Pump and dump is unrelated to how good or bad the features of a coin are. It is often perpetuated by the creators who have more of it than the average user, or a group of users with capital to buy a large amount of the coin. Once they have enough of the coin, they push up the market prices further, convincing the average user and potential investors that the coin is gaining value due to its merit. Once everyone invests in the coin and decides to hold, the huge investors or the creators of the coin bail out and dump the coin.
The main reason few altcoins take off is the abundance of alts. When there are so many alts, it is hard to find a new alt that will make all the difference. Distributing it to more people may help, but only if the more people actually take notice of the coin.

PoS encourages hoarding rather than using the currency. This means that the biggest users don't necessarily want to use their coin to see uncertain growth, the natural growth of their coins through staking is enough. PoW, on the other hand, usually means that the currency has to be sold to break even with electricity and miner costs. The mintpal hack: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/mintpal-gets-hacked-pos-vericoin-fork-result/ showed another problem of PoS coins. It is a lot easier to suddenly out of nowhere spring up with a large amount of PoS coins that you've been buying, the exchanges are fairly open. On the other hand, suddenly creating mining power to disrupt the Bitcoin network seems harder. So overall, I think the weaknesses of PoS are that by very design, it seems counter-intuitive to community growth and also, it can be dominated more easily if one centralized party holds lots of coins at any point, as compared to PoW where it is not as easy to gain control of the hashing power.

How much is international shipping and what are your discount rates? I'm interested so long as the method of how you get the discount is legitimate and legal.
I've edited the main post. Shipping is free worldwide for orders bigger than $5. Discount will be discussed in private since it's different for each order. I can't tell you exactly the method by which I get my discounts, but I can tell that the books aren't shipped directly by me but by legitimate bookstores. I'm more of a middleman looking to make few money. Scammer alert - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1133109.msg11960431#msg11960431With escrow accepted, I see no problem dealing with a scammer. The red trust will have clued in most people already. There's a (low) chance that he may use the funds he earns to do good, so I don't really have a problem of dealing with a scammer as long as it is safe.

Just letting you guys know. Buy and sell steam accounts at your own risk. It's not legal to buy accounts. Your account might get suspended. Buying, Selling, or Trading Accounts Accounts which have been bought, sold or traded will be suspended. This includes any other accounts in your possession at the time of the sale or trade, regardless of whether those accounts were also sold or not . https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=5406-WFZC-5519OP see those emboldened words Additionaly, if this account is not his and has been stolen, it may be retrieved, further increasing the chance of losing the account. Proving you own a Steam account is hard. And retrieving it if you have payment details is easy.

You will sell your account?
I think you will redeem from the code. By covering taxes, I think the user is referring to the marketplace method of transfer. 1- The buyer of the funds lists an item with near no value on the steam marketplace for the amount (60 EUR) 2- The seller of the funds spends all the funds buying the 60 EUR item. 3- 60 EUR (minus 15% fees) get sent to the buyer of the funds, and the seller gets a near worthless item. (Often, the seller provides the worthless item in a trade too)

I'll buy it all if you are willing to go first, or are willing to use an escrow. I'll pay the escrow fees of any well known escrow. PM me here and add me on steam. (I'll be able to respond and perform the transaction faster if you PM me here)

To prove that you're actually the owner of that steam account (and not an impersonator), please sign a timestamped message with the following Bitcoin address: 1J7TXxhNLHXoaDRwxrHwnwBqfCFtK2cMuY It is listed on your steam profile. If you don't know how to sign an address with Coinbase, check the Coinbase Support thread here. You could add and verify with your steam account too, but this would need to be repeated multiple times.

Are the prices in Bitcoin or USD?
0.01$ seems really cheap for a Netflix account, so cheap that the blockchain fees would be higher than the price. Are you sure you didnt mean 0.01 BTC, which is around 3$?
yes it`s 3$ for an account Edit the original post then, as it is still wrong Instead of: Netflix: $0.01
DIRECTV : $0.07 You meant to write: Netflix: 0.01 BTC
DIRECTV : 0.07 BTC

I need the account but your method of getting the subscriptions is practically unknown and your rank is not high enough to win my trust.
Costs 32$ per year if you get it from here: https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/rejoin-vpn-subscriptionOP offers it for a few dollars cheaper, you can directly buy it using the rejoin link if you want to do it officially though.

