3221  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the hour : Use the Crisis on: November 13, 2020, 01:45:23 PM
During this difficult times we have to think of other ways to earn income since a lot of people don't have a job because of this pandemic. The trend lately in our country is doing food business online, selling food online which is easier to attract customers. Also what I did to earned is selling baked goods which are also in demand because some people don't want to go to any store to buy foods to avoid this virus.
Whenever I log on to Twitter I do see people in my locality that are selling baked goods as well, and some are selling shortcakes and other things like that, and chicken and the rest of them. When you make an order they put in their package and deliver it to you.

It’s a good business, although I still think that the business is a tough one to do today because the competition is high and it will be worse for you if you’re someone that is still new to social media or you don’t have much followers. It’s always better for people who have a good number of followers that are active.
3222  Other / Meta / Re: Is this place ever going to get a mobile view option? on: November 13, 2020, 09:42:45 AM
C'mon bitcointalk! It's almost 2021! You must be the only website in this day and age without mobile view. And considering your popularity...! What are you waiting for Let's do this!
Yup, Cheesy I have also had this same thoughts, why haven’t the developers and the moderators that are in charge of this forum thought of it, why can’t they just create a mobile platform for the forum? I make use of this forum mostly on my mobile phone. My computer is mainly at home and even when I get home I hardly go to my computer except when I have work to do with it.

Once I get home I make use of my mobile phone to view this forum because it’s more convenient for me, but every time I open the forum I have to be zooming in and out and it’s quite annoying at times. They should do something better than this. I have tried using the .wap link and it’s just like white paper with text on it.
3223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received a call/text recently from a friend/fam asking about Bitcoin? on: November 13, 2020, 08:56:47 AM
One of my friends did ask me about cryptocurrency, though she was asking that question when she noticed me open a bitcoin wallet in my phone, and she asked whether it’s Bitcoin and I said yes, then she proceeded to ask me other questions about Bitcoin, although the questions kept landing on about the price and when it will go up and whether she will get profit and all that, which is a normal question I get from people.

Their main focus is on whether they are going to make money, and some of them who have heard stories of the 2017 bull run will be asking whether that will repeat if they invest. I just ask them whether they have the level of patience as the early investors if they should invest, and the question is always a No.
3224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of bounty hunters on: November 13, 2020, 08:21:27 AM
I urge all the management and bounty managers to treat bounty hunters with respect and they shouldn't be judged.

The respect aspect can be achieved as far the hunters are willing to respect themselves to command respect to themselves. But when you say they shouldn't be judge that can't be made possible. Judgement is needed in their line of business as those judgements are what makes them better in promoting the project they have enrolled to promote. You don't expect a manager seeing things not be done right and don't expect immediate judgement on that users and possibly correct him.
I fully agree with the initial statement that bounty hunters need to respect themselves first. There should be some common understanding between bounty hunters such that they won't join any bounty campaign without certain promises.

1) The bounty campaign must hire a professional manager and hunters should abandon project that don't respect this point.
2) The tokens must be deposited to the manager and he will then send to the hunters.
3) Any participant who is cheating must be banned but the ones who are working hard should not be touched or harassed.

Bounty hunters have to unite and show the power together because as long as they only think about themselves the whole bounty hunters community will struggle.
3225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cloud storage isn't safe place for your wallet keys on: November 12, 2020, 05:21:25 PM
Well, it's not a problem to store on a cloud storage at all if you have more security like :
- Created an email for only purpose store your data, never share the email or used them for creating account.
- Change type of your file.
- Make another protection using Cryptography Tools.
- Then you can make another last step, make the .rar file have a password.

Even your email can be a breach, they cannot breach password rar or cryptography password.
I agree with all the steps above but don't you think it is easier to just save it offline instead of applying so many filters and formulas that some day you might yourself forget about them.

Cold storage are meant to be for long time and you cannot remember the email you used, the encryption you used fr years and it would be locking yourself out of your own coins.

