341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 17, 2019, 05:36:45 PM
Now that season has ended I am curious to see any progress on the LA Lakers situation.
Last year it was pretty ba and I want to see if LeBron is going to solve the problems in the team and play a vital role in next season.

NBA will want Lebron and the Lakers to be successful next year because he brings in the high ratings.  Expect most of their current roster t obe gone by the time next season starts.  Lebron is still a top 5 player in the league and it is a major waste of talent for him to not be in the playoffs.
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using crypto to help the homeless - (for real - with pics!) on: June 17, 2019, 05:31:23 PM
This is nice but if I was homeless I would much rather just receive money then I could spend the money on things I most needed.  Despite what you might think not every homeless person is addicted to drugs and alcohol.
343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 5G Has Dual Use As A Weapons System on: June 13, 2019, 05:10:41 PM
I recently heard this breakdown of exactly why this system is a danger that I thought was quite eloquent and does a good job getting past the "conspiracy theory" aura around this discussion and covering factually possible application.

Can it kill mosquitos?

If you have enough antennas up, and enough power, it is literally capable of sterilizing the entire surface of the Earth down to the bacteria. So I would put that down as a yes.

Absolutely terrifying.  And to think at first I thought the headaches I experienced when I was next to my wi-fi router was just a coincidence.  I also stopped microwaving my food, although not sure how much that really matters.
344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price Will be 11,500 by June 2019! on: June 13, 2019, 05:02:56 PM
Its still possible, only a 2k jump from the 0k high we already hit.  With the halvening approaching whales are looking to accumulate more before the prices get out of hand.  Lots of people are really wishing they bought back at 3k Smiley Smiley
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 13, 2019, 04:59:24 PM
What do you guys think of Major League Soccer in the United States?   I know MLS is considered a joke league right now but do you think it will ever be able to rival La Liga or the EPL. Keep in mind that they don't have a regulation system and have more strict salary rules.
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Verification of identity compulsory on transactions over $1000 on: June 13, 2019, 04:53:53 PM
Don't forget that the true power ultimately is with the people.  If enough people refuse to pay taxes and not service the government they have no other option than to obey our wishes.  Shouldn't be complacent but bread and circuses will do that to people.
347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chinese Crypto Trader Committed Suicide ( lesson for all crypto traders ) on: June 13, 2019, 04:47:06 PM
I'm assuming the money was mostly the customer funds instead of his own.  Because that is more than enough money to live off and fulfill most of your dreams.

High leverage is just gambling at its core and the only consistent winners are the leverage platforms.  You never know when a whale will decide to pump or dump the price a quick 10%.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 13, 2019, 04:41:37 PM
If Durant was healthy this whole series Warriors would of already ended the Raptors.  I'm going with the Warriors to win game 6 at home, I'm not going to flat out call the NBA rigged (although previous referee scandals in the past don't look good), the NBA will want this to go game 7 for the revenue.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 12, 2019, 05:36:01 PM
I wanna bet on Mou as the next Chelsea manager.  Take your pick and give me good odds if your pick is Lampard or Benitez or anybody more favored than Mou.

Open to anybody trusted.  20 bucks max from me.

I’m not betting on this, not confident enough. Been seeing rumours that Benitez goes to Chelsea & Newcastle get Mourinho because they’re getting bought out by a Sheikh.

Newcastle United will perhaps become the next Manchester City.  Clubs are buying their way to success and pushing out the old top 4 which have dominated the EPL.  At least its better than seeing Manchester United win every year like in the past.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 12, 2019, 05:28:43 PM
I doubt Durant made any difference in the game at all. He played a total of what 12 minutes? Dude scored couple baskets and that helped them for sure since he carried at least a quarters worth of scoring help plus allowing others to rest for a while but he wasn't the factor that changed the whole game.

Draymond on the other hand played such a great last minutes that dude managed to score a three when Iggy was afraid of shooting and made it, he scored a left hook off balance and helped his team 5 points that way while Kawhi was scoring couple times in a row so he kept the difference close, plus he blocked (lets say his fingers grazed the ball) the last shot so basically even though I hate Draymond dude won them the game.

