321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 04, 2023, 05:25:47 PM
You as a gambler..
1. What do you make of this?, is sex truly a sport and is it supposed to be carried out openly?
2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?

Lets have some serious and healthy discussion here..

Only Sweden declared it as a sport therefore they might just have a pure interest in betting on that.

Regardless if I'm a gambler or not, my answer is just plain and simple.

1. The question doesn't make sense. Even how technical those reasons are, to consider that as a sport, it's not a sport.
2. Definitely no. I don't find that interesting to bet in the first place. Even just for fun, I won't consider betting on that event.

I also highly doubt that bookies will even consider listing it. Maybe just on local bookies based in Sweden.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 04, 2023, 04:51:32 PM
Read the article, and you will agree on what the author has said. Sorry for derailing as well, but this problem has been there for years, and no one can stop it. Maybe if we will change the Commissioner to a better one then it might solve the problem.

Oh my, I got surprised and a bit shock by that unexpected plan by Converge.

Even though I want to badly expect that Converge shouldn't think of selling the franchise, their reasons are "valid" enough to consider it even if I'm on their feet. Financially wise, I see that Converge is capable of spending big money to keep up with the competition in the league. It's just that, how can they even use that big money to market big players if they are always bound to end up in either SMC or MVP teams because even the Commissioner itself is approving a crappy trade in favor of the giant franchises.

Independent teams' only chance to get good-caliber players without marketing a big fish is if that will come directly from their respective rookie draft picks and eventually will be turned into a rising star. But since these players are targeted by big franchises, and players themselves want too a good paycheck that only big franchises can give, eventually they will leave that independent team. Players' loyalty is subjective today as they also care about their financial goals.

Converge is the only independent team right now that I saw seriously competing with the big teams. They got a big improvement already within just a few seasons. But they are also right that "Who wants to watch a "competition" where the outcome is so predictable?

Let's follow the progress of that story.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 03, 2023, 07:30:19 PM
I admire the courage OP has. I would say he is a true gambler, not afraid to take risks and understands that losing is part of the game. You've gone too far, but your last attempt failed. Well, as you mentioned, it's back to the drawing board again. I'm sure you'll grow that money again, given that you have the skills of a true gambler. Keep grinding, mate.

Nope, disagree there. It might be called a true gambler if they are really not afraid of taking any risks but not to the point that they will just do some random risky actions without even a consideration. Responsible betting is what they are following that's why their respective bankroll can keep up with the long-run. In this case by OP, just because he made a good run in the week, he thinks going all-in is a good idea.

A true gambler recognized the risks. Too much greedy is what have shown by OP.

If only he stick to his strategy that able him to turned his $4,000 to $90,000, he might be still in the game right now and already earned 6 digits figures in 2 weeks. He has an impressive strategy honestly but his desire to win more wrecked his focus and want to go shortcut instead.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 03, 2023, 05:02:08 PM
But it's still worth taking a shot at betting on the knockout outcome of this fight. Both fighters have a high knockout rate, as indicated by boxrec.

Crawford has 30 knockout wins in 39 fights, which is approximately a 77% knockout rate.
Spence has 22 knockout wins in 28 fights, which is approximately a 79% knockout rate.

But those who fall victims at that Knock Out wins by both Terence Crawford and Errol Spence are not even within their circle.

Therefore, I can disregard that knockout rate as a part of the analysis. That percentage has nothing to do now because the fight is now between the current top boxers at the Welterweight right now and not anyone else above them. If they are about to face instead a mandatory title defense against a contender, we can however include that knockout rate in our analysis.

If this fight will end in a KO win, we don't know who will able to do that. It's like who can execute properly the right timing for that knock out punch to send either one of them on the canvass. But honestly, not expecting to see them being KO.

I will bet this fight winning in a "controversial decision". lol
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 03, 2023, 04:30:14 PM
We are in the 21st century, until when before people realize that suicide does not put an end to problem, but rather create more for those living??

Please don't talk like that. Depression is not a joke. You can't just tell these people that "hey don't go suicide". That's not how it works.

These people who are under depression are already in the verge of not considering things being advised by others that might saved them. That's why there's a proper way to deal with these depressed people as every word is critical and sensitive. In worst case, those advise might even triggered them to do worst things more as they don't have now the ability to understand what's right or wrong.

I know it's up to us to stand strong but not all has the capability to do that while under pressure.

