3601  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset backed cryptocoins? on: December 09, 2019, 07:50:54 AM
Cryptocurrencies, the value of which is backed by real assets, certainly cause more confidence among investors. Because these coins at any time can be exchanged for this very asset. But this only works in case with the legal regulation of a particular cryptocurrency. Now there are many fraudulent coins that are allegedly backed by real assets, but if they are not officially registered, then it does not make any sense.
usually, this kind of stablecoins that are backed by assets claim that they are already being audited by some kind of organization or the government and publish the technicality in their whitepaper. However, if the stablecoin happen to come from a rather less developed country it's kind of doubtful and not really can be trusted. There are some fraudulent stablecoin indeed but you can choose the legit one just easily even you can just guess which is legit by judging their overall trading volume and market capitalization.
3602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 09, 2019, 06:38:17 AM
That's his opinion which is not shared by majority. Its time we're guided by our own decisions not the opinions of others if he thinks Eth will get to $0 it's as good as Eth being a scam and not existing any longer. But there are numerous developments going on on the Ethereum network.
Even if it's a scam but the blockchain is still running some people might still use it and therefore not valued in zero but maybe a little higher than that and this $0 is honestly just dreaming. Yeah, maybe he thinks the whole crypto market is a bubble but it's not anymore. The market has went through that phase and now maturing then this kind of people spouting nonsense to everyone's face with his biased opinion. I'd say the more you ignore him the better.
3603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions about quitting mining on: December 09, 2019, 03:43:01 AM
Mining is not profitable on old rigs anymore unfortunatly, your decision is right
With the presence of ASIC, it really destroys the miners who uses ordinary GPU which is a lot less efficient than ASIC that was made for the sole purpose of mining bitcoin and specialized in that. I really agree that mining is just a big no and a waste of time for people with small capital like us. It's like we are racing with donkey meanwhile other people riding a Lambo and to bother with joining the race just doesn't make sense at all.
3604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is going to be slower ? on: December 08, 2019, 09:56:59 AM
In my opinion, IEO is really just an upgrade of the ICO.  So it is really difficult to invest them at a time when the market is going down.  They are too dangerous for investors, instead they will choose better options like buying BTC.
Not exactly an upgrade since the method to crowdfund is basically the same. The only difference is IEO held by the popular exchange which will demand some portion of money gathered at the end of the IEO funding phase while they are also giving their popularity and reputation for the project to reach a mass audience. So, IEO is just a fancy name for ICO that is already being reviewed by the exchanges.
3605  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of banking industry in blockchain on: December 08, 2019, 09:07:27 AM
For some reason, I doubt the transition process from their traditional customers will succeed.

5 years is a very fast time to adopt digital money. Banks also need time to put together a different system without errors, or they will blunder and go bankrupt, the process of merging with blockchain is also not that easy. Your assumptions will only be suitable for millennials, but not for others.
True that the transition could take a long time considering that not all people are really into technologies and the majority of people in this world don't even have an idea about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. People's mindset nowadays is that they believe the bank is the safest way to store their money and stock investment will always give return which is not true but to transition people like that to some kind of blockchain technology or its product which is crypto is kinda hard except if the government enforce it through law and punishment.
3606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins going to get the mainstream like 2017? on: December 08, 2019, 04:47:50 AM
I really think that the altcoins will be up like what it was back in 2017. The prices of altcoins right now are so low and if you are a smart investor then you know that this is an opportunity to cop a lot of cryptocurrencies for long term holding and expect to make at least a 100% return if you are patient. Just buy and hold the good altcoins and you will be fine.
2017 is the year of overhyped altcoins. Even some garbage project could get funding easily and the rate of ICO success is significantly higher but that doesn't mean a good thing. The market at that time is really unhealthy and ready to have a massive correction anytime and as a result the massive dumping around Dec 2017 - February 2018. Altcoin have a really low chance to get mainstream like in the past if you take that reason into account and people are not overhyped anymore. The good thing is, the market is rather healthy and not as fragile as it is back then.
3607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Icos facts on: December 08, 2019, 03:46:42 AM
The truth of the situation is this. Icos are unreliable
Token crowdfunding is unreliable.

