2681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and energy consumption on: June 07, 2021, 05:08:14 PM
Recently, this issue has become a hot topic of discussion, and has had a huge effect on the market. Even though from the first crypto mining and energy consumption were related, because a mining activity would definitely consume a lot of energy, but somehow since Elon started to raise it into a tweet, this seems to be a dangerous thing and an extraordinary thing, isn't it? we see this to be an attempt to manipulate the market? no need to listen too much to issues like this, it's better to focus on each other's work.
What's funny is that Elon was 100% aware of how it works but earlier he never brought up the point but now all the discussion revolves around this energy consumption.

For a moment I even agree that yes energy is wasted but we have POS coins coming up then are people ready to accept them or they have some other logic for not accepting it? I mean if someone wants to use crypto but doesn't because it wastes energy then go ahead and use POS coins and you should be good. I don't know why suddenly this has become a huge problem while the system exists for 10+ years.
2682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Different Coins Do You Own? Me = 11 on: June 07, 2021, 04:16:25 PM
I own 11 - I don't count the stablecoin USDC
I don't hold a lot of coins but I trade and have in past used many coins, I am sure more than 50 coins it not 100. Currently, I have like 8-10 coins and I buy/sell them daily so it's hard to name but there are some coins I have stored for their value in the future namely: DOT, ETH, BTC, TRX and ADA.

There is no fixed amount of coins either because when I face loss in my trading, I have to sell some of the coins and cover-up while at times when bull run is going on and I am on a roll, I buy even more coins and store them.

Another coin that is always there in my wallet is USDT but it is for the sole purpose of trading and never in my wild dreams I consider holding it because the value is going to remain the same.
2683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: June 06, 2021, 08:06:28 PM
I was actually quite surprised when Ruben Dias was chosen as the best Premier League player for the 2020/2021 season. Even though Dias had to compete with eight other names. Like Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, Bruno Fernandes and so on. Finally Dias won the vote, Dias was immediately able to adapt to other Manchester City players after being brought in from Benfica. Dias managed to keep Man City's defense well,
Dias also managed to match 3 other defenders who won the Premier League best player award. Like Nemanja Vidic, Vincent Kompany and Virgil Van Dijk who had previously felt as the best Premier League player too. I also hope the defenders can win the Balon D'or, we'll see if next season Dias can play well again like this season.
I would say Ruben Dias deserved it as much as anyone else, I was rooting for Bruno Fernandes, dude is such a smart player that allowed United to be at the second place, he was really way too good compared to others in his team, and even though players like greenwood, martial and rashford all provided something I felt like Fernandes was the reason they were that good. However it makes sense to give it to a player whose team won the league, that makes more sense. Which is why I think it is quite good that he won it.

Ilkay was very good for a while there as well, dude managed to be the best player on that team for few weeks in a row during their superb win streak, but he wasn't consistent and that made Ruben won, he wasn't the best every week, but he was always him every week, same thing without any drop in performance and that is a very important part of winning these awards.
2684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global adoption — A ridiculous term on: June 06, 2021, 06:11:11 PM
What I want to mean in this topic is that the problem doesn't come from the fact that the majority sees it as an investment. The issue becomes clear if you notice its hierarchical structure. I'll quote myself to prevent re-writing a childish example:
Yup, no doubts I do have the same thoughts as you, and I feel that it is not going to be completely adopted by everyone. We are still have going to have the conventional currencies, the USD, Euro, Pounds and the rest of them are going to be there as the base currency we use. Then we will also have bitcoin, which will be widely adopted for sure. There are going to be more stores in future that will be accepting bitcoin more than they have now. So that’s a plus, but it’s not going to be the only thing we will have. And there are even going to be lots of altcoins that will come out by then that will be really good enough.
2685  Economy / Economics / Re: Way's to improve growth economics on: June 05, 2021, 01:29:16 PM
Well, I didn’t read all the links you have pasted here, I just went to the Forbes link and clicked on it. The article talks six ways that we can improve our economy and they were accurate about it.

