341  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: September 08, 2022, 10:25:00 PM
I'd agree it was a big factor that could affect our mindset as well.
Like saying that "I was Old to go to school" some people will say that they are not prioritizing to going school but instead, they have to find a job to provide for their family.

Some reasons are:
 * afraid - of being bullied, being looked down, afraid to face challenges
 * priorities - there is something it needs more attention
 * capabilities - they are not suitable for that certain job, carrier, or don't have the energy to perform their task

342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: September 08, 2022, 01:23:27 PM
Don't forget to continue liking bitcoin when things that make you feel that bitcoin doesnt like you occur - the price plunge, regular hacking activities, exchanges going bankrupt, people claiming to be Satoshi etc. They are many bad features linked to bitcoin but, its not meant to stop anybody from continues usage of bitcoin, I'll urge you to keep up with the things that make you happy about bitcoin despite the numerous negative news appearing on news platforms just to detriment the good aspect of  bitcoin. As for me I like bitcoin because they is no third party that is in control of daily transactions.

Bad things people are saying about didn't just started of recent ,  right from the beginning when bitcoin started existing few who know very well bitcoin is good choosed to say different lies about it, but that can't stop bitcoiners to hate bitcoin. If bitcoin price drops low it is not new and its never a surprise because we all know bitcoin is volatile and everyday can't continue to bullish. People who criticise bitcoin are only lying to themselves,  criticising bitcoin won't make bitcoin to be what they think about it.
Nobody cares about Bitcoin before until a big bang happens to it that attracts the attention of the majority and even in the business sector. It was the start that people gave interest in this as a sort of investment, not a form of currency. But for now, it was to see that many people are using this to purchase goods and other things. And the good thing that we really appreciated is we can use this anywhere as long as we have internet.
343  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: September 08, 2022, 12:36:29 PM
Interesting, Understanding our own mindset is very important. This will allow you to understand and identify with the other person's mindset, which in turn will make you a more empathetic person.

The Rich Mindset is not about being a “taker” or “taker vs. giver”. We live in a world where so many people humble themselves for one reason or another for no reason. Let's do our best to be good to each other and encourage each other to be the best they can be. This will not only make you feel better about yourself but will help you become a contributing member of society whether Rich or Poor.

If you can eventually improve even the lives of one other person with the help of your positive mindset, wouldn't it be worth it?
In most cases, poor people poorly think about their future and become hopeless because of fewer opportunities in life. While rich people are living to such imagination of multiplying their assets and money as they believe that they can do it. But I think poor people must change their mindset, being a poor person doesn't mean that we don't have a chance to improve our living. Of course, becoming rich in their position is really hard but if we just work hard and carry the mindset of a rich person, we can be closer to them someday.
344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: stop loss and take profit on: September 08, 2022, 09:41:40 AM
Hi I wanted to use bitget spot as they seem to have a promotion that allows you to trade commission free.
Lately I have been using bitget futures, and I was using take profit and stop loss orders. But it seems that bitget spot does not have these take profit and stop loss options.

But watching a video of how limit orders work in bitget...I understand that the sell limit orders in bitget spot perform the same function as bybit take profit...or am I wrong?

And is it possible with the sell limit orders in bitget to open a trade that is like a bybit stop loss?

also last question it seems that is not possible to do trailing stop loss in bitget spot, right?
I wasn't really familiar with this platform. Maybe that kind of complaint or whatever it is must be sent to their support system for verification as certainly they would answer it as long as they legally operated or that something they need to change on their platform. Perhaps, it was a lesson for you to do thorough research before using this platform. It is a must to be more familiar with it or else, you will just realize that you fall into the wrong platform.
I think you need to check, maybe you just miss it, it happens all the time.
345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and financial planning. on: September 07, 2022, 11:30:58 PM

