3281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Game lover ? Have you invested for a gaming project ?? on: October 28, 2020, 06:49:03 PM
If you have discovered a good blockchain game project then it’s good when you invest in it, although most of them I have seen I never liked them, except one, but I can’t remember the name for that one in particular. It was a game project that someone recommended, and it looked really nice, everything about them, including the website, I just didn’t bookmark it then.

This one you have here is nice though, and it seems what they do is integrate with some of the mini games so that players can earn real rewards after playing. I am not the type that looks for rewards in games though because most I have seen that are giving real rewards are not worth it.
3282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Half bread is better than none on: October 28, 2020, 05:53:30 PM
Altcoins are really scary, if you can do some research you will see many good altcoins that had very good start and value in 2018 and are still alive today but we never heard anything good from them anymore for some reasons, they are now like ghosts, honestly altcoin investment is more scary, this is why its better to always take profit, most especially from new altcoins, Profit is Profit, either big or small.
It happens with a lot of altcoins, DeFi projects are also something else. Projects that will look good and before you know what’s happening, it’s getting dry and you’re starting to lose money. Taking profit when you can is a really good step to take, although some people don’t take that step because they feel that the market will get better and if they should sell they are going to miss out the huge profit.

Yes, you can miss out from the huge return on investment, but as long as you have gotten some little profit, it’s still something and much better than losing.
3283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DeFi really a threat to centralized finance? on: October 27, 2020, 07:03:12 PM
Companies do not call themselves cefi, cefi is just the "standard" regular thing, there is no name for it, there is a name for defi because it is not the standard regular thing which is why people put a name on it but that's it. I believe there is a big difference between regular and irregular in the bad sense but there is one in good sense as well.

Don't you believe that "irregular" could also mean anything that is a new invention? Ford for example famously said "if I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses" and that is what defi could be, or may not be at all humanity is filled with failed inventions, there is a million failed attempt for every good one.

Defi is something we are trying right now, trying to get our own economy in our hands and if we can achieve it, it would be world changing, if not it would be just a failed attempt.
3284  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 27, 2020, 05:17:46 PM
I don't get it. So, Bitcoin crypto failed because the government is still printing money? That's not true. Crypto has even succeeded more than most people expected, most thought that it was going to stop trading by now, but it's still trading and people are making use of it in transaction, lots of companies are using it now to store their assets, and we are going to keep seeing the number increasing.
Yes, it takes time for countries to allow bitcoins to be legal because it requires a deep understanding to understand how bitcoins work in first place and then they have to see what are the possible benefits and the negative effects if they allow it to be legalized. In India for example they banned bitcoins earlier but then they lifted the ban because they took more and understood that not as much harm is there as they might have anticipated.

If there shouldn't be printing of money as you have said, then there wouldn't be any government. The government is always in control of finance, which is the one thing that underlies the economy as we know it. So they will keep printing money, Bitcoin is not replacing them.
And seriously Bitcoins doesn't need to replace fiat it only needs to find some space in the fiat dominated world such that more merchants accept crypto payments and since we are now shifting more towards digitalization we might finally see some high level adoption in the market towards Bitcoins as a payment option.
3285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 26, 2020, 08:05:51 PM
Chasing losses is the most dangerous part of gambling, along with spending more than you can afford to lose. It is so easy to fall into the trap that you'll be able to recover losses, but the maths and learning algorithms that big casino companies use is simply designed to beat customers in the long term. All you end up doing is losing more and it is best to cut your losses to take a break for a while.
The worst part in chasing loses is that if you are able to recover your loses you will get addicted and start thinking like if you can recover such a big loss so easily then why not play more and even make some profit. While if you lose you will just feel like you need to recover so this is basically an endless chain of events which is not going to stop unless you realize that loses are done and now we need to move forward.

That is why people say deposit only what can you happily lose, so that you never feel the urge of chasing your loses at all. Once you start chasing loses the hole becomes a carter in no time and you feel like you are getting into a never ending recovery process.
3286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK Company adopts Bitcoin as treasury reserve assets on: October 26, 2020, 04:37:46 PM
The company is Mode Global Holdings, will allocated 10% of their assets to BTC. So more institutional investors are joining the bandwagon globally, the question is who's next?
Yeah, this is good news, and this year seems to be getting better for Bitcoin as more of these companies keep on adopting it as a reserve for their assets. I don't know the motivation behind this, can it be because of recession?, but I am happy they are doing it. Many of them are talking about cryptocurrency, another good news I have been seeing is that of PayPal, like lots of changes have been this year and I'm happy about that.

