1201  Other / Meta / Re: Forum is now Deleting Negative Posts - Imagine Reality if the Negative Stayed? on: December 17, 2018, 03:51:36 AM
Conspiracy Theory is the worst enemy to man kind.

Bullshit.
We need all of even the craziest theories to keep the mainstream in check. If those in power could just label anything they want a "conspiracy theory" then they could silence any dissenting opinion they wanted.

Limitation of speech is the worst enemy of mankind.

I would have battled alongside this OP if he had a case..

Bitcointalk is not not a government entity and can control the content anyway that it sees fit. If I submitted a "letter to the editor," to a newspaper and they failed to publish it, are they infringing on my free speech? If I submitted a book to a publisher and got a rejection letter, would my free speech rights be infringed? I don't think so.

Hitler felt the same way.

That is a slippery slope you're on.

"Freedom of the press" also involves the right of the press to refuse to publish anything. Otherwise, the government can insist that they publish propaganda, or else...

And doing it again !    Huh Shocked

No, the infraction that the OP got a post deleted for was making two posts in a row in the same thread, (The posts can have different content.) not for making duplicate posts in separate threads. If someone feels that they must add more to their thoughts, they should just edit their current post or wait for someone else to be able to respond. Also, if someone wants to respond to more than one person, they should consolidate all their responses in one post, rather than post a string of separate posts for each response.

I'm not certain if the posts that you reported are against the rules. the only rule that I could find that it is close to violating is this one:
Quote
12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).
However, both posts are in the same Board.
1204  Other / Meta / Re: make fun of plagiarisers that act dumb on: December 16, 2018, 11:00:17 PM
It may be sound funny for those who violated the rules in the forum but I think we should also understand that not all users are like you guys. Probably due to financial difficulties and found this forum as a another source of income creating multiple accounts and hoping to earn. Due to the fact that bounty managers has asked all the bounty hunter esp. in signature campaign a specific number of post to comply to get rewards, so bounty hunter tend to copy and paste writings for easier way in achieving the number of posts then. Poverty is the root reason for this. Not all users here born with silver spoon on their mouth with less opportunity even they work hard.

Anyway, It is not good to consider plagiarist for it is indeed a negative impact to.the forum if all posts are copied and paste. In my opinion making fun of them is not appropriate. They had learned their lessons already when they got ban.

So should I also feel sorry for the people who call me on the telephone from less fortunate countries and try to scam me? I really like the calls that tell me they are from the IRS and have an arrest warrant out for me. The ones that tell me they are from Windows and something is wrong with my computer don't make me happy either. After all, I am sure these people that call me are just trying to feed their family. I suppose next time that I should just fork over the money they want or let them remote access my computer and install malware. Perhaps they will be satisfied with this silver spoon in my mouth that I was born with.
1205  Other / Meta / Re: And i want to see where is my mistake too, Account was banned on: December 16, 2018, 05:04:28 AM

I have a split personality. bad joke. Guys, please leave me at least this account. I will just stay with nothing if you block this one.

That's up to the moderators. Maybe they will let you slide, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
1206  Other / Meta / Re: And i want to see where is my mistake too, Account was banned on: December 16, 2018, 04:51:53 AM
BTW OP, the ban is on you as a person, not just the account. You may not use this account to post anywhere else accept to appeal your ban or it is considered ban evasion. I also took the liberty to archive your admission that an alt of yours was banned and sent a personal message to myself to save this for all time. DT, please tag OP account.  Kiss

1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open Letter to BCT community on: December 16, 2018, 03:02:33 AM
OP, your promotion does not belong on the Meta board, even though your project name contains "Meta." Although your post touches on all of the ICO signature campaigns on here, it is clear that the purpose of mentioning this is to knock your competition and promote your project, rather than opening a thread to discuss this as a problem and coming up with solutions. I have already reported this to the moderators, requesting they move this thread to the appropriate altcoin board. Please save the moderators the work and move your thread now. It is not welcome here in Meta.

When it comes to gold and silver, all I have to say is bring it on.  Smiley "Pikes Peak or bust."
1209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2018, 12:52:57 AM
If Bitmain and Bitfinex go belly up,(which I hope they do) some other manipulative, greedy slimebags will fill in the niche.

It's hard to tell if Bitmain will blow up or not.  They're selling their Antminer T15 for $840 right now.  How much money do you think they actually need to sell that for to make a profit (also factoring in all R&D, failed chip tapeouts and everything else)?  What if they make profit on every unit sold for over $100-200 or something retardedly low?

Yea, they lost their shirts on Bcash, but if their cost of production for these stupid ASICs is something miniscule, it seems like it would be hard to go bankrupt.  I also believe a lot of their company budget is spent attempting to try and rig the bitcoin price upwards, and they probably do experience some losses doing that, so that also factors in.

This article is old, but Jimmy Song estimated that it cost Bitmain $500 per unit to manufacture an S9 and the R&D cost was about 10M.
https://medium.com/@jimmysong/just-how-profitable-is-bitmain-a9df82c761a
The development of the 7nm chip was more problematic for them, so probably cost them more in R&D and failed chip tapeouts. Also, the Trump tariffs are adding 25% to the cost of Bitmain ASICS for US customers. This is likely to give any potential US customers some pause before purchasing.
1210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2018, 12:23:45 AM
You don't wanna be stuck in the same place ten years from now roach.

