3681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 10, 2021, 10:19:45 AM
The more this thread goes the more I think and the more I start to think television advertising and youtube advertising should be banned. I don't think it's something people need to be encouraged to do. If people want to gamble I have no issues and if they want to sign up for a daily list of promotions etc I couldn't argue with that.

The thing is that it is inevitable.

Despite that these platforms, social medias or casinos/gambling sites aim these advertisements to adults or those at the right age, they will never stop the ypoung people to see them. The internet and websites can't filter its users, these youngsters might want to watch animes in a site, they would obviously see ads about penis enlargement pills.

Advertising, in general, should be closely monitored as it is being broadcasted in all platforms where every age group can see. If a business advertises something which involves immoral things or scenes that can influence a child to be curious about gambling, smoking, etc. then it must be struck down.

The problem with our day and age is that technology is everywhere and we cannot prevent these people from engaging into these stuff. But, that does not mean that advertising should be loosely monitored. Despite its availability, monitoring advertisements should always be strictly monitored.
3682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to take BITCOIN profit without selling? on: January 10, 2021, 06:30:24 AM
<snip..>

Like what most have mentioned, there can never be any profit if you do not sell your bitcoins, so it is entirely impossible to have that kind of situation. Maybe what they meant was they HODL their remaining bitcoins and let time do its thing. That's one way to increase the value of your bitcoins especially during this bullish run.

First of all, you need to be cautious of the videos you watch on Youtube cause some videos are used to send false information whilst some are used to scam people through ROI investment.
Having said that, the only way I think you can increase your Bitcoin profit without selling your coin is by offering loan service on an exchange which some exchange called investment of BTC on their bankroll and any information apart from all what I said is totally a scam.

Heed to this advice, OP.

Lots of videos on Youtube promoting investment schemes and false information that would let someone to believe that one is possible, which in fact, is impossible. Loans are risky especially if the person you are dealing is not reputable. Hell, even reputable members of this forum default on loans- which is why you really have to be extremely careful when loaning.
3683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The market is not your friend: Don't trade selfishly on: January 10, 2021, 04:56:02 AM
I read an article posted on reddit that most of the day-traders nowadays lose 97% of their capital. These numbers are outrageous considering the fact that only 3% of the day traders profit and 0.04% earn above the wage of a bank teller.1

As I was reading that article, the problem lies on people who quit before they actually learn about the basics and the fundamentals. Trading can be extremely unforgiving especially if you do not have the patience and the determination to learn. My advice would be to always check the market and to forecast possible price drops to at least avoid this situation.

3684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Broner vs Campa Feb 13 on: January 09, 2021, 06:48:43 PM
I don't like loud-mouth boxers  Smiley, so if the odds on betting for Campa is attractive then i will go for it, same as you mate.

Is this a title fight?
This would be hard for Campa but i do see the chances for him to beat up Broner. Same as yours, i dont like those boxers who do talk shit before the fight.

Let their boxing would do the talk.  Wink

Though I highly understand that trash talking is part of hyping the fight in order to attract more viewers, Broner is the type of guy who trash talks literally. Like, he speaks shit before and after the fight; he does not acknowledge his defeat and creates excuses to make it appear that he actually won the fight.

AB's career has been on a downhill ever since he fought Maidana. His notorious spending spree and partying has caused a toll on his discipline as a fighter. I do agree that he is a talented fighter but he needs to get his shit together if he wants to continue his career.
3685  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: January 09, 2021, 04:49:13 PM
Kung merong technology na isahan nalang tipong celphone mo na ang both receiver ng salary mo tapos wallet and pay app eh di wala nang need for any apps that go in between the source and the merchant/service.

I agree sa sinabi mo sir.

The problem mainly revolves around the availability of transferring funds from fiat to digital cash. Although some 7/11 and Ministop convenience stores offer reloading of our 'beep cards', kulang pa rin yung mga additional ways para ma-load ito. In addition, sana may mga iba pang services and stores ang tumanggap ng electronic cash para mas lalong mapabilis yung pag-implement ng ganitong systema.

Like what others mentioned, hindi ito overnight process pero onti-onti na din tayong nag-aadjust dito.

3687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's share some of our Bitcoin Pizza moments for the new ATH on: January 09, 2021, 08:54:33 AM
Ever since I joined this forum way back in 2017, I am fortunate enough to have participated in campaigns as early as a Jr. Member.

Back then, 1 btc was equivalent to around $4,000-$5,000 and it stayed that way for a couple of weeks. I needed to purchase books and study materials, so I converted most of my earnings to fiat via our local wallet exchange.

