The foundation controls 1 million coins of the premine, so you can remove around 15% of the total supply that is out in the open. It was mentioned earlier that some chinese guy has over 1% of the coins and the rest of the team has over 1 million at least. So not that many coins in circulation as holders have been able to gather cheap coins for over a year now into a few bags. I expect to see wild swings in prices like we have seen this week already. The coin gained 300% in prices and has lost 29% from the lastest pump so far. New wallets will bring another pump if new tech is being released. This coin is a traders dream!

If people think the team owns a million, and KenChanYu owns a million, take a look at the rich list(https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-auroracoin-addresses.html) and do some math.  I'm going to guess a lot of people will be really surprised when they find out that their calculations on what people hold what just don't add up.

All this "the dev team holds all the coins" talk is silly.  The team does not hold a million coins.  I can tell we sure do wish that was true.  To put it in perspective though, I own less than 0.5% of the current supply, including the burned coins.  So take the burn coins out and that's a higher percentage of total coins in circulation, but it's less than 18BTC at current rates.  When I bought in, it was less than 7BTC.  I'm almost certain that two of the listed team members hold less than me.  So there's still a lot of coins to be had out there for those looking to buy in.

Just to clarify something, we never discussed a release date for the wallets.  We had a soft-decision on releasing this past week, but we've been discussing additional changes that we are looking to make.  We haven't decided if they would be included in this first release or not, so that's the hang-up right now.  Additionally, there has been a lot going on in the personal lives of the members in the last week or two, so team communication has been slow going due to the life events, mixed schedules and timezone differences.  However, I can say that we have a working build right now that is running on a early seed network that we are building out to create a stronger core network.  Should we decide to change core functionality, we will let people know.  If we don't, we will most likely have a build ready soon.  The team will update this thread with a timeline when we agree on one, but for now, please don't put arbitrary deadlines in place that we haven't explicitly stated(as in a specific date).

If you have any questions, let us know.

Well thanks for explanation.

The site is a week old.  There is a lot that needs to be done.  Would you like to volunteer your time to help?

Certainly I can. PM me.

No problem.

If you want to help, the best way to get involved is to jump on the skype chat that is running.  Soltantgris is the point of contact on skype to get involved with the chat.

Cheers,

Fuse
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Auroracoin - A new chapter in the history of Iceland! on: May 06, 2015, 03:13:21 PM
I have few question, if someone will help me answer those please..

1. When old/original Aurora Coin project was developed, I witnessed that all coins were distributed to Icelander in I guess 3 phase's of Airdrop.

2. If 1. is true, then from where these new Auroracoins are been generated? Did Icelanders sold those coins back to BTC?
By mining the remaining supply.  Coins in circulation are a mix of mined and airdropped coins.

3. What happened to the premine coins that DEV team was holding?
They were burned, minus the original amount intended for the AUR Foundation.  The burn information has been discussed in this thread already.

4. What happened to the old Auroracoin team and why did they disappeared?
Balduro left, as he said he would.  I would suspect that he just wanted to get the coin off the ground and turn it over.  That's what's happened.

5. Why all of a sudden you thought of bringing dead Aurora coins back to life?
Because it will succeed with proper leadership and vision.  Why wouldn't we continue development?

6.
Market Cap                 Volume (24h)                               Available Supply
$ 411,450                   1,754 BTC  $ 1,864                      8 BTC 6,738,473 AUR

You should contact coinmarket cap and update the supply figure. It is still pointing to old supply available.
This has been discussed already, and they have already been contacted regarding the correction.  It's up to them to make the change.

7. Give me 3 good reason, that community should believe that it's not scam and dev will not leave project in middle.
I won't put my name, nor the Criptoe Team's name on a scam coin.  The new dev team is dedicated in making this work because we believe it will.  Why would we walk away from a successful coin?

8. Provide us richlist information site so we know coins calculation.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/aur/#!rich.  First address is the premine burn address, second address is the AUR Foundation address.

9. If some part of premine of destroyed, then how was it destroyed/when and which exchange helped you burned it?
It was burned by Balduro by sending it to an uncrackable public address.  No exchanges or middlemen were needed.  Should someone be able to crack the private key for the address, crypto as a whole is in jeopardy, and we've got bigger problems on our hands.

The site is a week old.  There is a lot that needs to be done.  Would you like to volunteer your time to help?

11. Is that possible for Icelanders, who are watching this thread to shout out that I am Icelander here?
If you're an Icelander, just say you're an Icelander.  We'll extend the same trust we'd hope to get from you.

3. I have never stated anywhere that most of the coin is distributed to foreigners. Actually I believe the opposite, though some foreigners might hold some large bags. If Auroracoin gets good adoption in Iceland and the price gets right, those coins will find their way back to Iceland one way or another and so what if those bagholders made some profits on it. Good for them. That doesn't mean that the Icelanders who will buy these coins from them are loosing something.

Lets not kid ourselves on this point. Foreigners do hold most of the coins. The team is made up of foreigners except for the foundation and I doubt they doing all this work if they hold less then 10 000 coins each.
Kenchanyu, Biomike , LTEX must have over 1 million between them.