Back to the story, we don't know the whole story why it triggered the suicide. I'm sure it's not just because of losing school fees.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 03, 2023, 04:09:58 PM
Many have already seen how the Denver Nuggets are playing and Jamal Murray is a quality in the Nuggets both Jokic and Murray can surely go down as the champions if they continue playing like this, and If you look closer on the play pattern of the Denver Nuggets Jamal Murray and the other 3 is constantly moving around the paint for Jokic's to give a good assist, or if he got his defender slacking he could also rally inside the paint for a big scoring points,

Take note also that Jokic and Murray has a good role backup players making the Nuggets more deadly to deal with e.g Michal Porter Jr and Aaron Gordon. Porter, is now being recognized as a big key on Nuggets defense in the entire playoffs. Gordon, on the other hand improves his efficiency in terms of offense and defense within the paint. Porter and Gordon did show a great performance on their Game 1 match against the Miami Heat.

Another hard to deal with the Nuggets is, did you guys even see Nikola Jokic having a bad night starting from the start of the playoffs? Percentage of either of his stats is always close to his average or even more. An all-around center that even teams will put pressure on him defense, can still found a way to make that as an advantage.

Jamal Murray do established lots of off-night games already these playoffs but what surprising is, he can always bounce back at the last phase of the game and will even become the hero of the game. That's the version of Murray that Heat needs to watch out.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 03, 2023, 03:51:46 PM
The people's Champions Barangay Ginebra will take their first game in this conference and they will face thier sister team which is San Miguel beermen have already a 1-1 standing this season. And for this game we have a doubt of this because if we are looking for barangay ginebra thier stars player have a practice for the upcoming event of Gilas Pilipinas but I. Think barangay Ginebra will use thier key players to impress the crowd.

The new season isn't started, yet no single conference has also commence as of now. The PBA adjust their schedule to give way for the Gilas players to fully prepare on the upcoming FIBA World Cup and Asian Games. The current PBA games are called "On Tour" or simply pre-season or tune-up games.

In most cases, you can't expect teams to go all-out at that kind of games, and key players are not utilized. The pre-game note between Brgy. Ginebra and San Miguel Beermen stated that both teams will play without their full strength lineup.

(OUT)

Ginebra - Scottie Thompson, Jamie Malonzo, Japeth Aguilar and even their head coach, Tim Cone
San Miguel - June Mar Fajardo, CJ Perez, Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter and Vic Manuel

Mark Magsayo eyes September or October return in new division

Former WBC Featherweight Champion Mark Magsayo might return to the ring in September or October, and guess what, not in the 126 lbs division anymore as he seems struggling at that weight and loses twice here, against Rey Vargas and Brandon Figueroa. He will now move up to the 130 lbs division - Super Featherweight/Junior Lightweight.

The plan to move up was confirmed by MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons and Magsayo himself already tweet his desire regarding that.

Can Magsayo find his comfort zone now in the 130 lbs? The current champions here:

WBO: Emanuel Navarrete
IBF: Joe Cordina
WBA: Hector Luis Garcia
WBC: O'Shaquie Foster
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 02, 2023, 11:31:39 PM
That statement from Stephen Fulton is because the fight against Inoue doesn't happen yet. If he wins this match, the winds might change and probably delay his moved-up quest as he already knows he can defeat the monster from Japan, therefore he might consider accepting a rematch if Inoue's camp will request it.

"Legacy + More Money" in the table, that's what waiting for Fulton if he accepts the rematch.

Defeating Inoue twice will give him a big recognition than pursuing Figueroa in 126 which he already defeated in the 122.

Anyways, let's not talk about the rematch for now. Smiley

I definitely agree with you on that. However, the outcome of the fight will depend on the manner of winning. If Fulton gets lucky and wins in a close fight but realizes that he can't truly defeat Inoue in reality, then I suppose he will accept that win and move on. In order to see a rematch, Fulton needs to have a convincing win and be extremely confident that he can defeat the monster twice.

You have a point though. Generally, you are saying that if ever Stephen Fulton wins the match, the chance of him being in a disastrous condition is possible and that might change his mind to accept the rematch deal as maybe, he will think that he can't keep up with Naoya Inoue on the rematch.

That will now depend on Fulton being a man and his willingness to accept the risks of suffering hard blows once again facing Inoue in a rematch. He might receive backlash for not accepting a rematch although he can easily ignore it by saying he already defeated Inoue and no need for a rematch.