This company has bought 7 bitcoins possibly on a local high... For some reason it seems to me that now bitcoin can't break through the resistance of 14K... I think what this company did was not the wisest decision!
How did you get to know that? And were you expecting the price to quickly get to $14k? Y'all are always in a rush. The price will get to that, but with time. The $13k we have this week is not what we had last week. So no need for the hurry. I knew some people were expecting the price to be very high by now, because of companies that invested in BTC this year, but it doesn't work like that.
3287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin broke $13k today on: October 26, 2020, 03:50:23 PM
Some crypto media sites posted the update when the price was at $13,000 the first time. I think everyone is aware that the price will be going up, that's what it has been doing. Earlier this year we got to this point before the pandemic dragged everything from the top to the floor.

So, I looked forward to it getting to this level and it has been doing just that; the price has been slowly going up, if you can remember we reached $12k before the drop to the floor. The price will soon be stabilizing on this $13k just as it did with $12k before slowly moving to $13k, I have seen that with the way it's going. Last 24 hrs was above $13,100 and now it's $12,950.
3288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc future on: October 24, 2020, 06:56:59 PM
likely goverment will shout down this like  e-gold and liberty resrve?  is btc end up like this? goverment cant shut down btc but they can ban exchangers.
and can ban all the exchangers as its not legit and still grey area.
In some countries they have already made the decision, and they have no plans to ban Bitcoin, rather they would be regulating it. But for those countries that would decide to ban Bitcoin later, they won’t be able to ban it directly, what they will be doing is to ban centralized exchanges so that people won’t be able to buy and sell; Decentralized exchanges will continue to function in these countries though, and those who understands how they work will continue to be making use of them despite that Bitcoin has been banned.

As for countries that will be into regulating cryptocurrency, you should also know that they will be regulating centralized exchanges only.
3289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 24, 2020, 03:33:52 PM
My suggestion is to make a rule to stop playing and try to punish yourself by saving the money you lost from other things like not going out this week, or not buying that gift, etc.
It is easier said than done though because it is not easy to resist gambling when you are in loss and have money with you to gamble and it is an automatic urge to win back, no one really wants to chase the losses but this is automatic. I often play dice and I lose like $10-20 which I can easily afford but somehow I play more and yes at times I recover and even gain profits but more than I lose a lot more in the process. But that is still something I can afford because I deposit only what's extra with me and what I know I am going to lose eventually.

You should set it in your mind that the longer you play in gambling aka the more rounds you play the more you "HAVE" to lose due to the house edge. It is as simple as that.
According to that we shouldn't even gamble because you do not have to face house edge if you do not gamble but that is just theoretical and when you visit a casino you just feel the urge of playing and as long as we are losing small enough to shrug off we are all good.
3290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: October 24, 2020, 09:59:51 AM
1. Created a product that has no analogues.
Well aided the fact that everyone gets a new idea can easily make a token based on it and there is no approval or registration required since all the tokens are decentralized.

2. The desire of a group of people to grab some of the money from this business.
This is a more dominant reason because everyone thinks that once you an ICO you can get instant rich by getting some investors and the truth is that a lot of projects are indeed able to fool investors and raise good amount of money.

I believe the market is now getting smarter though and not every coin that comes in the market gets instant adoption, instead they have to work hard and convince investors to buy it backed by some solid product.
3291  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When You trade Do You use VPN? on: October 23, 2020, 11:05:49 PM
If we can trade without using a VPN, why should try trading with a VPN. Because in my opinion the risk is very big when trading using
a VPN, if it gets caught by the exchanges where we usually trade. Worst of all, our accounts can be blocked and our funds will also be
frozen. So far I have been safe crypto trading without using a VPN, so don't want to try trading using a VPN.
I agree that as long as you can access the exchange without using a VPN you should go for that route and make sure you are not using an illegal exchange because a lot of times exchange will accept customers from all around the world and later when you withdraw large sum of money they will ask for KYC and then deny the withdrawal stating that we don't allow users from your country and you clicked on I agree the terms and conditions where somewhere it would be written we don't accept users from ABC country.

Better to use an exchange like Binance so at least you know that if they allow you to make account and trade then you are all set and good and if even problems happen later you at least know the intent of the exchange is not to scam you by any means.

