381  Economy / Auctions / Re: member account for auction on: July 22, 2015, 01:28:42 PM
that's a slight bit too high, could you provide a summary of the post quality?  I offer 0.0125 BTC.
post quality. is high and many users from da dice said that he is a good poster..

Yeah, you can't prove both of those.
Maybe show your account to a trusted member and have them be the judge of high post quality and that people from DA Dice said that the account has posts of high quality.
Also, your standards for that would be dubious. Your posts are not themselves of high quality, so how can we trust your idea that someone elses posts are of high quality.
382  Economy / Service Discussion / Are there any services selling a broad range of digital products for BTC? on: July 22, 2015, 10:05:04 AM
Ages ago, snapcard used to allow you to buy anything with BTC. They would effectively trade your BTC for their USD, and perform the USD purchase for you.
Gyft too used to be useful, but has reduced Bitcoin acceptance on a large amount of their gift cards.

Any other places worth checking out? For example, I was just looking for an iTunes gift card and couldn't find anything.
383  Other / Meta / Re: EAL should be considered for demotion on: July 22, 2015, 09:30:29 AM
*snip*
I am not sure if his actions warrant his removal from being a staff member, however I wouldn't say it is appropriate for a staff member to show up as having negative trust (that is visible by default) as it sends somewhat of a bad message about the forum.

But isn't that the best message about the trust system to newbs.
It isn't controlled by the staff/forums.
Whenever a newb receives negative trust, we could just point to EAL and say, see, even staff can have negative trust.

Nothing against EAL, have no real stance on this matter, but that would be the best representation of the trust system as something untouched by the staff.
384  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO - One email — one account on: July 22, 2015, 09:24:00 AM
Nothing of the sort.
I'd reccommend trying to talk to their customer support itself.
385  Economy / Services / Re: ANONYMOUS BITCOIN TRADES ARE POSSIBLE! on: July 21, 2015, 03:29:02 PM
Hmm, I think everything needs to be put a bit more clearly.
The topic of this thread is rather misleading, as is seen in a lot of the confused replies.

From what I understand, Multisigna is an escrow system, plus a platform for buyers and sellers to meet.
All fiat goes directly from buyer to seller, whilst the Bitcoin is sent through a multisig transaction from the seller to the buyer.
Multisigna intervenes if necessary.
386  Economy / Services / Re: Satoshi Sushi Restaurant on: July 20, 2015, 03:00:10 PM
I love sushi, and I love ice cream. I'll definitely give this a shot next time I'm in Miami!

Not sure if you noticed, but this is in some place called Miami in Spain
Check out the Google Maps link Tongue

(If you already did know that whoops)
387  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.playcoinflip.com -->> Free BTC every 120s on: July 20, 2015, 02:46:27 PM
Seems like you haven't read up on the basic gambling fact "You never win, house bites you in the end". So adressing your comments-
Yes, they do rip you off, well rip off is not exactly the word but you are always expected to lose in the end.
Yes, that is variance, while you are in positive variance(if you don't know what that is, look it up) you may leave gambling and still be in profit, but if you keep playing -EV(Expected variance), which means that you will loose your money in the end(to short it up), will make you lose your btcs.
Then there wouldn't be gambling sites at all, gambling sites work so that they may make money out of your money, and BECAUSE of the house edge they do, yes there might be quite a few people(maybe even you, thats why you are defending this point furiously) who have made something out of gambling, but if there is negative EV, its random if you win or loose, then you are expected to loose in the end.
Yes it is, seems like you got in at the wrong time, sometimes couple of highrollers may cause the site's profit to go down, and if they cashout then it may remain in loss, if not once again, there is house edge which will bite them. And the site's bankroll never clears out, if they have the correct implementations of Max profit.

Firstly, EV doesn't mean "expected variance", it is expected value.

Now, the idea of "always reaching expected value" will happen if and only if you bet an infinite amount of money.
I could bet 10 bets and be in the positive.
I could bet a 1000 times and be in the positive.
I could bet 10 million times and still be in the positive. Is it likely? No. But is it impossible? No.

There are more people that lose than win.
But, that does not necessitate that the dice sites are ripping you off and as you say "You never win, house bites you in the end"
That is not a basic fact, because that is not a fact. Provide some backing before you say stuff like that.
388  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.playcoinflip.com -->> Free BTC every 120s on: July 20, 2015, 10:06:36 AM
Im kind of confused and i cant tell if this is sarcasm or not, i hope it is. If it's not, all sites accept players, there is no maximum, dice sites are just there to rip you off and basically steal your money, there is no fun to it unless you are winning and you are going to lose eventually so what is the point?