But that won't change the fact that if Fulton wants to create another legacy and more money for himself on the table if let's say he wins this match, a rematch is a good option to consider instead of moving up to 126. Beating Inoue two times in a row is something that we can't imagine and if Fulton is able to do that, that's a big achievement.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 02, 2023, 11:04:57 PM
And while that's true, there are still plenty of people that don't know about that fact with these free VPNs.

Actually, the technical and sensitive issue here is the risks of doing online gambling in a country where it's illegal.

As OP said, he intends to use VPN, maybe not for hiding the region from the gambling site (for let's say the site allowed it) but to continue his gambling activity in a country where online gambling is illegal. Gamblers should respect the country's law about gambling and regardless if the gambling site is allowing the use of VPN, we should just obey anything in a country where we are only a visitor.

I can't even believe that some users primarily still think of the possibility of their account being frozen rather than facing the wrath of the law and being penalized in a country where online gambling is illegal. If we are to travel to those countries, we should set aside our gambling interests for the meantime.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 02, 2023, 10:40:04 PM
UPDATE: A MISSED PENALTY AND A LOSS. BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD.

As a gambling enthusiast for a long, especially being a sports bettor, I understand being in the feeling of a continuous winning streak and also being able to turn my capital into something decent. Since the luck is there, while maintaining a good analysis on my bets, I do feel that why should I stop betting if the momentum is there. Not being greedy here, just to clarify, but there's something in my mind that I'm sure I can make it.

But hey, if let's say I have the $90,000 bankroll that was a product of my effort from the capital $4,000, even for let's say I'm greedy to win more, never in my vocabulary to risk it in a one-time big-time all-in bet even I truly trust my analysis at 999%. Not just because sports betting is unpredictable but if we talk about the $90,000 amount, it can be utilized more in another way, and not by betting all-in.

However, if OP nailed that bet, that is obviously a different story. The lesson from that action should be treated as a reference by OP from now on.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 01, 2023, 11:58:46 PM
I see this as a 5 game max series.  I just don't see miami scoring with Denver unless theor 3 point shooting is off the charts.  Jokic can't be stopped and Murray is just too good to be slowed down as well.  If miami wants a chance they will have to figure out how to defend their pick and roll game.

Therefore, Miami Heat should really be focused on their offense more while obviously, still trying to slow down the Nuggets offensive phase. If Denver Nuggets are unstoppable on their offense, where even teams they faced in the playoffs put some hard defense on them, then keep up with them thru the offensive phase too.

Putting too much attention on their disadvantage might just destroy their overall strategy. Instead, focused on where they are good too, the offense. We have shown Miami Heat games where they are putting a good percentage on their offense and that's where they should improve, as much as possible.

Anyways, let's wait for the Game 1 result, and from there we can see what the possible adjustments are projected to happen to later games.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 01, 2023, 11:41:34 PM
There is no rematch clause in this fight as per Fulton already. He admitted that this is just one fight and then see how it goes. He really wanted to go up in weight already and fight Brandon at 126 lbs it's that maybe his camp stop him from moving up because there is one fight that they need to settle and that is the Inoue fight.

That statement from Stephen Fulton is because the fight against Inoue doesn't happen yet. If he wins this match, the winds might change and probably delay his moved-up quest as he already knows he can defeat the monster from Japan, therefore he might consider accepting a rematch if Inoue's camp will request it.

334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 11:22:05 PM
Now, the question is.... Will you still use a VPN, if it is not allowed by the ToS on the site. What will you do if they "block" your account and take your balance?

It's clear as the sky, "not allowed" by the Terms of Service of the site, then why to insist on keeps on doing it?

What if they block an account and take our balance? Again, it's clear as the sky, we are the ones who should be blamed for breaking that simple Term. How come can we even defend our side if we really did that mistake on our part?

Aside from that, it's an intentional action by us. It's not an accident. There's no way we can save our ass from them if we break the ToS.
335  Economy / Gambling / Re: THNDR Play Games to Earn Bitcoin on: May 31, 2023, 11:46:46 PM

Not bad if the user really wants to play the game regardless if it's paying or not.

Users should treat those games as e.g. killing the boredom, past time, or just the usual approach to those familiar and standard games we have known for a long. Definitely, not good for those users who really want to seriously treat these games as earning method schemes and compared them to those crypto-games in the play-to-earn industry.

