I will sure miss your informative posts znort...

What do you guys think about the future prospects of this project?

I think it will get better when you navigate away to the Litecoin forums and don't ever come back. Roll Eyes

Then only problem with your vertical inversion of the coin is that the perspective isn't right and looks odd lol
I did try that, but it didn't look good Wink

EDIT: New version

Look at how the world map resembles the B of Bitcoin Wink

Dude, I just hope the death penalty still exists in the state where that happened and all those cops die on the electric chair.

To serve and protect, my ass...
3424  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] CoinWorker.com beta - earn bitcoin in minutes via tasks in browser on: July 09, 2012, 02:25:40 PM
It would be a good idea to pay the remaining sums. If there are no jobs, can I get my 97 points paid?
My name at coinworker is: blueshoe
Was a lot of work.
Yeah I'd like my address paid too if possible, as I will no longer be using the service

And 3 with me. 147 points stuck there, no work to do to reach 200.
3425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SETI and Bitcoin on: July 09, 2012, 02:11:17 PM
Don't worry. Even educated persons can be dumb and not see things like they truly are.

I met a dentist the other day(who happens to think he's also a trader) that told me that Bitcoin is a bubble...
Then he started talking about his trading habits and I came to discover he only invests on the stock market and uses his bank. You know, he calls the bank today, they sell his stocks some other day, if he's lucky on the same day, charging a hefty fee Roll Eyes

After all that I'm surprised he even knew Bitcoin existed lol

About that SETI thread: Is the OP there saying he wants to start mining with NVIDIA cards, or those GTX 680/690 he talks about are something else? lol
3426  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Theory on what pirateat40 is doing on: July 09, 2012, 01:59:06 PM
Tldrifyed: An individual of profession, in order of probable probability, live poker player, carpenter doing some business on the side on weekends, drug dealer or bank robber, has got too much physical cash, and wants to convert his pile into a more legal form, preferably in the bank account of his legitimate business or possibly offshore. He makes a transaction with Mr P, who in turn makes a note in his books about selling bitcoins OTC to an unnamed customer, since KYC requirements is not needed for transactions not involving currency conversion, and btc is not currency as we all know. That the three letter requirement is unneeded is of course in the grey zone, but that's why he's hired a lawyer, making sure not to break any rules, just bend them. As soon as the cash is in the bank, a wire is sent to the individual, aka. Mr A, with the aforementioned profession's tax-paying account, and pays with the very same bitcoins that he bought before, getting a nice sum of about 90% of the former deal. The remaining 10% of the cash goes to mtgox and is swiftly converted into btc. A's got fresh smelling money in the bank, for which he payed 10%, and can now buy cars ans houses. P's got 10% more BTC. The market's got some less BTC, equivalent to 10 and not 100% of the total operation, which is convenient, since it is then easy when holding ten times that to put up a few walls of another kind than those Mr A crafts on weekends to stabilize the rate and not risk too much during the few hours he's in fiat. With P's background as CEO of TLP, Mr O's tool slides right off the stubble.

This makes zero sense. From the outside this looks like Mr A sent some money to Mr P and then Mr P sent 90% of it back. Is this your idea of money laundering?

What part of PHYSICAL CASH didn't you understand, dumbfuck?
3427  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Freecoiner.org on: July 09, 2012, 01:45:00 PM

I prefer the upside-down map to the mirror-image map.

If I kept it upside down like Phinn said it would overlap the hole or leave antartica overflowing the coin.
Had to put it like that so it would fit.

Ofcourse, others may do better. I only made it for fun.

3429  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous Instant Reloadable VISA card on: July 09, 2012, 10:11:17 AM
The card arrived today as registered mail. I couldn't accept it as I dont want the postman to register my identity card when i ordered an anonymous card.
So the card will be returned to sender  Embarrassed

Dude, you realise that DeanC already has your identity, right? The mail registration has nothing to do with the card or connected to it in any way...

Makomk deserves most of the love, but if there's any left over you can send it to 165YUuQUWhBz3d27iXKxRiazQnjEtJNG9g .  Smiley

.cpp and .h are C source code.  Your wallet should just be called wallet.dat.  It will usually be in /home/<username>/.bitcoin .

Just to add a little detail. If you can't find the .bitcoin directory on your home dir press CTRL+H to unhide it Wink

This is a test post to see if I'm no longer a Newbie though my status states that I still am. I have a feeling that I'm on probation.

Al is on his paper. By the way, why are we conversing in Phin's diary?

I dunno. I'm just on my usual Alpaca Stalking mode...
3432  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want the hell outta here!!! on: July 09, 2012, 09:30:35 AM
We need an alpaca lobby to get theymos to add alpacas to the bitcoin profile pics choices  Cheesy

Whos with meeee?

I support this motion.

Just gather some alpaca avatars, zip them and send them to theymos. I'm sure he'll gladly add them to the forum Smiley

3434  Economy / Goods / Re: High End Fashion on: July 09, 2012, 08:41:02 AM
Hello All!

As you might know from other friends, I'm pretty well connected to the high-fashion world.

I was wondering- would people considering buying top brands or really exclusive brands and other expensive clothing items with BTC? I can even sell luxury items like VERTU phones for BTC. Is the BTC market ready for something like this yet?

I am curious to hear peoples thoughts. Of course we will get there eventually, so let me know what you think.

cheers!

Call me crazy, but this kind of niche business is what Bitcoin needs, IMO.

Welcome to BitcoinTalk, Al. I've heard a lot about you. How's Vicente's show coming along?

~Bruno~

If you're willing to vouch for this poor alpaca, I could let it out the zoo. Wink
Unless it's the same with Freecoiner, and you don't want to let it out just yet.

I think you're misunderstanding... If you whitelist the alpaca you're allowing it to go into the zoo, not get out of the zoo lol

site:bitcointalk.org <search string>

We should probably sticky that somewhere.  Most regulars of any messageboard know that you can search it through Google but newbies are often unaware of that.

The search works fine. People are just lazy...

I think part of the problem is that people don't know that if you are in a subforum and search only that subforum is searched.
Pressing the "Search" link on the header to take me to search page and choosing on which forums to search works pretty well for me.
3437  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 5BTC bounty for best new website logo. Now a 10BTC bounty!!! on: July 08, 2012, 11:51:52 PM
What if we don't want to sign up for another website? Is this project still open?

Just leave it. This bounty is like their tablet competition. It will never end, thus nobody wins lol
Now I better shut up, or else I'll be labeled a stalker Grin

PSY i find you EVERYWHERE I post LOL.

That's because I'm stalking you...

3439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Putting your money where Pirate's mouth is. on: July 08, 2012, 10:55:45 PM
Too bad you only realised that after putting 5000 BTC on the line.
I think he was talking about people flaming around happily and doubt it changes the outcome of the bet. Surely massive amounts of people believing in pirateat40 has an effect, but as long as you dont find exponentially more people to join your voyage into oblivion then the scheme will still die soon.

Who the hell is trying to get more people to join "our voyage into oblivion"?

You and the other Russian dude did more of that than any of Pirate's current investors.

(OK, I will give that to you: those PPT bonds should've never existed)