There is another better way which some people use basically they have a separate computer where they don't use anything and only use it to download a bitcoin wallet like electrum and you are safe since you don't do online surfing and all with that so you can't get hacked.
3226  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: November 12, 2020, 04:49:02 PM
This is my second day of trying a big multiplier (100,000x) with minimum bet (100 sats) at Boom (ten rolls yesterday, five rolls today). As expected, it's a loss . I'm probably going to do this for 30 days straight out of fun and wish that lady luck comes Grin
Bad luck but to be honest to hit 100k multiplier you might have to make 100k bets and although Boom is the best game to hunt big multipliers but really I struggle to find 1k multiplier at times so don't be too hopeful and it might take months to achieve that if you are only doing 10 or 5 rolls daily.

Since the launch of sports I have minimized my betting dice and casinos as a whole and now I love betting on sports all day.

I would request Bitsler to please consider adding the bets cashout so that we can cash our bets as almost all the sportsbook provide that feature so I hope with time Bitsler will add that too because it helps a lot.
3227  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 12, 2020, 03:47:28 PM
Roobet is just feeding people gambling problems.
Yes i have gambling problems and they allowed me to have more than 30 accounts with them over last months.
When i lose i close the account and ask them to exlude me from their site including ip address.
But they allowed me to make more than 30 accounts.
When i contacted them they just close my account and thats all.
I have most session recorded and im currently thinking about law suit them, becuase i manage to self exlude them from all online casinos, but only roobet is not allowing me.

you claim you made 30 accounts on them and they only exclude you if you tell them so? i think it's not their problem anymore it is your problem if you really don't want to play gambling to roobet you can just exclude that website to your own browser don't blame them for your gambling addiction, try to visit some psychological therapist not ask them to block your ip and your account since it wouldn't work.
Gambling addiction is a serious problem and it should not be the responsibility of a casino, it should be the responsibility of the gamblers and they should be looking into getting some help otherwise if you just get even IP banned and never play here, that means you can go find someplace else.

From the post you can see that he says whenever he asked another place to ban him, they were quick to ban him and his IP so he could never play at the same place and he was complaining about how roobet was not doing the same thing, however from that if you read between the lines you can realize that when he got banned from those places, he moved on and found another place and in this example it is roobet, which means if roobet banned him completely he would have just moved to another place. You should seek professional help and not just get banned.
3228  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic did push the world towards a more digital age. on: November 11, 2020, 08:56:12 PM
When a pandemic occurs, there are many social obstacles that we must apply, one of which is working from home and encouraging digital transformation that must be carried out so that we can continue to work and carry out other much needed jobs or assignments and studies.
But why should it be like that and push the world into a more digital era, we must feel the suffering caused by Covid-19 and many things that have been harmed.
I hope this pandemic ends quickly because it is very sad for those who do not have or are not supported with the necessary technological tools.
Yeah, the rural people have suffered a lot because they don't have the necessary education nor the technology to do online payments and they don't even have enough education to work online so they indeed had a poor time.

I think while it cannot be denied that we moved to a more digital generation but that doesn't mean it happened for a good cause because we are forced to use these things instead of wanting to use them so while more technology and digital transactions are good as they remove manual work but unless the education is there these digital transactions aren't going to work everywhere, like people in rural areas are not going to learn the technology within months.
3229  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Holding in Companies on: November 11, 2020, 08:12:54 PM
I imagine if there are many Bitcoin holding companies I think it is very dangerous, because price manipulation might happen easily,
to be honest I think this, I prefer if Bitcoin is held in the staking feature,
if Bitcoin has a feature like this it will be even more very nice.
You have a valid point but the market in crypto is so big that one needs colossal amount of capital to do that and it sounds implausible for that to ever happen. Yeah maybe 10 big companies can collaborate together and shale the market but they still cannot cause much distress to the market. Someone might have tried this in March but see how the price recovers so fast.

