I pray to a different god.

This is what media has done to the world! We Don't worship any other God "Allah" is just an arabic word used to Describe "God". Pick up an arabic Bible and see what word is used there for God. These terrorist claim to be Muslims but they don't follow what our Holy Book and the Prophet said. If you search on Google for few minutes you will see what i am talking about. These people are not considered muslims by majority of Ummah. I think you a are christian, I have a question for you would you do a thing which Jesus(PBUH) said not to do?? It is same thing what Islam and our Holy Prophet (PBUH) said about life you can search on Google etc What Islam says about terrorism.

I have a theory on this terrorism, The NSA and other agencies pay people to  do these acts by which in return they can spy on people sell data to Advertisers and make profits. If you think it like this, if you are not safe you will definetly hire security etc and they will monitor you 24/7. They can sell the data collected on you, what you like, what you want to buy etc. see how google adsense works. Search for Ipod etc after that visit a site with Google adsense enabled you will be bombarded by ads regarding ipod etc. by this u can eventually control individuals, By what you want to sell to them even if they don't want it. There is a documentary by bbc you can watch that too if you don't believe me.

Malcom X said "The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses"

My Google search turned up this:

http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm

So are you advocating for violence because a book tells you to?  I don't know if I'm understanding your point.  I was born Catholic, but I'm married to a Buddhist.  I don't follow Catholicism as much as I used to, but I can tell you the parts of it and Buddhism that I do follow.  The parts about being kind to people.  Giving to people in need(not talking welfare, but charity).  Being tolerant to other beliefs, while still holding a moral ground as to what is acceptable.  Murdering people over their belief or disbelief is not acceptable.

Honestly, I don't care about the collection of my data.  I could care less that I get an ad for toothpaste in facebook after looking up dentists.  I know that's counter culture to many crypto enthusiasts, but I could honestly care less.  I don't have anything to hide, and I don't care what the internet collects from me as long as I don't get North Korean/Iranian internet.  But I do care a whole lot about people who oppress other people based on their beliefs.  I care about children being brutally killed by a bunch of black-clad IS assholes who think they have a right to the world because they read a book differently than their fellow muslims.  I care that people try to spin the media machine to make it look like tragedies like this aren't happening, and that your prophet gives you the right to do it.

IS has no right to kill.  Just like I have no right to kill them.

I have many clients from Turkey, Kuwait, Dubai, Qatar, and they travel freely to and from the US, spend plenty of money, and are all in a relatively great mood and have no fears of IS or any other terror groups. This is why I do not rely on mainstream media news for information on what is truly going on and where.

So are you denying the mass executions of Christians and non-conforming muslims in IS areas?  I know this isn't the thread to have this discussion in, but it would be pretty obtuse to deny what's going on over there.

Besides, it's not mainstream media when IS is releasing these videos on social networking sights claiming victories over infidels.

Then why not implement Digishield?

This was brought up before when discussing the KGW.  Digishield might help even out some of these peaks, and keep small miners like myself interested(not that I'm not actively mining NLG anyway).

Even if they reject it, and not saying they will, you can always sideload the app.  I know it's not the ideal situation for the masses, but it gets the job done for those people that absolutely have to have the app on their phone.

@markanth: Your help is appreciated.
The fact that there is in total 8M+ NLG received on Gf7 and not kwowing the intensions is scary isn't it? I can't query the blockchain at the moment for the accurate received NLG. If there is another Gd adress it's even more scary. BTW I have no problem with honestly mined coins.

Is Gf7 Lucjver?  If so, I can tell you that he has a considerable amount of hashpower.  He hops on my TAG pool from time to time, and totally dominates the TAG network.  He was one of the first people I ever saw on a pool with that amount of scrypt hashing power.  So much so that the first time he hopped on my TAG pool, I started checking logs because I thought the numbers were jacked up.
-Fuse

I don't think so. Lucjver is mining at a more constant rate as far as I have seen.

What do u call constant? I've seen him go from 50MH to 350 and currently he's at 1000mh.
On hardcore there's also another player now 'Kloink' with 1200MH

Constant in that he is always mining.  Lucjver is always mining something.  He may move hashpower around, but he sticks to his core coins.  Even coins like TAG that are not profitable but were/are a decent prospect.  I could reach out to him and see if he'll join our discussion... even if it is to just share his setup.  I'd love to see what he's working with.

Does this guy having 8M+ coins honestly matter?  I understand that everyone is worried about him dumping and killing the price.  Stuff like that happens.  Look at what has happened to BTC over the last few years.  Up, down, up, down... panic on both swings.  I'm not worried about the one guy selling 8M+ coins.  I'm worried about the weak hands that will panic sell the price to nothing and then let the guy who just sold 8M+ coins buy 20M+ coins.

Lesson to be learned is have a steady hand and think things through before you panic buy/sell.

Problem around hash spread is getting worse last days.

Actual figures:
Date              NLG Received by Gf7wGA  Blocks found   % of 576000
2014-09-01   336.000,26530000         336000            58,3%
2014-09-02   412.002,55330000         412000            71,5%
2014-09-03   461.001,62930000         461000            80,0%
2014-09-04   474.000,98565000         474000            82,3%
2014-09-05   497.001,14100000         497000            86,3%
2014-09-06   477.001,76475005         477000            82,8%
2014-09-07   518.001,02310000         518000            89,9%

Apart from a possible 51% attack, there's another problem: you see that other miners quit because Gf7wGA cheats by mining only at low diff.

