Yeah, I remember MVP that likes these sponsorships if it's with the Philippine Basketball especially if it his company's team that will represent the country on EASL.

Here we go again with the EASL thing. I hope they won't forget their performance the last time they played. I'm sure the sponsors are not happy about spending a lot of money to bring them to the venue country and witnessing them being dominated by the opposing teams. It cannot happen again, because if we still can't compete, it will expose how obsolete our brand of basketball is.
All Fans hoping that our team can compete another country with a good standing and scoring but For me they will face a struggle as we all know that their opponents are too strong and have the high advantages. While our representative is small but terrible they can dominate their opponent for sure even in a small gap cause I know that they can not make a huge gap once they will face a very strong team.
They'll be fine in the FIBA world cup because even if we lose, it will still be beneficial to us as we gain a 'learning experience,' a famous line from Gilas Coach, as we all know. Gilas is enjoyable to watch now, especially with Brownlee as the naturalized player. He plays with great intensity, and I can see that he has the Filipino spirit within him, never willing to give up.

Nothing to say about how Brownlee played with the heart but if there's some social post regarding to JC, there's a possibility that he will be the one that will play as Naturalized and not Brownlee not sure though as there's no update yet regarding to this, but along the line whoever will play between the two I'm sure they will bring everything to entertainment the Pinoy fans.

The famous line "Learning experienced" hehehe it's been a long process and maybe if that learning experience will be compared to an ordinary job or something, the time for learning for me is long enough maybe they are not learning hehehe.. Just my own cent!

I'm sure they don't and I guess they're trying to prove that it won't happen again. I guess they just lack the preparation and this is why they're bringing this up.

For sure that they are not when they've been sponsoring a team that's already out of the league too early. They want more exposure and I think that they'll think of the roster that they'll send there and it's not just going to consist of 1 team but it can be a combination of other players from other teams as well and that's more desirable.

I also like the plan of PBA to consider Bay Area Dragons to take part of the upcoming conference with imports. Not just specifically for the Dragons but any foreign team should do. If by any chance, it's even more entertaining if 2 foreign teams can possibly accommodate even that was a hard task to do.

I remembered June Mar Fajardo when SMB got eliminated by the Dragons in the Semi-Finals of the Commissioners Cup last season that he wants the league to repeat the invitational of guest teams.

The league though must be clear now to the rules and terms of import restriction for the foreign team as if we remembered, Coach Yeng Guiao got surprised when they faced the Bay Area Dragons with a new import, Nicholson, as supposedly the team will play with no import as Powell got sidelined because of injury that time.

Chot Reyes's now famous quote "learning experience" is only effective against South East Asia Country. There is no doubt that we are the most dominant country in basketball in the whole South East Asia. But if we talked about a much higher stage, which is competing against the whole ASIA countries and GLOBAL countries, that learning experience is just a never-ending cycle.

We can't be carried by 1 naturalized player, even let's say NBA caliber, on the higher stage. Here in the Asia region alone, the country is even struggling to compete against, for example, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, etc. which almost have the same height as most of our local players. How much worst against China, Lebanon, Iraq, etc?

If only the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) did their job of securing those potential young prospects with half-Pinoy blood that are based in other countries as a future players for the Philippine team, we can have several big names in the team aside from the naturalized player. Jordan Clarkson is a half-Pinoy but SBP failed to seriously focus on him at an early age even though he's popular already in the big leagues in the US. In the end, JC didn't secure a PH passport before turning 18, and it's not possible for him to play at our local team as a local player instead of a naturalized player. We should be seeing Justin Brownlee + Jordan Clarkson tandem if things just went right.

I think that it's already a done deal that Bay Area Dragons will be back in the PBA for this Commissioner's Cup, have read in my social media feed that some PBA teams will have a game with the Dragons overseas so this is a welcome sight for those OFW's that love watching the PBA live.

I remembered June Mar Fajardo when SMB got eliminated by the Dragons in the Semi-Finals of the Commissioners Cup last season that he wants the league to repeat the invitational of guest teams.

I also remember that one. That's because when imports are playing, locals will be forced to elevate their games as to match their game so in the process the PBA players will also improved their skills and also the coaching strategy of the PBA will improve as they will adjust to the style of the guest teams.

I think this was already ironed out and no surprises about this issue come Commissioner's Cup.

It's great that they announced it early, allowing the team to prepare and strategize on how to be competitive against the BAD. When they first played in the PBA, they were incredibly dominant, overpowering even strong teams. However, it was Ginebra who managed to stop them and defeat them in a thrilling seven-game series. That series was widely regarded as one of the best PBA Finals in history. Now that they are back, I hope BAD will make it to the Finals again and have a rematch against Ginebra.

I'm not doubting that the Dragons can make it again to the finals, they've got complete solid selections a core players who can give you decent stats when needed, they just got surprised with how Gin kings played with the heart something that they don't expect as the brgy fans are really showing full support and with how all the players of Gin kings showcase all the capabilities to help the team.

A great experienced and for sure they are all knowledgeable now on how to adjust to every situation when you are competing against 7-8 man inside the court, hahaha.. Kidding!

I know what you mean, hehe. Well, in the PBA Finals, we've seen that it may not have been the crowd that helped Ginebra win, but rather the referees. It seemed like the game wasn't just about Team A vs. Team B; it felt more like a matchup between the Philippines and China, so I understand why a huge crowd was there to support Ginebra.

As long Ginebra will reach the Finals, it will bring a lot of money to the league, so expect them to play against Bay Area in the season to come.

