361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't complain for too long. on: November 05, 2019, 03:54:41 AM
Complaining will never be the way Forward, As long as you know you are holding coins with potential, just relax and watch how the market grows, also it is always advised to invest in a project with spare money, don't use money meant for other urgent things, it will get you worked up while waiting or you will rather sell at a loss. Gradually the market will recover.
One of the frequently used advice on the forum is to invest what one can afford to lose. This means that one should not go for loan or use his entire savings of funds to invest in a coin. Also, it is always good to research into the project before investing in it in order to know much about its capabilities of surging. With this, there will be no need for the investor to complain frequently to create any form of panic.

Well it's a very immature thing to do to complain especially if it's your own decision that led to your complaining. It also removes focus on what's actually happening. I agree that you need to do your own research though one thing is to be responsible enough to own up to your decisions. Complaining doesn't get you anywhere especially when we're talking about losing assets.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: could it be most project don't succeed? on: November 05, 2019, 03:00:51 AM
It's good if bitcointalk has filters for these kinds of projects. But it must also be known that this is a free forum, everyone is obliged to protect themselves. Yes, indeed many guys will find out more about a project to find out the true identity of the project. But don't depend on other people's research results as well. At least train yourself to get used to doing research before plunging.

Actually forum has, but isn't automatic as like filtered and will be removed once known. We have mods and DT monitoring and observing some post in reputation and scam section which could be a source of primary removal and warning. It is self investigation, I dont think scam can automatically detected right away, if yes there is a really huge help and people will delighted to buy and use that whatever scam detector machine created.

This forum has no obligation at all to detect scams, but people are free to post scam projects that they have seen, which they have investigated in 'scam accusation section so that people can search it there their prospect project if it has currently accused as scam, if nothing yet, then it is our part and obligation to do investigation about the project before we will join bounty, or before we invest. This forum is just a tool for us to communicate freely, but still it's on our hands how we deal with scams.

Hence, it's called a forum Smiley and with so many projects being released, almost everyday, those that want to put their money on a certain one needs to be a little more vigilant and diligent when it comes to studying the venture they're investing in. It should be pretty basic for any investor. Most of these projects are just platforms to get money from people, whether through investments of social media interactions. That's why a lot of simply won't succeed because there's no actual target.
363  Other / Politics & Society / Re: POPULATION on: November 05, 2019, 01:34:59 AM
How to live comfortable in an over populated environment?

Stay humble is all I say for an overpopulated area. Stay close to your friends and relatives. Don't take much space. Segregate your waste and dispose it off properly. Stay updated , stay safe.

If you use plastic bags to dispose of some of your waste, make sure they are biodegradable.

Cool

Yeah and don't ever get into arguments with your neighbors especially about religion, politics and culture. Be civil and respectful. Most of the time people only reflect the attitude that others show towards them so, one way to survive in a densely populated area is to be really tolerant. Learn to just turn away.
364  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does MEDIA affect you? A poll on: November 05, 2019, 12:51:36 AM
Well once you've realized that the media can and is being used and manipulated by powerful people to pound information they want in you, you tend to not take it seriously anymore.  I prefer looking for documents online and reading rather than have someone in a suit tell me what's going on. Of course, it's quite a good source of entertainment seeing how other people enjoy ruining themselves trying to look smart lol.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ALTSEASON? are we waiting for nothing? on: November 04, 2019, 08:02:27 AM
Think it's 50/50. What about you?

Honestly, I don't expect much from altcoins anymore. They are all affected by BTC, so might as well invest in Bitcoin directly. Until a coin truly and permanently decouples from BTC, it will simply follow the lead with lesser price performance.

Well you can't have a trader to have that kind of mindset though. Bitcoin may largely affect the movement of alts, yes. Though it's not the only factor. I think we should change our viewd towards  the market situation. Some alts are doing good along with bitcoin. The market is not predictable so we can't really when or if there's going to be an alt season any time soon.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A view on hunters and crypto currency on: November 04, 2019, 07:28:44 AM
Only we will determine the future quality new altcoin project; investors, communities, traders in control, must think ahead, which assets are viable, which projects are junk. Cryptocurrency makes people achieve their rich dreams or the opposite.

Yes, most at times it gives the opposite because many investor's lack the self will power to research into any project they choose to invest into. Many are too lazy to do duel diligence concerning a project before they invest. Being lazy can give by trader, investor or Holder a junk of cryptocurrency without prior notice, ensure to research into a project before you invest.