Woah woah, that's way too hostile.
No, dice sites don't "rip you off"
Most good ones atleast just follow the house edge, and you can verify every bet if you think you're being ripped off.

No, you're not going to "lose eventually".
You can go, double up your money, and leave.
There's going to be a lot of people that end up winning more than losing in the end. That's how gambling works.

There is a point to gambling.
It might be entertaining to you. Paying 10$ to gamble might be worth more to you than paying 20$ to watch a movie.
And as said before, you have a good chance to win.
A couple hours ago, I invested 50 CLAM into JD. I just noticed that I have a negative bankroll profit. What does this mean? All the people who have played between me investing and this post have on average, gained more than they've lost. It is possible for a casino to be very very unlucky and have a negative profit forever, meaning that players are actually winning more than they are losing.

If you really hate gambling that much, find some actual facts, or maybe just stop spreading FUD on the Gambling subforums.
389  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [CLOSED] 50 mBTC Giveaway to Hero and Legendary members! on: July 20, 2015, 07:06:08 AM
Just ran out of the trial amount Tongue
I had a good strategy I think. I played slots to get to the rollover, and whenever I reached under 10 mBTC, I played poker to get back up.
Until in the end I accidentally played one more round of slots than I could afford, and couldn't play poker anymore to get back up.

The website is pretty good, slots are fun. (But I'm not sure about the house edge)
It lacks the provably fair feature, but it is fun and worth playing on for smaller amounts.
The poker could be better. The tournaments aren't realy frequent.
On the plus side, none of the players are too skilled, and it is quite easy to gain some mBTC playing Poker.
However, there are mainly low stakes players playing poker, which makes it hard to earn much more.
390  Economy / Gambling / Re: Direct Dice - 10 BTC Jackpot ! Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin & Darkcoin ! on: July 20, 2015, 07:02:27 AM
Alright, could you show me where this is written on your site?
I can't find it under VIP Rewards nor Rules. You might want to make it more visible that only half the loyalty points are given.

It's stated in the VIP Rewards page :

http://www.directbet.eu/VIP.cshtml

Quote
You earn 1 loyalty point for every 0.001 BTC, 0.2 LTC, 0.1 DASH or 2000 DOGE that you bet during the month, with the exception of Direct Dice bets, which award half the points.

LOL
I don't know how I missed that.
Gotta get my eyes checked now. Sorry for the hassle.
391  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitTournament.com - Provably the most fair Bitcoin game in the Universe! on: July 19, 2015, 06:03:17 PM
Game results shows only after the game is finished. There was no other person betting at this time so that's why it took so long, system check this every 2 minutes.

What!?
Two minutes. That's far too much.
Reduce it to maybe 10 seconds at the max, anything more ends up taking far too long, even if it by some stroke of magic becomes active.
392  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much more would you gamble if you found a provably fair EV+ casino? on: July 19, 2015, 04:06:25 PM
Depends on a lot of things specially how much +EV it is. Obviously since its +EV means you will win more than the house, so flat betting a lot based on your bankroll will likely be the best way to go . I would flat bet 0.001 BTC if I had a bankroll of 1 BTC continously .

Well the best way to go would be to use the kelly system but i really dont understand the point of this thread and im pretty sure it should go to off-topic and not the gamble section since its a pretty stupid post.

Ahh, I just read about it, sorry for my lack of knowledge.
I was attempting to figure out whether dice sites having EV- actually makes much of a difference to the average player, and whether the average player would change their betting strategy and quantity with EV+
393  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much more would you gamble if you found a provably fair EV+ casino? on: July 19, 2015, 03:46:20 PM
In this scenario that would never happen in real life you just follow the standard BR management, making sure that your chances of going broke are 0%, and make a boring job with consistant profit out of it.

Alright.
Explain your standard bankroll management.

It's a casino with a 1% edge towards you, that any bet will on average get 101% of the value.
You can choose any odds, and you will get a favoured bet.
If you choose 50% odds, you'll win 2.02 units if you bet 1 unit.

There is no foolproof method, gambling always has a risk, but I'd like to see you try to explain.