It is up to you to decide which is the best action to take

Both ieo/ico/ or other form of coin offering does not guarantee you anything

You can join ico and make profit
You can join ico and get losses

Just
Always dyor
The same way IPO and any startup investment works. There's no guarantee that a project will become a huge success and that they didn't exit scam either. It's really hard nowadays to find a reliable project that can be trusted let alone a really successful project with promising futures.
There might be some good project out there or even undervalued project but we need to face the fact that we are overwhelmed with a project that merely created for grabbing people's money.
3608  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risks with using trading Signals on: December 07, 2019, 09:50:23 AM
When we relied on signals or some groups who shares their specific analysis, you won't be able to decide for certain actions. You might fall on wrong moves which eventually unpredictable, because some certain cases will divert. Your expectations will not meet the reality of the situation, and if signals will be the reference for every matter of perspectives we won't achieve our goals.
Always do more research and study deeply how the market changes the pattern, because someday it's worth for our hardwork.
and actually, if a group of analyst giving their trading signals to their member which could possibly amount thousands it will definitely alter what they initially predicted and create some kind of artificial pump and dump because many people are buying or selling at the same time which could be taken advantage of by the anaylst that have these trading signal service. People should actually take that into consideration before even joining any these so called premium trading signals.
3609  Economy / Economics / Re: Does halving really create deflation? on: December 07, 2019, 08:16:26 AM
Not deflation but reduced supply I guess, because halving day as a phenomenal event is risky if used as a reference for future price increases. However, what is clear, is that inflation and supply of Bitcoin units certainly decreased as happened in the previous year, 1 year after the halving moment, the price of Bitcoin increase drastically.
Reducing supply is not the right word here because that means the total supply that already planned to at 21 million of bitcoin will be reduced and there's nothing like that in the bitcoin blockchain. The halving itself only affects the reward that'll be given for each block while the reward from the transaction fee will also remain the same for the miners and I don't think something like this could really create deflation.
3610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking vs. mining altcoins on: December 07, 2019, 05:43:30 AM
Between staking and mining I think very easy if use money for investing with IEO of ICO project, just waiting when listing on exchange market then sell our coin and get much profit, for staking have waiting each month to receive our payment and never sell coin assets use for staking in want to get reward, how ever always have lower price with staking coin and get lost but mining have the same thing with lower earning every day.
The risk involved when it comes to staking is the price fluctuation indeed. But, it's a lot safer than investing in IEO or ICO because at least you can observe the market while staking but investing in IEO and ICO the dumping usually happens in a matter of minutes and you will always miss it. You need to consider the fact that if you are staking the top 20 coins it will increase the safety of your money and the IEO or ICO project could turn into an exit scam anytime.
3611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why every IEO on P2PB2B exchange? on: December 07, 2019, 04:35:48 AM

sir this exchange made fun of IEO, i mean every single project?  LoL ,
even it scam project or not they don't care about it,
The point of IEO is to host crowdfunding for the project in a more legitimate way than ICO and also involves the exchanges' reputation so that the exchange and project have something to lose if things don't go well and if an exchange like this P2PB2B doesn't have the reputation, to begin with, kinda silly indeed. I mean, what's the point of holding an IEO if there are no additional security measures to prevent scam and this one exchange already got a bad reputation and have nothing to lose. If people keep investing in the IEO held by this exchange I could only scratch my head confused.

