361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for a particular VIP Signal group on: February 29, 2024, 04:57:41 PM
That's too risky to find a VIP signal group that asks for a subscription most of them are scams.
Why not just stay on the exchange/trading group I mostly stay there like in the Binance group asking for some potential coins/tokens to invest some people there give you more insight about the project if they can't provide a good insight then don't just invest.
Also, take note of some group of pump and dump that call themselves a VIP signal group but the fact is they will use you to invest in a shitcoin that will drop later because they sell.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why is the RPC explorer failing to connect to the Bitcoin Core in myNode ? on: February 29, 2024, 04:30:58 PM
What's your current config in your Bitcoin.conf file? Did you set up RPC and enable it?

Based on the logs it seems it's a connection refused. Would you mind to replace this BTCEXP_HOST=0.0.0.0 with BTCEXP_HOST=127.0.0.1 and then replace localhost with the local IP of your node like 192.168.1.1 then use this command to restart the explorer.

Code:
sudo systemctl restart btc-rpc-explorer

If the error still persists try the other configuration posted below.

363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pangolin on: February 28, 2024, 08:17:44 PM
This token is above the top 300 marketcap since most crypto are increasing wild now there is still a chance that this token will bounce back but we are not sure.
This token is not so popular I never heard of this but if I were you if you already made a profit secure the amount that you invested and only play with your profit and do a reverse DCA so that you don't lose the opportunity to get more profit if it fluctuates again.

You should also have a backup plan if ever it doesn't fluctuate you can sell it right away or if you believe it still have a chance that this token will bounce back then gradually sell it so that if it bounces back you still have a few tokens in your hands that you can exchange later if you made a profit.

Such a good post but the problem is this is not related to Bitcoin or any crypto I think you can bring this to off topic instead.

367  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon 920p error occur when i turn on the fourth device on: February 28, 2024, 03:41:58 PM
frist , thx for reply

I don't have a circuit breaker for the entire circuit but each device has an power switch breaker 16 amp
My electricity is 220 volts
I have electricity directly from the National Home Electricity Company

I think try to configure all the units first to static and maybe it is just an IP conflict that causes this issue or one of the units has the same Mac address. We do not sure but try it first.

If it doesn't work then you might need to consider hiring a professional electrician for inspection or to investigate why you've experienced some power outages and to ensure the safety of your units and your home.
If each of your units is working fine that's the best thing you need to do because a professional electrician can help address electrical issues.
368  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19k pro firmware 2024-02-21 upgrade stopped mining on: February 28, 2024, 11:02:02 AM
Why did you update it to the new firmware? if it's working fine?

Anyway, there is an SD card recovery image would you mind to try flashing the unit through the SD card? You can download the TF card image from the link below.

Update here if the issue is fixed or not.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I search for such Altcoins on CMC or CoinGecko? on: February 27, 2024, 09:10:59 PM
You mean the phone apps has more search filters in compared to its desktop browser versions?

The app itself on the phone does not have the option to filter the date or year you want the only things you can see there are top 100, top 300, and recently added.

You can use the recently added since what you looking for is 2023/2024 and it is the same as in the browser that's the only option. Sorting or filtering a date in Coingecko is not available.

On the CMC app and in the browser there's no option for the date even in customize.

Why not just use the recently added instead?

370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Old mining wallet on: February 27, 2024, 05:59:26 PM
I think it's possible to recover the data but you can't get it for free you need to bring the unit a professional recovery specialist who can directly access the nand IC where the data were saved before.
Usually, people who can do that are those who have jTag tools like phone technicians or any phone recovery services.
I'm that's not cheap or even buying this jtag tools its too expensive and you don't know how to operate it. So your only option is to hire a professional for a data service.

Another option I think is by rooting the unit and use some recovery app to recover deleted data I do not know if it will work on formatted units and also not all units are can able to rooted so it depends on what unit model you have.
371  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon 920p error occur when i turn on the fourth device on: February 27, 2024, 05:33:31 PM
Did you plug all these units into a single outlet with an extension?
Also, take note of how many amps can handle your wall outlet or your current circuit.

Here's the specs of this unit that I found on google

Code:
Hashrate: 19TH/s (RTHS) (-3%~+7%)
Power Consumption: ≈ 1710W, +0% ~ +20% (with 94% PSU efficiency @ 25°C)
Controller: AvalonMiner Controller (sold separately)
AUC3: Each AUC3 may connect up to 5 devices. (sold separately)

Dimensions: 378 mm x 170 mm x 155 mm
Gross Dimensions: 430 mm x 240 mm x 230 mm
Air-intake Temperature: -5 °C to 30°C
Net weight: 4.7 kg

Noise: 65dB

Power consumption is around 1700w so each unit requires a 10amp outlet since you have 4 units you should have around 40amp in your circuit to run these units normally because if below 40amp you may experience a power outage just like what you experienced.
372  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to mine on a chromebook on: February 27, 2024, 04:21:46 PM
Chromebook is a laptop so no, you can't it can't handle mining Bitcoin even if it's a supercomputer or laptop you need ASIC units to be able to mine Bitcoin.

373  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Sent BTC to old address of Electrum wallet app, doesnt sync but is online on: February 27, 2024, 03:46:34 PM
When I use a seed phrase and import to a new wallet or whqt do you call it, I mean when using the seed phrase and using it once to be restored, if i then in this newly restored wallet, if I tap to show seed, should it show a new seed phrase or the old seed phrase? It shows the old seed phrase. I dont know if that matters but I am holding onto hope since I am indeed getting the correct balances but I am not getting shown the address of my over 2 months old transactions.

