This has nothing to do with the legal status of MMJ in Florida. It has to do with an internet coin that uses the name. We're not trading drugs. -Fuse

My thoughts are that people who run exchanges may hesitant to accept a new coin that is related to something illegal in certain states or countries..
cryptsy is based in the united states.
So have you even talked to BigVern about listing it? That's the first step. Yes, cryptsy is based in the US... the one country right now that is experiencing a BOOM in marijuana legalization and industry growth. Companies like GrowLife (stock: PHOT) shot up in price on January 1st, mostly due to the legalization of recreational use in Colorado and Washington. There's no reason to not approach BigVern with the proposal to list POT. He's a businessman, he'll see the potential for growth. After all, you're not promoting black-market sales and illegal transactions using this currency(I'm looking at you Dopecoin), you're promoting a coin that can be used by an industry that is experiencing it's golden age right now. -Fuse

Pot.CripToe.com has been down for the last hour - I'm moving to xhash
I restarted the stratum service. The pool should be running now. If this happens again, make sure to PM me and I will resolve it, stat. -Fuse

What's really interesting to me is that there is a list of about 15-16 pools, yet 3 pools control the almost the entire global hashrate. I've mentioned it I don't know how many times, but miners need to spread the hash rate around to keep the network healthy. You guys are complaining about a small percentage of people owning a majority of the coin, but you don't care about a small percentage of pools controlling a majority of the network -Fuse

Please add nodes to your config file. addnode=tagmining.com addnode=cryptominer.net
+1, thank you for being on top of things, Torzy! -Fuse

Unfortunately, the other pool OPs haven't paid any notice to the fact that they aren't on the right chain. I don't like to put people on the spot, but their negligence is the reason we can't verify a fix right now.
POOL OPS- RESYNC YOUR WALLETS IF YOU AREN'T ON THE SAME CHAIN AS TAGMINING!
If you know the ops for the other pools... please PM them and tell them to get in gear.
-Fuse
Edit- My wallet has been syncing without issues since Saturday. I have one addnode in my config, tagmining, and it syncs to the correct block and doesn't jump around.

Maybe this isn't easy to do or technically feasible, but, what if the PoW blocks were odd, and the PoS even? Or something like that. Then they couldn't collide.
But I would think you'd be trying to keep up with one another. Like POS would be 400 blocks ahead, and we'd be filling in the gaps as we try to catch up. I say just disable it and move on. There really isn't a need for POS besides giving businesses the ability to hold large amounts of TAG to accrue interest on, but that encourages hoarding. People are going to hoard regardless, but don't give them another reason to. Disabling POS would move us past the issues that have been related to it, and it would bring back the stability that we all enjoyed early on. -Fuse

Just a reminder:
POT.CripToe.Com has 0% fees until Valentine's Day.
I have given out 10k POT in block bonuses, and another 5k POT has been given out in coin giveaway threads in other forums. Help me to help the community by supporting the pool and throwing some hash power it's way.
Thanks, miners!

Anyone else having trouble getting their wallet to sync now? Not sure what nodes are healthy.
Have you tried with just: Addnode=tagmining.com -Fuse

While you might not think orphan resolution of a year being a bad thing, it would be terrible. Most hash power would stop mining the coin, like they did recently.
PoS has always been an issue with coins. I would kill it if there would be no negative effects.
Also, define long target time.
I meant longer, per Mark's 5-6 minute target reference. Correcting my post now.

Sonofa... this sort of thing will really kill a coin quickly. For the moment, I must go back to solo mining STR for fun. Is it too early to have a drink? LOL
Its 5 o' clock somewhere! So good news is, we're ahead... Mark has PMd me and commented in the main thread, and we're earning coins. Bad news is... who knows if things are really fixed. So make the coins while you can, I guess. -Fuse

Well, I have kept quiet to see if this latest fix has sorted problems. No, I haven't abandoned it..anyone who knows me knows that I want this to keep going - aside from that, I do have a large investment in TAG.
We've been doing some more research, and reading some older posts about PoW/PoS combo coins. Seems that the orphans issue MIGHT take 7 to 12 months to resolve itself. That's not something we can control, that is something built into the code base and I have no wish to re write the base from scratch. IF the orphan issue continue to be a problem, then we will simply disable POS mining completely and revert to PoW only. The block generation will go back to being about 4 every minute which MIGHT shock the price, so as part of a fix, then we might change block generation to 5 or 6 minutes.
Glad to get your CONSTRUCTIVE thoughts. No point in slamming us, we just want to get it right for the future. These issues only started happening when PoS came on after 30 days. So, we may need to just turn it off.
I'm all for turning off the POS minting. We were smooth sailing before minting started. If it gets turned off, and things work back into smooth sailing, and I'll be a pool admin. IMO, 7-12 months is too long term for a fix. Plus turning off POS minting encourages the hoarders to spend or trade their coins, which would probably help out the Tagcash exchange. As far as a long er block time target, that's fine. I don't see that being an issue in the long run. my $0.02. -Fuse

you know you can have multiple workers using the same login name. so that user could have 50 cards running under the same worker name
Not advisable on VARDIFF. Just like how you wouldn't run a 5850 and a 7950 in the same cgminer instance. If someone had a 30MH+ farm, I'm sure they'd know that. Plus almost every mining farm I've come across uses individual worker names for each rig to properly monitor rig stats on a pool. -Fuse

Mining on tagmining.com has been temporarily suspended.
It appears that we found blocks ahead of the chain somehow... so yeah, I'm looking into it.
I'll update as I figure this out.
-Fuse
EDIT-As I'm working on the pool DB to sort the issues, I notice on the site that the current block height just went back about a dozen blocks. Just checked Hashfaster and they orphaned, as I'm sure everyone else did too. Either we're all going backwards on the chain to a checkpoint or something, or this is really messed up.
I've sent a PM to Mark asking to check in here.
edit- Mining has been resumed. Fingers crossed this time.

What would you do with your prototypes? Obviously point them at the main scrypt coin that has potential! Though if I was selling the 25mhz ones and had a batch, you would find me on multiple coins for diversification...take a look around and confirm However, it could be someone at the fab with the balls to sneak one out and not the companies selling them. I can't confirm whether or not this is an ASIC, but I can tell you this.... It's one worker . So it just might be. Or it could be someone intelligent enough to try to trick everyone by setting up a stratum proxy(look it up) and using a single user. -Fuse

ALL THE CAKE!
(To all the other miners: please disregard this last statement, we have more cake in the back.)

There are dual mode asics out already, but they aren't worth the cost, imo. You need to sink $3k for something that does the same hash rate of GPU rigs at less cost. Power is the deciding factor, but still not really worth it unless you're paying an arm and a leg for electric.
Give them a few months, and the dedicated ASICs will be out and might be better as far as kh/$. But GPUs will still be very relevant.

Man there are people hashing at 35,000 kh/s what is going on here... smells like asic script mining
35MH is nothing, man. It's just a lot of GPUs in a mining farm. -Fuse
