2481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do many mainstream economists always oppose Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2021, 05:18:43 AM
In my opinion, this is determined by the interests they represent. Many economists currently do not live independently. They need to depend on the government to survive. They need to help the government formulate various economic policies, financial policies, and monetary policies, so their starting point and interests must represent the government's will and interests. Therefore, in their world, the status of legal tender must be the most important and correct. On the contrary, they have forgotten the demands of the people and the interests of the people. Bitcoin stands on the side of the people, allowing the people to obtain their own asset freedom, and naturally stands on the opposite side of some economists.
Because that’s not what they were thought. Economists see things differently, and the reason why some of them oppose Bitcoin is because they can’t see where the value is coming. They believe that since whatever value we are seeing there is there because someone says so, then it’s not real. They want it to have somewhere that the value is attached to, and not just a value that is there because people says so.

It makes them to feel that Bitcoin is scam. If you look at Bitcoin the value that we have now is there because of trust; the more we invest in it the more the value grows. So, most of them can’t come to agree with this. That’s what I feel is making a lot of them to believe in Bitcoin being legit. But, that shouldn’t be a problem for us since it is not meant for everyone.

Hi Guys,

WOW! This ^^^ is seriously impressive! Surely can't be a fluke can it? single-handedly picked out the games with all the upsets to come in?

Whatever happened, that is a great multi bet.. well done fella! 1,260/1 !!
I mean Brazilians have always been like this at sportsbet.io, it is a good thing that you guys have Brazilian team sponsorship because all those people coming from Brazil are making crazy bets at your casino and even though there are so many winners that we have seen, I am sure these type of bets are rare and they usually end up losing, a thousand to one chance is a very difficult one to win for the gambler, but a great one for you and I am sure there are over a thousand bets before one of these guys end up winning. Dude literally put up $1 to bet and made $1.2k from it, that is insane, he could do 1200 more times before he could start to lose, and I am sure he will get at least another one, dude knows what he is doing because picking the underdogs on all games is not something a sane person would do, but a very crazy person would be wild about it like he was.

How to identify high-quality projects in the primary market?
1. The team background of the project,.whether the founding team members have other technical or operational backgrounds related to the blockchain icon project. You can learn about it through official white papers, official websites, communities, and other channels.
2. The investment institution of the project is extremely important. A good project seed will attract the participation of well-known institutions in the circle.
3. The technological innovation of the project, or a simple analogy of similar application projects.
I saw a comment saying that all these things don’t work when you’re looking for a high quality project. Take for example, the comment said that teams can be faked. Sure it’s true that team can be faked in a case like this, but I think it’s very much possible to identify whether a project team is truly the identities that are being used or fake.

First of all you have to make sure that the team have a social media account and you have to go through their social media account such LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, and then it’s up to you to know whether the account is fake or not. If the account looks like it was created newly, then it’s a red flag. And if it happens to be a legit account, then you have to check the account and know whether the person has posted anything that’s related to the project, or you can ask them, and if not, then stay away from the project.

Haaland has been a talented player for so long, now he is becoming experienced. If he wants to join the ranks of the list of the world's first-class players, you must become experienced. If he can hold on to their performance and not get too injured, he could be the future Ronaldo. I find a lot of similarities between Ronaldo's style of play and Haaland's style of play.
I do not think that he has been a great player for "so long" just yet, dude is a 22 year old and he has been great for about 2 seasons so far, before that he was just a promising player, now he is a promising superstar there is a difference.

Every single season he keeps this up makes him go into that legend levels, I mean there are not that many people in that level and if this kid continues to be like this, I can honestly tell you that he has a shot to be in the top 50 of ALL TIME very easily, has a case for even more but he would need to be a bit more lucky, like go to a much bigger club that builds a great team around him and so forth, that way he could both have a success unlike what Dortmund has, but could also keep on scoring the way he does. He still has 10+ years ahead of him, probably around 13 years at least unless he gets injured badly, that means so many more goals.
2485  Other / Off-topic / Re: Images, Google, Youtube, showing about gambling in Saudi Arabia. on: August 17, 2021, 09:06:40 AM
if you look again at Youtube, they (the Arabs) are actually playing real casino gambling.

