South Africa is not having their main bowlers in this tournament because they are playing in the IPL and even in that situation they lost 3 to order wicket while chasing and it is not going to be easy for them. They have an entire day to win the match but they lack the batsman of high quality to play the anchor role, but if they are able to then it would be historic.

I will be surprised if Bangladesh batting continue in the third session tomorrow.

Bangladeshi bowlers have done a good job by bowling out SA at 204 runs. In reply Bangladesh batting is disappointed as 3 out of 4 top order batsmen are back in the pavilion on just 11 run. On Day 5, Bangladesh will need 263 runs to win while SA need 7 more wickets to win. Bangladesh had good opportunity to win this test but they have very much lost that.

Lots of political development going on in the country. We need a stable government in the center since our economy is not in a position to bear such political instability. Dollar ha already gone to PKR 184 and still uncontrollable. With yesterday instability, economy will go down further. I pray and hope that thing get settled very soon.

I just opened espncricinfo.com to see whether Australia are also today on there route to 300 or not and I was shocked to see that Australia are 200/9. There last batsmen Abbott is batting good, scored so far 45 of 35 runs. Aus lost 9th wicket on 166 still crossed 200.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: April 02, 2022, 09:49:43 AM

Already Bangladesh have lost 4 wickets. So, reaching 300 runs is a big thing. Even if there is no wicket fall during the morning session Bangladesh won't reach 300 runs. If it was in Bangladesh ground it could've happened. The game is being played in South African pitch where SA players have the advantage. Anyhow Bangladesh is improving with time, and lets wait and see.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy the Bangladeshi opener is still on crease, he is not out on 74 runs and Bangladesh is totally dependent on him. Bangladesh right now are 200 runs behind and they have 5 wickets left. If SA can take a lead of 100 in first innings, things will be very much in favour of SA.

Third ODI between Australia and Pakistan is about to begin shortly. Pakistan have won the toss third consecutive time and for the third time they are bowling first. Pakistan need to control Australia for scoring 300+ runs as they did in first two games. Pakistan bowling is very weak throughout ODI series, let's see whether they can  stop Aus from making 300 runs.

A moment of proud for all Pakistanis, fifa unrevealed the ball for its World Cup 2022 Al-Rihla. Sources says its made in Pakistan. Its 14th consecutive time Adidas providing football for fifa WC. On official Adidas website I didn't find any clue that ball is from Pakistan. Had we have our own company, we can launch directly in the international market with our own country name. For now, Adidas will supply our balls with its own name.

We have heard a lot of rumors like this before and a majority of them were not proven. And obviously, IPL being the best cricket league it will face things like that even in the future. Where money and fame are involved in such a way, it's quite sure that there is going to be a lot of chatting going on like this. I think we can assume something if we want to exercise our freedom of speech but unless it's proven, we shouldn't.

It's best in terms of money and entertainment not in terms of quality else we haven't seen such drastic performance of Indian team in T20 WC 2021. Since there is no evidence of fixing so we can't say anything about that aspect. For the moment we just need to enjoy the action going on in IPL.

Thanks for clarifying this issue. It's just April fool fun.

So guys Imran Khan government is going in Pakistan. What do you think about the letter, which imran Khan says is written by USA. Though USA denies any such letter but we can't say that USA has zero influence in Pakistan government. Its not good for economy of Pakistan which is already shaking.

There is new mechanism in bitcointalk.org, now before posting you have to answer a very tough question and that tells your IQ level. I see it something as to stop people from commenting too much or you can comment too much if you are willing to answer too many tough questions correctly.
Is it something same like merit system Huh

I thought that South Africa would score lots of runs easily, but at end of day one they have scored just 233 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Furthermore South Africa will definitely have the home advantage, and if their batsmen can post a huge total then we’ll see Bangladesh crumble under pressure and eventually lose the match.

SA deserve  to lose test series to Bangladesh as there major players including Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada and Rassie van der Dussen prefer IPL over this test series. SA have a good home record against Asian teams but they lost ODI series to Bangladesh. Still SA board has no hesitation in releasing players for IPL over test series, if money is preference then you shouldn't he worry about such series results.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 01, 2022, 04:40:57 AM
Perhaps this is an indication that there is not enough talent available in India for a 10-team competition? I had mentioned this many months ago. The BCCI should seriously consider raising the threshold of foreign players in the XI from 4 to 5, and that in the squad from 8 to 10. Yesterday, for both the teams the disadvantage came from young local players (Mukesh Choudhary, Tushar Deshpande.etc). If the BCCI want to maintain the quality, then they should allow one more overseas player in the XI.