*Don't rush into any investment or trade without a safe financial plan. As this could save you from any form of financial wreck.
Well, of course, financial planning is very important, and to have clean support in regards to budget for trading. However, this is not how trading becomes profitable, what we just need to do is to have an effective trading strategy and knowledge as planning won't simply work without proper execution and turns useless. I'd say that it was very important to have all of these things works together in order to become successful otherwise, it is a failure. Perhaps, being smart traders have always a plan and are patient.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto has the highest potential?? on: September 07, 2022, 10:20:25 PM
it's your money so whatever the best comes from you and make sure you do your research before investing in the altcoin list above although I also hold some from your list namely matic polygon, I believe matic polygon will hit the price of $ 5 in the next 2 years
DYOR first before deciding to invest. That way, you will lessen the risk because you know eventually that the coin you are going to invest is promising and has lot of potentials to grow. And saying it, I believe ethereum got the highest potentials on your own list. The demand is high so most likely, it’s value will have higher chances to continue surging.
Ethereum has been known to us and it really stays potential even during the bear season. But, considering Polygon and Solana kinda be a good try as well as they both have the potential also. But those other coins that have been mentioned by OP, it is quite not the best option to take, not really.
As we aim for long-term investment, we've better choose those coins/projects that really can be trusted to avoid losing our money, as we lose into hype projects or shitcoins.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 07, 2022, 11:57:20 AM
I think I made a mistake buying at $23,500 (obviously), so when should I really start to panic now that we dropped to $18K?
You found it a mistake because you see the price went down after buying but if you have see prices goes high, you really be saying "I was right".
But I say it wasn't really mistake, it was just in the wrong time. What you need is hold and wait for the price to rallies back, it actually come someday, just be patient.

Quote
At what price point now should I consider to add more to average in at? Like, if you owned a bitcoin at $23,500, would you wait for $10K or 15K to start adding more to average in your high price of $23,500?

Actually, you can have it now. Instead of thinking selling your first bought Bitcoin, better keep it and accumulate more. In fact, that was the thing we supposed to do, "as  wise investor".
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about kickex exchanger? on: September 06, 2022, 01:17:39 PM
it doesn't matter if you trade on KickEX, because until now KickEX is still operating, but there are things you should not do,
which is to store large amounts of your funds there, because we know KickEX exchange is not a top exchange,
if you are determined you can certainly hit by bad things, for example Hotbit,
Hotbit ends in 2022 and the fate of traders and investors there is really uncertain, of course from this we must learn
Even if I can afford to lose $100, I still don't put this in a non-reputable exchange like Kickex. Because even though we know that they are active but that was not the mean reason why traders will choose them, it was the performance base and much more about fund and account security as this certainly really matters. Is this exchange can be trusted? NOT really for sure and since I still have the options, that is why I have no interest in using this. We can avoid falling into their trap if we really wanted.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra Luna Classic pumping - can it last? on: September 06, 2022, 12:37:52 PM
The problem I have is not knowing for sure which way this is going to go.

I wouldn't be surprised if it drops back down to 0.0001 but I also wouldn't be surprised if it reaches 0.0007 with all the hype it is getting lately.

I only put in £300 so it is not a lot to risk at the moment. I think I would have more regret selling early at this stage then not banking any profits.
Perhaps, the reason why this is risky it is because we never know where it goes, up or down.
I know that amount is just small and you can afford to lose it but the feeling of missing the chance to earn a small profit from a sudden and unexpected spike was even more regretting.

Anyways, you have the right to make a decision. At least you are already aware of the situation.
350  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stressful crypto market on: September 06, 2022, 10:30:55 AM
snipped...
The mt gox rumor become one of the biggest impact to the market uncertainity ... we were on bullish run few weeks ago , nearly touching the $25k and heading to $30k but shit just got real .. people scared to hold too much bitcoin when there might a massive sell off in the coming months .. which yeah it's still uncertain though.

There might some people keep buying but yeah there a lot more who selling it right now.
At first I refused to believe those rumors would have too much of an effect on the market but after some time has passed I have realized that I was mistaken and I can only acknowledge the truth right in front of me, those rumors killed any possibility to see a prompt recovery of the price and now those rumors have forced bitcoin to be traded for a price below 20k, and if this situation lasts for long I would not be surprised if the price went down once again.
It has a mental effect and a huge impact on the market as people think that it creates a worse scenario making them sell at a low price.
As long as there are worries in the mind of the majority, prices will certainly move down. But the good thing is that some people manage to control their emotions and fight it. A reason why despite the number of investors who sell their Bitcoin, there are many investors who will tend to catch it and help to keep the price a little bit high.
351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need suggest on: September 05, 2022, 10:28:42 PM
I bought many tokens, the price is now much lower than the money I bought it with. Is there a possibility that the market will rise in the future?