So, that makes me curious and wondering about the casino gambling on Youtube and the google image is true or a hoax....!

What is the response about Islamic countries and their laws prohibiting gambling, but the opposite.
There are more possibilities for these to be hoax. Even we cannot underestimate the credibility of all google services but google searches are just based on key word search. If you put some photoshopped images with the caption of "if Arabs go to casino and play gambling then it will look like this", then google will show those same image for all those who search with key words: Arabs+gambling.

At the same time, we need to wait for the people who frequents to big hotels and other similar resorts to confirm the actual status of gambling in all restricted countries because human's basic nature is always trying to breach both governments' and religions' law for curiosity reasons.

Liverpool finally looking like the Liverpool we know, it is great to see the team actually having some excitement again, not to just watch but to see the players like that actually does make me happy as well.

I honestly believe that we should not be taking this team for granted, they could just have some infighting and suddenly be horrible so it is not really that weird to see what happened last year with just injuries, I am glad to see them back to being good. They are still not my favorites for the season, City is still chasing Kane and if they actually end up getting him, then they are 100% guaranteed to be my favorites, and I will bet on outrights for them as well.

I would love to see any club to even win league, FA, UCL at the same year, I do not know when was the last time that even happened (did it? just can't remember that's all) and City with Kane does actually have that chance.
2487  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin current stage and price on: August 15, 2021, 08:20:25 PM
Unfortunately, you are wrong, BTC goes down again to $45k.

However, we have the weekend dips, so it's but normal. The more interesting break out should happen on Monday, for sure speculators and traders are going to be busy as it will fight it out again in the market, will be bulls continue to dominate the market and shorters getting REKT big time again? Remains to be seen.

The market is already on a bullish phase, but with few minimal dips and get goes on again for that big barrier of $50k this month.
I do not think that Monday will be the day when this happens, I believe that it will be around Wednesday or Thursday when it happens. I know that's too much of a specific date to give for something as volatile as bitcoin, we could be 50k+ today if bitcoin goes into berzerk mode and we do have those kinds of stuff all the time. However what we should be focusing on is not the fact that bitcoin dropped or increased, but more about how bitcoin takes a while to go up.

So, I agree with you that this was a weekend drop and it always happens, this is basically something we should have seen beforehand, but I do not think that bitcoin recovers right away on Mondays, it takes a few days, which means Wednesday or Thursday, even maybe Friday who knows? And that is why I gave a specific day, it could be a bit different, it could be Monday, it could be no increase whole week, I am not a wizard I do not have a magic 8 ball in my hand, I am just guessing like everyone else.

The team background of the project,.whether the founding team members have other technical or operational backgrounds related to the blockchain icon project. You can learn about it through official white papers, official websites, communities, and other channels.
The team is always at the forefront of getting to know how good a project that you are investing your money in really is. Yes, the team goes a long way in letting you know a lot of things. After you have gone through the team and getting to know about them, you must have seen some points or reasons that are going to let you continue or leave it.