Aside from that, I see these games as an upgraded form of micro earnings ways to earn Bitcoin. Aside from that, I see that those games do have cool graphics like the standard games we are seeing today and the best part is, users can earn Bitcoin. Although don't expect much.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 31, 2023, 10:53:21 PM
You can also use a VPN, which will is not a method to fight against ads but rather you will not be psychologically profiled and targeted. You will probably only see random ads with a VPN. As long as you are careful with your data.

That can be considered as well. Most VPNs today have built-in ad-blocking software which is primarily designed to get rid of any advertisements for the benefit of their users. But since Youtube are surely and technically aware of that, not an assurance that some VPNs can likely bypass the advertisement shown while streaming on the Youtube platform.

I also don't think it's convenient anymore that I will reach the point where I will use a third-party tool just to block Youtube advertisements if, on the other hand, I really like the videos that I'm watching. It's also a form of support if users will not block the ads if they really a supporter of that Youtube channel.

For casual Youtube viewers that don't know some technical ways to get rid of Youtube advertisements, the platform is not for you if you are too sensitive about ad-free videos where in fact, you are streaming it there for free in the first place.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 31, 2023, 10:27:39 PM
But the Denver Nuggets did not have to face any problem like that.

It seems that you treat Denver Nuggets reaching the Finals as a simple cakewalk and never face any big problems.

Might be right for you if you didn't recognize the strength of the teams they face in the playoffs but generally, Nuggets look like they didn't go through a hard process because simply, they worked hard for it. They didn't face an easy opponent, especially the healthy Phoenix Suns with Kevin Durant on board and that team was considered the team to beat in the Western Conference prior to the playoffs.

There might be surprises because Miami Heat has been very unpredictable.

Somehow, I have to agree with you there. Miami Heat's journey to the NBA Finals this year is really remarkable starting from the play-in tournament, playoffs, and now finally, NBA Finals. The last time an 8th seeded-team reach the NBA Finals was way back in 1998-99, which was the New York Knicks.

Beating the No. 1 Seed Milwaukee Bucks in the First Round, the No. 5 Seed New York Knicks in the Conference Semi-Finals, and beating the No. 2 Seed Boston Celtics in the Conference Finals, the 8th seed Miami Heat is really unpredictable.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: May 31, 2023, 10:05:56 PM
As gambling addiction can be a challenging issue that can have a very harmful impact on an individual's life. it is always recommended to find a professional helpb rather struggling with it. Do you agree with those behaviours? If not then you can suggest some, that can be added to this topic.

Those signs you have mentioned can already be considered the worst effect of gambling.

Generally, those signs can't just be seen by a truly addicted gambler but even moderate gamblers can experience those signs as the goal is to chase the losses even how moderate they are when doing gamble. They will just repeat, repeat and repeat until reaching the highest tier of addiction.

I agree with you that rather than a gambler struggling to deal with their addiction, they should find right away professional help. But the question is, since they are addicted already, do really think or consider undergoing any professional help? I highly doubt it. Regarding that matter, these gamblers should be associated with their own family, relatives, or circle of friends.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: May 31, 2023, 09:43:21 PM
if you want steady income with gambling, online or offline, you have to be a owner, build your own casino and watch

Seems simple to do but hard in reality Smiley Care to think first of the factors?

Take note of the prerequisites before you can even establish a successful online casino. It won't end just by simply building a casino and waiting for the money to flow to your business providing there are lots of reputable and popular gambling platforms right now. The competition is tough.

an addicted gambler always have one goal in mind, '( I have to make back all I have lost ), this is where the beginning of the end begins.

In most cases, yes but it doesn't mean that if we say "addicted gambler", they are mostly sh*t. There are addicted gamblers who turned their addiction into something good and they are taking advantage of it. Since it's profitable to them, they continue on doing that while saving money on other things.

Although not all gamblers can turn into that as mostly fall into the trap of gambling wrath.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 30, 2023, 11:24:13 PM
As long Ginebra will reach the Finals, it will bring a lot of money to the league, so expect them to play against Bay Area in the season to come.

Actually, that's already given but let's try to think outside the box.

If the Bay Area Dragons will reach the Finals again, regardless of what local PBA team they are against, expect a crowd-stunning live audience. The reason? Simple, it's because the Finals is like Team Philippines versus a Foreign team so expect a home crowd support regardless of the odds.

Believe me, even for let's say the Blackwater Bossing led by Coach Jeffrey Cariaso with his All-Star cast, Jayvee Casio. Amer Baser and the rest of the gang will reach the Finals (don't laugh pls lol), if they are against the Bay Area Dragons, the Finals will be full of home crowd supporters.