I still think this coin is going to be a great success but be real on this point.

There's a big point of confusion here... distribution vs investment.

I don't know Kenchanyu personally, but I do know he's not a part of the team.  I also know from reading that he is an opportunistic investor.  I don't know how much Biomike holds, but again... he's an investor.  Same with LTEX, only he's been a backer of AUR for quite some time now, and he's invested in the coin over the last year because he believed in it.  There was no distribution to these three, just like there was none to me.  I invested, but only because I am taking an active role in helping this coin technically.  It would be stupid for me to put work into this coin and not invest.  I don't think anyone here would argue with that.  As much as we'd like to think we're all altruistic and whatnot, at the end of the day, one thing brought us to this place.  We all wanted to make a profit off of all this crazy, free internet money.  One thing I can assure you, though, is that you are so wildly off your estimation of what these 3 own collectively that it's laughable.

But at this point, what does it matter how much people own from where?  What's to say I'm not going to get tired of where I'm at in life, and I don't just pack my bags and move to Iceland?  Between Eve Online, a 97% broadband availability rate, and the #freethenipple campaign, I'm already sold on moving there.

If you're so worried about foreigners owning coin, start pushing for adoption in Iceland.  Skarfur is correct... the coins will make their way back to Iceland.  When the country gets closer to a closed-loop system, there won't be much room for foreign investors, including myself.

guldencoin is half the marketcap of AUR according to coinmarketcap which makes AUR the best countrycoin by far already. Have merchants isn't a good thing because then people spend coins and pushes the price lower and who wants to waste coins buying stuff when you can use shit fiat for that. Look what happened to bitcoin price since more merchants started accepting the coin.

In a closed loop crypto system, there isn't a need for fiat.  When I go and buy a beer with AUR, I expect that bar owner to go and buy breakfast in the morning with it.  And then that shop owner goes and buys petrol for his car with it.  The petrol employee gets paid with it and goes out and buys his wife a wedding ring with it.  And the jeweler goes out and celebrates at the movies for making an awesome sale that day.  And so on and so forth.

A country coin isn't about having another form of currency... it's about being the currency.

Merchant adoption and daily use is the goal, as it should be.  If people want to trade currencies and invest in things, go play around with a forex account.

Let's keep it clean.  We haven't even made it out of the first day of this thread, and we've already started with the expletives. lol

The guy has a right to be cautious.  I agree that it seemed pretty FUDish, but if this is going to succeed, all concerns and questions need to be addressed to the best of the team's ability.

Who is Baldur Odinsen? Tell me who he is and I walk away from this conversation and never return and wish you all the best. I don't know any Icelandic coin developers, most are from China,India,Netherlands and US. I think dev was not from Iceland and use fake Iceland name.

I found him, my mistake.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balder_%28comics%29

At this point in time, does it matter who he is though?  I can assure you that I personally know 5 members of the new team, and have been acquainted with the rest, and they are most certainly not Balduro.

If the coin is in new hands, and the premine was burned, does Balduro matter?  That's like trying to continue the hunt for satoshi.

-Fuse

It wouldn't matter if there wasn't a premine, there is a lot of issues surrounding the other 25% of the premine, he has a lot of explaining to do.

In all seriousness, though, what would you like addressed?  Coins were airdropped to whoever claimed them.  The remaining coins sat in wallets that the AUR team had already planned to block should Balduro not come through with his initial promise.  Balduro then, as he said he would, burned the remaining coins in a dump address(which can be seen in this transaction https://chainz.cryptoid.info/aur/tx.dws?490947.htm).  He is no longer involved in the workings of this coin.  It seems pretty clear.

For those that have already responded about the FUD, I think we should hear it out.  If we can't clearly state what the current situation is, and what our current position is with AUR, then we can't dismiss the FUD.

So Eggert, What's left to discuss about it?  What's left for him to explain?  I want to see if I can get you whatever answers you need to be at peace with your thoughts about AUR.

Do not believe everything you read.

this received couple of airdrops today:
ALTDfdRoDeAcczUgkG7cbpFZkHN74VfE3d

sends it on to AXuwBHwM44NZ2cuYqB3a3hWk8XVC4zo4n2

i think i have not seen a single legitimate claim of an airdrop today. Everything goes to the same 10 to 15 adresses of which 13 send on to the other two.

all airdrops of today more or less are linked to

AXuwBHwM44NZ2cuYqB3a3hWk8XVC4zo4n2

and

AYEkRf9fNbLVkCTjHBpKHZD1X578TaYK6g

the wallets receiving premine today and not linked to these two adresses yet, will be linked to them within 72 hours.

these two adresses claim airdrops and receive same time airdrops from other adresses which claim on the same blocks even. So pretty much every claim of an airdrop you saw yesterday and today (and will keep seeing) will end up in one of the two adresses above.

Auroracoin airdrop is predictable. This is a huge bust.

Just read this page and you see why new coin is needed for Iceland. A fresh start without any doubt of corruption.