I think it's not about quality, as we know that IPL is money rich league and BCCI doesn't wanna lose all the money slipping away to foreign players. That's why they are giving more preference to local domestic players over foreign players and its a good approach. That's why useless players like ishan who has merely played for India is most expensive player of IPL 2022.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 01, 2022, 04:36:00 AM

Well.. I am getting mixed signals for the second ODI. The Pakistani bowlers looked pathetic and they allowed the Australians to build a total of around 350 in the first place. But at the same time, their batsmen exceeded the expectation and managed to chase down the total. It was mostly a calculating mistake from the Australians, who thought that 350 would be enough on a flat track. Batsmen like Ben McDermott took some time to settle in, and that proved to be too costly in the end. Also, they scored at less than a run per ball during overs 40-45.

Not again. On same track we have a test match and ODI which Australia won and nobody complained about the pitch, everyone said Australia is good team that's why they won. Now this time it's Pakistan who chased down a mighty total of 348 rather then saying its a good effort from batting credit goes to flat track.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 31, 2022, 06:10:48 PM

Never understand why they need to bat second after winning the toss especially when they have faced the music in the 1st ODI  Angry

In this 2nd ODI, Pakistan already lost this match as I don't think we have the batting strength to chase down the 350 target. So far both the openers are looking solid but I doubt they can continue with the same pace through the 50 overs.

So now you must have idea of why they batted second. Its highest successful run chase by Pakistan in ODI. Pakistan have lost 10 consecutive ODI to Australia. Last time they won ODI against Australia was in 2017. Pakistan proved once again that they are unpredictable.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 28, 2022, 06:18:47 PM

I have to say I expected a lot better from England in the second innings. It's just not acceptable from a team like England to just be all out for so cheap. England just needed to hold on to their wickets and stay on the pitch, if the date that I think the runs would have come eventually but they failed to do so.

And it was an easy win for West Indies by 10 wickets. The highest individual runs for the whole England team in the second linings was 31 which is absolutely unbelievable.

England lost Ashes 4-0 but thats something understandable as they were aganest worlds best Test team. West Indies is not in good form these days and they lost to Ireland in recent ODI series 2-1. Everyone was expecting England to regain there form in this series but England lost both ODI and test series, this is a big worry sign for England.

It was quite an easy match for the South Africa women's team against India and they won comfortably by 8 wickets. In my opinion, India should have put a lot more runs on the board to defend against a team like South Africa. India it was just not enough runs on the board and South Africa had an easy match. It will be really interesting to see an Australia versus South Africa final in my opinion.

I don't know which match you were referring to as lat match between India and SA was a nail biter. Indian team gave a good target of 274 runs and SA on very last ball was able to chase it down. A no ball in the very last over from India did the job for SA. Overall its a good performance fom Indian team in this WC.

Well, sometimes it's not about revenue. I was merely pointing out "Spectator experience" in the stands.

Yes, rotation policy helps states to hosts international match but imo Test match should be schedule in crowd pulling stadiums only, no matter what (Let's say fixed 7-10 stadiums, keep rotation policy for LOI) and make them at least decent for the spectators. Grounds has no problem but facilities sucks when catering the crowds for ex no shades when its hot, shitty food etc, state boards literally don't want to invest much energy in it.

T-20 and ODI experiences are satisfactory-excellent in India and worth every penny and IPL experience is amazing tho but it's only because of franchises but that's not the case with the Test format.

Thanks for providing such info. IPL matches are also payed on same venues where international matches are held or you have separate stadiums for IPL? The stadiums look too good on TV specially Eden Gardens cricket ground in Kolkata. Indian are fond of cricket and even we see full pack stadium in Tests.

Total run was good to win but KP played really well. Team combination and contribution was so good. They were so confident to win though total run wasn't easy to chase. Really well played from KP team. This match was so enjoyable to watch.

Good to see King Kohli getting his form back after not having a good time in international cricket. He has also given up the captaincy in IPL, which is a big plus for him so now he can focus totally on his game. There were many who placed bet on RCB after they scored 205 runs. I am fortunate enough as I was about to place bet on RCB but for some reasons I didn't.

I am not sure what BCCI can do in a situation even if some of the players try to involve in sports betting and other activities. Even in the NBA there are players like Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley who are known to be notorious in sports gambling and there were evidences that came out later that those players used to gamble in the matches they used to participate. You cannot blame the NBA for that, you need to blame the individual doing that rather than the entire league.

No board can completely eliminate match or spot fixing they can only play there part in stopping it. The betting and gambling mafia in every sports is strong enough to have roots in regulating bodies also. So far BCCI has done a great job in keeping ipl free from fixing. Not many incidents have been reported so far.