In the event NLG goes into top 20 marketcap(and hold) the network hash will increase to a point where miner Gf7wGA will have less of an effect, this must be motivation for the team and community to push harder for updates, I don't think the current pace of updates can be kept up personally but even if September and October is half as good as August, the coin will be above Feathercoin in marketcap by middle of November.

I'm not so sure about that. I'm almost sure Gf7 is the same guy as our old friend Gd something. The day that wallet stopped this wallet started... At that moment he varied his hashrate around 50% with 2-300 Mhs now he does the same with 7-15 Ghs... I also still believe he has other intentions then mining only but can't pinpoint what.

Criptoe.Com could use some extra hashing power if anyone wants to lend a hand.  We've been going strong for a while now, but the added difficulty and hashrate is making block finding more sparse.  Give the pool a shot, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Thanks,

+100, Fuse runs a fantastic Pool!

When are we going to get to a point where you have to at least be a jr/full member to post in this section?

FFS... this shit gets old, quick.

-Fuse

or at least to start threads you have to be a certain level would be nice

That's what I mean.  You should have to be a jr/full member to post a sale thread in this section.

I wonder how many less stupid posts there would be in the long run, and how much less negative publicity crypto would get in general.  Think about all the newbs that come to crypto, drop a couple hundred dollars on BTC and then get taken for all of it.  I'm sure they're not running to their friends telling them to get involved.

NLG on Bittrex is slow going both ways sometimes.  Almost all transfers I've done to and from there took longer than normal, and then needed to confirm.  Don't expect to flash sell NLG on Bittrex.

However, I've never had an issue with trading there other than that.  It's a pretty solid platform.

Let's not forget how far turkey is from Syria and iraq... Think you can't get kidnaped in turkey....
Lemme guess, you are American?

Hey now, let's not go stereotyping Americans. Not all of us have a fear of everything the corporate media machine pumps out on the nightly news. Some of us actually think for ourselves.

Regardless of what the nightly news pumps out, those IS assclowns are something I'd rather not have to worry about knocking on my door because I pray to a different god.

Turkey, the country, for life... no thanks.

Turkey dinner, with all the fixings, for life... I'm in.

my prediction is NLG will hit 2500 sat before sunday

I'd have to agree with this prediction.  2500 brings us to around a penny a coin.

I'll tell you this though, you'd be silly to sell for that amount.  There is no reason this coin couldn't hit 10/20/50 times that in the next year.  Acceptance is the key to crypto, and NLG is probably the only coin that has merchants breaking down it's door to use the coin.  I've made enough bad picks in the last 2 years to know what a good pick is.  Ride it out.

Just my thoughts though.

For those of you new to the NLG scene:

If you are a miner, please remember to be responsible with your hashes and spread the love to keep the network healthy.  There are some good pools listed in the OP, including my own, that could use a little extra help with the increased hashrate and difficulty.

Keep the network healthy.... spread the hashes.

Trying to work out what happened today with the blockchain - at block 108259, the PoW diff was 154, and the next block the diff dropped down to 4 and then worked it's way back up to 100+ very rapidly...however, my wallet is on the same chain, and it's still making PoS. I transferred from Cryptsy and had no problems either so they are on the same chain. I haven't restarted the tagcoin explorer for months, and that is on the same chain. So I don't think it was a fork, it just seemed that the diff just fell away to nothing and built back up almost as quickly.

Whoever mined those coins then sold them very quickly on cryptsy to someone who had a buy in for 10,000 coins at 0.000068...:-) I suspect that someone is applying a lot of hashpower to do it - it makes no difference really, as the coins need be created, but it's a bit unfair on the mining pools out there who suddenly may not be on the right chain...as I mentioned before, best thing to do is increase the PoS to 5% which will reduce the amount available for PoW. This would benefit anyone holding coins at the moment and stimulate the market somewhat. Whatever we do, eventually I need a fairly stable coin I can use to pay out rewards and affiliate fees instead of cash. I would prefer that to be Tagcoin as the branding is there...

Well I'm pretty sure it was deliberate.  As soon as tagmining forked, a miner hopped on to start hitting blocks.  He hopped off as soon as soon as he knew I was watching.  The logs show some interesting things right before he hopped on as well.  Fun times.

I'm fine with the POS change... might liven things up a bit for the old timers who are still holding.

Tagmining is having issues.  Wallet wont sync.  I've got numerous connections, but it won't update the block height.

Still working on it.  Hopefully it will be running again soon.

HEYO... recompiled the wallet and it's pulling blocks again.  Not sure how long until complete, but it's syncing now.

A question for Rijk did you also go to the famous Dutch coffee shops and the red light district to promote Guldencoin if so how did they react?

Let me take care of those 2 (coffeeshops en wallen). Let's discuss it Saturday Cheesy

I don't think that is beneficial for the coin, just like bitcoin is associated with illegal trading firearms and drugs (at least in the media/news). When Coffeeshops and the red light district accepting the coins it gets a lot harder to get regular businesses to accept and normal people, there aren't many people who want to get associated with that. (just my opinion)

This.., so +1.

Ohwell there are other niche coins for that. Cheesy

Will focus on ... gulden een daalder waard

If NLG is going to be a universal coin, it needs to be universally accepted.  I'm sure when the powers that be implemented the Euro that they didn't say, "oh no... coffee shops and red light districts shouldn't use this."

I see that as a perfect niche for people who don't want prying eyes to know that they frequent those establishments.  After all, if it's acceptable to have establishments like that there, why wouldn't it be acceptable to use NLG at them?  One of the main principals of crypto is the general anonymity.

I say don't approach them, but if they want to join on let them.

Just my $0.02