An example can be seen here, it's related to gambling though but the same can happen on exchanges - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5261029.0

They kept asking for various ID proofs and after the user provided all proofs they still froze his account.
3292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: October 23, 2020, 10:01:24 PM
My portfolio has experienced a gradual reduction as I had to sell some cryptocurrency to keep my body and soul together. This year hasn't been very good for my offline business and my portfolio has been very helpful in cushioning the effect of the reduction in income. I'm glad that I had something to live off despite the fact that the economy hasn't been very friendly this year.
That's true and a lot of offline business gained financial stability through online assets like bitcoins and some had to sell their gold. But, the problem with selling gold is that you don't get the best value of your gold and various kinds of fees are deducted when you sell it.

I was one of the many who had to sell a lot of saved items like my old bike and mobiles to get some extra money as I did not lost my job entirely but my salary was reduced to a significant number and I was getting paid just enough to continue living but I had to often sell few things to get extra cash. I never hold too many coins so I don't know how I would have reacted if I had a lot of bitcoins, maybe I would have sell some and buy them at a later stage when things are more normal like now. As for altcoins, I would have sold any and all of them if I was holding.
3293  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 23, 2020, 06:49:41 PM
Roobet is one of the gambling sites that's many player playing to this gambling sites because many games that you can choose.
My favorite games and what I play is the Dice , slots , mines and sometimes roulette and I like the features of roobet compared the others. They have also a unique features so the players will really enjoy it playing to this gambling site.
I think some sites also have a lot of games to offer, however, Roobet is just different on their approach as they are very much aggressive with their marketing, and that really pays off as they are one of the newest gambling sites that has a very fast improvement.

Roobet now is one of the most popular casinos in the forum.
There tagline says exactly that- Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino and they are very much well deserve for that. I've been experiencing Roobet casino and truly to say fan of it. Besides their unique features, i'm very much satisfied with their ways of marketing. Bunches of promotion currently ongoing on Games and rounds.
Absolutely agree with that and they have the most contest always going on in the games and round section if someone wants a link hereit is - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0

You can easily find at least 3-5 contests everytime running from Roobet which is really amazing and they also offer so many art contests in the services section from to time. In terms of contests they must be the no.1 casino recently because no one else is doing as many forum based giveaways and contests as Roobet did in the last couple of months maybe even longer but I noticed since months.

There are couple of offer-walls on the website which can help you earn some free money by completing surveys, offers, installations, etc so you don't even have to deposit if you are low on cash.
3294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 23, 2020, 04:23:23 PM
For me, it is a success.

It is not that easy to manage a lot of people, millionaires, to start with, putting in a place and behave there as they should be. A lot of things happened but it went well in the end. They adjusted so well, they did so well in maintaining these people, following the protocol and such. It won't end that easy but I hope it ends this year.
Honestly speaking I might be the only one with this opinion but having sports without fans is actually good because there is no useless noise and crowd and the games are happening so peacefully. I was watching IPL the other day and the virtual fans sound they have implemented makes it feel like real crowd is there while there is no fights happening and the matches are going on quite swiftly. If fans were there it was always more intense and rivalry based matches.

I am not saying I don't like fans cheering for their teams but some sports are so much better without fans. I love watching soccer with filled stadiums no doubt but I would always want cricket matches happening with less crowd in future too.
3295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your Worst losing streak at bitcoin dice with 1.5 payout? on: October 23, 2020, 03:31:55 PM
The only time I played dice with bitcoin was a few years ago, in some shady exchange. I played 10 rounds, I lost all of them in a row.

It was possible, of course, but I think they manipulated the output, so played once and never again Angry
Unfortunate if the rolls were really rigged and I suggest to verify if the casino has provably fair system for the dice game because dice is so popular just because it can be verified and I love playing dice and at times when I am playing slots from various providers like Pragmatic play then I wonder how we can verify the bets but I don't think it is possible so I often after losing money on slots turn to dice.

Any exchange offering dice game like I believe yobit does that is actually shady unless they provide a reason and verification of the bets. I would rather play at a casino for dice instead of playing on an exchange that offers dice without any provably fair system being implemented publicly.
3296  Economy / Economics / Re: btc value and currency inflations on: October 23, 2020, 05:00:55 AM
lets say usa dollar and all currencies will be highly devalued .....then how we know the btc value??

most traders use USDT so if something happens with usa dollar is my USDT Will be worthless over night?

USDT is being used as an standard to evaluate the price of bitcoins because we need a fixed currency relative to which we can compare other currencies and assets. So, that benchmark is USD and if something strange happens over time and we see a degradation in the value of bitcoins then we might see a new benchmark but that is unlikely to happen frankly speaking.