Draymond is the most underrated player on the Warriors since all the attention goes to Durant, Curry, and Thompson.  Guy is a spectacular all around player and does every little thing to help his team win even though it doesn't all show up on the stat sheet.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After ICO, the tokens sank in price. Why? on: June 12, 2019, 05:21:19 PM
Most projects have no real development and they are just hype.  Developers are in it for a quick profit and as soon as the first pump or exchange listing happens they are exiting.  I don't want to lump every project in the same boat because there are some honest devs out there though.
352  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading crypto vs forex - which is better? on: June 11, 2019, 06:39:40 PM
Forex has too many pros and the trading margins are razor thin.  Crypto trading can be quite profitable with how volatile it is and it hasn't been totally saturated yet by professional traders yet.    Trading overall though is a losing game for most people.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your definition of shitcoin? on: June 11, 2019, 06:32:55 PM
Bitcoin will never hit $1M b/c it doesn't have the right economic nor developer infrastructure that is required to hit that kinda of valuation.

The Bitcoin protocol is 'stuck' in ideology. A 1st gen of the past. No tech in history has ever hit mainstream w/ that type of design.

Dash is in front in many aspects, but the volume is too low yet. When people start to realize $dash as the best alternative we will skyrocket from 0.018btc to 0.1 in few weeks. DASH is Digital Cash!

 Roll Eyes

Everyone has a right to their own opinion but most people on this forum believe the only coin that is needed is Bitcoin. Lightning network is yet to take off and it is unclear whether that will really help with the scaling issue or not.
354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Las Vegas Shooting - Witness Saw More Than One Shooter on: June 11, 2019, 06:30:02 PM
The term conspiracy has become associated with crazy people.  People laugh when they heard the word conspiracy because of stupid things like flat earth.

Really don't hear much at all about the Vegas shooting or the Colorado theater shooting, still hear more about George Zimmerman.  I'm not sure what to say about those witnesses because during mass panic like that your only concern is to survive and hide and you aren't really looking around and observing things clearly.
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Begins to Be Used in the Football Industry on: June 11, 2019, 06:19:42 PM
For them, this is just another way to get more money. I guess that they are instantly converting their coins to fiat via something like BitPay and none of those people is holding any significant amount of coins (even if they get that much crypto payments).
Soccer teams are already sponsored by many financial organizations (including shady ones) like banks or forex brokers. Football teams do not care that much about activities of their sponsors so it is not a surprise to see crypto project among them.

I know and I don't see why people are making such a big deal about it. It would be a lot different if they were actually holding their revenue in crypto but they are definitely keeping everything in fiat money.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Provably fair slots exist? on: June 11, 2019, 06:16:21 PM
They may not be rigged but slots are notorious for having the worst odds among casino games.  Experienced gamblers stick with games like blackjack and leave slots up to the newbies.  Slots are usually used as a way to lure people into their casinos, online casinos give out free spins and real life casinos stick slot machines in their lobby.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 10, 2019, 05:47:38 PM
This era has really soft players, I doubt Michael Jordan would be sitting out the Finals with a minor injury like that.  Durant was never a  fighter though, that is why he left the Thunder and joined the Warriors in the first place.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty campain with ETH or BTC payment ? on: June 10, 2019, 05:42:45 PM
All you have to do id find a service that is in high demand and offer to trade your time for btc.  There are many people in the services section paying bitcoin for things like graphic design or coding.  Never give up and it may be slow at first but once you get more experienced and make good connections you'll be happy.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Officially Confirmed Their Coin! White Paper To be Out This Month! on: June 10, 2019, 05:36:21 PM
IT doesn't look like this will even be a real cryptocurrency like bitcoin.  It will just be a centralized system of sending information without a real blockahin that has censorship resistance.  It will be completely controlled by Zuckerberg and Facebook, I'm staying the hell away from this.
360  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what are the things to consider when looking for a good exchange? on: June 10, 2019, 05:29:21 PM
Good exchanges also has a good reputation based from the trader or user community this includes no scam accusations, no hacking incidents, no malicious activities like funds disappearing, best security practices applied and most of all a good exchange has a huge volume which may satisfy a buyer or a seller to make transactions faster and easier and more convenient.

Even exchanges with a good reputation have been "hacked: and stolen money from their customers.  No matter how reputable an exchange is the coins aren't truly yours unless you hold the private keys yourself.
