Did Usman Kahawaja mention anything like that in any interview or it is just your thoughts based on his birth/migration history? When boards do feel about security concerns, I guess no professional player will have different opinion than their boards.

"I feel it's very easy for players and organisations to say no to Pakistan, because it's Pakistan," Khawaja said in Brisbane. "I think the same thing would apply too, if it were Bangladesh. But nobody would say no to India, if they're in the same situation.
"Money talks, we all know that, and that's probably a big part of it. They keep proving time and time again through their tournaments that they're a safe place to play cricket. I think there's no reason why we shouldn't go back."

I think this very well answers your query.

Enjoying the recent matches of the team England and India is very annoying. England lost their first wicket by 68 runs today. And losing the remaining 9 wickets, and they collected only 56 runs. I don't understand why such irregular players are consistently given a place in the squad.
The situation in India is very similar to that in England. There is no one in the team who can consistently perform well. Players must be patient and responsible before playing a Test match.

England is still a good side, I am sure they can perform well against top teams like Pakistan, NZ, India etc. In Ashes, Australia came well prepared and it seems that they have some roadmap for this series which they followed well throughout the series. England on the other hand have zero prepration for this series.

Meanwhile Srilanka has won first ODI againest Zim and lead 3 match bilateral ODI series 1-0. Zim gave a good target by batting first i.e. 296. Sean Williams was top scorrer from Zim as he scored 100 runs. SL in reply chased it quite easily and finished the match in 48.3 overs. Good to see both SL and Zim giving good cricket.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 16, 2022, 12:46:53 PM

Finally England have ended the innings for 124 runs. I don't know what is happening with the England cricket team. The openers gave a good start. The first wicket fell in 68 runs and the second wicket fell in 82 runs. Scoring the next 42 runs England have lost 8 wickets. England have already played four test matches, somehow they could've got adopted to the atmosphere. So, it is purely the lack of performance and responsibility.

England will be happy to end Ashes with 4-0 rather then 5-0. There are no words for England performance in this Ashes. They were overconfident before the series and that costed them the series. This is first time there openers scored few runs but it was neutralized by lower batting order.

If you are aware of NFT buzz then you are also aware that it wont last that long. Try to stay alert about your investment in NFT based project this hype may go down at any time. You just need to exit them on right time.

Thats the beauty of crypto world, you have to take risk at the right time to get your reward. Though I dont see much risk in investing in this project, as they have defined a clear short coming in decentralized storage. Once they launched actual product then it will be difficult to catch it.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MASS is profitable and Cheap to mine ... Here is why? on: January 15, 2022, 08:00:16 PM
After seeing the whitepaper of the MASS project I think we should consider because this project has high potential to develop in the future, although there are still many old projects that we can currently invest but mass coins are also one that must be relied on, especially now there is a bounty kompanye that supports the project of course this will add to the appeal of investors, And currently the price of MASS is very good because this is a new project present.

There is no doubt that MASS is a good project and it has made huge progress in short span of time. Its not a new project as its launched almost 2 years ago. In these 2 years MASS has earned some good business and given good ROI to its investors. Right now its price is ideal for buying.

China is getting even more restricted than games in Japan.

In Japan, only international delegations were in a bubble, and officials could leave and enter the Olympic city.
In China, no one is allowed to leave the event location, including staff. And when it is necessary to leave the place, they go in well-identified vehicles, so that in case of an accident, the support teams take the necessary precautions.

That's a good approach. If we want to move things with covid19 then we have to place such restrictions. Even with such restricted approach you cant guarantee there will be zero covid19 case in winter Olympics but good thing is winter Olympics are going to start on scheduled date. I am excited to see ice hockey in action.

I remember Ireland has beaten Pakistan in 2007 WC but there is no news about Ireland team since then. ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League – Standings are still at early stage as countries like NZ, Afghanistan and SA are not in top 8. They have only played 3 matches while Ireland after playing 15 matches is at no 4. Things will get clear after all teams have played equal no of games.
Now ODI is not having good future because in near future we will have some good number of T20 and test matches with due to bad governance of ICC we are losing some good things Ireland can do some better in this short term format with having good players and experience of this, but I am feeling in near future we are not going to have equal opportunities for all teams because many boards are not accepting rules by ICC as they need own governments policies to be followed for having in touch with this all, so currently any team can go on top with any points and big teams can lose their positions nothing is clear.

New Zealand, South Africa and Afghanistan have no ODI's and for the future it's still unclear who is going to play how many matches.

Cricket is progressing on its own, we cant say ICC has any role in spreading cricket to new countries of the world. One thing is clear that countries are no more interested in ODI and Test, focus is only on T20. Its better to restrict cricket to Test and T20 format only. Players are unable to keep form in so many formats.

I liked aas Jaffer's comment on his retirement, when his captaincy started wining series is foreign pitches was considered as an extraordinary thing and today is the time when if India loses a series at foreign pitch it's considered as a big setback and extraordinary thing. I don't know why critics always bash Kohli for India's losses and honestly I have never seen these people applauding him for the wins. If you go by the statistics he was even better than Dhoni in his captaincy.

I think its sequel of his removal from ODI and T20 captaincy. Kohli realized that BCCI will remove him from Test captaincy also, so he stepped down himself before he is removed by BCCI. As a batsman he can now perform well since he has no more pressure of captaincy. Its not justified to compare kohli with dohni, as later has a class not only as a player but as a human being.

