How come no one wants to rent ChartBuddy's signature?

There are no signatures in these here parts and ChartBuddy only threads treads here.

X (Twitter ) Ensures that the SEC account has been compromised and that two-factor authentication is not enabled on the account.

Is it legal, that twitter announced an account has no 2FA?

I doubt it - they're just explaining the "hack" or "lack of hack" since their system was implicated.  What I don't understand is how does the phone number come into play?  How was the phone used rather than the normal email/password login method if 2fa was not enabled?  Did the "hacker" send a text to Elon and say "I forgot both my email and my password, please let me disseminate critically important trading info to the general public immediately"?

I'm not an expert but how... how they knew @SECGov tweet is fake?

Did Gary Gensler called the investors first before tweet it to the public?

https://twitter.com/therationalroot/status/1744858615993815428

I'm no expert either but maybe some shorts got wrecked on the way up and other traders thought it was due to investors selling the news and decided to get out and sit on the sidelines to watch it play out?
364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 09, 2024, 11:16:04 PM
Hold on a second! But how do we know this Gary's account is not compromised?

Maybe the tweet about the fake tweet is actually fake itself?  Grin

OT: something completely "bonkers"...in UK, a mouse is tidying the shed of a guy (check the video!).

He needs to come up with some "cheese payment" pronto  Cheesy.
Maybe this is an OCD mice or just has nothing else to do?

That is hilarious.  I need one of those Smiley

had to make it this small to fit the data size limits for images - 2X readers help a lot Smiley

Something's happening...

Pump in progress!  Cheesy

$45k touched.

We don't want $45k touched, we want $45k raped ripped  Grin Cool

EDIT: Grayscale fees  Cheesy Tongue

I have a couple of shares of The Bitcoin Fund (3iQ) ticker symbol QBTC on the TSX where management fees are %1.95.  Maybe this will push them to lower the fees.  Initially, they were %2.5 and my first though was how half of the held bitcoin would be eaten up by fees in 20 years but since they were TFSA eligible, I figured I'd be saving the taxes I would have had to pay on the profits and the TFSA doesn't allow for bitcoin self-custody (yet).   Also, there are no comparable assets to bitcoin and I don't want to be that bitebits guy rolling in fiat reserves from his McDonalds gig Tongue

Got a little ahead of myself with cygan's cap and forgot about the rollercoaster guy.  He's had more free mods than Jimbo now! Smiley

This week will be epic both for Bitcoin and me! The long awaited ETF will be a fact by Wednesday. On that day I will receive the keys of my new home. The next day my super computer will arrive. On the day after I will get 1Gb optical internet. Not to mention my new job, where I quickly became a boss. And the city is so nice and developed, I fell in love with it. The only bit missing in this puzzle is the price 130K+, when I intend to pay off my mortgage in full Grin Grin Grin

Congratulations.  Seems as though you and bitcoin are mooning at the same time!  It's nice to see someone succeed in life - thanks for sharing Smiley

I admit that I have had periods when these things tempted me as a substitute for real sex. VR in particular is a pretty good alternative to the dangers of infection, extortion, theft, and similar problems in the real world. But I don't like any of the current models. I like the older generation beauties like Cassia Riley. Besides, I'm far from my 20s, and to be honest I've been more interested in the cooking channels recently. There are so many amazing meals served in the hundreds of restaurants in this city, which I will  explore in the years to come.

You could still be in for the age-old issues of infection, extortion and theft but on a different level and at a much faster pace.

Very nice!
One comment- in avatar size bitcoin word is not very clear, although it is great on original.
I wonder if it is possible to increase contrast somehow (when it is an avatar size)?

Thanks for the tip!  Is this better?

....

....I’ve never had coffee. I did have a neighbor growing up who used to drink his coffee with mushrooms in the morning. .....

Do you live on another planet?

