I'm a little late, but I would like to thank the team of criptoe.com. They have done an excellent job supporting Klondikecoin and I will continue to mine KDC using their pool. Good job guys!  Grin

Thanks, mate!  We appreciate the support!

Sweet!!! Thanks fuse! You guys are are great.

Thank you, mate!  You guys are what makes the pool successful.

When I have a chance to do so, I will get a pool thread started so I don't spam this thread with pool info.  I'm sorry to the devs/leads for dumping this stuff here.  I'll get it sorted soon enough.

Congrats to everybody!!!! Keep up the good work all of you. Thank you Criptoe to give miners a extra amount of coins. Much appreciated. Feel free to contact DEV or one of the marketing/community leaders if you have ideas to improve KDC.

Will do, mate.  The CripToe team has been thinking about that for a little bit now... just trying to brainstorm something worth sending over Smiley.

Isnt botpool Chinese??

They are.  However, if you look at their hash power lately(66MH right now), it's not producing the coins per day that we're seeing being traded on BTC38.

I would be interested in buying the remaining 280x toxics and all of the 270x if all 4 are still available. Just to make matters simple as coins are fluctuating alot right now. I wouldn't need the boxes as long as you would be willing to deal with warranty issues if something went wrong otherwise I would prefer the boxes with the proof of purchase as well as possibly a copy of the invoice of purchase for warranty issues. But if all this is okay with you I would offer $1,400. I may possibly be interested in the lot of 270s but would like to know what kh/s you were getting with them and also if you have and Mobos with 6+ PCIE hookups (1x-16x doesnt matter thought 16x is prefered) and if you have any 1000w+ PSUs

PM sent.

Still not good that one pool has over 50% and if the official pool can have it, then other pools  can too! Plus I think criptoe deserves more than 5 miners!

Thanks, mate.

It's ok, though.  The people who have stuck with the pool will be sitting pretty for the first jackpot in about 1000 or so blocks.  People should have at least kept a CPU miner on CripToe.  They would have been considered for it too.

Lot of people making decent offers in PM, but then never get back to me when I PM them back.  Make me offers people... I'm seriously considering every one.

1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin on: March 08, 2014, 04:44:05 AM
Interesting  to note that the Chinese think TAG is a privately rigged coin - I suppose in some ways it has some characteristics of a private coin, in that we are the only ones that are creating the infrastructure to use it but there is nothing to stop anyone else using that via our api etc to do their own thing. And rigged?..rigged to do what exactly?..lol...we all have the same aim, to increase value but the code is open for everyone to see, how can it be rigged. But I guess public perception is always different to facts. Anyone here who is Chinese want to represent TAG in Chinese forums and sites?..

I don't know if it's the perception of the coin being private, or the network majority.  I mean, I'd sure like to know where all the coins moving in China are coming from.  There has to be a Chinese pool we just don't know about, or some really serious private miners somewhere in the world.  But the fact that the overwhelming majority of TAG trading is on BTC38(for Yuan) tells me the hashing power is in China.

+1 to the API... I wish I was better at code, because I would be all over that.

Seriously, though... a Chinese delegate would do wonders to finding out what's going on over there with TAG.  Maybe a bounty is in order?

Great link for the price watch thanks..

Can't believe I just said they are not mining them...DOH! How stupid is that.

The point was, if we can't know the TRUE total net hash and have some public accountability the coin is moot.

Dabs and Vesperwillow have been able to calculate an approximate hash rate based on difficulty.  How close that approximation is can be argued, but I'd say it's the best shot we have at guessing it.

The thing is, even with the total hash rate known, it doesn't change the fact that there is some trading magic going on in China that makes TAG an amazing trading option even though it isn't here.  I wish I knew what it was.  I'm guessing some smarter financial minds here could do a walk-through of the trading possibilities.

1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin on: March 08, 2014, 12:18:10 AM
Everyone blames China..Well I Speak mandarin and travel often to Taipei and H.K and Xiamen,Canton,Shanghai....Most of my contacts there are crying the same foul..Sure they have lots of Tag but it's not from mining. People here don't realize just how poor most Chinese are...But I know PLENTY of Brit's and Aussie CDN and American expat's that DO have large GPU ops in Korea Tokyo and Taipei H.K.
Everyone I know over there consider Tag to be a private rigged coin...So  it is getting a LOT of negative PUBLIC resentment..

It's not John Q Chinaman mining the snot out of this coin that is for sure..They can hardly afford a bike and cell phone.

If they're not mining it, how are they getting it?  They aren't buying it on other exchanges.... there's no daily volume.

So there's two possibilities... they're either hacking coins from pools and wallets(think my orphan claims back when I cried foul), or they're mining them.  Coins just don't appear out of thin air...

Well, I'm interested cuz I'm not making any Peso right now. LOL.

Things to think about for the devs: If it's not all that hidden hash power, then it must be something with the coin. Orphans imply forks, because orphans are valid blocks that suddenly are now no longer honored by majority of the clients.

That's another issue, if majority of the clients are not the latest version, then that large block of wallets and miners will follow the rules or protocol as of that particular version, invalidating otherwise valid blocks, creating a fork with a very long chain, and forcing whatever was considered valid to become invalid and turning them into orphans.

Just like in the real world, children become orphans because their parents are gone.