There are lots of things that needs to be done to help the economy of a country to grow, although the article was being specific about the USA, but some of the strategies that the author have mentioned can as well be applied by the government of other countries and they can use those methods to increase their economy’s growth and make their countries a better place. And also doing something about unemployment is very important, people shouldn’t be jobless.
2686  Economy / Economics / Re: I currently cannot own a Paypal, Bank Account, CashApp, etc on: June 04, 2021, 04:46:01 PM
I am underage, meaning I cannot own a PayPal, Bank Account, CashApp, etc. Do you guys know any alternatives. I want to know because, If i want to sell some coin, I give me dad the coin, and he gives me cash in hand. But lets say a coin spikes or crashes when hes at work, in that case I wont be able to cashout. Do you guys know any other payment ways to USD?
You don’t even have bank account? I don’t know which country you’re living in, but I’m my country banks do have kids account for people who are underage. It is managed by their parents, but they can still have access to it. So I wonder which country you’re living in which doesn’t allow you to have an account.

Assuming it was possible for you to have a bank account, I would have recommended that you be making use of peer to peer methods and sell to trusted buyers who will the send money to your bank account straight. For now you still have to rely on your parents since even PayPal and Cash app won’t allow you to have an account as you have said.
2687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is fearfull. Someone said this is time to be greedy on: June 04, 2021, 08:17:08 AM
Everything in the market is very uncertain and there is a chance that what you are thinking might now happen so the best thing to do is to have a solid plan into whatever situation might happen. If you have sold at the top and then bought when the market did its huge correction then congrats for you. They are saying that being greedy is bad but there are times that it is good  like this. On the other hand, just be ready if the trend doesn't go to your way. I mean when you enter and it goes down even further then you must be ready for it Smiley.
This is a risk for crypto market participant because price volatility can never be guaranteed to meet expectation. Being prepared for any situation is something that will probably be very difficult for most people because on many occasion we will surely see an unstoppable panic. Maybe those who dare to take risk are those who will be successful in trading when price experience a big correction, but few of us dare to do so without much consideration.
Unfortunately that is the reason most people who need to be long term holders are not one and that is why they lose money. If you do not know what to do during volatile periods then you should be a long term holder, I do not like to trade during hectic periods like these so I am a good long term holder who made a good amount of profit thanks to just doing nothing at all.

I do not understand why people sell when the price goes down, because that is not helping them neither, it is not something that is profitable, it is not something that we should care, at the end of the day we are talking about something that would be basically a big loss without a return. There are traders who can take advantage of these situations because they are very good at what they do but that's about it, nobody else should be trading if they feel like they are not great and just keep holding their coins.
2688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should be taxed on: June 04, 2021, 06:42:21 AM
In Ron Paul's view, bitcoin is money, and it should be taxed as such. How do you view this information?
It’s nothing new, it’s already happening in some countries where Bitcoin is legal, and has been classified as an asset that is similar to property. In countries like this whenever you do retail transactions, it is subject to being taxed (things like buying and selling  of goods). And also when you’re a Bitcoin miner you’re also going to be paying tax for it.

So there are taxes for bitcoin, and it depends on where you’re living and whether it is legal or illegal at that place. But there are still people who try to avoid taxes through one way or the other, and I don’t think those who make use of P2P methods will pay tax. Just don’t know yet.
2689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin listed on Coinbase pro on: June 03, 2021, 04:15:30 PM
I do not understand why people are shocked, it is normal for something with that much volume to be listed in everywhere, you know why? Because it is something that has a huge volume and exchanges make money from you guys trading. There is a maker fee and there is a taker fee which means the more people trade the more profit they are making and if there is a coin that has high volume that means it is going to be traded a lot if you list it, that is why it is getting so much attention right now from exchanges.