Just so everyone is on the same page, you're worried about a total of like 40k remaining AUR in those addresses when 5.34 million was burned?

I mean, just for record, that's what you're talking about right?

It''s the same coin mate. just new owners . Half The undistributed remainder(minus initial foundation funds) of the 50% premine was destroyed.

Just for clarity.

Please tell your boss I want to see proof of him deleting his coins. He is just a bullshitter and the people need to see this.

LOL... funny... I was just in PM before I saw this.  A community member who was snubbed by the devs for project funding asked if he could have my coins.  I said no problem.

Here's the address so you can follow along as soon as I get his address: https://explorer.guldencoin.com/#/address/GaVgch4gm1ASjH2kabi6Mizzr7dsEWkFnJ.  You can verify the address by comparing it against the pool address for Criptoe and following the 1% pool fee.  19,000 10NLG transactions are a bitch to group together and send anywhere... so it may take some time to transfer out.  Grab some popcorn and pull up a chair.

Finally, like I asked in the NLG forums, please stop bringing me up.  I'm done with NLG.  I'm going my way, and you go yours.  Enough already.

I have not been following this coin for awhile, if he has been keeping to his word then wait it out.
Look he's not lying when he says he will destroy the premine because he never gave a date and time. So it might get destroyed tomorrow or next month or next year or next decade.

He would not be lying technically, but this is ridiculous, of course.

Reasonable assumption is that the premine is to be destroyed (if it is in fact destroyed) shortly after the airdrop ends. There is no reason to safekeep it for any amount of time (other than for technical or administrative reasons) before destruction. So any delay beyond reasonable technical or administrative reasons is indication that the premine will not be destroyed or Balduro hasn't decided yet what to do.

Surely someone knows Balduro personally outside the forums.  If not, has anyone doxed him to find him IRL?

A simple phone call or knock on his door for answers is better than sitting here worrying about the unknown.  Go straight to the source.

Hi all,

today I opened again my klondike wallet after almost a year since I didn't open it, and it says "0 connections on the network" "no blocks available". I thought this alt coin had died a long time ago, but I just saw there is still some people working on it or interested?

So, is there anything I can do to rescue my klondikes and make it work again?

Thanks

Hey, mate  Smiley

Best bet is to try to sync your wallet to my pool.  Add the following line to you config, and you should start seeing connections:

Code:
addnode=criptoe.com

Criptoe pool is back up

A network outage occurred sometime this morning in the datacenter that houses the Criptoe pool.  The outage was brief, but long enough to kick the connection between the wallet server and NOMP server offline.  We're back up now, and the pool should be fine.

I'm sorry for the downtime  Sad

Hi  Fuse,

Any update? thanks!

A member of my team has created a mining simulator.  It essentially lets us test difficulty algorithms inside of an excel spreadsheet, adding jump pool hashrate based on difficulty entry and exit points.  The idea is based off the GOlang based simulator created by /Geert-Johan, the NLG dev.  While his sim was effectively the first in crypto, the Criptoe team needed something more familiar to our coding style and easier to use.  Here's a preview of what we're working with:

So the simulator is allowing us to write and test a custom algorithm, similar to DIGI, but with short term and long term retarget to smooth out block times and difficulty jumps.  Seeing the results that NLG had with Clevermining and it's DIGI implementation, which I pushed for over the last 5 months, I wanted to make sure we don't have the same mediocre results here.  Now don't get me wrong, DIGI is making it difficulty for CM to rape NLG like it did before, but it's also paying a toll on the block times and average blocks per day.  We are also looking at modifying the traditional algo and seeing what we can do with that.

While we're not expert developers, we've been around long enough to learn from our past experiences.  If we push an update to KDC, we want it to be solid.

So that's where we're at currently.  We could push an update tomorrow, but it wouldn't be great.  We want KDC to be great.

Update for the referral program:

I added a very simple referral program to the store.  It will allow you to email up to 5 people to refer.  They will get a 2 euro voucher if they order, and you get a 2 euro voucher.  So you could essentially refer 5 people and get 10 euro in vouchers for a future purchase.  You need to have made at least 1 purchase to be able to refer people.

Additionally, I have set up a loyalty rewards program that gives 1 point for every euro spent on the site.  Every point is worth 0.1 euro in rewards vouchers, which can be redeemed on any order.  So for instance, if you spent 50 euro on the site, you would get 5 euro in rewards points to spend on a future purchase.

You can find the referral and loyalty rewards pages under your account info when you log in to the site:

I haven't tested it all yet, but worse case scenario, I will issue a voucher manually if something doesn't work.  Those of you who have made purchases, please let me know if your account is showing points available.

Made an account, works fine and good, nice one Fuse.
I ordered once before but my account says I didn't.

I look tonight futher. Start promoting later this week.

Nice job anyway, I Like it!

Jero, I guess I failed to state something in my post.  The loyalty and referral program will only work on the prestashop site orders, not the old woocommerce site orders.  Let me see what I can do to clear that up on the new site, and I'll PM you later.