Well it's their loss. And sometimes, even doing intensive research doesn't work, especially if the person is not prepared to hold until the project he supported moves forward. A lot of projects that are also legitimate sometimes takes time to even get value. So you'd really need to have patience to wait it out and to have the means to keep your tokens steady in your bag. Most of the time these tokens get sold right off the bat. Some of the more established coins took years before they we able to lift off.

I have searched this on Telegram and here is what I found:
Quote
📯We will wait for more people to join before I will release the next steps of how you can be a part of this.
💵 The information will cost you 0.1 ETH or an equivalent in ERC20 tokens tradable on Binance Exchange. Payment instructions will be released later.
💰 You will receive $250-500 over the next 18 months.
🤫 Keep this information to yourself once you receive it, the more people that know about this, means less money for us! Of course you are welcome to invite friends to this.
✌🏼 If you won’t be able to join this program, I will refund the payment. Let’s restore faith in humanity and trust.

When someone offers you money but before you get it you need to pay the fee first. I can assure you, all of them are a scam.
This is not my first time seeing it, do not fall for it.

Well good thing there's someone like you who took initiative posting that here dude. At least other peoole won't have to spend time running through the site for this info. I agree. At the onset, it sounded more like a HYIP. And i've fallen for those back in the early days to make the same mistake. That's probably why it wasn't indicated by op at the start of this post that people would have to send in eth to be eligible.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What messenger do you use to chat with your crypto gambling buddies? on: November 04, 2019, 04:53:06 AM
It depends on the type of gambling I have some groups in Facebook messenger and I also have in Telegram,
It depends on what they use and what is more easier for us .
I have some friends on gambling that still wants to be hide their identity so we only chat through telegram.
But for those who really wants to know me personally and sometimes wants to hang-out then we use our main facebook account.

I'm curious as to why there should be a preferred messenger type though. For me, since it's your gambling buddies anyway, i think any would do. Facebook messenger has an option to have a bubble pop for your messages, so that would be realy convenient if you don't want to go away from the gambling page. An option to create group chats also is available though that's pretty basic with any messaging app nowadays.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Play Simple FOMO, an ETH-based lottery where the last player to enter wins all. on: November 04, 2019, 03:31:52 AM
Very creative. I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of participants though i don't expect the bulk of them to join until close to the end of the deadline. That's when the real competition will start. At this point people who are interested to join would probably wait out until the last day. At least that's what i'm planning to do.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When altcoin season? on: November 04, 2019, 02:52:09 AM
everyone hopes the 2017 altcoin season will repeat itself. but does everyone think that building a market for a long season also takes a long time? and a lot of this market needs to be prepared to go back to the altcoin season. 2017 is not an easy achievement for the development of the altcoin market. many supporting aspects must be achieved. whereas right now, it looks like we're still far from the altcoin season.
Trends like 2017 will not re-form in the sense that altcoin will be the same increase as that year. I see exactly the direction of the market when it will Bullish altcoin will create a new price shock but several new altcoins will replace the big enough achievement in 2017. Like ethereum I am pessimistic when the market direction has formed the price will be the same as when the highest point was reached

It will come for eth. Just not soon it seems. Many coins will not be coming back to their value when bitcoin spearheaded the crypto boom last 2017. It's been downhill for the market in general after that but we're seeing postive movements as well this year. For long term holders, there shouldn't be any problem if they're willing to hold for a few years. Top alts eventually will move up then.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 04, 2019, 01:34:24 AM
LeBron transcended from a small forward to an all around player. Spurs will definitely find ways to stop LeBron but right now, he has more reliable teammates than before. I think the Spurs will have their hands full against the new Lakers line-up.
I don't see a player who has the skills like Leonard in the spurs, so no one can stop him.
Most likely its Rudy Gay that will take charge of Lebron but with Lebron's size, I think he will just dominate that match up.

Also, Davis, he will be guarded by LA which was getting inconsistent, so let's see who will win that match up but for me its definitely AD.
Green is a good shooter and he play his old team, hopefully they'll not regret trading him.

Well the lakers are looking a lot better than last year that's for sure. Davis and Green seemed to have fitted well so far. For Lebron and LAL haters out there, this current roster may run pretty deep in the playoffs if you base it on their recent games. Lebron may have finally built the team he's looking for to win a championship in the west. Coach pop honestly don't have all the tools yet to be back as a title contender.
372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 things should not be too in trading on: November 04, 2019, 12:18:54 AM
Definitely we should not trade more than what we have. Its always been encouraging to trade more to gain more. However, we should know our limits. As they say, too much is something bad enough. Being in moderation is not bad. Its better to be safe than sorry. And being simple and basic is mostly safe. Sometimes more knowledge may sometime confused you and lost your focus.