I'm sure he will modify his narrative slightly to fit the current situation. If Bitmain and Bitfinex go belly up,(which I hope they do) some other manipulative, greedy slimebags will fill in the niche.
1211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 15, 2018, 11:40:39 PM
I have no connection to any government, i'm just out to save as many people as I can from this giant crypto scam.  These coins never had any value and never will, its just rampant manipulation that is bringing in more and more suckers.

You got idiots in this thread drawing random lines on a chart like they are fucking Nostradamus.

Great, we have a troll that is concerned. Shall we petition the pope to canonize you before you die?
1212  Other / Meta / Re: Unnecessary uses of Merit!! on: December 15, 2018, 10:38:35 PM
Bitch shut the fuck up

this is post with 5 merit?
haha, on forum are so many member with normal posts and without merits, and  member - with  Legendary ACC  (cant update rank) have 5 merit with this bullshit?

It's funny. I would probably have given it merit if I had budgeted my smerits better. Gee whiz, I'm the democrat and I'm supposed to be the PC snowflake/SJW around here.  Roll Eyes
1213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 15, 2018, 10:35:29 PM
ill be back in 2 minutes

Be careful. Looks like jail bait to me... Could be my age, though. Anyone under 35 is looking like jail bait lately.
1214  Other / Meta / Re: Help Me,Please on: December 15, 2018, 10:05:45 PM

yeah, i cant imagine, haw can make this post without mistake (Copy/Paste)

My theory is that the OP had a glitch in a script/bot he was using. However, I have no way to prove it.
1215  Other / Meta / Re: Unnecessary uses of Merit!! on: December 15, 2018, 09:58:00 PM
i havenot merit now, but check my history, i havenot problem about join in bounty.

i think you make post becouse you want merits Smiley

yeah, i want merit to. but i know, for merits, i want make good and helpfull posts. make some good post, helpfull, and trusted newss.

and maby you will got some merits.
If you want to join on signature bounties you need atleast 1 merits to be a Jr.rank member which allows you to wear signature.

P.S:If you really want to have merit then you need to built your English grammar little bit more atleast to level of creating constructive statements.

You can also wear a signature by purchasing a copper membership.
1216  Other / Meta / Re: Unnecessary uses of Merit!! on: December 15, 2018, 06:25:58 PM
This basically sums up what the administration is going to do concerning giving merits away to "unworthy" posts:

If they complain about amounts, tell them to complain to me. It's best if sources try to exhaust their source allocations, even if it means giving posts higher amounts than is typical. If you have 150 source merit and you only see 3 merit-worthy posts in a month, then I'd rather you over-give each of them 50 merit than let the merit expire. That way there are more people capable of sending merit, and the "merit economy" is less top-down.

If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.

Aside from that, if people complain about whether things deserve merit at all, then that's something to perhaps think about, but if you conclude that they're wrong, then that's that. You don't need to stress about it or defend yourself constantly. It's conceivable that someday you and I will end up disagreeing too much about this stuff and I'll remove your source status, but it's really not a big deal.

The topsendban list is just a first indication of abuse, and many excellent people are on it. Your place on there acts as a sort of benchmark: eg. chandra12 has a similar score there, but whereas you are an extremely active merit-giver with a diverse selection of posts merited (most of which anyone would agree with), chandra12 only has two large merit sends. His behavior in comparison to yours while having a similar topsendban score is what creates a strong abuse impression.

I appreciate the work of you and other sources who take it seriously!

If you have specific complaints about how someone is dispensing the merit, simply start a thread in the Reputation board. If your gripe has any merit, Theymos will most likely take notice and take the appropriate action.

This one is really funny because the OP quoted Danglen and then "responded" with the exact same words. Maybe the OP was trying to be a parrot.

And really sad as well that obvious rule breakers would start threads appealing their bans, when they never bothered to check the rules, ir deliberately ignored the forum guidelines.
And make other users run another search on their posts looking for the reason.
It just hits another mark in the pliagarism bingo.

I think the 1st example suchmoon presented was some type of copy/paste error. However, the second example changed a few words around. The fact that the OP decided to spin the text demonstrates to me that he knew that outright copy/paste was wrong and either was trying to cover it up or somehow thought and the ideas and words became his just because it is slightly different.
1218  Other / Meta / Re: Help Me,Please on: December 15, 2018, 08:05:20 AM
I don't do plagiarism

Yeah... about that:

I think they know which is the better coin to invest is to determined the feedback of the investors in their services or you may look for some websites that tells about the credibility of the company in their business operation during their existence.

1219  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Who is the developer for the bitcoin.com wallet? on: December 15, 2018, 04:47:49 AM
Bitcoin.com is owned by Roger Ver. Here is the wallet's github. https://github.com/Bitcoin-com/Wallet What exactly is your friend's problem? Did they get confused by "Bitcoin Cash" and "Bitcoin Core?"

Doge is more decentralized than the Eth but i think that the developers has left the coin no more update of the codes or anything may be in the long run the coin's value stabilize.

@OP I think your chances of getting unbanned are considerably less than you walking through a 10 foot thick steal wall due to quantum tunneling.
