for those who have received theirs in the last couple of days can you tell me if they have the 6-pin pci-e connections on the boards already?  or will this be something i will have to wire up?  i only have purchased from the original 1st batch and i had to wire my own up, but have helped a friend configure his a couple weeks ago that had the pci-e connection directly wired into the board.

Nothing received yet, but most probably it will have them Wink

Guys, do you think this is good for 3 or 4 Antminers?
2 in each drawer and then 2 PSUs in the top drawer and 2 on the top: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30192955/

Is it a problem that it is made of metal?

I use these plasic crates from B&Q - they take 2 antminers with a PSU in the middle.
It's a tight fit but the price is right!
You can stack them on top of each other and cut holes in the plastic for power cable access and to improve ventilation in critical areas.

Wow, that looks very practical. Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely get some of these.
Do you think I can fit 2x Antiminers with 2 PSUs?
Any holes on the bottom?

Yes it is a 120 mm PWM fan.
I use a Coolermaster Blademaster 120 mm PWM fan, but I have to shave away the clip, otherwise it don't fit.
They use special fans where the clips are slight different than aftermarket casefans.

That's what I was looking at the picture: the stock fan uses a 4 pin connector and 4 wires: white, black, blue and red.
So can I plug that stock fan into a normal 4 pin fan header?

Guys, I want to buy a 2nd fan to put at the front.
Is it a 120mm?

I really like the Arctic F12, but it doesn't come with a 3 pin fan header to 4 pin molex adapter, so can you recommend a cheap fan that does.

Thank you.

Search for "Arctic f12 pwm"  Tongue

Thanks. Actually I found those, so will just buy the regular F12: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dynamode-PCC-3P-PWMFANSPLIT-3-way-Fan-Power-Splitter-Cable-New-/111239855111?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item19e6697c07

The PWM function would not work anyway, right?

My 6 Ants have been shipped today. Just received the tracking info. Expected delivery is Monday Smiley

Orders made on the 21st.

Do you think it is too late to order more for delivery before CNY?
I have heard local customs are getting suspicious. So I will suggest to make your homework first
Good luck
For 20 used declared value the packages are little big, are not they?

hi all,

what vents do you use for additional vrm-cooling?

i am considering to get some of those:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999344

but i dont like that they come with an extra rpm-controller, thats alot of controllers flying around if i put one of those fans at each board...

Get the Arctic F12 Wink
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186079

I use F12 + some Megaflows, which I found for a very cheap price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=Megaflow&N=-1&isNodeId=1

ok, i was in doubt if those arctics would supply enough CFM.

i guess some adapters are needed to put them straight at the PSU?

They supply enough imo. Molex adapters are needed or get a cheap fan controller.

Is there a Scrypt Asic miner? Is there a small one line Antminer? What do you know about it?

lol, oh noobs.

Just throwing in my quick PSU experience.... I have an overclocked Antminer running on a Corsair RM 650,  and it runs fine =)  I think any good quality 650w+ PSU with a single rail is all you need to run one of these.

How many watts at the wall? 120V?
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 23, 2014, 12:30:30 AM
Think again. $40k gets you 5 TH delivered next week. By the time you get the Neptunes, difficulty will be much higher. 5 TH now is far more profitable than 12 TH several months from now.
5th next week? Who sells them?
25+ Antminers from Bitmain.
https://www.bitmaintech.com/product.htm
3th of Antminers = 5kw (by taking 300watts per Antminer) = 31.654BTC (without shipping) = 25.8k $
3th of Neptunes = 2.5kw = 14.6BTC = 12k $

Two times more $$$ and watts for the same hash-power.

when is that neptune shipping?

Oh you know, in between 1 and 130 days give or take Tongue

You know what will piss me off - if they somehow manage to be late and start shipping in Q3.
Of course I would have requested a refund long before that.
355  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 23, 2014, 12:21:32 AM
If you use the EPS connector, remember the 12v + is BACKWARDS from the PCIE connectors.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html

Yellow wires are on the clip side on the EPS & black is on the clip side on PCIE connectors  Wink

Just sayin  Grin

Thanks. That's pretty obvious, isn't it  Grin
I am no stranger to modyfing PSUs.
All my Jupiters are run without the 24 pin ATX cable, but custom made plugs that I made:

356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 23, 2014, 12:15:10 AM
the last batch of neptunes was no refunds?! holy, didnt know that.

KNC used to be very customer friendly, but not anymore. Now you get:
No refunds
No PayPal/Credit cards accepted
No plausible explanations on decisions they make, but just quoting the word "procedures"

I remember back in August when Sam Cole was willing to talk with his customers for hours over the phone, but now he is extremely busy.

I am also very close at refunding my Neptunes...

@Cyper, you know a lot of PSU's
Is a Corsair AX1200i good for november Jupiters?
I remember horrible stories with Corsair PSU with the october Jupiters.
Thanks

Yes, it is perfect.

Thanks. I see that the hex values are different for the November units: 0x02,0xB5
Do you have the rest with their corresponding clocks?

Thank you.

Thanks. Do you know what Mhz is 305?
Also what is the stock value and stock Mhz?

I hate to muck up this thread but, is it a TOTAL NO NO to use the cx600m to power an OCed antminer s1 with the included pci-e connection? Thanks.

+1

My opinion is is that using one cable with 2 connectors to power an OCed antminer is not recommended, because that is up to 48Amps per 3x12V circuits = 16Amps per circuit, which is a lot for an 18AWG cable I believe.

But if you use 2 cables, that should be OK = then only 8Amps per cable.

Btw am I correct with my numbers, specifically the max OC current being 48Amps? What is the max overclock of these in terms of chip Mhz and GH/s?
CX600M might not be enough then?

snip theheads off the 4-pin ATX mobo cables. I ran an overclocked antminer using 2 pairs of 12V line from the ATX for each blade (wires did get a bit warm but not dangerously). Using just a sinlge PCI-e for both blades will be a problem and danger though

So you are using all the 4 yellow cables from this connector: 2 per blade, correct?

I will probably use the already present PCI-E cable that has 3x 12V circuits for 1 blade and the 8 pin CPU connector, which has 4x 12V circuits for the other blade.