Imagine that one of the team members of a project is among Apple’s top engineers, or have worked with one of the biggest platform we have here, you are sure going to want to invest in it.
2489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market in the currency market is about to start on: August 13, 2021, 06:17:00 PM
Bitcoin was born to solve the inflation problem of the dollar, and many holders are to preserve its value. Nowdays many countries are introducing various regulatory policies, not for prohibition. Many large listed companies are deploying blockchain digital currencies one after another, and the industry has a bright future.
The third aspect, what is the economic cycle of the industry, and what is the leading benchmark of the industry now?
We can refer the development history of Bitcoin. After the upgrade of Ethereum, there is a deflation mechanism. In the future, even the overall market value of Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin.
Fidelity Investments try to Bring Crypto Assets Mainstream.
The market has been able to maintain a high price right now. We have seen a bull run already where we got to $60,000, and the question has been whether we are going to reach that $60,000 again before the year runs out. The price has been circling the $30k and $40k. It reached around $45k as of recent, but this is not the first time, the last time it reached that price range and still dropped back to that $30k. So what is it going to be this time, a steady increase or is it still going to be the usual swing we see regularly? We can only wait and see what’s it.
2490  Economy / Economics / Re: China - everything is fine! But everything is bad ... on: August 13, 2021, 05:27:13 PM
no country is perfect, no country is clean and pure. Every country has their own bad things, there is no way there is a perfect, great, awesome country with no flaws. Especially, china has different system, which might be quite controversial for people, no freedom, but they offer an equality. US might offer freedom, but not equality. The reason why people often mention these two countries, and compare them is due to their power. We can't deny that China and US has the biggest power in financial, enough to suppress each other and affect other surrounding countries. However, I don't think both countries is perfect enough, they all have their own pro and cons.
You just made a really good point on this. Every country cannot be perfect, there will always be something that will be a flaw for them. In the case of USA, I would say that the reason why there is inequality is because there are people of different races: Asians, Blacks, Latinos, etc. So, there tends to be a division among them. But when you go to China, there isn’t a huge number of different races there, so it now seems like they are united.

So, you cannot find any country that is hundred percent perfect in any way. Even those countries where there are too much freedom, unlike China, you are always going to find some problems. Freedom is a good thing, but sometimes there are people who tends to misuse the freedom that’s given to them.
2491  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I started investing in crypto 4 years ago but recently did I made profits on: August 13, 2021, 04:38:41 PM
What was your first DEFI Coin?
Did you got rug pulled?
I have started investing into crypto 8 years ago, and my first ever "profit" from investment was just a few months ago, it was a huge profit as well so I am happy (spent it all already) but at least I made it. I never saw crypto as something to invest, I saw it as a new method of "money" and that's about it, just like how I do not "trade to earn more dollars" because there are people who do that but not majority of people who use dollars made that by trading, they worked for it.

Same goes for me, I work for my crypto, and that's about it, then I cash that out and spend it on my monthly expenses to survive and live, pay for my food and bills and stuff.

Trading or investing was something I did small time because I didn't believe that I could do that, I always did it on very small scale, from 100-1000 dollar levels, but for the first time ever I started doing it on early 2021 like January or early February, and I made a very good amount until May. And very lucky that I sold mine on 1st of May to go into another thing.
2492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I start trading? on: August 13, 2021, 08:45:29 AM
The condition of the market could be different when they were doing it than when you were doing it. I would advise you to listen closely to whatever tutorial you were following.
Yeah, even the basics of trading are always same but due to heavy changes on the volatility of market fluctuations, old strategies may lead to stoploss hitting as they need further finetuning with respect to latest trend of market conditions; this is why we must always need continuous learning and then updating our skills and techniques.

There are several ways on how to start trading, not need to take them all but only have to choose where you become comfortable and much more helpful to you. As because not all of these things could help you instead, it might confuse you.
Must be a most practical approach and I have realized that in my own experiences. There should be at least one million strategies but learning at least 1% of them will not be possible for any trader hence going by other suggestions and master one or two strategies and well testing them would be an appropriate way of getting into trading.

There is talk about PSG trying to combine Messi and Ronaldo together, I know it sounds insane, and at this age maybe it is not a world changing situation, but it may end up happening. How? Well, it is known that Juventus would love to accept a huge offer for Ronaldo, dude is getting older and a big offer for him would be hard to decline, not 10 million of course but if you offer them something like 50-70 million then it is going to be tough to turn that down. Where will they get the money?

It is said that Mbappe already gave his notice and he wants to leave, which means if PSG actually ends up selling Mbappe, they will make a boat loads of money and with that money they could buy whoever they want, they could even afford to get Lukaku and Ronaldo and still have some left over, but I doubt it will be another offensive player. So, there is a chance Ronaldo may leave, only if Mbappe leaves.
2494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 what to expect on: August 12, 2021, 08:11:13 PM
As developers keep improving the ethereum blockchain, even though previous ethereum hard forks failed to solve the problem of high fees in the ethereum blockchain.