I would love to add dogecoin to my exchange if I had one, it would allow people to basically be at a level where it is just printing money for exchanges, it would be so profitable that it would probably make them as much money as the top coins at that point. Why wouldn't they list it? Hell it was top 5 coin just couple weeks ago, it is understandable.
2690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scenario of the crypto market in near future. on: June 03, 2021, 12:05:59 PM
this has an impact on the assets held and here we should be prepared to add assets so that we can maximize it when this market ends, it does take time but looking at 2017 maybe this can be a reference because this is almost the same as that year (2017 and 2013),
just think of this as a discount given to us so that we can increase the assets we have because I'm sure sooner or later everything will return to normal, even though it takes time
The thing about 2017 and 2018 is that, if you bought at 20k during 2017 and kept waiting, you have made x3 profit when we peaked now, that is not bad it has been just what 3 years or so? 3.5 years at most until the next peak? That is the type of profit I would love to have. However what I learned during that time is not just "keep holding, eventually you will profit" because I knew that way before then, I knew during 2014 crash that if I keep waiting I will profit and that is a simple thing to learn in crypto.

What I learned from 2018 crash is that if you bought at 20k, and kept buying until it reached 3-4k prices, you could have something like maybe 5-6k average? Even if you dropped your average to 10k, that would be x6 profit when it reaches 60k price. So basically when it is lower, it is always good to buy more and more because in the end it would help you get to profit quicker as well.
2691  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 02, 2021, 04:55:51 PM
Looks to me like the 35 to 40k area for May price bet is the winner, it developed into too much of a slow mo for much of a pay off.  Its the second most popular so not really the peak odds I was previously hoping for to occur.   To be fair I also have to wait for the extra time bonus added on as I think I had that one placed for a while for being so close to the 200 day average I always thought it was a good probability in outcome.
I already placed some on June bet as I think we can still move in surprising ways, the random factor is always does it occur for month end and will it be the unpopular choice that I'm really hoping for to maximize my odds and pay out return.    I think Im somewhere in the region of getting just my money back this time but thats my fault for betting too low, price didnt really break down its held steady and nobody is sure if thats bullish or not just yet.
Honestly seeing that "correction" in the betting as well was insane to see, it was really cool to see that. Normally we 60k+ people when it all started, however by the end it was 36+ odds, why? Because even though, it was like 5 odds or so when the month started people literally just put all their money into what was closer right now and that changed things, when you have 30+ odds for the "current" price that gets a shit ton of investment and it was awesome to see the change live action in front of my eyes.

40K was seen as guaranteed somehow, 2.5 odds for a bet this huge was something nearly sure fire, but turns out there was one more drop in the works after that. I personally had 50k, so I had no dog in the fight and I gambled way too early to get the time weight but unfortunately that extra greed became my demise and I lost it Cheesy.
2692  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - $5,000 Race Every Wednesday! Advanced Dice Game 🎲 2.000 Bets/s⚡ on: June 02, 2021, 02:03:22 PM
Flash bet is for high rollers, especially now when the prices are higher! But we can play it regularly, with a lower base bet! I played all these strategies with lower base bets...
The first strategy, x9900 payout with an increase of 100% on every streak of 9998 losses! In the first session from the video, he had 2 wins, in the second session he had 3 wins! I would say it's huge luck! At x9900 it's not strange to have 50000 reds, and even more! And the guy in the video had 5 hits in 50k rolls!

The second and thirds strategy are the same! You chase x100k on limbo, and you manually raise the bet after every 25k rolls session, with stop after first win! What do you think how many reds can there be at x100k?

I busted my bankroll a few times with these or similar strategies! It's all about luck here, to hit that higher payout quickly! Which can happen, or not! It's gambling!
There are guys on Wolf who are chasing that x1m on limbo from time to time... we talked about it here in the thread! Of course, they playing regular auto with min 1 satoshi base bet and they raise bets after every 100k losing streaks. But even for that, you need to have some balance, so people are trying that with TRX, Doge, XRP... you can play it with 50-100 coins!
What we are forgetting is that you can always put on a "limit" and that means you will not lose your whole life over it Cheesy. I personally can play on flash bet anytime I want and I usually do end up with a loss, one time I made it out super high, I made nearly 120x of what I put in and that was one of the best times of my life, it was really awesome.