That's a given; that's why they are sometimes criticized. Some people believe that the league favors them to be in the Finals because they are the most popular team in the PBA. Additionally, the word 'luto' (rigged) appears every time the team wins. This is not a new phenomenon, as Ginebra has a large fan base but also faces a lot of criticism and has many haters.

And we all know that! Nothing to argue about any favor as knowing how this business works, PBA wanted them to be on the finals not just because they are love by the fans but compared to all the available rosters Ginebra is the team that can matchup the solid squad of the Dragons, though that rigged thing can't be denied but for most of the fans and those who understand the game Ginebra's lineup still the one that can really compete with the Dragon's solid lineup.

As long Ginebra will reach the Finals, it will bring a lot of money to the league, so expect them to play against Bay Area in the season to come.

Actually, that's already given but let's try to think outside the box.

If the Bay Area Dragons will reach the Finals again, regardless of what local PBA team they are against, expect a crowd-stunning live audience. The reason? Simple, it's because the Finals is like Team Philippines versus a Foreign team so expect a home crowd support regardless of the odds.

Believe me, even for let's say the Blackwater Bossing led by Coach Jeffrey Cariaso with his All-Star cast, Jayvee Casio. Amer Baser and the rest of the gang will reach the Finals (don't laugh pls lol), if they are against the Bay Area Dragons, the Finals will be full of home crowd supporters.

That could possibly happen, and people will still show their support. However, I don't believe the arena will have as many spectators as when Ginebra is playing against a foreign team. When Ginebra reaches the Finals, at least people will believe they have a chance to win the championship again. In contrast, the Blackwater Bossing will be treated like the Miami Heat playing against the Denver Nuggets, where people perceive the chance of winning as very slim.

Or maybe a good script can be process if ever that Blackwater will manage to reach the finals and face the visiting team, not saying that it's impossible but we never know what PBA is cooking for us, if they can see that money may flow if they can do things like this then why not? How team can win if the opponent got 7-8 players inside the court?

Though, for me it's still Ginebra can bring a huge amount of profits if they will represent team PH battling against the visiting forces of the Chinese squad.

You are definitely wrong there. There is no way that PBA will do an intentional cooking show against the Bay Area Dragons and push the goal-crap game-fixing scheme. Even PBA will intentionally do that, which I highly doubted that they will really do for real, there's a risk since Dragons will surely call for a wide investigation into that and that will affect the reputation of the PBA, not just here in the country, but globally.

Let's stop that conspiracy with a low chance of happening.

PBA is establishing a good partnership with neighboring countries that's why EASL is formed in the first place. That's total nonsense speculation that PBA will cook a game in favor of any PBA team that might face the Dragons in the Finals. PBA is serious in building their reputation and they even fine a violation for those Dragons players who did some irresponsible act last conference.

Though, we can only conclude that once the league/season opened and all the teams were already playing at their best.

They have plenty of time to prepare, and now they have preseason games to stay active. So, I'm confident that once the season officially opens, it will signify that all teams are ready to play with one goal: to win the championship. BAD will undoubtedly be better compared to the last time they were here, and we can still expect to see their dominant 3-point shooting as it remains their main weapon to overpower their opponents.

yes we can not deny the fact if Ginebra will enter to the finals then a lot of supporters will come and watch live game in the venue and also about Facing the Bay Area Daragon then all we can say is that Ginebra will have a good lineup to compete the foreign team and also as of now they have justine brownlee as a naturalize player that give them a good and solid lineup. I think this upcoming season they have a high percentage winning.

If you believe that there's a cooking show, they'll not choose a team that will reach the Finals that are not even popular with the fans, it will be too obvious that there's a cooking happening. And you know what? Who would watch the Blackwater in the Finals? I mean, can the league make a lot of money on that match-up? I'm sure they'll have a deficit on the outcome of the game.

So it's a big no, they'll probably bring a team that is popular like SMB, TNT, Ginebra, and maybe Converge or ROS.

Though, for me it's still Ginebra can bring a huge amount of profits if they will represent team PH battling against the visiting forces of the Chinese squad.

We are one on that, no team that could attract a lot of fans but the Gin Kings only.

I have noticed that the PBA on-tour is not making noise even on social media basketball groups.

Even SMC teams like Magnolia and MVP teams like TNT weren't able to attract live audiences. In the first place, what can we expect in tune-up games?

Although if we recap some of the games here, there are lots of games there that ended up in thrilling matches

Tomorrow, Sunday, June 4 at 7:30 PM, might change the impression of the basketball fans to the ongoing tune-up games by the PBA as we have a big match here between the crowd favorite Brgy. Ginebra and San Miguel Beermen. I'm not sure if both teams will deploy their key players, especially those part of the Gilas roster that is currently in an active regular practice session for the events in the 4Q of the year.

I have not been following the games either. It's not as enjoyable when we cannot bet on the live games. Perhaps they will ask the bookies to consider offering betting odds for this game, which would likely create excitement among the fans. Honestly, I believe that watching sports is not as fun without being able to bet on them.

It's only the teams playing not the players hehe, I mean they are just warming up for the opening of the conference and those players that got most of the playing minutes are bench warmers or backups during the regular games so that might be one reason behind the lack of buzz of this ongoing PBA on-tour.

On the other hand, if you are a bettor there's a chance that you can take advantage of the odds given by the bookies, for example of this was the game between SMB and Phoenix (correct me if I'm wrong) where the odds are SMB @1.4x and Phoenix @3.xx but the latter won because on the SMB side, no superstars of the team were fielded.
