Patrike,
Can you check out the code in Awesome Miner for a bug.
Some new users have joined zpool, used a bitcoin wallet (BTC), but in the wallet (stats page) at zpool it's set as BCH.
Awesome Miner is not doing anything for this scenario and simply assuming that zpool will go for BTC if nothing is specified explicitly. Awesome Miner do not specify payout coin at all, so this must be investigated from a zpool point of view. The zpool instructions have always been a bit unclear on this. -o stratum+tcp://<algo>.mine.zpool.ca:<PORT> -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> [-p c=<SYMBOL>,<OPTIONS>] <WALLET_ADDRESS> must be a valid address. Incorrect addresses will result in forfit of earning. You can also use any valid wallet address from any of the coins we mine. This feature has had minimal testing so use at your own risk
Awesome Miner is setting the Bitcoin wallet address the user specified. I interpret that you can specify any coin for payout, but that specifying like that is "at your own risk". For that reason, Awesome Miner is not specifying this "c=" parameter. In the past zpool always went for Bitcoin payouts in that scenario. You can still configure Awesome Miner to add this parameter if you want (via Options dialog, Online Services, modify the zpool entries and add command line "-p c=ABC" or similar). Further reading on zpool instructions: c=<SYMBOL> doesn't always work This is yet another reason why Awesome Miner isn't trying to set this parameter at all.

Hello, I'm very brand new to the world of mining and even newer to awesome miner. I've moved here from the sad burning pile of ashes that is Nicehash =(
I've managed to figure out how to mine ETN from easyhash.io and its going decently but I'd like to learn more! I didn't configure anything and just put in the necessary info and just let it run. Are there any guides/tricks to tweak it a bit to run more efficiently/better? (not exactly sure if this is the best or something else would be more profitable?)
Also I managed to learn the managed miner thing but wasn't sure of the managed profit miner aspect of it. Basically it switches between different pools right? I don't know why it wouldn't work. Do I need to set some stuff up first (wallets, sign up to something?, verify some stuff?)?
Thanks guys!
First of all, Welcome! Nice that you have a setup running. The Managed Profit Miner will automatically change mining software, algorithm and pool based on what is currently most profitable. You will find it described in more detail here: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx. Although you can use your own pools in the profit switcher, many people simply enter their Bitcoin address for some of the built-in pools and no additional configuration is required. Please keep in mind that Awesome Miner itself is not a mining pool and that all payouts will be from the pools you enable for the profit switcher.

Does anyone else have problems with benchmarking? I'm trying to run the benchmarks, but the miner keeps telling me there's no pool added. I can mine just fine if I press Start, but the benchmarks can't find any pool.
I've even followed the guide to add your own algorithm to benchmark, and it still can't find it.
Only tried with CryptoNight so far. Anyone got any ideas?
" No pool specified. Add at least one valid pool using the -xpool parameter "
You must have missed a setting. Profit Switching Profiles also need to be checked as well as the mining software. http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx << See the section -- Profit Switching Profile Properties http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/benchmark.aspxAlso check to see what pools have been enabled. Configuration section >> http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspxYeah, I thought so too. I've checked and double checked everything now. I even did a clean install on both systems, and I just can't get it to find the pool when I'm benchmarking. It finds it just fine if I just press Start. It'll happily start mining away. I find it really odd that it would be different when benchmarking like this. Right click the miner and do a diagnostic check and post the results here (remove your wallet address before you post it). I appreciate the help. Thanks. Starting Diagnostics Starting Mining Software Setting up Miner Engine. Your software does not work except on your coin address in your batch file.
It is fraudulent
All I had to do was put in my bitcoin address instead of yours, and voila! instantly destroyed your software.
Your software mines fine when it is paying YOU.
It does not work at all when it is someone else who is being paid.
You are very wrong here. Awesome Miner is simply launching mining software based on your configuration. It's very open about what command line is being used and you can verify it using the diagnostics button. If you have any questions about your configuration, please use the Diagnostics button and share the details and we will help you. Please drop the false accusations. Awesome Miner has successfully been used by a large number of users over several years, both in small scale and large scale mining operations. I would never ruin the business and solid reputation by stealing a few cents from someone setting up mining for the first time.

