381  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: September 08, 2020, 07:35:00 PM
$16 billion is still small compare to trillions of dollar needed to stabilize the economy. Legalizing cannabis must be for another reasons and not to use it as a leverage for economy recovery except the government is considering it with other things for a source for the required money for economy recovery. I understand well that the cannabis has been legalised is some of the states but how much influence does it bring to the economy and growths of those states
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YFI and Huobi on: September 08, 2020, 09:21:59 AM
I just noticed recently that Huobi.com listed YFI, very cool seems they are stepping it up in the DeFi space.

Can anyone help me understand the difference between YFI and YFII?

YFII is a fork from YFI just like some forks of bitcoin. It has been listed also in many platforms that YFI is listed and trading volume and price seems to have dropped in the past few days. I think huobi are monitoring closely the defi and decision to list YFI must have been because they also want traffic going to defi to also come to their trading platform and choosing YFI is not a bad idea because it seem it is one of the most decent defi project right now
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do You think about YFI ? on: September 08, 2020, 09:15:45 AM
Many of the defi project have seen are overhyped and some have even deteriorated in price with little or no hope of the price risen again but YFI is still much better. Maybe because it is listed in big exchange such as binance but the recovery rate after the recent market has been OK. The token is still maintaining a decent price of 20k so if you are someone that like taking risk, then YFI is OK. Hopefully the bearish market doesn't continue.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin for coronavirus on: September 08, 2020, 09:11:38 AM
It has been around since the pandemic started. It is just a regular pump and dump token. Nobody in his or her right sense will invest in such project for long time and by the way it makes the pandemic look like an advantage for someone. Especially when the price of casualties keep risen. This is not what we all want. Ones there are many potent vaccines and the virus goes down, the project too will die
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not only bitcoin. on: September 07, 2020, 12:50:44 PM
One of the user here already put this xrp giveaway as a part of the crypto scam so by default this is nothing new. Many of this fraudsters used bitcoin and ethereum to do their bad work but now that a lot of people understand what is their aim, they are just trying to come up with another concept to defraud people and XRP has been their target coin
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Sushi Dump CZ reply with Highly risk especially on Defi project ?? Agree ? on: September 07, 2020, 12:44:06 PM
Newbies are only interested in making profit within a short period. It is only when things get sour they try to understand what they are into. Defi is trending and what majority see is one token with more than 500% rise within short time so they join and also put their money into it. Majority of defi project today don't even have a fully developed platform not to talk about white paper and roadmap aside some existing project that also dive into defi
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is DeFi overdue for a correction or something else?? on: September 07, 2020, 12:17:34 PM
Even though defi has been over hyped and a lot of people seem to have learn their lesson. For the main time some defi token such as YFI might recover after the market correction due to moderately high volume that it currently and consistently being maintained during this period. I can't say for all of them but if we have bitcoin going up again, definitely some of them will rise why some has already perished
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No hype is good on: September 06, 2020, 11:23:13 AM
Many are into crypto for a short term gain and this is the reason they all join the FOMO. 2017 is one of the longest hype so far. ICO were so overrated and really a lot of people make good amount of money. That was when buying token of a project would see you making 10x of the buying price within few days. IEO was just hyped but not much money were invested by people. Defi is getting hyped more than IEO and people are putting much money than IEO but still less than ICO in 2017
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Binance in trouble over listing scam defi token on: September 06, 2020, 06:16:22 AM
There is the defi token called "SUSHI" which was listed on binance a while ago. Unfortunately the founder reportedly exit scam leading to the price dropped 60% off just within 24 hours. https://news.bitcoin.com/sushiswap-founder-reportedly-exit-scams-as-sushi-token-price-tanks/. A lot of traders has gone nut on CZ Binance on Twitter claiming that he deleted some of his post about the project