However I definitely did lose that back as well as some more on top of that, so it is not really that shocking. What I do is I deposit a small amount, amount I am willing to lose, and do a flashbet, because that is usually the fastest way to see if you can 100x your money or lose it, which in the end is almost always lose it all, but I do it knowing that I will lose it, I act as if it is a 99x bet basically, sure you will lose 99 times out of 100, but if you win you get 100x, same logic for me, which is why I never risk too much, think of like 10 bucks at most, I wouldn't mind losing 10 bucks to have a chance of winning 1000 bucks. Do not test it with all of your money.
2693  Economy / Economics / Re: Understanding a bear market. on: June 02, 2021, 12:14:15 PM
Bear market is not that bad nor can it be avoided, I see it as a way of cleaning up the space for a healthier market, an opportunity for new investors to buy at a reasonable price, anyone in crypto should always be prepared for this period and also understand it won't last forever, bull and bear both have a time frame.
It also paves way for the next bullrun to reach higher price, just imagine if those people who easily panicking still holding their btc, that kind of people are already
shaken with every market movement and a little pumping already make them willing to sell their btc holding, i personally dont see this as a big deal but
it will not make btc reach its fullest potential and probably underperforming but if all that left are diamond hands, you can see the market will moon easily seem subtle but could make big impact.
Eventually those people who panic will always end up selling, they sell at every fear they get from the drop, but the ones that keep the price high as much as current price are the people who are willing to hold and knowing what it is values a lot.

Think about still being 60k today, we would not know what the bottom is and now we know that it is 30k+ and that is a valuable information, we can use this for the future bull because we could invest accordingly, we could buy right now and hold and wait for it to go up and when it is going up we would know that it would not go down under 30k again so we can invest with ease. These are very valuable information to have, and the drop itself is bad for people who lost money and I am sorry for them but I am keeping my coins and I am not going to sell and get out, which means I am going to do even better in the future.
2694  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk really has the ability to manipulate the bitcoin market on: June 02, 2021, 05:38:17 AM
Haha, just like I said in the previous post, Elon Musk really has the ability to manipulate the bitcoin market, just follow him at least for the moment. But this wouldn't last long; they started to hate him.
At least if you go short, you also have some money. In this market, the more you panic, the more you lose money.
Anyone can manipulate the market as long as they have a strong influence on people. They might not have that kind of huge amount of money to invest and manipulate the market, but if they have the influence, they can easily do that.

Just like Elon Musk, he's able to do this because he has a very strong influence on his huge followers on social media, especially on Twitter. So that's the thing, anytime he tweets good about Bitcoin the news spreads immediately and a lot of people start to buy bitcoin and that causes the market to go up. And whenever he tweets bad about it, the same thing happens as well, the news spreads immediately and a lot of people start selling their coins and the market will crash.
2695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 02, 2021, 05:09:48 AM
Mercedes will definitely be stronger than in Monaco last weekend, no race in Azerbaijan 2020, but in 2019 the result was clear and the course will definitely benefit the design of Mercedes.

https://www.formula1.com/en/results.html/2019/races/1003/azerbaijan/race-result.html

And there Ferrari still had the more powerful engine.
I believe Red Bull is a lot better in Baku compared to mercedes and that is what weird about the results in the past. Reason is that their "turns" are better than mercedes but their straight line race is slower, which means in places like monaco or baku or other places like that Red Bull should be doing much better than Mercedes. Just because Mercedes did better in the past doesn't mean that they will keep doing better neither, that was just in the past.

Plus let's face it we are watching something that could be changed in a single moment, we could see Hamilton or Verstappen finish 7th, we saw it literally just last grand prix, nothing is guaranteed here. I am saying it will probably be Hamilton first and Verstappen second, either Bottas or if he keeps the good run going maybe even Norris at third, the other on fourth. That looks like the 99% possible situation unless something unexpected happens.
2696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: June 01, 2021, 07:23:37 PM
I know a lot of people are going to expect Paul to be knocked out or dominated by Floyd but a lot of people might get disappointed. It's obvious going all guns blazing right off the bat isn't Floyd's style and not for the lack of being able to, but what I like about Floyd is he is a box office showman and he has made a hell of a career out of it. I expect Floyd to play around Paul before bringing any effort at all, well maybe in the later time of the fight.