I just want to share, there are some people in the cryptocurrency space that utilize lending platforms to have initial funds for them to trade. Could we consider it as trading amount more than what we have? because for me, as long as you know how how to trade and you're willing to risk amounts of your funds it will be okay. But risking too much such as a newbie borrowing money is not advisable.
Me too, I am borrowing money here for trading, But I have my own money. I just need additional capital for more significant profits. That's basically what am I doing when I am sure on that trend or that news, I will go all in and set a stop loss, So if I am wrong so that I can pay for the money that I borrow. Still, so far, I am not losing when I predicted that it will be a sure thing.

Well going through lending platforms should be considered only if you're at least knowledgable or experienced already in trading. I don't recommend borrowing if you're still trying to get a feel of the market. Stick to trading with small amounts you can spare since that would be the time where you'd mostly encounter consistent losses but helpful experiences.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: November 03, 2019, 01:30:03 PM
I have a friend who wins 15,000 pesos or $300 the first time keno games in an offline betting outlet, he is so happy and very ecstatic about his winnings, I congratulate him and ask him how long before he hit the jackpot, he told me that it took him 7 months and he is betting daily at 100  pesos or $3 so his losses are bigger than winnings.

But surprisingly he did not calculate his losses all he cares about is he finally wins, how about you do you remember your losses when you win a big amount and do you calculate your losses and ask if the winning is worth it?

If I win big , I guess I would remember my losses as the past losses only got me to where I am. They made me strategize my game, Play safe, minimize losses and always set a budget.

That's a theory I like which is derived from the butterfly effect lol. So, if I win much, it means it was a reaction to what I lost in past. I wanted to recover and now I won so much. That way the greediness can be suppressed as every win will be seen as a victory and not as recovery.

Lol. It's only the feeling of beating the game that makes it special. If you've lost more than you've earned, then it's not worth it. Even if you say it will make you better in strategizing your next bets, it won't matter. What's worse is if you suddenly felt confident about your next wagers, and then start going on a losing streak again.
374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading fees really matter ? on: November 03, 2019, 12:36:06 PM
When you make a decent profit with your investment no one will bother about the trading fee, most of the exchanges are charged a fee for both the buying and selling, people are not hesitating to pay fees because if they want to make a profit they need to pay a fee.

Yeah but for a day trader who trades a lot in a day i think they will choose an exchange with lowest fee because less than 1% fee is matter for them because usually most of daily traders are just taking like 2% profits each trades if the fee is more than 1% that means they just get 1% which means cut half the profits.
Exchanges with lowest fee will be always the choice of daytraders.
I agree with this, i am a small time trader, I usually do a day trade technique, it kinda costly for me because in every transactions that are being made I need to pay for fees, whether I want to convert it into btc/eth or to transfer it in another exchange. Every little amount matters in a beginner and small time trader like me, that fees is equivalent to 1 order of altcoin sometimes.

The more you are concern of the trading fees when you are losing and you kept trading up to 100x a day, that 25 cent is somehow big enough to cover 3 meals when you are in 3rd world country.  Withdrawal fees matters the most probably for anyone who sees an exchange will ask 0.0012 BTC as its approximately 10$. I guess main reason most traders prefer the doge.

Exactly! That's how you explain the importance of trading fees which has been disregarded by many and to those who have been trading with huge volume. Huge trading fees might cause the clients or traders to stay away from a specific exchange not only if it has a good volume of trades every single day.

Though that's what keeps exchanges working. And i wouldn't gamble on an untested exchange that promises extremely low trading and withdrawal fees. When it comes to withdrawals, you'd always have the option to pay less though it'll take more time for the transaction to go through. There are some things that you just have to adjust to.
375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do expert traders hide their loses? on: November 03, 2019, 08:49:29 AM
Probably but I think that there is nothing wrong about hiding your losses because exposing them will just make the others to afraid in investing. It is just like spreading FUDs as the people will only think that Crypto investments is really risky making them to stay away in crypto therefore it would be better if we will just show them that we are earnings so that we could attract more people to join and invest in crypto.
In any case, a professional trader hides all the information that would be interesting to other users.  I relate to this simpler, because traders hide not only information about their losses, but also about good profit.  Very often I read topics where people ask professionals to share their strategies and many speak out on this subject.  But I am sure that no one will tell about a real strategy that brings a good result.  And no one wants to talk about personal lost at all.