 Welcome and recommend me please
Perhaps, people are buying low thinking and hoping it will grow in the future. But we also have to consider if that coin is really valuable or just a shitcoins for this will somehow affect what might happen in the future. Like, if you are investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum, we can really expect its growth and profit.
But as you have mentioned "many coins", I was afraid that some of them are worthless and you have been tricked with such a low price. I tell you that you better not expect them too much.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some say Bitcoin is dead but Bitcoin is not dead on: September 05, 2022, 09:53:14 PM
All the news about bitcoin dying has been happening time and time again in my opinion maybe just to get a lower price and to be able to adopt at the lowest possible cost, or maybe they really went bankrupt because of their own stupidity.
and even when bitcoin “died”, crypto believers tried to buy more and slowly but surely bitcoin became a way to store value, not just a speculative asset. Regardless of the price, it's here to stay.
so those who say bitcoin is dead will not be able to affect those who have been in this industry for a long time and also those who study and understand bitcoin well, it's better to just ignore it because eventually bitcoin will rise again and one of the signs is that it is declared dead, as previously.
Perhaps, it never has changed as we keep hearing these things once the market is in decline. Well, I'm not sure how it gives an impact on our mindset but I see that people already know that after this drop and market corrections prices will tend to rise and going to bullish once again. So, instead of listening to these negative news and market attacks, we'd better ignore this as this was not the case to happen. And we have to understand the volatile nature of the market and therefore expect changes in its trend from time to time.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu has no value and shouldn't be bought on: September 05, 2022, 01:06:04 PM
Well, to be honest all of meme coin do not have any value, they only based on the community the coins does not have any utility. But then again Bitcoin basically does not have any utility too, but it has so much value because it got massive adoption, I am not saying that Bitcoin is memecoin or they are alike but it is what it is. So, if the community actually believe in memecoin it might have a future. But for me I will never buy any memecoin.
Shiba Inu is a meme coins no matter how the market valued it or not. People are just being considerate and making all meme coins are the same (shitcoins). However, as we look into another picture of Shiba Inu, it looks like something different, it was totally different from other meme coins which are why investors take risk their money on this project.
We are not urge to invest this project, it was just a matter of choice, the same thing why people invest Dogecoin.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can this be the reason some people are afraid to invest in Bitcon? on: September 04, 2022, 12:24:37 PM
Once the word afraid is in our mind, it can be a disaster for our future particularly in making a decision. We can't move freely and make smart decisions.
Maybe, sometimes we feel like this but not all the time we should have to carry this thing otherwise, nothing will happen to us. This is just like taking risks in crypto investment, trading, etc...
It is definitely a need for us to conquer this feeling before it will be going to late. If we have to overcome fear, it is a need also for us to trust ourselves and keeping in mind that nothing will happen to us if we don't act.
355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: September 02, 2022, 02:22:17 PM
I think it's just easy if you really want not to get frustrated. You only need to stay with stablecoins until you think it's time to go and dive to get some cheap coins in the market. For a full time crypto enthusiasts, I think living within your means is a must so that you can survive until the market it healthy again.
Not a bad idea however not even stable coins are foolproof, and we can easily see an example of what I'm talking about with what happened with UST, so people need to be very careful at all times when it comes to the place where they decide to invest their money because you only need to make one mistake, one single mistake, in order to lose a great deal of the capital for which you have worked so hard all your life, so we need to exercise as much caution as we can when we make any important movement in the markets.
This is the reason why we should not hurry investing in a project that we're not sure of. We need to be careful and cautious upon choosing the project to invest in as this is the only it saves us from losing. As we are battling the market condition, I'd see how important holding potential coins, not stablecoins because despite of the situation and market volatility, at least we still have some assurance, unlike these shitcoins. Not, I just talk about stablecoins but because of their previous scam issues, it creates worries as well, and putting money with them is highly at risk.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it right time to invest in Cardano? on: September 02, 2022, 01:04:01 PM
Is Cardano (ADA) a good coin to invest in it for long term?
Yes, it is a good coin to invest in for the long term. If the price is still at a lower price, you can buy many amounts, hold it, and not touch it before the price increases. At least, that is what I did before, and I sold it at the highest price the last year. With the price now being down a lot, I already bought some more and still hold them until now. The price is still good, so you can do DCA and start buying from the current price. While waiting for the price increase, you can also stake ADA on Binance.
For some reason, I don't like ADA because of some losses due to I wasn't able to wait for the bull season to come before I sell them. I was clueless at that time but for now, it looks like ADA is performing well and able to maintain its position as one of the top 10 altcoins in the market. Yet, talking about long-term investment, that is something I couldn't assume will work fine due to possible market duels that would lead to price declines.
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bear market over? on: September 02, 2022, 12:29:32 PM
Well not the thing you want to hear from my but I still suspect this is only the beginning of the 'bear market'.
I still do project a 'Bull Market' early 2023 or later on in that year so as long as you are patient and HODL your Bitcoins I am sure it will make it worth it to ignore the current Bitcoin price.