But with the new London fork proposal 1559 which will offer a new fee system that burned all transactions fees instead of miners determining the fees, this will remove more ethereum from circulation causing demand to rise because of scarcity which will ultimately lead to an increase in price and fewer transactions on the ethereum network.

What are your expectations from this and how it will affect the overall ethereum ecosystem?
What I expect is a lot smaller gas fee, if that doesn't happen then all of this is for nothing. However I am also expecting a good amount of profit as well for me, I do not have 32+ ethereum, but I am working on it, if one day I could actually do that, then I am going to definitely do that, I am going to buy 32 eth and then put it on stake and then make profit from it, the amount I will be making from it will go towards buying other stuff as well and grow my portfolio, I can sell everything right now and it doesn't even make 10 eth just yet, or there about for now, I need to make 3x profit on what I have right now to get there, afterwards it is easier to make money because every year I will have enough to actually buy other coins and tokens, and they will make me some profit too hopefully.

With that being said, profit is not the only thing, there will be a technological proof that POS works too, which matters a lot.
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful what you choose to invest in now, not all coins will recover. on: August 12, 2021, 07:17:28 PM
I think everyone who wants to invest and look for short-term and long-term profits must have studied the development of the altcoin they want to buy. and they must choose the best altcoin according to them so that any risk can be accepted by them. even if they have to lose money.  because only "lazy" people will buy altcoins without seeing the development and prospects of altcoins well.
If you are investing into something a bit on the newer side, looking at the previous parts of it doesn't work, because it is new and there is no history behind it, which makes it a bit harder. I understand that it is not smart to invest into a brand-new thing right away if you are a newbie, but if you are not a newbie and you made some money, it is smarter to diversify your portfolio.

I have a friend who made a good return on his investments, and he divided them all into smaller pieces, many of them lose money, but some of them increase like he can't imagine. This way in 5 years or so, he turned his 400 dollars into 50k+ dollars, he didn't give up, he didn't cash out, he kept on investing small amount to new stuff, when they go up a lot, he diversified it to other stuff, and repeat that for 5 years. It is a difficult thing to do, but a very profitable one if you know what you are doing.
2496  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin August 2021 Target? on: August 12, 2021, 06:10:32 PM
the last quarter will be a good time to watch the price movement as we have been very bullish on it.

For now, we seems to can't get the resistance on $48k, now the price goes down a bit again to $45k. Nevertheless, there's nothing to be afraid of, just a normal price movement, maybe investors are selling at $46,700 because that's the peak so far. But in the last couple of days, after a minor dip reaching a resistance level, the price goes up again so no doubt that $48k, will be the target next and then $50k at the end of the month.
The weird thing is, historically speaking its normally quite usual to see drops in summers, if you look at the previous ups and downs of the crypto prices, you will see that during the summers it usually drops, this year it had the same thing and it dropped as well. However now that we are still in summer, the price has already increased, we had over a 50% price increase, just this summer, from 30k to 45k and that is a huge jump to have.

And the last quarters of the year usually is the time when bitcoin increases a lot, every time we had a huge jump it was during the last quarter, if the opposites are happening that means we will drop in last quarter, but if it is like the old days then we are going to definitely break the ATH and maybe even see over 100k for the first time ever, because last quarters are known for skyrocketing well over the previous ATH, and same may happen.

https://twitter.com/PolyNetwork2/status/1425073987164381196

There is bad news that Poly Network has been hacked almost 60 million USD has been sent to the hacker's wallet.

Of course this is bad news because I think that if there is something like this it will definitely have an effect on the rallying market.

How do you think this bad news will affect all of them?

