341  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN] Sr. Member tvplus006 - 459 merits [all earned] on: June 25, 2019, 08:42:50 PM
I still don't have a clue why mercy has not been granted to tvplus006. I've seen other accounts get a signature ban or have their ban lifted in much less time. Any particular reason why this net positive member has to languish?
342  Other / Meta / Re: Have a whole forum for the Satoshi topics on: June 25, 2019, 08:36:19 PM
Craig Wright should just log into his satoshi account and create a sub board for himself, but until he does that this isn't needed and almost certainly won't happen.

Wouldn't theymos have to unlock the satoshi account, first, before that could possible happen? I guess that means there is no chance at all for this subboard.
343  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Flagging user broke an agreement and leaking confidential information on: June 25, 2019, 08:18:38 PM

This is pretty twisted logic based on a plethora of attempted loopholes rather than common sense. Bob assumes OP and @TrustedAccountSeller to be the same person, even if they are not, if you really want to get picky about it, could you not claim that OP is an agent of @TrustedAccountSeller for facilitating the trade? I expect OP would have some financial reason for passing Bob onto @TrustedAccountSeller rather than just out of the goodness of his heart to make sure Bob got an account. That is, if they aren't the same person. Therefor, if a flag is valid, its fine for OP to leave it.

Onto whether the flag is valid or not. Its pretty clear to follow the chain of events and the money here. Then you apply whether or not it was intentional and whether Bob can be held responsible for it. Bob purposefully deceived OP for the sake of harming their business as is admitted. Bob didn't decide to back out of the deal because the conditions weren't favorable, they backed out because they never had any intention of buying anything, so arguing over whether the contract conditions were met or not doesn't matter.

Saying that the information isn't legally confidential and expectedly confidential are two different things. Unless you are suggesting that everyone should get NDAs drafted up before they do any business here, based on their prior communication with regards to escrow agents and warnings about negative trust, Bob had the knowledge that making the information known would do financial harm.

I don't care if you don't like account sellers or not, I'm not a huge fan of them myself, but you don't get to justify yourself as not a scammer because you scammed someone you don't like. SeW either as @TAS or their agent clearly lost monetary value as a direct result of Bob's intentional actions. All of the excuses I'm seeing are technicalities that are trying to weasel not out of the fact that Bob scammed SeW, but why they aren't allowed to leave a flag based on perceived loopholes in the warning flags.

Facts of the matter:
1. Bob intentionally acted in a manner that caused another user financial loss
2. Account selling is not illegal
3. You don't get to financially harm someone just because you are against what they do

We are opening a world of bad justification if we allow scams based on the reason the person scammed the other. This is akin to walking into a window store, taking a look at a few windows, telling an associate that you want to buy one, and before signing you just leave and smash the other windows on your way out. The issue isn't that you decided not to buy the windows...

Sometimes, a person has to break the rules to stand up for what they believe in. The OP is certainly welcome to open up a flag on this. However, I am not going to support it, just like I do not support the US Government prosecuting Snowden.
344  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 25, 2019, 07:55:08 PM
The signed message doesn’t prove anything unfortunately. I also don’t buy the whole hacked argument either.

I don't buy it either. However, it's plausible that the account is still under the control of the original owner. It may be an account farmer trying to rescue the value of his merchandise. Who knows. However, we should give him the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps a neutral tag is more in order in this case. At least with the new system, neutral rating's show up as a tally.
345  Economy / Reputation / Re: Indisputable Evidence of Corruption on: June 25, 2019, 03:10:45 PM
Except now, whenever someone does a forum search to see if there have been any scam accusations against Lauda or MinerJones, they'll find this thread, and have to spend however much time it requires to read through it and judge for themselves whether its a joke or not. As you can tell from some of the posts here, its not that obvious, especially to those who don't know that you can falsify quotes.

I didn't click on any links, I came here, saw the quotes, and read the first and second page of the thread. I realized it was not real when I got to The Pharmacist's post.

Well I ended up getting rickrolled in less than 5 seconds.  Cheesy   I guess the lesson for me is to always double check where a link actually points to before clicking it.
346  Economy / Reputation / Re: Indisputable Evidence of Corruption on: June 25, 2019, 02:50:33 PM
What is a normal guy, in relation to bitcointalk.org?