I'd prefer to have reserved in the stablecoins. In any moment it can be changed to bitcoin and back. More save way to earn money than just keep it in BTC. In USDT or EURG
It is the perception you have but the truth is that the price has only increased overall and volatility doesn't only mean that you can lose but it also means that you can double your money within a night and actually there are less people in Bitcoin market who invested and regretted as compared to people who divested and regretted so it tells you the story that having big reserves is actually more profitable.
3230  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best cryptocurrency exchange for beginners on: November 11, 2020, 08:01:41 AM
You know very well that this whole write-up you have here does not in any way talk about which exchanges are best for newbie investors right? You just attached and expecting everyone to visit the website, you should have just done that since and spare me of this huge write-up you have done here.

Funny thing is that I also visited the website and you didn’t even list any exchange. How do you write a whole article about exchange that’s best for newbies and you didn’t care to recommend a few, at least five or so, exchanges that you know are very good for starters? Anyway, I will always recommend Coinbase and Binance. These two are really good and they have mobile apps too.
3231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will atomic swaps beat centralized exchanges? on: November 10, 2020, 08:45:49 PM
Centralized exchanges will not be "beaten" by anything, not defi, not atomic, not anything else because CEX are there to stay and they have their customers and they make their profits. Could other things grow bigger while CEX stays around the same growth? That could potentially happen but this will not happen because CEX will get worse, or because CEX will lose a lot of customers and volume, they will always be there growing at a steady rate becoming bigger and bigger, only potential here is that another thing could grow even faster to get at the first place without hurting anything with CEX.

If this means "beat" to you, you could consider it happening right now, biggest exchange in USA is coinbase and uniswap once took over in volume already in September.
3232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the Best Time to sell ? on: November 10, 2020, 04:56:50 PM
The market is volatile and always there is a risks when we do trade of our coins we hold. So a trader should always have a trading plan and always use the capital that they can afford to lose. That’s true don't  fall into fomo it should be controlled when price is high do not buy, as what others saying buy low and sell high. It is important to analyze the market before making into final decision of when to sell our asset.
For OP I believe the right time is anytime when he feels he needs the money because the best time for someone to sell bitcoins is NEVER because the price is always going to rise up with more and more demand increasing in coming years. But that said not everyone has the financial stability to keep that much Bitcoins on hold for such long time periods so I mean they can sell when they feel but the best time if you ask me is "never" which is why there are big reserves if Bitcoins still unmoved because everyone knows the concept of Bitcoins is made in such a way that the value is always only going to increase.

I personally locked some small amount of Bitcoins and I promised myself to not touch them for the next at least 3 years and then see how it goes because really these 2-5k pumps are nothing to what might future has in store for us, even 100k might be realistic and right now I may sound idiotic but time will tell.
3233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Biden's winning effect on the crypto market. on: November 10, 2020, 04:14:58 PM
Still not convinced that the election has something to do with the sudden price increase in the market price of Bitcoin, not also sure of the actual reason but it is just something to celebrate and I'm already good with that.
There were speculations that if Trump wins the stock market will see a growth and if Biden wins there will be a sink so that might be a reason behind this theory but I agree that there is no genuine reason apart from speculations.

The market price of cryptos in the first place is volatile so there is still a possibility for a market price dump no matter how we want the market to continue.
Yeah, even before the elections result the price was continuously moving so we don't know for sure if relating the price change with elections result is the right thing to do. I don't think the Biden winning election affected the BTC prices at all apart from the gamblers who made bets on the elections and had to wait so long for their bets to settle because of the confusion around the results.
3234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price to reach $17k? on: November 10, 2020, 11:57:07 AM
$ 19k can also be achieved, with the condition that Fomo continues,
now the volatility is very high, it is very visible pump and dump is happening in the market,
whether this is because Biden is winning or indeed the crypto market is being tested,
I really am curious about the future price of Bitcoin.
I seriously don't think we need to spread the FOMO in order to get better prices for bitcoins. The demand is enough in the market and day by day better news are coming like PayPal adopted bitcoins payments which was a great news and then there are some other good ones which always keep the market moving, thankfully this time around there are no negative news apart from a few guys worried that a big BTC reserve moved which didn't moved since 10 years but I guess that is not a big issue.

