This quite similar to what that security Bittiraha just unveiled this last week. This might even be an article about a spinoff company of theirs, not sure.
It's not similar, it's the same thing The coins are made and distributed by the folks running Bittiraha.fi

People are just shutting down rigs. You can see many on our forums saying they cannot cover electricity costs anymore. Sometimes it seems like only China and some parts of America are mining Also, summer is coming, and it's starting to get a bit hot on some places... So yeah there you have it

To start with, if I was Satoshi I wouldn't cash out But playing this scenario... Pretty impossible for him to remain anonymous. Even if he sold the coins OTC with an alias, and with fiat coming in through a fake account of some sorts... I think the only way to remain relatively anonymous and sell those addresses with big balances would be selling the private key directly to someone, through a trusted intermediary. But that intermediary can quickly become untrusted. He could also sell the coins at a small discount to "buy" anonimity Just some thoughts...

Hello Everyone,
I am a young entrepreneur and I want my niche to be online P2P gambling, with no house edge. I believe this is a system where by provably fair sites can remove some of the stigmas associated with skill-based and chance games, as well as provide educated people (statisticians for example) and long-run method by which to make real returns from their knowledge despite an economy that undervalues their skills (even though they're paid more than the poultry that goes for average these days).
Anyhow, I understand that there are many counterpoints and draw backs from what I have said. We are aware that gambling has ruined lives before. Yet, recently governments (UK, Canada, Italy, etc.) has begun to offer online gaming as a way to generate taxes. Does government ownership of gambling make it more legitimate? Are the government's imposed limits a big difference in when it comes to the application of these devices? Are some governments/regions/jurisdictions more progressive than others?
This conversation is of particular interest to me so thank you for any and all input.
Open Ocean
If you're planning on offering a good dice site or something entirely new and different I think you're welcome. But you won't go far yourself without an house edge. And yes, Bitcoin is a good opportunity for some online gambling, so you'll always have a market there As for government ownership... Forget about it. I wouldn't spend a dime on a site that's publicly known to be somewhat government controlled.

This is a typical early investor ROI from Ponzi mining scheme, before they go tits up and leave scenario. Look at his screencap, it's a 5 year contract with no out it seems. No chance this service lasts 5 years. On the website it shows 12 months, and what looks like some sort of generic Bitcoin mine: They say their mines is located in South America and Asia, that they have access to cheap electricity, and create their own custom miners, but this is the first I've heard of this outfit, and something about them just doesn't smell legit. Bitcoin Cloud Services offers an easy and safe way to purchase hashpower without having to deal with the complex hardware and software setup. We are a team of mining experts with thorough knowledge in the digital currency sector. Bitcoin Cloud Services specializes in building the most efficient and reliable mining rigs that you can rent. Plus, we have experts for cooling and maintaining data centers. We are incorporated in the United Kingdom Name & Registered Office: BTC CLOUD SERVICES LTD 46-48 EAST SMITHFIELD TOWER BRIDGE BUSINESS CENTRE SUITE 313 LONDON ENGLAND E1W 1AW Company No. 08935510 Status: Active Date of Incorporation 12/03/2014 Country of Origin: United Kingdom Company Type: Private Limited Company Source: http://companieshouse.gov.uk/Just don't trust this outfit for some reason. Something's off. Came here to post exactly that... Maybe the first users who ROI'd are just some kind of bait. This company clearly has some red flags... As with every other cloud provider!

I don't see how an altcoin can solve the problems presented. Its value can go up and down... What if it goes down? Also, what would be the difference between giving a few Dnotes, or giving a few Bitcoins? If you really wanted to help students, you'd give them Bitcoins

Great! The Casascius coins are sorely missed. What is the map on the 1/10 coin?
It's not a map... It's a horse! lol Lots of people are confusing this... Not trying to diss or anything, but I don't really see anything except a horse...

What are excluded posts? Investor based games from your post history. Didn't quite understand, would you mind explaining it a bit more? Also one more thing, why does logging in bit-x require a phone message confirmation every time? Is there a way to disable it? Posts in the 'Investor-Based Games' section do not count. Bit-X utilises phone verification every time you login more higher security, it acts as 2FA. You can enable google authenticator instead if you wish! Yeah, I prefer GA, thank you. I've posted here 2 times so far (this being the 3rd), it's still marked as "Excluded Posts". It takes some time to make it into the "Final Posts"? They won't make it to final posts. You should read the OP

I'm very interested, but my question is: am I active and prominent enough?

Sounds nice, I'll try it soon! Is it the same vanitygen that is linked here? CPU+GPU or CPU only?
While it's not guaranteed that it matches the binaries, you can check out their repository here: https://github.com/bither/You can then see that they forked the original source code from samr7 and only made some changes with regard to compiling on OS X and specific libbed linux distros. Separate binary compiles are in /bither-desktop-java/vanitygen Code-wise, it looks like it calls those binaries similar to the way you would on a command line - so the GUI is in effect just a front-end similar to - but more polished than - that .bat file floating around on these forums somewhere Looks good, thanks for sharing Also, that Apple Watch app looks really cool!

marcotheminer, there are already avatar campaigns out there, will we have avatars by the end of the month? If not, is it possible to have the Bit-x signature and enroll in an avatar campaign for another site?
Currently, you may not use another site's avatar. I don't like the way people are giving up their entire avatar, if they are to sell their avatar, they should only have a portion showing the site (or have 100 unique CompanyX avatars..). Otherwise everyone gets confused. Alright, this is perfectly acceptable No worries, as for now I plan on being around, so I'll be waiting for the avatar campaign. As for giving up the entire avatar... I don't really mind, lol. Didn't even bother to change mine from the post-1st April joke I uploaded

I've been very busy but here is a quick announcement!
We've had over 50 orders so far, over 500 coins ordered. The first order number for a series L order was #328. The first order number for a series E order was #336.
Some countries have reportedly had abnormally expensive postage fees, we're working hard to fix all of that. Most recent fix was UK, where you can now order up to 20 coins with a cheap postage method.
342 here, ordered two coins... So my L is number 14 and my E is 6? If everyone in between 328-342 ordered a L series coin and if everyone between 336-342 ordered an E coin, then yes. However I doubt that, most likely the numbers are lower. I can check that later. All right, understood, thank you. It would be nice if you could check But no rushes. Coins are already ordered, whatever comes I accept, obviously But I'm really curious Will you be doing larger sized coins? I would definitely like 1BTC coins.
I remember reading somewhere they want to make different products, but's that's only future plans I guess... These first coins look nice and simple, if they make more coins, and bigger ones, it would benefit them a lot, so I bet they'll consider this. At least I hope they do We're definitely going to launch premium coins and collector specials later! Good, I'll be looking forward! But one thing at a time

One doesn't even need to visit or know more about Mineral to raise a red flag. We just need to look at ownership...

FYI: Bither wallet has implemented vanitygen into the wallet which gives makes it GUI vanitygen(sort of).
Sounds nice, I'll try it soon! Is it the same vanitygen that is linked here? CPU+GPU or CPU only?

Had a nice laugh with this. The news came a bit late, 1st of April is long gone

Ah, was looking forward to this! Thanks for publishing the results. The numbers look promising, but I'd like to point out a negative point: the users saying they lost coins on an exchange is really big in my opinion... Mentalities are changing and I hope this number reduces a lot, but the harm is there... I'm glad there are exchanges adopting many security features like Multisig! Looking forward to the next report.

Their coins look nice, simple and they aren't expensive. I hope they develop more models further ahead Ordered 2 coins from them as soon as pre-orders opened earlier today... Looking forward to have them!

Thank you, this is always handy
