321  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to help all people on: August 27, 2020, 09:29:43 AM
Of course they will, given that your intentions are pure and don't have any plans to lure and take advantage of them. But my intuition says you are a good man so keep it up Smiley.

However, I warn you since there's a big chance for you to get rejections. Brace yourself, it was a difficult task. Even how hard you explain this new tech and persuade them to try this, there are still people who will doubt and say it was a scam. Educating them well is a major key for your success but sometimes the problem is with them already (being close minded in most cases) so I advice you for not pushing yourself hard. Teach who are willing and respect who criticize, okay?
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which site do you use to get fresh updates on different projects event on: August 27, 2020, 07:34:23 AM
Like most of them said, this forum is a good source of latest and freshest news about various token launch. And to be more specific, go to Announcements (Altcoins). There you go Cheesy.

Hmm you can also try to subscribe in subreddits. Actually I think I saw a new token on /rCryptoMarket as I browse my news feed but I can't remember when. Well, better to see it for yourself. Good luck.
323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market Cap and Trading volume on: August 27, 2020, 04:59:59 AM
I'm not yet a trader but soon to be. I'm just like you, studying this field so let me share my insight Smiley.
1. What is your ideal or accepted market capitalization and trading volume for a token or coin before you do technical analysis?
I'm only planning to work around coins with 1B market cap and above (highest which is bitcoin would be most preferrable) because I think I'll be more comfortable with them. Coins with large market cap are usually major players thus expected to be reputable and considered strong through the years.

When it comes to the 50th coin you are pertaining about, ICON (am I right?), I might say that it is not a bad choice. I considered it a safe place for investment.
324  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good sections for newbie? on: August 27, 2020, 02:10:23 AM
I agree on those three threads you mentioned, they are really good starter pack for beginners. But I think there's nothing wrong if newbies go to other boards as well simply because I understand that all of them got different interests. We cannot suppress them if they want to explore further. So for me, there's nothing wrong of going into Alt Discussion despite of its bad reputation or even in the Off Topic section since it can be a place for unwinding if you are already tired of topics about crypto (but as much as possible go to Serious Discussion instead). For me there's no such thing as bad boards, every boards got their own essence. We just all should post responsibly to maintain everything orderly Smiley.
325  Other / Meta / Re: Spam advertisement on: August 27, 2020, 12:16:26 AM
This is my first time to encounter an "inappropriate advertising" (that's the comment I put every time I report such thread) here in Meta. Because usually, I only see this only on large boards like Bitcoin & Altcoin Discussion. What a gutsy man Grin!
326  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy over health on: August 26, 2020, 05:49:25 AM
do you think other nations will also follow suit and take risky measures like this one to generate funds needed for the fast recovery of the economy.
Whether our government will come that far due to desperation or not, it will surely make the situation even worse so I think it is not a good move. It is like having temporary relief with disastrous drawbacks Undecided. Thus, looking forward on our tourism should not be focused right now. I would agree if we are only talking about importing/exporting goods since you can assure that they are all clear once disinfected unlike to the risk could bring by a positive person (especially those asymptomatic). This will only add to the burden of our healthcare workers as contact tracing is difficult to execute.

Actually there's a simple logic there, we all know that corona virus is contagious so we must eliminate the possible carriers as much as possible. That's it. I know it is easy to say but hard to do. But we can't simply ignore science, finding an alternative solution for sustaining our economy is the best thing we can do.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: when will cryptocurrency go mainstream? on: August 26, 2020, 03:26:24 AM
Here in our local scene, I don't yet feel the presence of crypto adoption. Though the current pandemic open huge amount opportunities to transact digitally, for me crypto still don't get the spotlight Sad. People go to the usual means such as payment cards (like Visa and Mastercard) and other online financial services (like Paypal, Paymaya, Gcash etc.) instead of it.

I don't know about you guys but the majority of population here in our country are still not aware of crypto. And besides, most of people here are struggling on surviving at the moment. Spending and exploring new means of making transactions is not on the top of the list. That's why I think 2020 is not crypto's year.
328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't more people invest in btc? on: August 26, 2020, 01:48:36 AM
That's expected since stock market is on the mainstream long time ago already while bitcoin trading or let's say the cryptocurrency in general was only created several years from now. You should understand that crypto adoption is not vast at the moment but good thing we are slowly growing as time goes by Cheesy.