Which is why I forked the github and changed the code to block connections to my pool if the client wasn't 1.0.4 or higher.  I was running 1.0.5 and I had numerous clients connecting to me with version 1.0.3 or older.  My github fork said 1.0.4 or newer, and that resolved that quick.

I believe we need to push for that.  Cut off the old clients and call it a day.  Vesper, 24Kilo and I just saved KDC last weekend from the same fate(starting at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=407705.msg5469895#msg5469895).  They updated the code, forgot to limit the connections, and then old clients were connecting and submitting invalid blocks.  Limiting the client connections to only newer clients stopped that immediately.

IMO, it's what we need to do.  If people don't want to update... we force them to update.

1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin on: March 07, 2014, 07:48:18 PM
Tag is a joke ...It has been hijacked by non-public hash power well over 50%...my pool has 40M I am 9.5m of that... we avg 1 out of 80 blocks I'm 7-10 tag/24hrs
Pityful...because they keep moving the goal post..so your actual variance is more like 8000%

All major KNOWN pools only add up to 400M......They are getting shit results also....

Where is all the hidden hash power???  My pool find rate is very near 100% so if we get 1/80 that's means total hash must be near 3.2 gigs
Where are all the blocks going???

Show me some new pools or foreign pools that have anywhere near that?Huh

Only an idiot would think a coin like this could ever serve as a public utility when it's supply is so monopolized and the markets so easy to manipulate.
It is a speculation vehicle only to sap wealth and value out of real world newb suckers.

It's China, mate.  Check daily volume on BTC38.Com.  Yesterday they traded 48k TAG.  So more than likely, someone has a collective farm, or some fancy unreleased ASICs and they are having a lot of fun with them.  Or it's a private pool.  Or multipools.  Or a botnet.  It could be anything.  But it's focused in China.

It's the way the game goes, mate.  There might even be a currency exchange gain we're not seeing over here.  The possibility for someone there to go from BTC-> TAG -> Yuan -> Peso and all the trades between... someone might be making some serious money on the down low.  Would you make that public, or would you ride it out for as long as you can?

1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin on: March 07, 2014, 05:31:52 PM
Just a quick not to say we are working next week to add TAG as a reward for subscribing to vtc.com, or on recurring monthly renewals. For $30 a month accounts we are giving $5 of TAG when the user adds their TAG ID to their customer info, or $50 worth of TAG for a $250 a year subscription. Not everyone will take advantage of it, but there will be exposure to a few thousand new users every month, with VTC needing to buy about 30,000 TAG per month to give out. This should be in action by the end of next week.

Using this as proof of rewards system in action, we will then be approaching other companies with subscription models to offer TAG to their customers. We are hoping this will spread. If you know of any companies you deal with and pay a monthly or yearly fee, please suggest they do the same thing...Smiley

+1

Great system, IMO.  Good idea, Mark.

I'd be interested in grabbing one of the 270x (or two once I work out my finances for the week) if possible. Can offer BTC0.3142 if interested. I can pass on the boxes as long as a proof of purchase would be provided for warranty purposes. Please do let me know Smiley

BTW: I am located in the states (AZ to be exact) for shipping purposes

Shoot me a PM, and we'll talk possibilities.

I bought three 7950's from Fuse a couple months back.  They arrived quickly and have been hashing reliably 24/7 since.

I might be interested in some of these, but will have to consult the household minister of finances... lol.

Frank, my man!  Good to see you, mate!  I'm glad those 7950s are going strong in their second life with you.  It's amazing how long these cards will hold up when cared for.

Let me know what you're interested in, and we'll work something out.  Just shoot me a PM when you want to make a deal.

Everything sold.  Thanks, everyone.

Greetings,

My business partner and I have been rethinking our mining operation, and we've decided to sell off some gear to work on other avenues of our crypto endeavors .  We have gear that has been sitting in boxes waiting to be put into rigs, but we haven't had a chance to get it up and running due to power limitations in our rental homes.  Some of the gear has been mined with for around a month or less, at stock settings, but most of it was just unboxed, checked, and put back into the boxes.  Everything comes with original boxes, or can be shipped without boxes to save on shipping with multiple pieces.  The list of gear is as follows:

I just received:

200 x Sata powered USB risers(18" cable) - $8 each, shipped!!!!
If you order 10 or more, they are $7 each, shipped.[/s]

I'll throw in a free riser for each GPU you buy.
(While supplies last)

9 x Gigabyte R9 270 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125491) - $110 each shipped, or better if ordering multiples or without boxes.

Pictures of the goods:

Payment in BTC only.  I'd like to sell all the cards if possible, and can probably work a deal on a large order(or the whole shebang!).  If you purchase a large quantity of GPUs I may even throw in a MB, a CPU, or some RAM into the deal for free.

I'm willing to accept offers, but please no low ballers.  Prices already include shipping, so please keep that in mind when sending me an offer.

Totaly agree, voting is new BS way of exchanges monetizing

100% agree.  These new "pay to vote" exchanges are a tad ridiculous.  What's to say the next doesn't take us all for fools and take the BTC and run?

24Kilo is correct in that the money going into "voting" could have gone a long way in buy orders on already existing exchanges.  I really think getting listed on 1500 exchanges will only thin out the already thin orders.