I am hopeful of even 20k by the end of the year but that is not because I expect people to buy chunks of bitcoins in FOMO but because I really think the demand is high and the supply is always limited because the block reward is getting small with each halving and that is the basic source of supply.
3235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin break its previous ATH record of 20K before end of 2020? on: November 10, 2020, 10:47:30 AM
Wasn't aware of the 3 year cycle you mentioned that it reaches the ATH every 3 years but I have a strong feeling that BTC will be easily crossing the ATH maybe if not by the end of this year since we are already so far into Q4 but surely in Q1 of 2021 we will see that happen. As a long term investor and a visionary investor I don't bother much about how much the price is increasing as long as it is increasing and is steady.

I remember how everyone scared me to sell all my coins when the massive drop happened earlier this year but I held on because I knew this is not the right time to sell and in even worst case scenario we can wait a couple years and get 15k easily and now see we are talking about ATH within the same year.
3236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter didn’t completely disable posting bitcoin addresses on: November 09, 2020, 08:42:23 PM
Wow, didn’t know that Twitter disabled posting of bitcoin addresses on their platform.
Imagine if they did that since before the doubler scam happened, it would have been able to reduce the extent at which the scam affected people. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad idea they disabled posting of addresses, it’s something they have to do to protect their platform users, it’s good.

Moreover I don’t see the need why anyone would be tweeting their address, you can just put it in your bio or your website and offer whatever services there.
3237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: November 09, 2020, 06:53:02 PM
Obviously there is an added extra risk involved with doing multi bets, nobody denies that and the math is clear about it as well. However we do also realize that we make more profit this way as well, which means we are making more profit if we win and that risk is worth it sometimes.

If I am betting on multi with just guaranteed teams for a small win, I rather not do that, it doesn't make sense to have 3 game multi with 2.6 return, that is not something worths the risk of having 3 games on my slip. However if I pick 3 games with over 7 that I could win, that suddenly becomes entertaining and yes it is riskier but it also worths it for me. So at the end of the day single vs multi comes down to what I am betting on, sometimes single makes more sense and sometimes multi makes more sense.
3238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when is the right time to buy cryptocurrency? on: November 09, 2020, 04:27:49 PM
Very high risk if you buy when the price is high like point number 4, usually this kind of project is just hype after a big pump, the price can drop dramatically. but not with real coins like BTC or ETH. they have a big influence on the market, always have significant price developments and also always have a large demand in the market.
Buying during the bull run is actually the worst idea because I agree that the bull run is going on and everyone believes that good times are coming but what in case the bull run stops or a correction happens? You would be temped to sell the tokens for a lower price just to avoid the tension and stress that the correction creates.

I agree with BTC you can actually hold for long time but with altcoins you have to be sharp and very active because a small mistake can lead to big losses and usually with altcoins once the market goes down it just becomes very hard to get up again unless the altcoin is a big one like XRP, TRX, ETH or others.
3239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 projects that will fly in 2020-2021 on: November 07, 2020, 08:16:44 PM
My big wildcard is Uni Token, it is the token for uniswap and I believe it is going to be super big in the future. I know that it reached as high as 8+ dollars and now dropped, maybe it will continue to drop for a while longer or it may recover, but I know that it has an untapped potential. If you can utilize uni token for the maximum amount it could generate and work for, it has this potential of becoming top 10 coin without a doubt and it could stay there for a long period.

Obviously this is just based on uniswap and if uniswap gets a big competition that could change things and maybe it will crash, but I do not think that will happen, I believe we are going to see uniswap stay competitive for a very long period and have 200+ million volume forever which will mean uni token will become huge in the future as well.
3240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Make Money Without Trading or Gambling on: November 07, 2020, 06:35:23 PM
Earning money is something else, but if you want to make money without trading or gambling, you should invest and that is the best return. There are now too many things, staking, nodes, masternodes, liquidity providing, dapps, lending, and many other methods as well that could yield you profit over long term. Obviously it is not going to be something simple to pick which one is realistic and which one is bad but you have to do that part in order to get profit.

There is ETH talks for example where you make just 40-70 dollar range from 32 eth, which is realistic and good but there are bad ones like the ones that give %400 a day! which is obviously fake. If you pick good investments, you could make money while you are sleeping and that is how rich people get richer.