I still think that depends. There are professional traders who make money out of providing tips to other traders. These people of course have a reputation to consider so they'd want to have an impressive slate when they offer their services. Though in general, i agree that there's little interest in a professional trader's losses. There's nothing to be taken out of it unless he's making money through his image of being a consistent earner.
376  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: November 03, 2019, 07:54:46 AM
Yes, indeed technical analysis is useful, but that does not guarantee that you will win 100% as the market is manipulative by someone who can have power to manipulate it such as whales, group of people, so this is something we cannot control that is why experts always recommend 'stop loss' in every coin we are trading at.
Despite what many so called experts claim there is no system that can make you profits 100% of the time, for that you will need to analyze all the information available and somehow predict accurately what will happen and its is not possible, this is why technical analysis also gives you tools to lessen your losses, that way you can maximize your profits and minimize your losses and if you can do this in a consistent way then obtaining profits on a period of months or years is possible.

That's the key there, minimizing losses. You can make big profits through sheer luck though loss management is a big factor in technical analysis. A lot of people see this as a way to consistently make money out of day and swing trades. For me, being aware and knowing how to analyze the market movement helps more on avoiding bad decisions and having a better timing for your orders.
377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DOES A TRADER NEED? on: November 03, 2019, 06:25:01 AM
Knowledge and experience. That includes losing a lot of trades in the process. There's no assurance in trading so a trader should be able to manage timing and his capital. Proper expectations as well that not everything will turn out the way you expected. And lots of patience. The market can push you to your emotional limits. It's a matter of always being prepared. Technical skills will come in time.
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: November 03, 2019, 05:11:56 AM
I don't really bet on politics cause I don't see it as a game we could just play. It's our own economy we're talking about. When it comes to politics, I'm more into who could make changes in my country. Although at some point, it's obvious who would likely to win based o their popularity on stats but that's not the case... Call me a killjoy but I just don't feel like betting on things should be taken seriously. And one thing is that we never know who will win. Sometimes those who seem to be obviously won are the one who loses since cheating are rampant in elections

That's really funny. Politics barely has anything to do with changes in the country. if you want to do that start with yourself. Most of the time, it's entertainment. Politicians are mostly old guys trying hoard money that they can't take with them when they die. Politics is a very corrupt system that would only drag you down if you take it seriously. Elections are a very good topic for gambing. Won quite a lot of bets that way.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your Dice gambling strategy? on: November 03, 2019, 03:57:54 AM
Guys i have almost a year playing a Dice gambling site.
I have different account in every gambling site just to try my luck.
I set it into 60% chances of winning per betting the dice and the target multiplier is 2.
but now focus to gamble at bustadice, and what's your's?

Sharing your strategy is highly appreciated!

From time to time I'm using Martingale methods but the only is difference is when I won the first time I take 5 minutes time to reset then go back to play that is my method play martingale after you win rest for 5 minutes, then play again, not really very effective but you sometimes win it still depends on your available funds on far you want to go.

At least it rests your mind lol. I don't see any significaNT difference there since you're using the same method. Anyways, I think martingale has the same effect as random betting. And once you get too comfortable, it's even more dangerous with higher risk of losing in a shorter amount of time. It's just fun to think that you're using some kind of method to have better chances of beating a game of luck.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 03, 2019, 02:57:03 AM
That buzzer beater by Green saved them.

Hats-off to Green as well, hitting that 3 in the corner to send the game into overtime.
Great fake he did on that shot he made. Also, nice assist from the king. Despite of the less time they have, he managed to have a calm mind and found Green for that OT shot. Let's appreciate the performance of Luka guys, he made well also on their match.

Right, Luka did played very well and even Lebron James acknowledge that. The guy is still young and I'm sure this kind of experience (with a lost), will make him a better player in the next coming games. Green says that James really read the defence on the tee that's why he has all the time in the world to hit that three sending the game into OT and a win for him.

Hat's off to both teams.  Doncic proved where he belonged going head to head with LeBron the entire game. The kid's going to go a long way. With the right attitude, He's likely going to be up there along with Dirk as one of the best players from Europe. Bron showed tremendous leadership as well especially during late game. If we continue to have games like this both from LeBron, AD and the lakers, the West playoffs would be really interesting.