I think many coin IEO listed with P2PB2B ECHANGE market because have lower price for paying fee, maybe if Listed with other exchange market like Binance need to prepare much money for developer can listed their IEO coin on Binance, how ever with P2PB2B exchange less rule and many coin can listed without have prepare their whitepaper and valid team.
That's the point, the shady project that doesn't meet the requirement of some popular exchanges turn their head to this exchange and that's why most of the IEO they hosted are kinda low quality. basically it's just a money-grabbing.
3612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why every IEO on P2PB2B exchange? on: December 06, 2019, 02:28:04 PM
Where do you think all those IEO leftover goes if there's no popular exchange willingly to accept them or host their IEO simply because they didn't meet the requirement? P2PB2B I assume is a fairly new exchange which is kinda fishy and I could say it's 3rd tier exchange and there are so many complaints regarding this exchange. You could make an assumption that they want to compete based on quantity rather than improving their quality.
3613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Frozing Funds from Hacked Exchanges on: December 06, 2019, 08:55:37 AM
The point of Binance freezing the stolen funds is to prevent it from moving to another address and being laundered all over again and while giving time for the respective exchange to somehow investigate and cooperate with binance in order to return the money. This is also why KYC is a requirement in most of the popular exchanges so that they could trace who's the holder of that account but it could be a double edge sword. So, the money will not be distributed directly to the users who lost their money but instead given back to the exchange who got their funds stolen which is basically the same thing anyway and more efficient and of course, how Binance and other exchange could cooperate resulting to the return of the fund is not that simple.
3614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DigiByte delisted from Poloniex!!! on: December 06, 2019, 07:51:29 AM
Things like this will make the crypto world more mature in the future.
If I look at it from the source, the words of Tate are so bad that poloniex looks for their mistakes and delisted them.
Maybe Tate's words have a point, but by delivering them in a tweet and being read by the public, I don't think it's a good method. This is like spit out the mistakes of others without discussing personally first. So that is the risk of DGB to be registered.
Well, every action have a consequence but straight up delisting a coin because of some hurtful words isn't a wise decision either not that I'm really fond of this digibyte anyway but still feels kinda odd to see politic in crypto market but who am I to judge poloniex is owned by those people and any side effect of delisting Digi is their responsible although I don't think it has significant effect to the exchange anyway. But, I see that Digibyte have rather higher trading volume in other exchange so this is probably will not affect that much.
3615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alibaba cooperates with new blockchain platform, Is this project worth following on: December 06, 2019, 07:12:56 AM
The first thing I liked about this announcement is that this space is constantly gaining attention irrespective of all that has been said and/or labelled the crypto space to be. Secondly, this is a good move although it has been a while I read anything about credits blockchain, but however it shows real world use is coming up and therefore if properly managed will bring more exposure to this space.
It's the blockchain system that got the spotlight though. Meanwhile, cryptos will remain under the government's restriction in China and it's not going to be resolved anytime soon. Although I do agree that the blockchain system has now recognized to be useful and with all these big corporations trying to implement the system for various use and it could probably contribute to the development of blockchain system.
3616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i play games and get paid in crypto ? on: December 05, 2019, 05:05:51 AM
Actually never heard of the platform that pays people to play PC games like CSGO and Dota 2 with promising reward most of them are just faucets and last time I heard it's a platform called BUFF that tries to bring that into reality but now I've never heard about them. However, there are plenty of people that willing to buy skins or item in exchange for cryptos and I assume that a lot profitable than any other method which usually only get you pennies. Try to look up some forums or websites that usually being used for skin or item marketplace. Crypto has become something mainstream in that kind of websites anyway.
3617  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: December 05, 2019, 04:36:10 AM
I think because libra is a stable coin with a price of $ 1, it cannot be used for trading. Then I include people which is not active
on facebook, then there is no reason for me to use libra coin. In my opinion libra will be very useful for Facebook ads users, they
will be easy to make payments if using libra coin. So libra will be better if used as a digital currency, because the price is stable.
The price of Libra still not yet revealed though I think it will not become exactly $1 because it's backed up by various assets and the price to dollar may vary aswell and changes everytime and to make it as a payment method for Facebook ads makes sense but to be honest it will add a lot unnecessary complication that shouldn't actually be there in the first place.
3618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other ways of digital Marketing outside Bounties for cryptocurrencies. on: December 05, 2019, 02:14:54 AM
If a coin get advertised on big websites like CMC or good wallet platform like coinbase or coinomi they will surely see good investors because many people trust these big platforms better than social media like facebook and twitter
But it comes down to the investors' own judgement and most of them aren't trusting project just because it got listed into a platform like CMC although if it already got listed into a reputed exchange it's more likely to be a legit project no one knows whether a project could hold on in the future and even progress further.
Some unique fact that I recently know is promoting through emails also considered the most effective because people are frequently checking their emails for deals and unread messages.
3619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can this Be The Solution To The Incessant Exchange hacks? on: December 05, 2019, 12:38:57 AM
Some popular exchanges already have this and for example binance. Try to look up their bug bounty program but the reality it doesn't work as expected because people have this thing called greediness and if they are wicked enough they will just prefer to use the security hole and steal the money rather than receiving the rewards which at this point can be considered pennies. You can't expect to hire some security expert and get done with it either because a security hole is really random.
3620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: December 04, 2019, 05:19:15 AM
Only newborns will say that Technical Analysis is bullshit, if you are included I hope you will learn more about Technical Analysis.  because what I know is that on TA includes indicators and so on it was created by great people so as to make it easy for people who have learned it.  and I myself use TA to trade.  I am not satisfied to study TA anymore and want to continue learning.  try to see the TA that I made in 2018.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2857339.0
It is obvious that there are going to be many people that are going to say that technical analysis does not work, this is similar to all of those people that complain about a particular diet that they followed and which did not gave to them the results that they were expecting, if you do it right then you are going to obtain results.

But many people never take the time to learn enough about technical analysis and how to put together a coherent strategy, so it is obvious they are never going to succeed using technical analysis.
The actual problem there are so many people out there claiming to be an expert analyst or trading expert giving away their "technical analyzation" regarding the market and what decision should be taken and turns out to be a big fat bullshit afterward. Those people are the reason people call that TA is kinda bullshit meanwhile there are indeed some legit TA out there or can even be done by ourselves if done right but that given fact that I mentioned kinda ruin the whole reputation of this Technical Analysis. Can't really blame both sides if the one that causes the problem aren't them.