Nevertheless, I strongly believe that the word of bitcoin will spread all over the world soon. I hope everyone will hear about this promising technology and get benefited by it soon. Because honestly, crypto is easier to manage than stocks or other tradable commodities plus it is more affordable so I think everyone would love it
329  Other / Meta / Re: How are we expected to rank up? on: August 25, 2020, 09:11:29 AM
If you are a member having a bright knowledge especially when it comes to blockchain and computer programming then I would like to congratulate you in advance. Ranking up would not be a hard thing for you, I'm pretty sure you can hit Legendary rank because such discussions are mostly appreciated here Cheesy. But if not then that's fine, you can still earn merits while learning like most of the members . You can at least become always updated on the latest crypto news and post it here, create useful topics or try to be a generous type (this is proven and tested, someone out there can really appreciate your kindness). These are the common ways on how to earn merit faster.

Welcome here old lurker. Enjoy your stay here. Don't stress yourself too much. Just interact with others and let everything flows naturally Wink.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REALITIES & CHALLENGES OF INVESTMENT PLATFORMS. on: August 25, 2020, 06:00:35 AM
I'm curious on the investment platforms you mentiined so I tried to make a small research to know them more.

>For Allbullish
https://www.scamvoid.net/check/allbullish.com/

>For Pennywise Wealth Management
https://tbbob.com/scams/pennywise-wealth-management-review

Well, I'm not sure if my reference match the one you pertain but most probably it is. Though the latter one is only proven scam so far, I would still avoid those two if I were asked. You know, trusting on new platforms is very risky because they can easily escape whenever they want since their reputaion is not yet important for them. They are willing to dump it once they reach the hype they wanted, believe me. So if I were you, search for better options and this time choose an older one or simply invest to a good coin and manage your own wealth Smiley.
331  Economy / Economics / Re: The number of jobless people has crossed one million in US - worrying sign? on: August 25, 2020, 03:21:52 AM
The same is happening in the country I live in and I think in almost every country the unemployment rate has risen because of Covid-19
Yeah! This pandemic slowly killing us from hunger Undecided. Cutting large portion of manpower, job freeze hiring and business enclosures are the main dilemma we are facing right now despite what country you reside. Thus I feel sorry for your loss bro. However we should continue moving because we don't have any choice either. Good for us to have a sig campaign. At least we still have a source of income, isn't it?

Let us pray for the best, the vaccine is on its way. So endure a couple of months more.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and rejected on: August 25, 2020, 01:24:37 AM
Good thing I belong on the second category (based on OP) Smiley. Here in our country, our government not yet passed a law regarding crypto regulations so we are free to make the most of it TAX FREE. But if you think that everything is doing well here, no it's not. Due to freedom of using crypto, it seems that scammers are more encouraged to do their dirty jobs. Many of my fellow countrymen, especially those who are not well educated with it, got deceived even by a simple ponzi scheme until now.

Though SEC warns the public against fraudulent acts, I think it is not enough action. Yeah! Experienced investors like us enjoy the benefits of crypto but the sad fact is that uneducated ones are suffering in return. There is no balance thus I am willing to have a regulation if ever someone passed it. I know that it will be for the greater good.
333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for a book on: August 24, 2020, 10:10:23 AM
I've been around here for a few years. My main interest was learning TA. I am a dummy I had a "friend" who told me about BTC in 2011
I knew it. But what I'm not expecting is that you're an early adopter Shocked! I'm just wondering why you didn't used your main account and create a new one instead on making this thread? Well, I guess it's none of my business.

Anyway I know this would be out of the topic but since you already mentioned TA (means technical analysis, right?), may I know what is the best technical indicator for you? If you don't mind to share. I'm planning to become a trader soon and I want to hear insights from experienced people Smiley.

Ps: dude better to edit the consecutive posts you made, merge it into one.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you lost money on Bitcoin you either bought in the red or you didn't hodl on: August 24, 2020, 07:06:14 AM
And I kinda agree on that younger generations like our daughter, grandchilds will be the next generations that will highly consider bitcoin as a good investment in the future.
Sure they are! But the question is, how large would be the portion of the upcoming youngsters would be interested in investing? No one knows for now but I hope the number will be considered significant by that time despite of knowing the fact that teenagers/young adults are getting more addicted to leisure activities (particularly playing video games) as time goes by. That's why I really feel pity for those "Easy go lucky" kind of person. So immature Undecided. They are just focusing on the enjoyment of life — they don't know how adulting s*cks.