It's a money grab fight but I'm still watching just because I love fights and this would likely be more entertaining than previous clown fest fights that happened this year. More of an exhibition than an actual fight, but we'll see. Any bettors out there? I would love to know your thoughts and favorites on this bout.
I guess let's be honest ever since Mayweather beat Pacman, did he really had any real fights? Dude worths so much money and earns so much money so he doesn't truly need to fight anyone anymore, he is done with all those real fights and he just fights with some other people. Mcgregor "could" have been harder if he was a bit better, but even that wasn't really a big problem for him, dude managed to win that too, I think he hasn't had a real fight in years.

Logan Paul is just a weird person, I am sure everyone would agree with that, he keeps fighting for more attention and he found out there was money to be made this way so he has like few fights a year and makes a few million dollars and then goes on doing the same, that is a good gig, I would do that same thing if I got the chance, hell I would fight mayweather for a million dollars today if I can, after all the worst will be him knocking me out and I would get knocked out for a million dollars too Cheesy.
2697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not be able to stay above $35k for 10 consecutive days ever again on: June 01, 2021, 06:44:04 PM
Basically do what the opposite of proudhon says and you are golden. That is exactly what he is doing as well, it is not like it is a secret, he is trolling people at this point as we all know and if he says "it will not be 35k for 10 days straight" that is not what he means, that is what the type of people he mocks, there are tons of people out there who believes in this type of crap and that is the funny stuff is, we are talking about people who would be basically thinking bitcoin will go down so much that it will not even come back.

We need to fix those things and the only way to do that is by mocking them, but the sad part is that some of them do not even understand that they are being mocked. This is why we need to write it. Proudhon is basically a bitcoin bull at this point, or simply trolling, bitcoin will obviously stay above 35k for 10+ days eventually, that is not even a question.

The next countdown offer seems to be Belgium to win outright odds boosted from 7 to 10. I might have to pull the trigger on this one.  Grin

https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/sportsbet-specials/daily-specials/uefa-euro-2020/euro-2020-countdown-60b500620a32a40708eeac46

I agree at 10.00 it is definitely something worth betting, Imma go do that as well. I do not think that Belgium is the favorites, I still believe France is much better this year, but I can't pass up on 10.00 for them it looks too good.

Turkey is the weird one, they have 51.00 odds but they have managed to beat both Netherlands and France in the past 1 year, they win nearly every game they need to, and they have a world class, nearly 200+ million euro worth defensive line, that is not really in any other team, sure their midfield may not be the greatest but that's decent as well while their striker is the guy who played a MAJOR role in making Lille win the league over PSG.

Can you tell me how this team is 51.00 odds? I am not saying they are favorites but I would say at least 20.00 for them, that would be ideal. Which is why I will bet some on them as well, not that they will win but that looks more possible, they also have 21.00 for "to reach finals" and that looks even better.
2699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: June 01, 2021, 04:54:22 PM
I do not get people who feel like Raul lacks the talent and experience to be a good manager for Real Madrid. You guys realize that Zidane was assistant at Real for like a year, had like 37 games as head coach of castilla then became a major manager at Real who won 3 champions league titles right? This guy had just 1 year of assistant at real and less than 40 games for castilla before he became one of the best managers in the entire world, that was enough for him.

Raul has about the same, he has been manager at castilla for 50 games and he could very well start at Real right now and can make a huge change and become awesome afterwards. I am not saying he will be, all I am saying is you do not decide if a manager is good or not based on his previous work at youth teams all that much, Zidane did it and he became good, raul could do it and become good or bad, it is not definite answer until Real tries him.
2700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4chan post explains what will happen to bitcoin and it was somehow right on: May 31, 2021, 08:00:11 PM
Even at a time that you would think that Bitcoin can’t be manipulated, there are still some people who are always trying to manipulate it which is very funny.

Anyways , as a small investor you can still benefit from this, it’s just all about getting the right information and timing your investment accurately. Right now the market seems to be at the lowest that it can go. And anyone who wants to buy can buy now and keep holding. And for those that lost due to the fall, I don’t think there is any need to sell because I wouldn’t, you will be at loss and also miss the opportunity when the train moves again.
