Damn it, is it _that_ hard to fix an OSX wallet? Do I really need to find a windows machine or make one in VM just to use the coin?

Why not compile the client for the Mac community if you need it so bad?  Do fork the code on github, compile it and do a pull request.

You can be a part-time hero for the community, or you can be just another person whining about something they want.

-Fuse

With a supposedly serious money and people behind this coin, I think expecting official builds for a widely used environment is not whining. Not like I am asking for a HPUX or AmigaOS build. I don't need it that bad, it is just inconvenient.

If needs to be done, why, as a community, can't we make it happen?  If there is an issue with being reliant on an "official" build, then build it and let it become the "official" build.  The code is open source for a reason.  You have the "official" code... so when you compile it, you have the "official" build.

I'm sorry if that comes across as harsh, but I'm just getting tired of coming to this thread and reading about people complaining about issues that are either well documented or requests that can easily be handled by the individual themselves.

The problem is that people don't want to put any effort into this.  It's like the welfare nation of crypto.

Notice:

I have found approximately 60-65 accounts that are being used on the pool coming from the same IP addresses (mostly China), using the same wallet payout address.  They all have different emails, usernames, etc.

I believe at this time that this user is exploiting a hack that can be read about here:

https://github.com/MPOS/php-mpos/issues/1072

I have closed registration on Tagmining, and I have deleted all the accounts tied to this user.

POOL OPS:  if you would like the user's information, PM me and I will send you the CSV with the accounts, IP, and addresses the user used.

If anyone has a question or concern, feel free to PM me.

R9 270/270x's, a bunch of them. MSI, Gigabyte, Sapphire, VisionTek, PowerColor.. in that order.

Funny enough, I didn't see any mention of Asus cards...  Tongue

Okey guys.

I had a good talk with my boss and i can stay a  whole year here in austria. Work and rent and energie cost free. Sow that means 2 new miners before april.
Somebody good setup idea??

Score!

With free power?  1600W PSUs with a bajillion R9 290s.

Honestly, though 270/270X rigs are running pretty popular with some of the guys now.  You can run a board's worth on a 1000W PSU.

FYI:

CSRF(email confirmation) has been temporarily disabled to troubleshoot the email issues.

If you haven't set a wallet address or auto payout amount do so at this time.

Wy is your help  button gone?

1 week ago, i heave used the help button, with my question. Still no anser.

Now, i can't registrer my payment adress.

The help button is gone because people, like you, have used it and it obviously isn't working properly.  I don't want people trying to use it, getting frustrated with no response, and then coming here cursing at me and the pool.

I've answered your question in this thread and in PM, twice now.  Is there another issue that you're having?

Fu king scam pool.

Your support buttion is gone.
Wy that?

A week a go i ask for help.
You need to resend the e-mail confirm link.
So i can withdraw my TAG'S.

Yep.  Definitely a scam.  I think you lost all your coins.

OR....

Email confirmation issues:

After the MPOS update, I fixed the issue with site confirmation emails being sent out.  So it works great, with the exception that there are a handful of miners reporting that they are not getting emails.  The majority of the miners have been in EU.  I'm not sure why emails are not going out to them, but the issue has an easy fix for the time being.

If you don't get confirmation/unlock emails, PM me on here with your username, old email address and a new email address I can use to manually change your account in the DB.

I know it's not the most optimal solution, but it works for now until I can find out why this issue is happening.  And like I said, it's been a small percentage of users.

Maybe you should read before you start making yourself look like a fool.  If you PM me your info as outlined in the thread post on this page, I can assist you in your request.

In other news:

Fork and orphans.

Tagmining is on block 39802, and Hashfaster is on block 39760.  Just a heads up.

OK, have send several emails, but since nobody cared to reply, not even after waiting 3 days, I will post it here.

ekylypse is the OP for scryptmining.  Please PM him or post something in the pool thread or the thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=213619.msg2257292

The botnet pool is a Chinese pool.  I don't believe the pool op is very active in this thread, so please PM user innovation for the botpool, or post in the ANN thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320788.0

If you're looking for a solid pool, try tagmining.com, mate.(shameless plug over)

I know I asked this once but as I've now actually got my miner built and am just finishing the software touchs, I was looking at coins to mine.  Tag seems to have had a few problems recently and I was hoping someone more in the know would venture and opinion as to whether Tag is safe going forward and problems are largely over?

Mine it!

BTER is not run by Mark(@Tagbond).  If you're having issues with BTER, contact BTER support.

i have sent over 4-5 Tagcoins from my wallet to BTer and almost a day later it hasn't appeared.. the transaction has over 200 confirmations so wtf is going on?

There have been numerous issues with BTER in the last month or so.  It's not advised to use BTER at this time with TAG, unless someone can verify that is it WAI.

1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: STAR COIN [STR] - The coin with bonus STAR blocks on: February 06, 2014, 02:26:13 AM
STR.CripToe.Com will be shut down Friday.

Do to the underwhelming support for this coin, the pool will be brought down Friday.  I have shut stratum down, and I have set everyone's autopayout threshold to 0.1STR if they had a payout address listed.  There is approximately 1700STR that is sitting in the wallet for users who have not set a wallet address on their account.  Please make sure you edit your account and add your payout address.  If you do not do this by Friday, I will be liquidating the funds into the pool op payout... aka, I will claim them.

Please claim your coins by Friday.

Thanks,

Fuse
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: February 05, 2014, 03:40:47 AM
I recommend using CripToe's pool, after this week of continual ddos attacks he is the only one to stay up, plus there is a block reward bonus and 0% fees

Thanks for the props, mate!

The pool is running at 0% fees right now, but I have suspended the block bonus until after Valentine's Day.  I paid out about 10k POT in block bonuses so far, and I just need to pad the wallet a little to continue the bonus.

Either way... there are plenty of smaller pools to throw some hash rate at, including Pot.CripToe.Com.

I've mentioned it before, but statistically, you will earn more coins per day on a smaller pool than a larger pool.  I'm not sure exactly why, but try for yourself and see.  I typically see at least 10% more profit on pools that are in the 40-100MH range, than pools that are over 100-200MH.  I see this with my TAG pool, which is ranks as the top or second highest hash rate pool in the world for TAG.