Some people cannot consume caffeinated drinks and decaffeinated coffee is largely meaningless, imho.
I did not drink coffee regularly until my 20ies; I have a cup daily now, but not more.
Many younger adults I know (family and their friends) don't drink coffee either...some prefer Dr. Pepper (it's a Texas "thing", mostly, but i saw it at a convenience store in London, surprisingly). If you see it-give it a try as it tastes differently from Coca-cola and Pepsi.

Oh crap. You beat my deletion. I was just being my normal asshat self, lol.

A few years ago, I took a shortcut while making a hat for cygan.  I looked and looked for his original avatar in a large enough size to work with but the largest image was only 80X80 px and the square patch on the hat is about 250X250 px.  Never having seen a 1 Deutsche mark coin before, I didn't know the basis for the "bitcoin" he was using - I thought it was an image of a collectible but I coudn't find it anywhere.  Fast forward to today and after a couple of PMs I was enlightened.  I asked him if the 1994 on the coin had any significance and he said "No" and suggested that 2009 would be more appropriate.

This is what he used to use:

and here's the new coin I minted today because as you know, there were no Deutsche marks minted after ~2001 (it can never be easy):

and subsequently placed on a newly constructed original:

Here's another configurable, free countdown timer you can display as an image which gives you 20k impressions/mo

You can't import API data even on paid account (from what I can see) but you can get rid of the branding by paying $10 a month for an account which also gives you 100k impressions and configurable languages.

How do y'all take your coffee when chart watching?
I usually do a sugar and splash or milk/heavy whipping cream but Im out of sugar!  So I did manage to find a bag of brown sugar and tried it. To my surprise it pairs well!

Oh yeah, brown sugar is really nice in coffee.

1 House boy knows that he's doing alright
You shoulda heard him just around midnight
Brown sugar how come you taste so good, now?...

Explanation
Chartbuddy thanks talkimg.com

Who runs ChartBuddy?

I am planning to run my own bot in a similar way, and I have some questions about how to log with a bot. I am have problems with captcha!

Log in with the account you run the bot from and use this link (you'll see it on the login screen too) https://bitcointalk.org/captcha_code.php
Then you can log in with a code and bypass captcha.

Snip
So I didn't read your post right off (it's a thought provoking image after all) and got all kinds of excited thinking you found a way to realtime that gif 😂
Untill I saw the counter reset, then I read the post.
Long story short I wanted to make a signature that displayed an accurate block countdown on page refresh/block find and I thought you had it.

There is a way - a bit Mickey Mouse though because I don't have want to share my web server (opsec).

without the background

https://img1.niftyimages.com/nr6h/cu6i/qhv5  *3 opens per view is killing my 10,000 free opens fast so I removed image tags from the no background version.

I just used a best-guess date for the halvening and a free countdown timer.  You can sign up here and you'll get 10,000 image opens on the free plan.
The timer is fairly customizable - I added the background image but you don't have to... I'm not sure exactly how large an image you could put in your sig though... maybe use it without the image and resize the fonts?

 edit:

Also, you can get JSON formatted data with all the pertinent block info for free here:

 https://api.blockchair.com/tools/halvening

and enter that as a source at niftyimages which will enable you to grab info such as "blocks_left"

I set that one to update the JSON info every 15 5 minutes.

last edit: JSON updating every 5 minutes

one final edit: with only 10k opens and each version taking 1 open per view, the math is killing the freebie account quickly.  Paying for API access would cost over 9000 per year. (no joke, its $9,120 billed annually)

Happy birthday, Bitcoin!

Sorry I'm a little late but I had some trouble with VLC on win10 and a 4k TV - it would only capture a 1920x1080 portion of the entire frame, VSDC - steeeeeep learning curve, EZGif.com - which would not play with me and my original mpg file and talkimg.com - just being finicky so I used postimages.org.  Been a tough day all around starting with the tankening... thankfully, both Bitcoin and I are recovering nicely Smiley

Kudos to https://www.thehalvening.com/ for the coolest halving web page which I used extensively to create the animated gif above.
