. If you can help that would be great on: July 05, 2022, 11:52:29 PM
I don't have much assets in ETH network, but some on bsc and polygon... Should i transfer them too?
Transfer them as soon as possible, or else you might lose all those other assets in BSC and polygon as soon as the hacker realizes you have them. I think the hacker has access to your private key or seed phrase

i did check.. ftx transaction did made it to my wallet but soon after in less than 10 seconds it was sent to that address mentioned on the screenshot!
and yes I'm still trying to find where it went wrong. can't pin point the exact problem yet
It doesn't matter, what matters right now is someone has access to your seeds or private keys. Make sure you use a fresh device or fresh OS. Do not store your seeds online or on the cloud.
2153  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ ✅ ✅ [ANN] Shaker.finance - trusted & safe BTC mixing solutions ✅ ✅ ✅ on: July 05, 2022, 11:41:41 PM
Speaking for cloudflare - some of the online exchangers from bestchange use it successfully and there are no mitm attacks or anything else
The difference between them and your service is that they are exchangers (some of them are AML complaint) and yours is a mixing service. You do realize that when you start mixing coins, Governments and law enforcement agencies could start surveilling your service?

How do you guarantee that your customers are safe from surveillance when your service is using Cloudflare?
2154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Eth 2.0 can be delayed to 2024... on: July 05, 2022, 11:10:36 PM
Cardano is a valid competitor of ethereum and perhaps will manage to take it second place on coinmarketcap, the announcements and proclamations of the imminent release of eth 2.0 and pos may have been obviously premature given the various tests of doubtful success so the delay until 2024 is plausible, possible to the delight of all miners
If i recall well, Ripple was at one point number two in coinmarketcap surpassing Ethereum. Did that mean Ripple was better than Ethereum?
Where is Ripple right now?

I still think Ethereum is a very big player in the crypto space, whether we want it or not. Cardano can only try to rival Ethereum as much as it can, but won't succeed.
2155  Other / Meta / Re: My Hero Member Account Hacked. please help on: July 05, 2022, 10:46:34 PM
Actually everybody could claim to be the real owner of an account that is not used for some months.
Luckily is not so easy to get access to somebodyelse's account.

The account was recently part of those accounts that we being sold, and it got tagged b y DT members. If OP is serious and contacts the recovery team. I believe they have more than enough evidence to know if he's the real owner.
2156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Algoritmic trading strategies & articles on: July 05, 2022, 08:29:34 PM
You got it all wrong, bro... I suggest you read the article that OP just shared to get you started in understanding well what arbitrage trading is (https://medium.com/geekculture/automated-triangular-arbitrage-of-cryptos-in-4-steps-a678f7b01ce7)

I can not count arbitrage trading as spot trading, though if you have the knowledge of arbitrage trading, it means you have the knowledge of spot trading but they both differ.
If I may ask, which markets do you use to buy and sell assets when carrying out arbitrage trading?
Aren't they spot markets? Or you have other special types of markets in mind?

Quote
In spot trading, traders take advantage of buying at lower price of a coin like bitcoin, and they will sell at higher price to make profit.
Spot trading means you buy or sell the asset at a current market price and the delivery of the underlying asset is done almost instantly (on the spot)
To perform arbitrage trading, you use a spot market to execute the buy and sell orders.

Quote
In arbitrage trading, traders look for price of coins on different exchanges and move the coins from one exchange to another, converting it to stable coin or fiat to make profit.
Whether same exchange or different exchanges, they are still spot markets.

Also, there is what we call triangular arbitrage. This can be done in one exchange. For example, Buy BTC using USDT (BTC/USDT) >>> Buy ETH using BTC (ETH/BTC)>>> Sell ETH for USDT (ETH/USDT) >>> Profit and repeat...
This all happens on spot markets.

2157  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4hr chart! on: July 05, 2022, 08:04:39 PM
The 4hr chart shows bitcoin hovering around the upper level of the bollinger band. This has resulted in rapid dumping of corn throughout 2022, so now is not the time to fomo.
If only you made this post with chart, It would be nice and easier to interpret from your point of view, but yeah bear market is still on. We won't get out of it overnight.

Better not to look at the charts too often these days  Grin
Does this also apply to day or intraday traders?  Grin
2158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Algoritmic trading strategies & articles on: July 05, 2022, 07:45:07 PM
I do not know much about other type of trading than trading on centralized exchanges, not arbitrage trading but spot trading
Arbitrage trading is actually spot trading, but taking advantage of the asset value difference across different trading pairs or exchanges.

I haven't yet go enough time, but the articles might be having good content. Bookmarked!
2159  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: July 05, 2022, 12:22:12 AM
I was hoping those participating in the Best Change signature campaign would take a look at this thread and then give some feedback on the subject matter: SCAM EXCHANGE MONITOR: BestChange
I personally saw it and posted what I thought in one of the threads, but this should not be a case for immediate alarm for most sig campaign participants. It's not a must that participants should have an opinion on any complaint that comes up. I believe some members don't even check on scam accusations board.

Quote
This is not the first time Best Change has received negative press but what do Best Change signature campaign participants think about the manner in which the business they promote is conducting itself?
Most of the negative press was initially based on "Guilty until proven innocent" If you were active when this happened. Most members who rushed to send them negative feedback had to remove or change it to neutral.  A couple of scam accusations have come by, but even just as an exchanger monitor, they did try to resolve them amicably.

Quote
Will any signature campaign participants conclude the best course of action is for them to leave and find a different signature campaign?
Are BestChange.com scammers? If they are, please let me know.

Quote
Will any signature campaign participants post views defending the manner in which Best Change is operating?
I believe this is a choice, not a must.
2160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost everything in 2012, Lost everything in 2018, now building since 2020 on: July 04, 2022, 11:54:05 PM
Your story is more like a classic. Despite losing all that in 2012 and 2018, you have never given up and that could be what could make the difference in your life

I personally had some good amount of BTC and ETH in 2018 that could change my life so much today, but sold most of it off to get a house and get some things I had dreamed in life. When I look at my holdings back then compared to the recent bull run's prices. It would be an insane amount in USD by my standards  Cheesy

But today, I still say I will never stop believing in Bitcoin.