Source: https://www.coindesk.com/cross-chain-defi-site-poly-network-hacked
That's regarding poly network and not as a whole from crypto. I know it is a huge amount that is stolen but at the same time why should we care if we are not affected by it? I understand that we could be affected by it in the sense that someone got some money out, but I doubt that dude is cashing out 600 million dollars to fiat tomorrow, which means that it was crypto belonging to someone turned into crypto belonging to another one.

As long as they are not sold, the price will not be impacted and that is fine, for example all the USDT there was blacklisted and can't be sold, if he could spend it, then maybe? But how can you spend that much? All in all I have to say that we are in a situation where it doesn't drop the price of bitcoin, and as you can see from how the market responded, we are doing overall very well and I am happy about it.
2498  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Partner - UFC Betting Partner - $1M Race II ⚽ 🥊 on: August 11, 2021, 06:31:10 PM
I understand and I would probably think the same.

There is an important reason why I can't reveal my real identity and post evidence of the ongoing investigation. You can guess what it is, but I would agree with Mladen that there is no point in arguing about this. When there is an update, I will post it, but in meantime, there is really no point.

In my first post I have stated that:"I'm not here to spread FUD, to scare you, to tell you to go and play on other casino/dice because most of them, if not all, are in even worst legal standing then Stake/Primedice."

And the whole point is that you don't keep money on cryptocurrency casinos. Any of them. Play and withdraw.
I understand that there could be complaints about some places, which is understandable, every casino gets complaints at all times, but bitcointalk is not the place for this. If you really think that there is something illegal, go ahead and sue them and handle this at courts, this way you will see if you are right or not, and you will be paid accordingly when you win, if you lose then you will lose and stake is right.

However none of this has anything to do with bitcointalk, here if you do not provide 100% proof and facts that shows clearly that you are right, then you are wrong, because we believe in "innocent until proven guilty" better than courts here, if you can prove that their guilty then we will believe you, why wouldn't we? But if you do not provide 100% proof then it is just hearsay and you are just bothering other people and that is very annoying.

Maybe Barcelona wouldn't be so bad without Messi, but Messi is a player who can give something different to Barcelona's match. There is a much greater passion for watching the game when we see him involved in every Barcelona match and now I don't know if it will be very boring or not. For sure, Barcelona is a team and not just one player. It is impossible to expect him to be present all the time because if not this year then a few years from now Messi will also retire from the world of football as an active player.
I guess the last years of Messi was just a merchandise situation. Think about it, dude was getting 70 million at the peak level, 70 million! You could spend 200 million and get 2 amazing players which will be just 3 years worth of salary for Messi, and I mean like Haaland+Kane together for just 3-4 years of Messi salary, and you can pay them combined 30 million as well.

This team has managed to actually save themselves sooooo much money that eventually they will be doing insanely better, unbelievably better, everyone will be shocked how awesome Barcelona will be in the next decade, they will have the chance to dominate European football again with all the money they will save from this deal. Messi is great and all, but I think he was the only reason the team was doing horrible, sure financial management wasn't good neither but Messi was the main cause of that.

Abraham had some really nice performances early last season but kinda faded as the season progressed. He's English so carries a few more million on his price tag by default, he could be a decent signing for Mourinho.

Serie A will probably suit him more than the Premier League and he's a player that will always be easy enough to sell back to England (due to their English players quotes) if it doesn't work out for Roma.

Good deal for Chelsea as well, really decent amount of money for a player that would spend the majority of the season on the bench.
Honestly I was shocked to learn Abraham is even on the market, he is way too good of a player to give up at this stage for Chelsea. Maybe he may not find himself in the starting eleven all the time, but he is still a good contribution to the team whenever someone gets injured, you can even place in at any place aside from defense, dude is that good and overall.

I guess Roma just wants to build a great team, the logic of getting Mourinho makes more sense now,  having last years' Roma with Mourinho made no sense, but with addition of some new players that could actually become something very good for them. I heard that they are after Icardi as well just now, and that means that with Abraham and Icardi they could actually be a very valid team, but I have zero idea where they are getting that much money from, never knew they had the coffers filled.