395  Economy / Gambling / How much more would you gamble if you found a provably fair EV+ casino? on: July 19, 2015, 11:26:13 AM
A billionaire decides to waste some money and creates a provably fair EV+ casino.
Don't liken this to investing in the house of a dice site, as you don't have as much security as you get, with the maximum winnnings and that sort of things.
How much would you gamble in this hypothetical EV+ casino?
396  Economy / Gambling / Re: Direct Dice - 10 BTC Jackpot ! Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin & Darkcoin ! on: July 19, 2015, 11:18:13 AM
Wait, is your VIP program applicable for Dice?
Then you need to change it, and urgently.

1,000,000 bets of 0.001 needed to get 10 BTC.
1,000 BTC bet at minimum.
Expected house rake: 1,000 * 0.99/100 = 9.9 BTC
Reward given: 10 BTC

Total house rake: -0.1/1000 = -0.01% house edge -> IT IS EV+
The only reason why it will still not practically be EV+ for the player is due to transaction fees (no deposit system in DirectBet)

EDIT: And this is not considering the jackpot. That would increase it to upto -0.3%!
397  Economy / Gambling / Re: Direct Dice - 10 BTC Jackpot ! Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin & Darkcoin ! on: July 19, 2015, 08:30:22 AM
But, how the jackpot winner is being chosen from the list of anonymous bets ? Could someone please explain ?

If the Lucky Number is 101 your bet will always win no matter what you selected, and if your bet stake is at least 0.01 BTC, 1 LTC, 1 DASH or 10,000 DOGE and is not part of a losing Toto ~ Parlay slip, it will also be eligible for the 10 BTC Jackpot.

The chance to roll 101 is approx. once out of 1 million rolls.

For more technical details on how Direct Dice is rolled in a provably fair manner, please check out :

http://www.directbet.eu/Rules.cshtml#Dice

Interesting.
This changes the house edge if you bet with the minimum required to get the jackpot.

Assuming you get the jackpot every million bets:

For 0.01 BTC:
(0.01*1,000,000) = 10,000 BTC Wagered
0.99% = 99 BTC expected house winnings. 10 BTC won in jackpot.
0.89% effective house edge (99-10/10,000)

For 10k doge = 0.0035 BTC:
(0.0035*1,000,000) = 3,500 BTC Wagered
0.99% = 34.65 BTC expected house winnings. 10 BTC won in jackpot
0.7% effective house edge (34.65-10/3500)

For 1 DASH = 0.013 BTC:
(0.013*1,000,000) = 13,000 BTC Wagered
0.99% = 128.7 expected house winnings. 10 BTC won in jackpot
0.91% effective house edge(128.7-10/13,000)

For 1 LTC = 0.015:
(0.015*1,000,000) = 15,000 BTC wagered
0.99% = 148.5 expected house winnings, 10 BTC won in jackpot
0.92% effective house edge (148.5-10/15,000)

What does this mean?
Attempting to win the jackpot slightly reduces the house edge, with the most significant effect seen on dogecoin.
The formula ((1 million * house edge * min bet size) - jackpot size)/(1 million * min bet size) yields the effective house edge

Assuming the rules stay the same,
((1,000,000 * 0.99/100 * min bet) - 10))/(1,000,000 * min bet)
This becomes 0 at around min bet = 0.001 and further on becomes EV+
If doge drops below 10 satoshis, or litecoin or DASH drops under 0.001 BTC, this jackpot will end up causing DirectDice to be EV+

398  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the dice sites with the lowest house edge? on: July 19, 2015, 05:58:14 AM
When I see a website offering a really low house edge, it puts me off completely. It just screams SCAM imo. Anyone else feel the same way?

Not necessarily scam, but it really isn't feasible.
0.1% house edge just means one tenth the revenue. But the thing is, in the sea of 1% house edge sites with better features and better reputations, they might make almost no revenue in exchange for some traffic.
399  Economy / Digital goods / Re: selling gyft starbuck 10$ card on: July 19, 2015, 05:31:14 AM
selling a card i bought it to see how gyft works and i don't really drink starbucks

.03btc= 8$~

See how gyft works? I don't really understand what you are saying...
It's a card so you would have to mail it? Are you in the US?
If you're willing to go through escrow (because of some neg feedback)
I would buy it for $5. Let me know!

If it was bought on gyft, it would be a virtual gift card.
Check out gyft.com

But OP, this is rather suspicious.
On Gyft, you can directly gift it to someone. But that would involve entering the person you're gifting it to before you buy it.
Also, with low trust, it is hard to buy even with an escrow. If the CC is stolen, the person with the giftcard will still get the blame.