I have a few S9's running with 2 pools, antpool and zpool. 2 miners show Antpool as alive, and are mining fine, 6 others show antpool as dead and will only mine on zpool. Anyone run into this issue? Double checked my pool info. Not sure if it's an awesome miner issue or if its in the antminers.
The pool status like Enabled / Dead / Disabled is listed in Awesome Miner exactly as the Antminer provides the information. If a pool is Dead, the Antminer considers it to be Dead. This is not releated to Awesome Miner.

Using Claymore's CryptoNight miner, why won't the GPU list show accepted/rejected/HW error counts for each GPU? Is the information not available through Claymore's API? The total counts for that stuff is shown for the overall miner.
Claymore introduced this a week ago on the Ethereum miner, but not on the CryptoNight miner. For Claymore Ethereum - I've not adjusted Awesome Miner to display this yet, as it's a new API command that cannot be executed on older Claymore versions. I need to implement some compatibilty checks first. Maybe next week.

Am I Missing something? the daily profits calculations for my machines are almost double what a different app and even whattomine is projecting for me.
I did run the benchmark as well. I haven't had a full 24hours running yet, so i'll see when i get a payout to see if its accurate or not.
Awesome Miner will by default use the current profit information from all the sources above. Sources like WhatToMine is by default listing the profit information based on the 24 hour average on their web site. See how to change configuration: http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/coinstats.aspx

I'm getting "Stratum extranonce answer id was not correct!" when trying to mine, any ideas??
It looks to be when trying to mine Blake2b
This will be corrected in the next release that will be made available very soon.

any comments on this? : Should we remove/deselect nicehash.com from Options/Profit Switching ?
Yes, please go to Options dialog, Profit switching and uncheck Nicehash and enable some other pools.

Hi guys,
now i have a new problem and im not able to fix it. Now I use Awesome Miner (Free) with two Miners. one for CPU and one for GPU. I like to mine on miningpoolhub but ive got everytime error messages like:

What can I do?
I need to see the complete command line that started cpuminer to help. Right now it's only possible to see that Ccminer cannot connect to Mining Pool Hub - but not anything related to Awesome Miner. Is this Mining Pool Hub related only? I assume many of the pools are under stress right now when people are moving from Nicehash.

Is there a way to disable some certain gpu when using auto-switch?
I know I can use the command "-d 1,2" to disable gpu0 when using regular miner config but I couldn't find a way to do the same with auto switch. I tried to add it in the mining software config in the profit profile but it doesn't work.
Hi, The difficulty is that this is unique per mining software. And different mining software are quite often using their own order of the GPU's. Awesome Miner do allow you to specify this per Profit profile per mining software and it sounds like you found the correct settings (Options dialog, Profit profile section, edit your profile, select mining software and then Configure). Wasn't it applied correctly? Please verify with the Diagnostics button to see which command line arguments is being added.

As you know Nicehash is down today. When using profit switching on a antminer what happens when a pool is dead? If the most profitable pool is dead, does it use the second most profitable?
If you have more than one pool on your Antminer, your Antminer will automatically failover to the next pool in the list according to priority - so it's fully compatible with the profit switching feature in Awesome Miner.