390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with crypto news (DEFI with Y)!! on: September 06, 2020, 05:21:42 AM
It is the season of defi everyone wants to make money and this has lead to an incredibly insane project YFLINK does not even have a properly functional website yet the token has reached the highest price above $1000. The same thing with Dfinance although the project is not being tracked by some of the coin market analysis websites. I believe this will spoil reputation of some exchange platforms that people have strong trust in them for not listing scam projects.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sure, We have good DeFi project. on: September 05, 2020, 05:00:14 PM
Your narrative of a good project is the one that offers high profit within a short period of time without taking into consideration if there is any usability or products and whether the project will be available for a long time. I know YFI is one of the most hyped defi but you should know that what makes it to rise is because it was listed in big exchange like Binance. Unless you buy such coin during the early stage, you cannot predict what the future holds especially now that the coin has a new fork called YFII
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall of dia data (DeFi) on: September 05, 2020, 03:19:38 PM
Majority of defi are hyped and traders invest in them for short term gain so it is nothing strange to see it getting dumped. Traders have moved on to another hyped defi. Yfi is one of the most hyped defi but as soon as the price went above 30k, few days later, yfii which is a fork from yfi occur and trader switched to that and get the original yfi dumped. As I am typing this message, yfi is around 22k due to massive dump
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't venture into something you aren't completely sure about. on: September 05, 2020, 02:13:51 PM
This would be better suited in the mining section if it can be moved there. This is very important especially for the people that are new into bitcoin and want to invest in bitcoin mining and have a long term business plans for it. Mining might be profitable if you reside where electricity is cheap or you are considering cheap renewable ways of getting electricity for mining. https://decrypt.co/39426/is-bitcoin-mining-still-profitable-in-2020
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Define the (scam) DeFi. on: September 05, 2020, 01:56:30 PM
Even though I am fully sure that many of this defi token is a scam, I am sure you know not only defi is currently bleeding but all the crypto too. If you can share the image of the top 100 cryptos on CMC. We shall see what befall many of them after the market correction. Maybe they will rise again or remain it is. It is also an eye-opener for everyone that this defi hype has started making them to think of investing in upcoming one
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Bitcoin giveaway scams and how can you avoid them on: September 05, 2020, 11:51:13 AM
The day that twitter hacks happened, I knew it was a scam. If anyone wants to do a giveaway, they will never tell you to send bitcoin, not to talk of highly influential people. Imagine Barack Obama telling you to send money before he can help you. This is really very dumb because even before now, many of those influential people that posted the giveaway have not openly mentioned their support for the bitcoin in the past
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is Going to "DEAD....!" Need Discussion..... on: September 05, 2020, 11:41:40 AM
2017 is the year a lot of people started venturing into investing in bitcoin and it is very overhyped especially altcoin. People bring a lot of money into crypto which makes the price keep rising. During this period bitcoin and altcoin created a lot of media attention which bring more people into investing in the coin. Today, crypto has gone up and down and there has never been any overhyping that surpassed the previous year
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Defi Effect - What makes DeFi not reliable? on: September 04, 2020, 07:00:41 PM
A lot has been discussed about Defi and it is being recommended that traders should be careful in investing in any defi project that they do not have confidence in offering more than a quick profit. We have seen what happened to YAM defi token and Hotdog is the next. I am very sure many defi projects will still go bad like this. It is just a matter of time. Many of the dev that could not make money from ICO are waking up and cooking up a new project with defi claim
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your advice on: September 04, 2020, 12:55:05 PM
It will be great if you provide detail about your investment plan. Are planning to start buying and keep holding for a long time or a short time? Do you want to be trading daily to earn a profit? if a long term investment is what you are thinking of, I will suggest you consider bitcoin. It is the strongest crypto out there. It is less volatile compared to the rest and the price of others depends on bitcoin as well. It has a lot of prospects and you can rest assured that you will make a profit in the long run
399  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic outlook and your life for 2021 poll on: September 04, 2020, 12:38:04 PM
There is a bit difference between now and before covid19. The unemployment rate has been high in my country for a while now, even before the pandemic. So it is fair to say, there has been a bit different in a standard of living to be specific. As it has been extensively discussed that potent vaccine will be available by the end of the year, while we have already read the news of some countries already patenting vaccine for the virus, my 2021 outlook is to see the economy recovering again, decrease in unemployment and more money getting thrown to the economy.
400  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020 Money is king Again Good news on: September 04, 2020, 12:22:51 PM
So how did you intend to earn the Money if what matters is money? This is a wrong philosophy about life. You need skills and education to broaden your knowledge and put you in a good chance to earn money. Many people will tell you that those that are most successful today drop out of school. Not that they did not acquire basic education but "dropped out" Money will not just come out from thin air. It will be earned.
