So went down to the local bitcoin ATM to pick up a thousand in either litecoin or bitcoin. First the owner changed and now it only does BTC. Second their fucking buy price was $14,600 and sell price of $18,500. Fuck you does not begin to describe my thoughts on this matter :-)
Maybe it's time to go get a real exchange account tied to a real bank and passport and a sample of my nutter butter. For a US cit, what's the valid options these days?
Privacy isn't free, either provide your DNA sample or be inconvenienced. Is localbitcoin still a thing?

That's not a bet. ATH before 01 01 2021 could be a challenging question, but 2022. Phhhh.

We are nearly low enough to pick up my rogue bitcoin. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Up or down from here? Down before up, if BTC resumes rocket mode. If BTC hangs out or drifts /drops down, I think up down then up. Either way, I'm not sure we're done with the down part. Hang on Globb0, I think you still can get it back. Maybe even with a cherry on top Do not take my wild conjecture as prescience

Does he not realize that counting ballots actually takes time?
... I've always wondered why in all the democratic world it is only Democrat inner-city US counties that take forever to count their vote? ... they have more people so should be able to count faster ... or? are they stupider? why do they always delay their vote count? do you not find that strange? Yep. most places are ready to call it before voting is even closed. But it sounds like they don't actually close the voting at any specific point. Which is fine, since I don't think pets and dead people care about schedules.

After all the speculation, finally we know where the coins were moved. To the Justice Department's wallet. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Breaking: solvency of the United States of America tied to the fate of Bitcoin. Or: USA solvent again ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) I can't help but wonder, how do they work at the Justice Department: do they use a cold wallet, or a Ledger, or do they have a Coinbase account under the name of "United States of America Justice Department"? More like employees 'lose' it in a boating accident, and take early retirement.

Geez another lame attempt to knock it down and another immediate bounce back over $15k.
Hope they're enjoying losing money.
There needs a seller for every buyer. Just say Thank You.

This will be a really nice streak to break. If we stay hot we break the streak on Dec. 2, 2020 so 2020-12-02 here we come. Perhaps the obvious eludes me; what is the significance of 12,584?

I moved the 4200 worth of btc I earned Since July 1 to coinbase. And selling it off in 200 usd pieces. As price goes up.
Those short term gains tax penalty, tho... most of it goes to income and taxed as this in his case anyway, probably (since it was mined). cap gains are only on the difference between at what price btc was when he mined it and the sell price. I don't know US tax law, but it is a business (mining) so may be some benefits to offset there too.