I was wondering if there should be a universal currency maybe we call it as UNC and then we set it as a new standard but thinking alone cannot do it and we have to face that the real benchmark right now is USD and no reason to think that it is going to drop and inflation rate is not very high in countries like America.
3297  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: October 22, 2020, 09:50:29 PM
Exceptionally a pandemic situation prevails approximately 100 years in a row. Although China has been influenced since November 2019, the rest of the world will be affected by 2020. Not only has this covid-19 expanded our health hazards, but it has also provoked several casualties. At a similar time, it has had economic consequences in all countries of the world, formulated a financial crisis in personal life, and stimulated emotional upheaval. So at such a period, everyone has to motivate everyone from their respective positions. Although special mental satisfaction, motivation is needed in this covid-19.
You bumped an old thread as no discussion was going in this thread since a while.

I believe motivation is the wrong word here because all we need during these times to lift ourselves is self belief and the ability to bounce back because we all have faced some kind of a setback and no one can say the benefited from the virus and pandemic spread. But there are people who are now working and earning even more than before and that happening because they had the self belief in them and the ability to adapt with the current situation. One can look the situation like of everyone is down then what can I do, someone with a positive intent can see the situation like - Hey everyone is down now and I can take advantage of the situation.

It all depends on how we see a particular situation and how we adapt to tough times and based on that we react to it which decides our fate. Motivation is there within us all it just depends how well we adapt and react to the problem.
3298  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 22, 2020, 06:25:49 PM
The concept of mines is easy to understand, you just guess the boxes that you think do not contain a bomb because when you happen to choose the one with the bomb, the round match is over.  The only really difficult thing is to win because the only thing you can do in this game is a guess, there are no hints that will help you to have a chance to avoid those who should not be chosen.
I guess there are always algorithms are used for mines and any games. I played mines on Windows and get bad results and I can not get the math behind it. My uncle plays the game very good and I have never asked him how he can play like that. If what you said is only guess, I don't think he can always guess better than me.

Maybe he gets some ideas on the math of Mines game and applies it to play better. Luck is beside him, maybe but he does know the secret of the game.
Not everyone has to gamble with every game, for example I know plinko very well, there are plenty of places with plinko games as well, hell the nba2k games I play (myteam mode) has plinko for Christ sake, I just do not like it. This is not because I do not understand it, it is not because I think it is not fair, it is not because I think its rigged or even not about thinking its lower chance to get something, I know those are all wrong, I know it is fair and I know how to play it, and I know it has similar chances to other games.

The only reason I do not play it anymore is the simple reason that I think it is not fun at all, now that is my logic, I am sure for some people it must be super fun if it is in so many casinos, so that is why I believe it is quite important that we realize we can pick whichever games we dislike without considering them anything bad.
3299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does having a lot of investing money make trading for a living much easier? on: October 22, 2020, 01:12:51 PM
Having lots of money doesn’t change anything in trading. This reminds a story of a friend when forex trading was new and trending and lots of people were rushing into it. Met a friend at a Cyber Cafe and he usually comes there everyday to do some forex trading stuffs and meet up with new people.

This guy wasn’t just a normal guy, he had lots of money to throw into the forex market, but it wasn’t working for him because he had no clue about how it works. It took till he bent down to learn it and invested his money properly before it worked. So it’s not about having money. There are people who had little funds, but due to they had understanding about the trading, they are able to raise that little money to something .
I agree with you 100% here because a lot of people think like putting a large amount of money will bring profits as there is a famous saying "rich gets richer and poor gets poorer" but this does not mean that you only have to put big funds into trading and profits will come of their own. You have to learn trading and implement each aspect you learn and then yeah with big funds will come more solidity and appetite to take bigger risks.

I like the story you mentioned about your friend but was wondering why he used to come at a Cyber Cafe since you said he had a big amount to put into forex so I was just curious why he didn't just had his own Laptop/Desktop.
3300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: All most 75 exchanges and tradings have been dead in 2020 on: October 22, 2020, 12:26:51 PM
Majority of the exchange you mentioned in the above is familiar in my sight to be honest speaking
You must mean unfamiliar I am pretty sure because you later said that you are only familiar with hotbit.

I don't really understand and unable to digest how these new exchanges are able to attract traders when there are exchanges like Binance which are running since years and everyone recommends them. I really don't understand if these exchange offer something incredible or what because everyone has a common sense to use a trusted platform instead of a new exchange that isn't even running for 1 year.

I heard of hotbit from my friends who used to use it, so I have to ask them why they even used it now that they have been closed also if they lost any money although I hope they withdrew at the right time.