The scam link he wanted me to visit which I did not was: bit pulse portal .com
Honestly, I'm confused once you restore the seed phrase to Electrum wallet the seed phrase that you import should the same when you tap the show seed in your Electrum mobile wallet it shouldn't generate a different address incase if it generates a new seed phrase it means you are using a fake Electrum wallet.

Since you said that after you import the seed phrase to the newly installed Electrum and the old transactions and balance show up you shouldn't be worried it means the funds you looking for are still in your wallet.

You should be able to see all of your addresses when you click the wallet on the top-left> addresses/coins tap the show used.
If you can't still find the address you looking for maybe that address you looking for with the last 3 letters "gns" is not yours?

Why do you worry if you already see that your wallet has an old balance?
374  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Sent BTC to old address of Electrum wallet app, doesnt sync but is online on: February 27, 2024, 01:10:49 PM
I restored the wallet from the seed phrase in electrum after someone on reddit telling me to. He also asked me to install trust wallet from the Android app store, which I did. Then he told me to visit a website I will not name, but after googling the website it said it has been up for less than a month so I never clicked the link. I have 2 wallets in my electrum app and they are the same wallet with the same balance. But I can not send any btc? Did me downloading the trust wallet fuck me?

Here are some screenshots.

https://ibb.co/k57zKsx
https://ibb.co/vzyCG4c
https://ibb.co/k6ZTT9m

See anything weird? I updated the electrum app after I made the payment from the other site to my wallet.

What link he provide can you post it here so that we know if it is a phishing site or not?

The bad thing you did is that you installed the trust wallet and the Electrum seed phrase is not compatible with any wallet. If you imported this seed phrase to other wallets like trustwallet it's not safe anymore.

Under this image

I noticed something weird it seems you have lots of multiple wallets?
Maybe you did miss the real wallet that you looking for? the wallet that includes the address with the end "gns" better check all other wallets by clicking that wallet pointed on the image and click other wallets. I suggest check  them one by one and look for your address.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who was Satoshi Nakamoto? on: February 27, 2024, 12:13:17 PM
I don't think so no one could provide evidence of who is Satoshi and honestly anyone can be Satoshi they can create their own story from the information available on the internet and use that to fool other people that they are Satoshi Nakamoto.

Unless the admin and co-admin of this forum who are the first people who spoke with Satoshi confirmed that this man is Satoshi Nakamoto but it's not and I'm sure if Satoshi is alive or not he does not want his life to be in public and don't want to be chase by the government.
376  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Sent BTC to old address of Electrum wallet app, doesnt sync but is online on: February 27, 2024, 11:15:03 AM
Could you reveal that  btc address? Both trx you have provided (fea2cb06bdef0d15f710e2130d5938deb1176829a5375625a14b51861f108128   and 0a11177e7aa80e8729b6c1f31a90a7449a8b6ac06c4cf537e66d1f4b2a3ad265) are batch transactions (likely from some exchange)  that don't have at least two similar destinations addresses.

If you are 100%  sure in putting the correct address at sending you may consult support of that exchange asking them to explain the discrepancy in their transaction.

Here's the address he talking about bc1q9eyqmvqn9qxedza7sxx6v3tjkk8xjqr7lf7gns with the end gns but it does not show this address on the 2nd transaction.

@OP do you have a backup seed phrase of your old wallet?
If you have then try to restore your wallet and maybe the wallet you currently use is different from the old wallet you use.
377  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitforex.com goes offline after 55 million withdrawal on: February 26, 2024, 08:36:55 PM
I tried to check the Bitforex telegram group but they blocked all members from posting or messaging on the group.

I found something on Google and according to him, there were 1.5m worth of withdrawals from different Bitforex hot wallets to a single address look at the image below.

It seems they take down the site and run the customer's funds.
378  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitforex.com goes offline after 55 million withdrawal on: February 26, 2024, 07:51:52 PM

Support pages are usually separate and hosted elsewhere with Zendesk or some other similar services. That's probably why it's still up.

I'm not sure if it could be related to the old CEO though. I don't see why would he still have access to the hot wallets, after stepping down unless there was some backdoor he was aware of.

I think the site is not hacked or related since the other pages are accessible like the one hosted in Zendesk. If the Bitforex cPanel was hacked then the hacker will modify it and remove Cloudflare from where it is hosted.

I think it is due to the recent issue on Cloudflare here https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/
There might be some changes going on in Cloudflare that affect Bitforex which is why the site is inaccessible?
379  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S17+ zero hashrate but no other apparent errors on: February 26, 2024, 03:08:15 PM
Brilliant suggestion, I should have thought of trying an alternate pool myself. I set it up to use solo.ckpool.org and it fired right up with all hashing boards hitting their rated speed. So somehow my S17+ won't talk to the braiins pool properly while all my other miners do. At least I know where to focus my research now. Any ideas on why this particular miner would have problems with braiins? I guess I could try loading the braiins firmware and see if that made any difference.

I don't know why but maybe it is due to high ping that is why this miner can't connect even the other miners connected on the same pool. I heard similar issue before but it was solved by mining to a different pool.

I think you can try to use other Braiins pool servers they have other pool servers and only choose a server near your country or a country where you live.

Check the stratum v2 servers from this link below.

380  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S17+ zero hashrate but no other apparent errors on: February 25, 2024, 06:16:09 PM
Can you try to switch to another pool instead of Braiins?
I want to suggest https://solo.ckpool.org/ it is just for testing purposes and maybe the pool itself is the reason why it is not mining.

If still not mining I suggest try to flash the unit through the SD Card you can follow the instructions below and then upgrade it to the latest version from the GUI dashboard.