When I had around $150 worth of bitcoins at that time, a friend of mine introduced me to USI-TECH and he showed me his local wallet amounting to around 120 btcs. He told me that he invested 50% of his btcs and gained 30% every six (6) months.
Being young and naive, I quickly invested all of my btcs and bought their so called 'packages' (I even attended a seminar about USI-TECH and met the developers here in our country). For four (4) months, I saw my btcs increased but at the day of the deposit, their website crashed and I lost all of my invested btcs.

If I had only known back then what I know now, my 0.025 btcs in 2017 ($150) could have been $1,000 now. Learning is indeed the best experience.
3688  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Netcoiners.com Ponzi Project on: January 08, 2021, 07:17:46 PM
Continue your impressive work, OP!

Ponzi-schemes like these are laid-out perfectly which can be attracting to a newbie's eyes. I remember the time when I invested into a ponzi-scheme back in 2017 and I lost $150 worth of bitcoins (probably +$1000 by now). Given that money was an essential need at that time, the loss that I incurred fuelled my rage against these scammers. I am happy to see that we have a community that is dedicated in finding scammers across the internet.

I support every post like this and I also encourage everyone to do the same.
3689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost in my life on: January 08, 2021, 05:27:48 PM
Where should I go in the virtual currency world?I don’t have the funds to invest.

This depends on your determination to learn.

Personally, although you do need a capital in order to start investing into cryptocurrency, start reading and learning about the technology and make this knowledge as your investment. Throughout the course of your learnings, you would start to understand the dynamics of cryptocurrency which gives you the opportunity to share such knowledge in the forum.

Quote
I don’t have a premium account for bounty and signature tasks, but the cruel reality does not have much time for me to learn.

In this forum, everyone started as a newbie/beginner. Even theymos himself started as a newbie; most people grind their way through and understood the basics of cryptocurrency. This enabled them to share their knowledge and provide actual contribution as a whole. If you lack such determination in order to reach your goals, then I doubt that you would go far.

Change your mindset about earning and start the process of learning. Good luck, OP.
May halving pa.

The sky is the limit pag dating sa bitcoin!

Good luck sa lahat!
3691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No 2FA and robbed of 0.097BTC on: January 08, 2021, 12:30:08 PM
As most have mentioned, I really do sympathize with your loss.

In all of the websites that I visit in which I create an account, I always make it a point to enable the 2FA features to provide extra security. Though 2FA sometimes require some additional information, such kind of hassle is justifiable in order to at least protect my account. Given that the online gambling industry is notorious nowadays due to the covid pandemic, lots of scammers are trying to take advantage of this opportunity to hack/scam others.

Let this be a learning lesson for you, OP. Next time, enable your 2FA in order to avoid this kind of incident happening in the future.
3692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 07, 2021, 07:17:57 PM
I see a lot of signature wearers discussing gambling quite frequently in this section of the board. I’m curious, what do you do with your signature campaign earnings? Do you support your advertiser and gamble it on their platform, save it, or spend it? I assume most people probably gamble it, and that’s why signature campaigns are able to be so generous, but maybe some users are taking advantage of the funds to help support themselves or even give back to charities or organizations they enjoy. If you have a good use for your earned signature campaign earnings, share it here, or even if you have a not so good use. Smiley

I am fortunate enough to have participated in campaign signatures ever since I ranked up to Jr. Member last 2017.

Like what I usually reply with posts like these, my signature campaign earnings primarily went to funding my education. As someone who lived with a single father and with three siblings, as the oldest brother, the priority in expenses are usually allocated toward my younger siblings. I bought law books, study materials, and other school stuff using my earnings which I indirectly helped my father.

I tried investing a portion of my bitcoins last 2018 when I was introduced into a ponzi scam called USI-TECH and I lost approximately $150. From there on, I vowed to myself that I will save and HODL if I do not need to purchase anything academic-related.
3693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin considered the gold of crypto investment? on: January 07, 2021, 05:49:39 PM
The comparison between gold and bitcoin has been argued for a long-time now. What separates them is their natural distinction as the former is tangible while the latter is intangible. Like what most have mentioned, gold is susceptible of being fake while bitcoin cannot be faked due to its transactions being recorded in the blockchain.

Many have categorized bitcoin as the same as gold investment but the former has a very volatile price unlike gold. Still, I highly suggest that you diversify your investments by investing into both for maximum profit.
3694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who the hell is doing this? on: January 07, 2021, 10:50:51 AM
I wonder, who is buying Bitcoin and alt coins like $ETH, $BET & $LTC so high now. what happened to the buy low & sell high rule?