Who is normal?
Who is not normal?
I know you're an idiot but dont embrace it,normal guys are the ones who has no power here,DT member vs normies? pathethic moron.

you saw my post, but you didnt see the merit abuse of lauda, double standard guys like you wont see it.

What merit abuse of Lauda? The OP is obviously joking. When you click on either quote, it directs you to getting Rickrolled, not to actual posts.
347  Economy / Reputation / Re: Got Negative Tag for Nothing done on: June 25, 2019, 02:03:50 PM
We should also note that the OP has other negative comments. However, they appear in "untrusted feedback." The most notable one is someone complaining about the quality of the OPs translation services. also, with the new trust system, comments do not have the same negative impact as the used to. There is no blaring red negative trust score nor is there a warning about using caution to trade with the person. People are now encouraged to actually read negative trust comments. The reader can now do their own due diligence and take any comments either to heart or with a grain of salt.
348  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mother Forcing Chemical Castration & Gender Reassignment of 6 Year Old Boy In TX on: June 23, 2019, 05:50:09 AM
This absolutely absurd. I don't even know what to type. In India they forcefully marry kids at a young age to cousins etc and now this in america. OMG

If by america, you mean United States of America, you are mistaken. The school is Canada. I'm not certain about this particular curriculum though. It's like teaching that there is no such thing as electrical charge because neutrons exist.  If a 6 year old biological female wants to identify as a girl, let her. Cheesy
349  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: June 23, 2019, 12:58:37 AM
The price of bitcoin has roughly doubled in that time, so it more than evens out.

If you will make enough posts, it is the highest paying campaign, except for chipmixer. They won’t have the same problem Stake had in that their rates only attracted spammers. They just need to be sure to keep the spammers out.

Good luck keeping your signature going. You read the terms, correct?

Users with negative feedback from defaulttrust members are no longer permitted on the campaign. If you sign up you will be removed.

With 17 negative feedbacks from DT members and a yellow flag, we shall see how many posts you can squeeze in before they boot you. Knowing how Yobit operates, you may last for quite some time.  Cheesy
350  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 22, 2019, 10:05:48 PM

It is the exposing the information he gave you that caused the damages. In conjunction with your not following through on what you said you would do causes the flag the person could create to be valid.

Perhaps the flag will be valid. However, who is going to support it? In order for the banner and the warning to display for a person, 3 people on their trust list have to support it. I certainly do not see 3 DT1 and DT2 members supporting such a flag. Perhaps the account sellers/farmers can get together and create their own trust network.  Roll Eyes
351  Economy / Reputation / Re: realr0ach is a danger to newbies and guests. on: June 22, 2019, 02:13:57 PM
Why are you not opening a flag on yourself rather than appearing on every other persons flag thread trying to support the fact they have a flag for perhaps far less EVIL and scam facilitating behaviors.

Please advise how you think someone implicitly calling for genocide is somehow less evil than offering an account for sale? Get some perspective.
352  Economy / Reputation / Re: realr0ach is a danger to newbies and guests. on: June 22, 2019, 01:37:07 PM

Is he explicitly calling for violence? I doubt it, because that is illegal and would most likely be addressed with moderator action. Therefore your comparison is not valid. You still are not addressing the impact upon the fidelity of the trust system that results from using it as a tool to punish people for their opinions just because you find it objectionable. This is more about the precedent that this flag is acceptable than roach. This is about protecting the system and preventing its continued abuse under the new metrics which is far more important than your little flag on this user because you object to his rhetoric.

People love using that term "dog whistles". It is a great way to defame people you don't agree with, because you aren't actually addressing what they said, but instead what you INTERPRET what they said to mean, which is of course impossible to argue against as it exists only in your mind. This is just another bullshit excuse to do a semantic dance to put lipstick on this pig and pretend this is not about punishing him for his objectionable opinions. The op has CLAIMED it is not about his opinions, but I have not seen any evidence presented OTHER than his opinions. You people think you are gaining something with this behavior, but you are making us all less free, and less able to enjoy these systems of protection here just to fulfill your compulsion to smite those that offend you.