I don't get it why would you lose when you bought in red or the bitcoin is a bear trend
Yeah, I think OP got a misconception. I guess it supposed to be sell and not buy.
335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to add icons to the title of a post? 🚀 on: August 24, 2020, 04:53:42 AM
Im curious why even forum supported emojis and lots of iconic figures.
To improve our way of expressing ideas of course. Imagine throwing a sarcastic comment here in plain text, others might get offended isn't it? But with the power of grin/tongue emoji, your comment would look more funny thus others can easily ride with it Smiley. (Now read my post without a single smiley. It sounds like a preacher, right? I hope you get it.)

I think the emoji and icon itself is not the main problem, an abusive user is. So whether we only had one or hundreds of emojis available, it doesn't matter. The decency and neatness of one's post still depends on how he will use it.
336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for a book on: August 24, 2020, 01:57:45 AM
I hope all the newbies that are joining this forum has a mentality like yours
We're not sure whether he is new in this forum for real or not. My intuition says that he is a dummy but well maybe I'm just overthinking so I'll give the benefit of the doubt. Besides, he come with no harm so nevermind Grin.

Anyway, going back to the topic, OP if you are having a hard time downloading those books then you can try to visit Crypto Detail. You can find a cool summary of stuffs there. I hope this might help.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEW transaction stuck for two days on: August 23, 2020, 07:07:01 AM
I don't understand why people hesitate so much to increase the transaction fees and make the transaction.
In most cases, it hurts them a lot. They can't handle the burden of huge fees. You know, it really feels bad to see that the fee comes closer and closer to the amount of money you are sending as the network gets busier. Well we can't blame them either however they should understand how these things work. What would you expect to get from paying smaller gas Roll Eyes? You should bare the consequences of course or else don't do it.
338  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic outlook and your life for 2021 poll on: August 23, 2020, 04:43:16 AM
Thinking negative for a while is okat, that's nornal tho. But staying on it up to extent that you no longer make actions to get away of the misery is wrong already. So even how worst the situation is, learn to keep positive as it brings hope and attracts good vibes to you Smiley.

Curious, as Bitcoiners, how did the COVID-19 pandemic affect your financial situation, and what is your outlook for 2021?
My bitcoin savings became my main financial source since I don't yet have a job until now. Imagine this, without bitcoin I can say that I even wasn't able to post here. That's how poor I am without it Grin. That's why I'm very blessed to have it.

When it comes to my outlook for 2021, I hope every single nation will completely beat the corona virus by that time. That's it! No personal wishes, price skyrockets or whatsoever. Going back to normal is all I want.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you remember what $ETH caused from 2016 -2017? on: August 22, 2020, 09:53:17 AM
I don't have any idea why the fees always increase every time when the price always goesup  same thing with bitcoin . But with bear market we can use small fees for every transaction ,is the miners controlled the price of fees/gas  or any other reasons why its always increase every time that its also increase its price.
That is it! Crypto's price is directly proportional on its transaction fee. When there is huge increase of transactions happening on the network, it gets busier. That's why you need to pay higher fees to ensure that your own transaction is prioritized (in other words, you will be able to finish it as soon as possible). I'm sure you don't want to spend the rest of your day waiting for your miney to come inside your wallet, right Wink? Because that feeling is so annoying to be honest, you might think that your money go somewhere already or there's an error or whatsoever hahaha.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggestion for making a video on bitcoin on: August 22, 2020, 07:15:41 AM
Nice initiative. Hmm I suggest something for your very first video. Before proceding on the introduction or anything else please tell them "Bitcoin is not a scam!". I'm sure you can easily caught their attention. Your audience tend to get interested on your video since you are contradicting their wrong beliefs. They will get triggered thus look forward on your explanation on how you able to say that bitcoin is not a scam and then sooner or later they will realize that you're right. Voila! More followers to come (I just hope they are not close minded). To become more effective, why don't try to put the sentence itself on the thumbnail of your video.

God bless you bro, I hope you won't fail unlike what happened to me Smiley.
