OK, this is the SVG I managed to create with what I got. Only the text is missing, not because I couldn't do it but because I figured some persons will wish to change it, so the graphics are enough.
Tell me what you think. Gfx is not my thing, so this was the best I could do with what I got. (GIMP/Inkscape)

http://clinicadosom.com/downloads/Bitcoin-note.svg_1.zip

It is also posted alongside the PSD @ http://ocantinhodadama.clinicadosom.com/2012/07/20/bitcoin-note-design-psd-file/

Donations to the designer can be sent to: 1EUbpbRV68Rap4JcQFkfxd2urgv9hLy2uu

Thank you.

I'll accept those 4532 timekoins but you'll need to pay me 10 BTC.

I have transered to you 1000 BTC

what just happened

psy has to accept 453200 timekoins or face a scammer tag?

I don't think so. Those 1000BTC never hit my wallet. I also didn't say where he should send the BTC, so I'm wondering where did they went. He also didn't post a tx ID on a message signed with the private key of the address where those 1000 BTC came from.

Also: what's transer?

Adobe software has a downloadable 7 day free trial mode FWIW

There is a Photoshop CS5 for Linux?  Huh

Not to my knowledge, just Mac and Windows, but if it's to host a throwaway trial, there should have no problem with a throwaway copy of Windows 7 in a VM?  (it runs for 30 days without a serial number as well).  The only pain being the time it takes to install it, but installing from ISO files on a hard drive tends to go pretty fast in my experience.

Installing a VM is not the problem. Running a win7 VM with enough RAM for Photoshop and deal with high res files on a Dual-Core 2.4Ghz with 4GB RAM would be the main problem.
Better wait till sunday, when she gets back. Wink

Even when I used windows I never installed Trial versions when I didn't intended to buy the software. Too may crap installed. Now make it an Adobe product and the crap is endless. I didn't even used Adobe Reader because it had the nasty habit of running the auto-updater even when I disabled it Wink
3245  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How would you like to design a bitcoin banknote? on: July 20, 2012, 06:24:02 PM
She exported it as an EPS... No luck. It was pixelated when she opened the EPS on Illustrator. Also, opening the PSD on Illustrator flattened all the layers into one, not sure why.

I already have most of the layers converted to SVG. Only a matter of converting the rest of them and compose the design again on Inkscape or Illustrator, but my hands are tied right now as she went out for the weekend and I don't have Photoshop, or else I would continue working on vectorizing the remaining elements.
Not even going to try and open the PSD on GIMP as I'm sure there will be something missing in there, as usual.

The PSD file is available to download @ http://ocantinhodadama.clinicadosom.com/2012/07/20/bitcoin-note-design-psd-file/

That is the designer personal blog. The post was written by me because she's not very good with english, hence  why I was also the one posting the work here and transmitting her the messages.

Show her your love by leaving a comment there and maybe a tip on her Bitcoin address. I'm sure she'll appreciate it.

Mike, anything you need retouched on the design, just ask. I explained her the conditions imposed for the reward and she fully accepts them Wink

Have fun printing some money! Grin

EDIT: Almost forgot. The green note PSD will be posted also, after the weekend.

Downloading now. 30MB and still going! Little big to be 100 percent vector.

EDIT: 45.3MB zipped 165 MB for the Photoshop file alone. There are other asset files included but WOW!

EDIT: WOW! Ran out of memory and caused chrome to crash. NOT COOL!

EDIT: I think I will wait for the SVG file. I will be sure to tip her once I have my wallet open Smiley

It was made on a lousy laptop with 4GB RAM and having at least Firefox and instant messengers open besides Photoshop CS5. Not sure how it crashed your PC. lol I would test it in mine, which has the same specs as hers, but I use Ubuntu, so, no Photoshop for me Tongue
People should take into account it's a 300 dpi 5000px wide image.

2 inch of flame, computer goes dead. Try it again, Same....

I think you should try a third time at least!

I totally agree.  If your computer bursts into flames, a reboot should solve it.

I did try it 3 times.. only flames the first two :/

Just like he said, the reboot solved the flame problem Roll Eyes

tl;dr: Nothing to sell besides a name and a bad loan

Maybe it's time to put things to a close on this. It's not in a state where a sell off is guaranteed at this point.By trying to do something,a person can learn what works and what doesn't.Clearly the sell off will not work in this environment (or current condition of the venture).I can see where this is going. Some businesses were just nothing more than a name with a few things attached to it and they were successful, others like this need a rethink/draw to a close.

Did I mention that the proceeds were going to good causes.

Who will stop me from opening a thread on this same forum and give it the name of "Dream Islands Loans"?
I already gave out some loans(more than 2) before and they were all repaid, so my track record is exemplar.
I have 5 BTC available to loan now.

How much is my company worth?

If you want to trade EUR/BTC i recommend https://bitcoin-24.com/
Their SEPA deposit and withdrawal is processed in 24-48 hrs on business days, depending on the time of the day you initiate it.
3257  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Could someone update the Scalability wiki page? on: July 19, 2012, 11:37:43 AM
Why are you asking for someone to update it? It's a wiki, you can update it yourself. Wink

I had never thought of that possibility!  Shocked

But no, it's too Hollywood to be true.

Interesting story about the nickname... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dread_Pirate_Roberts
Very fitting.

100% serious. DPR they call him.
3260  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How would you like to design a bitcoin banknote? on: July 18, 2012, 09:44:39 PM
Why we need two barcodes on a note?
If we have one protected and one unprotected codes, I can see the reason: wee use unprotected "verify"-code to verify and protect a "spend"-code.
But in all notes in this thread, we use both codes in unprotected way. Why can't we just use only one "spend"-code on this type of notes?

Yeah and isn't there a way to extract the bitcoin address from the private key anyway? So if you wanted to load the note with BTC you could scan the private key and get a program to tell you the address...

What if you wanted someone to send you the change of an offline transaction to the public key hash? Is it wise to give them the private key?

I'm sure that's only one of the reasons.