Hi. Patrike I need your help in very first step.
I'm trying to create a Managed Profile Miner. My steps are:
1. Add Host with IP adress - it is ok. Succesfully connected to Awesome miner 2. Add Profit Managed Miner with host in step #1 3. Press a button - GPU setting - Setting via AM and MSI Afterburner 4. Now I can see all of my GPUs of Rig#2 5. Next I press a button Map to system monitoring and nothing is happenings? 6. Button Start(in upper menu) is not active
Where I have to dig in here?
I have 1 GPU on a computer where AM is running, it is difined like local miner Rig#1 and this is working well on Managed Profit Switching with all predifined pools are activated and with my BTC address printed in.
I settled the MsiAfterburnerServerAgent with AM Remote Agent on my Rig#2.
What should I do to start minig with My Rig#2
And I'd like to point out on some moments of AM
1. I have about 100 Antminers of different types which are united in different groups. When some of groups are opened it is not possible to see the main group string which shows summary statistic of a group. Can you attach groups to the top of the screen, so it could be always seen and be easy to deploy or to collapse. Now when I scroll my miners down the main string of a group is being go away.
2. The options Sort by miners name is not working properly. For example a miner with IP 192.168.0.117 is going before a miner with IP 192.168.0.56
3. Can you Add in main string of a group an ability to sort a data in columns, espesially a column Status. Because when you have some of the miners are deactivated it is not possible to apply a command to the whole groups of miners.
4. Sometimes AM shows me asics as Deactivated, so it is not possible to apply any comands to it, while when I connect to asic via browser with IP address it is connected and colud be rebooted from inner menu of asic.
First about the GPU miner. Maybe you can send me a screenshot together with the Awesome Miner log file (Toolbar: Tools -> Log file) so I get the complete picture of this issue. Thanks for your suggestions. I will use this as input for future improvements. Thanks! 2) About sorting - it's text based and not number based and is actually looking at the description of the miner. If you don't have a description, the IP address is used as descripton 4) Is the miner mining properly when this happens? Sometimes the cgminer process can hang if it doesn't work out well with the pool, and then a miner can show up as Disconnected in Awesome Miner.

Hello Patrike, Sometimes the windows process crash at the begin of the mining, and windows debugging is asking to close/force stop the window.
Can you add a watch dog on the awesome miner client , if the miner didn't start or speed is equal with 0 , to identify the Process PID and close it? Like that the Awsome miner server will be able to proper start the mining window again, otherwise it get stuck, Server side see it as a running process, but client is not running at all. Thanks,
Hi, Although I've already answered this one via PM. I'm also providing the answer here because it may be useful for others as well. The solution is to configure Windows to not show those crash dialogs. They are preventing the process from exiting and it will still be considered running by both Windows and Awesome Miner. Please see this link for instructions: https://superuser.com/a/715645After that modification, Awesome Miner should detect it as a crash and simply restart the mining process.

Hello, Would it be possible to support the ZAR currency (South African Rand) in Awesome Miner? Mining is quite popular here so I think there would be a solid base of people that would benefit from this. Thanks This will be included in the next release.

Greetings patrike, I intend to use AM for profit switching on hashrefinery. I added a few missing algos (xevan, tribus, bitcore) and added them in options-> "online services" section using hashrefinery predefined template values (with their specific port numbers and API values, ofcourse). But they do not show up in "online services" tab. Skein and Skunk (which are predefined by AM) show up, but not the ones I added manually. So I tried adding those three missing algos to "online services", but with zpool values, and lo and behold, they showed up under online services, for BOTH zpool AND hashrefinery. So what am I doing wrong? Is it a bug or a feature? How come adding custom algos works for zpool but not for hashrefinery? Thanks.
Hi, Maybe you can send a screenshot of the configuration (via PM or mail if you want), that you made to the Hash refinery settings in Online services - so I can reproduce. Thanks!

Hi Patrike is it possible to set the power limit to %50 at once for example at 5.00pm and set them at %85 percent at 00.00am.but i need to set them all at once not one by one and i cant seem to make the afterburner integration work and i am using afterburner for overclocking.and also is it possible to set them automatically between the hours i wanted.
Thanks
That's currently not supported because the clocking isn't part of the rules yet. But I like the idea of being able to do that, so I put it on the list of features to support in the future.

Hi, First of all, thanks for everyone (and especially STSMiner) helping out to answer the questions in the thread. Because of the Nicehash incident, I've had a very large number of e-mail messages from new users the last 1 - 2 days.
I will read up on the questions from the last two days, but if I miss anything any issue that hasn't resolved already, please let me know.

I can't benchmark any sgminer algo, it goes in this screen then closes.
Can you try to launch a miner with sgminer using the Diagnostics button in the toolbar. This will give more information why a specific mining software isn't starting.