How did you guys missed this news?  Undecided

I remember Rambo was talking about taking down western cricketing block when NZ and ENG cancelled their tour and ofc non stop anti PIG 3 statements over the years from different PCB's officials.

But now Rambo is saying that it should be PIG 4. What about SL, SA, NZ, BAN etc?

https://twitter.com/iramizraja/status/1480961596197384192

I also came through this news but ignored it. Don't know what makes Raja propose such plan, when India has strictly refused to play with Pakistan due to political reasons. Also CA plan to visit Pakistan in March is sceptical. In such situation it looks funny that PCB chairman has proposed such plan, lets see what other boards say about this.

Covid19 is getting complicated once again, omicron variant is getting out of control in many countries once again. I don't think winter Olympics will be cancelled but they will defiantly go on without spectators from outside china. Its best to go with this approach, as we have to live with this virus for sometime.

@blatchorn WI is a weak team now and yes they do have brilliant individuals in their ranks, but overall for me they’re a weak team and hence I’m not at all surprised that they were beaten so easily. Lastly WI can yet turn their fortunes around if their best player’s play more international cricket, but I can understand why they chose other leagues over international cricket due to more revenues being involved.

If these leagues continue to progress then teams like WI will go down in performance since there boards are not rich and leagues pay more to players. Its very unfortunate but its a reality we have to accept. WI has produced great players in the form of Brian Lara, Walsh but now there is hardly any noticeable name in there team.

I guess this is a last series for Pujara and Rahane, not expecting them to get another chance in home season at all or may be bring Pujara back when we're travelling Australia but i doubt if there is any series planned for next couple of years.

Lord Thakur gave much needed breakthrough but i'm afraid its a lost cause now. We had our chances guys.

SA need 41 more runs with 7 wickets in hands and that very much tells the story. Before the series everyone was predicting that India will win this series very easily but it went other way around. Because IPL was not happening now all SA key players are in the team which turn the table around. India will have to wait more to win a Test series in SA.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 14, 2022, 10:38:22 AM
@galambo you’re absolutely correct many player’s perform in the league, but fizzle out on the big stage hence they should be groomed and selected from these type of tournaments so they can perform continuously for their respective teams.

Cant say whether Aus can win from here or not, as match is once again delayed because of rain. But one thing is very clear that Aus are now in very comfortable position as they are now 241/6. England wasn't able to take advantage of dismissing top orders at early stage of innings. England wont mind another draw.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 14, 2022, 07:12:26 AM

I remember the tine when unmukta chand was captain on india under 19 time that time I had a lot of craze of that world cup which india won in the final. But now really before reading this thread I was not even aware that u19 world is starting soon. May be before thete is too much cricket all around the world and because of that this is getting less media coverage.

Everyday we have some T20 league going on Lanka league, BBL and so on. Even leagues are no more popular among viewers anymore because of its excess. U-19 cricket is essential as it produce players that are available for national squad for longer period of time. Players picked just based on there leagues performance cant survive ODI and Test.

Last day, everyone was saying that the wicket was not good and hence the batsmen were unable to score. Well, its not true as south Africans are batting pretty well on this pitch and they are close to another upset. If south Africa did not panic from here onwards, they will win the test series against India.
India were favorite at the beginning of the series. Who would have thought or predicted this result before the start of the series?

SA are in good position to win the match though we cant rule out India completely, as one to two early wickets will defiantly make SA go panic. Kohli is defiantly getting frustrated after losing his captaincy and at the verge of losing Test series with SA. 'Whole country against 11 guys' - Rahul, Kohli and others direct anger at broadcaster after DRS saves Elgar.

I also feel they would not do the same for IPL and we all know the reason. If they do try the same then players might leave the national team as they do get paid more in IPL. I still do not support this decision of CSA. They should reconsider it.

The decision has been made in the light of recent performance of SA team. Main players leave national assignments for leagues. It happened last year when players left series with Pakistan for IPL, South Africa To Allow IPL-Bound Players To Leave Pakistan ODI Series Midway: Report. IPL is a different thing, IPL not only pays the players but also the board. If PSL want SA players then they have to pay PCB some $$$.

Australia     VS     England

Team England decided to field after winning the toss. And at the beginning of the day they were able to pick up 3 valuable wickets with just 12 runs. Warner was out for 0 off 22 balls. Usman Khawaja was out for 6 and Smith was out for zero. Now Labuschange and Head are at the crease. Their partnership is 67 runs. The funny thing is that Australia collected 66 runs in the last 10 overs. Travis Head scored 27 runs off 24 balls. His striker rate is 112.5.

Thats the beauty of Australia that they have rescue players at all level. Good news for England is that Marnus Labuschagne was bowled by Broad and not at dinner Aus are 85/4. If England can get remaining 6 wickets under 200 then England will be in good position, I still have feeling that Aus can mange 250 from here on.

I am not sure how did you conclude that IPL has destroyed Indian cricket standards. IPL has given a lot of opportunity to those young players who might have not got selected in the Indian A team because of fierce competition. Thanks to IPL he would still have a chance to get selected and also get decent pay every year. T20 is more watched than any other format of cricket therefore BCCI has been focusing more on this format.

Its not only bcci who is focusing more on T20 rather all boards are focusing on there leagues or IPL less PCB (they have no reason to get excited for IPL). The future of cricket is T20 that's very much clear now. Test matches are losing there worth, only people check score at the end of day. Nobody sit and watch test for whole day.