http://www.coindesk.com/That is the best source of news if you're looking for Bitcoin news. (imo) Most recent news shown there is the Nasdaq CEO hinting at blockchain projects. Otherwise, just google "Bitcoin News" and click the news tab. You'll get Bitcoin related news from most sources.

ill say it first, this is an absolutely terrible idea imo, it would cause this forum to become a cesspool of begging spam and would just make more work for the mods. "tip pls" "click tip me" "pls need $$$"
you think people complain a lot about signatures? imagine the complaints that would come against the tip button.
Well, tbh, that is pretty much as easy to do as asking for donations to your BTC address. I don't think it would be spammed much if mods just ban them. My main problem with this is that the messages would add more spam and that the changetip feature wouldn't be much different than addresses. I don't see how begging for a tip would be different from begging for a tip and posting an address.

whether logged in 2 ip simultaneously also prohibited, and could cause our account banned?
As far as I know, no that is not a reason for being banned. It's just that if your account is banned, both those IPs will be banned.

So, this is the most obtuse way ever, but from a browser game with around 200-300 players at the time, called Minethings. They accepted Bitcoin, and had a link with "What is Bitcoin" and all that. It's strange how a community of 200-300 people (probably lesser active) introduced me to a community of millions. If anyone is looking to check it out: minethings.comEDIT: And they even have a subforum called Bitcoin!

Crux of the issue is using multiple accounts to claim giveaways. I see it a lot, never really cared before, not sure why I'd start now.
Well, if Stunna cares, can't he appropriately note so in his trust and let other users know that he doesn't trust EAL? If other users feel the same, they could care too and give EAL negative trust. It isn't fair to hold one user to a higher standard than other users and single them out just because they also volunteer their time to help moderate the forum (if it's true). Though it is something I would keep in mind about a person if I saw it.
It seems more like a violation of a site's TOS, than a scam, and not really deserving of negative trust. If that deserves negative trust, then so do people who abuse dropbox referrals, or buy Facebook/youtube likes and views, pay people for using their referral links, buy and use .edu mails to get discounts on whatever, etc. All these actions harm the company or other users in some way.
Well, wouldn't Stunna be justified to find someone abusing the ToS of PD untrustworthy? Not saying that it is a scam, but if the trust system is about trust, wouldn't Stunna be justified to give negative trust?

Satoshi theymos Kluge OgNasty SebastianJu Vod John (John K.) Maidak Tomatocage SaltySpitoon BadBear DiamondCardz Stunna monbux Blazedout419 devthedev marcotheminer redsn0w MICRO Quickseller
I'd put the entire staff list before some of the people you've listed. MICRO? Sure, he's an active and contributing member. But I'd definitely say hilariousandco would be have contributed more the the forums, modding Marketplace and having over 15k posts. Not attempting to deride MICRO, but just showing how it would be impossible to create a list without missing out people. admins, staff members, mods etc was automatically in the list of the most contribute. there is no reason why, because we all know why. That is poor justification of why the 'list' has missed out most staff, because quite a few Staff members are on the list! i'll add them to the list, would be great if you explain the reason so people here will get to know why. Smiley
Nobody on the existing list has a "reason" either. Also, are there ever going to be fixed criteria? Or can everyone be added on some slight merit.

*snip* Because then you might as well just have a bitcoin:address link in sigs or on profiles. The main feature of changetip is its a social and public appreciation.
Well, that directly goes against *snip* Only showed for a minimum amount ($?). If they're annoying, they can be ignored, or even set as default ignored by everyone.
Default ignored would mean that it has no public appreciation, atleast not among most. Similarly, minimum amount would lock out a large amount of the tips from acting towards the "main feature".

I guess you would report one comment that is the archetype of the replies to the thread and note in the report message that the rest of the thread is remove worthy too. To be honest, I'm not sure about the extent to which they will be removed. Most questions are answered in that manner, with no original thought after the first page.
A possible solution could be (another) Gambling sub-forum dedicated to discussing gambling rather than announcements. It used to be better when the Gambling forum would serve as a catalogue of the different gambling sites rather than cluttered with sports picks (whose only replies are "thanks for the picks", "why did you pick wrong !?") and answers to questions like the one you've shown.

I can't find the other post either, the one you quoted. Is it still there? Because there is a good chance that both of you were off-topic.
You've asked us to figure out why it was deleted without context (the thread maybe).