I guess it's better to hear it that way, instead of denying that we are not in a bear market or we will recover soon. Most likely recovery will start right after the halving, just like the previous bull run. And so if that is the case then almost 2 year we will have to wait. So the best thing to do while waiting is continue to accumulate, nothing beats the old strategy of DCA every month and see how much you can get till the next bull run.
Halving may come in 2024, a little bit excited. We need to survive and keep our emotions stronger and even more positive for the incoming as we still need to face the bear season for 1-2 more years. I just imagine during the last bear season that it takes almost 3 years, that seems possible to happen during this time. Well, anyways, we're just hoping for the best and we don't need to argue the situation whether it was bear season or it ends already, we really just need to prepared for anything will happen later.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should be pushed as a dominant global digital currency on: September 02, 2022, 11:30:48 AM
It is not a must that we should push Bitcoin as the main currency globally and besides, it was not the intention of creating this. Bitcoin is just an alternative currency next to fiat money, it is not necessary to be on top as being at least a currency in all corners is enough. What we just need is that all countries will recognize the value of Bitcoin in the community and legally consider this as another form of currency that people are welcome to use in all applicable transactions.
359  Economy / Exchanges / Re: About my safety on exchange on: September 02, 2022, 05:31:21 AM
Hello 👋  how can I buy coins from a exchange without submitting my national Identity card or BVN number? As for those who did this how safe is it? I don't have anything against verification but I am not sure its safe or am I wrong about its safety?.
Never mind the KYC as it gives you additional funds and account security especially if you are dealing huge amount but provided that you are sending it to the right person or exchanges or else it will fall into the wrong hands. But if you are too concerned about this KYC thing, I will say that it was hard to find reputable exchanges that never ask that. In fact, Binance doesn't ask this before but due to an increase in scams and hacking incidents, leads to such actions.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 02, 2022, 05:09:49 AM
Well, it's a unification fight, so they are staking their belts for this fight, Inoue will lose his belts if Butler will succeed here, but to be honest, I don't see it happening, the chance is very slow.

This fight is just considered a formality for Naoya Inoue to become the Bantamweight King.

No hate towards Paul Butler but we are just being true here. There's no upset that will happen here.

Paul Butler didn't even experience being a choice to be Inoue's next opponent. It just happened that he steal the WBO Bantamweight Title without a hard effort that's why Naoya Inoue needs to face him no matter what to finally unified all the BantamWeight titles.

It seems to me that upset is unlikely to happen here.
We have seen how Inoue and Butler performed inside the ring.
But in case, we don't know their strategic plans to counter Inoue.
But the probability of Inoue winning this match for me is also high.
Now, for Inoue bettors, you can choose which round this will end... Wink
I'd see the prime momentum of Inoue this time, winning is quite possible. The rematch between Inoue and Donaire could somewhat prove that he is really a monster of its current level. And I see this fight as not really a big challenge for him as he once fought heavy fighters and world title-bought.
Paul must be careful with him otherwise, early knockdown is possible to happen in early rounds.