That's the beauty of bitcoin's volatility.

By applying your logic, people who purchased bitcoin back in 2017 where 1 btc amounted to $4,000-$5,000 would be crazy. Who knows what the final price of bitcoin will be in the upcoming future? Maybe the current price of bitcoin today may be on its lowest in the upcoming months but who knows? That is why I highly recommend that people should do their research on the market and on the relevant news on cryptocurrency so they may be aware of the changes that may help them with their investments.

The sky is the limit, OP.
3695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What to expect when starting an online casino? on: January 06, 2021, 06:58:15 PM
Starting an online casino can be relatively difficult but as long as you have the knowledge when it comes to programming and to the technicalities, then you may proceed.

Just a quick tip, do not forget to check the laws of your country if there exist relevant laws related to online gambling. Every country has their limitations and prohibitions so you may want to check that to get your license. Furthermore, make your interface as friendly as possible. Apply different color schemes that attract the eyes of the audience. Lastly, what makes or breaks an online gambling platform would be the customer service.

Be ready to encounter and to address lots of customer complaints and technicalities as that will inevitably follow.

I highly suggest you check this WEBSITE for your extra reference. Cheers and good luck!
3696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is FOMO why people interested in FOMO on: January 06, 2021, 04:25:32 PM
My thought we are in bull market just forget new experimental coin smashing up 50x -100x in dex and next week rekt , so old is gold avoid fomo buy old coin 👌👌

There's a huge problem with people who has FOMO especially when they enter something they do not know about.

Let us take an actual example. Back in December 2017 when the price of bitcoin reached an all-time high of $18,500/btc, people lost their minds. Many entered and invested into bitcoin without even knowing what it was and the technology behind. As a result, a month after December or around first quarter of 2018, the price of bitcoin plummeted and crashed. Unfortunately, those people who invested during this bullish run claimed that bitcoin was a 'bubble' and a 'scam'.

FOMO can be advantageous but you must know what you are getting in to. If you blindly invest into something without even knowing what you are actually purchasing, you will just add to the stigma which contributes to the negative image of cryptocurrency.
3697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty on: January 06, 2021, 08:32:20 AM
hi, here I am a new participant in this forum, here I want to ask how to find out the bounty bounty information that I want to follow is fraudulent or genuine, please explain

Most users who participated in bounty campaigns are either spammers or scammers. In addition, if your post quality is full of bounty posts, then you will have trouble participating into future signature campaigns.

Nevertheless, your focus should always be contribution in the forum. Most users who have participated into bounty campaigns are also the ones who complain on why they are not ranking-up. Change your perspective about the forum and make actual contribution. If you primarily joined this forum purely for profit, chances are you will not get any.

3698  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I doing anything wrong by holding bitcoin?⁰ on: January 05, 2021, 05:19:00 PM
Yesterday I bought some bitcoin.  I have invested $12,000 in Bitcoin.  And in the next two days I will buy some more bitcoins.  I wish I could hold these bitcoins.  I believe that in 2021 these held bitcoins of mine will make me much happier.  Certainly I'm not doing anything wrong by holding bitcoin.  As a newbie, I'm not very experienced.  So I look forward to the advice of experts.

It depends on your goal but I highly suggest you divide your investments into short/long-term.

With the current bullish run in bitcoin, the prices have been increasing in the past month by 300%. For short-term investments, you can either cash-out some of your bitcoins if it reached its value higher when you purchased it. For long-term, I also suggest that you keep some of your bitcoins as its value may probably increase this 2021.

As someone who purchased bitcoin way back in 2017 (around $5,000/btc), I do suggest to keep at least 80% of your bitcoins for long-term and the remaining 20% for short-term.
3699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino on: January 05, 2021, 04:15:24 PM
In my honest opinion, I think cheaters should not be categorized as people who 'beat' the casino since they applied trickery on their games.

From reading their backgrounds, I think Don Johnson deserves the spot for the person who beat the casino. He was just purely lucky at that time and the gods of gambling shined upon him. I am actually surprised that some casinos banned/prohibited him from participating. Other than him, those people mentioned should be excluded as they cheated!

I didn't understand the story of Don Johnson. You only briefly mentioned that he "broke into Atlantic City". Are we talking about a physical break in and theft or how did he win $6 million?

According to Wikipedia, Don Johnson's total winnings amounted to around $15.1 million dollars in different occasions back in 2011. I suggest you research about him to further know his background.
3700  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pagpasok ng Tao Sa Crypto on: January 05, 2021, 07:24:27 AM