Have you actually read his posts? Here is a sample.

You can tell how close the system is to collapsing by how desperate they are to try and grab the guns so they can try and force a new debt based currency scam on people when this one blows up.  I really hope they continue this completely hopeless plan up until the very end.  The kikes could just take all their stolen wealth and try to flee somewhere else and change their last names like they always do, but if they stay and don't try to run, they're as good as toast because everyone knows exactly who is behind it.

So, please Jews, I beg you, do not attempt to flee America.  Stay in the US and continue your hopeless plan so you'll all be eradicated.

Seems like a rather explicit call for violence to me. The only reason he gets away with this statement is:
A) The financial system hasn't collapsed, yet. So this is only hypothetical.
B) The WO thread isn't moderated by staff.
C) Infrofront didn't delete this post. Probably because in this case, realr0ach isn't trolling a distinct individual. Unfortunately, all Infrofront has the power to do is delete posts. He can't issue bans.

Also, I don't believe that my interpretation of statements like this are somehow irrational, that somehow "only exist in my mind." What rational person would come up with a different conclusion?  Huh

355  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan of 0.1 BTC. on: June 21, 2019, 09:03:34 PM
Flagged https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=252

Probably not needed since I do not know what fool is going to lend .1 BTC to a newbie account, with no reputation, and admits to business failing due to falling prey to scams. Seems like a default waiting to happen.

Indeed Bones and still there is enough support, just why that TEC. guy doesn't see the reason is appropriate of some level.....

The backstory behind Tecshare's attitude toward the trust system can be found here and here.
357  Economy / Reputation / Re: realr0ach is a danger to newbies and guests. on: June 21, 2019, 08:24:48 PM
So r0ach is imo also a bit extreme when he talks like jews need to be gone, (said in in many different manners) ....

Yes, r0ach keeps blowing those dog whistles. He always states it in a way that doesn't overtly call for genocide. However, anyone with half a brain can gather what he means when he states that jews need to be expelled from every nation on Earth. I doubt that he means putting them in some ghettos on seasteads or putting them on a colony on the moon. (Although he could mean just sterilizing them and making their "cult" illegal. Who knows.) Also, he talks frequently about preparing for some kind of war against them.
Unfortunately, the OP has made it clear that the flag isn't about r0ach's extreme views on many things. Otherwise, I would be more tempted to support it. After all, I doubt any jew would be perfectly safe having any dealings with him, much less financial dealings. Furthermore, if I were a woman, I wouldn't want to have any dealings with him either. After all, what woman wants to do deals with a guy who basically believes all woman are gold digging whores?
Also, I have to admit that I actually listened to some of his financial advise and bought a small amount of silver with BTC in mid 2017. Needless to say, that appears to be a bad trade considering the current price of silver and BTC. However, I don't think we should set a precedent by yellow tagging people that give bad investment advise. Also, I haven't sold my silver yet. So who knows, maybe it will skyrocket to the moon, like it did in the early 80s.  Cheesy

Touche. you might be right. A Mod should look at all available information 5though

Well, let's hope the mods of the Beginners and Help section read this thread and make a mental note not to move threads to the mining subforum unless they are certain the hardass mining mods are not going to toss it into the trashcan for breaking the rules.
360  Other / Meta / Re: I can't find my thread on: June 20, 2019, 10:39:19 PM
Well, one thing that I can say about the Beginners and Help section. It seems a lot more palatable to read than it was the last time I checked it. The last time I checked it is when people were demoted to newbie because they didn't have even 1 merit. It was filled with people basically begging for merit. I'm not certain if the reason it is actually worth reading now is because the mod(s) for that job have done a good job keeping it clean or if I just picked a wrong time to start reading it in the past.

Again...newbie or not a valid question was asked and deleted. This not a mistake it's an incompetent Mod.

Well, I think the mod that moved the topic to mining was trying to be helpful and move the topic to where the newbie could get expert answers. Unfortunately, the mining board has rules, and this thread broke one of them.

6. All virtual mining - such as cloud mining, purchasing hashrate etc. is a service and NOT bitcoin mining. Discussion regarding cloud mining, contracts, hosting services, renting hashrate etc. belong in the economic services subforum and not the mining subsection.
