921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How well does Bitcoin function as a currency? on: October 01, 2018, 08:24:17 AM
Successful currencies meet three criteria:

(1) they are in widespread use as medium of exchange
(2) they serve as unit of account
(3) they are a stable store of value.

Most sovereign currencies fully meet all three criteria.

What about Bitcoin?
Well, i think that bitcoins still fullfil some of the requirements and functions as a currency. Bitcoins are also meant as an medium of exchange and several peoples are now going for them which means that they are really spreading more widely. Also a lot of stores are been started which accepts bitcoins as a mean of exchange there and bitcoins flow into the circulation.

Bitcoins too serve as a unit of account untill and unless they are accepted as a mean of exchange. They are not managed by a individual firm or company and it makes them a way diffrrent from the other currencies which still make a better unit of account.

Now moving forward, bitcoins are not a stable store of value due to the heavy fluctuating price and i think that this makes bitcoins a bit different from the sovereign currencies.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seling or holding your altcoin ? on: September 30, 2018, 01:50:39 PM
Well the prices had reached a major dip and even in that situation i had most of my coins with me and i am HODLING them untill i really see some good profits. Orelse i would sell my coins only if i see that the future for that coin is no more profitable and it would soon be a dead coin. In any other situation i would never sell my coins unless and untill they give me some profits. I invest in a particular coin and forget about it untill the coin gives me atleast 20x profits.

Never be greedy and HODL untill you can so that you can really gain some good profits. Markets would always see some similar ups and downs and in such markets, selling our coins in panic will only make that coin more unstable rathar than giving us any profits. Holding you coin can give a better price for the coin some or the other day and it could really be appreciated. I am currently holding 17+ coins excluding tokens.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: September 30, 2018, 01:16:09 PM
I expected it to be a one sided match, but Bangladesh could have easily won it with a little more experience. In the end, the Indians who didn't panicked under pressure managed to beat them. Anyway, good performance by the Bangladeshis.

It is never a loss for Bangladesh as reaching finals itself ia huge win for them and after that making India win on the last ball itself showed they almost made it big match. It is now time for other teams to think how will they face such a huge challenge from the likes of Bangladesh.

A loss is a loss, nevertheless. If Bangladesh wants the cricket lovers to take them seriously, then they need to win major tournaments such as Asia Cup, Champions trophy and even the cricket world cup.
Bangladesh really plays well but i have seen most of the matches they play are either tied of won by the opponent. This Asia cup, finals were between Bangladesh and India, and bangladesh played well but can't cope up to win the series.

They really played well and if they really want peoples to draw some attention towards them, they should start winning some matches. Bangladesh is not that famous cricket team from the start and they had made up building some reputation in between but loosing some matches again made them loose it.

I individually respect each team and their members but the major part which comes in accross with bangladesh team is that they don't have that good practice to win the tournaments. They should try building their tactics some more and also should practice some more hard to get into the fame.
924  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the usual mistakes that newbie traders usually do? on: September 30, 2018, 01:09:25 PM
As a new kid in the cryptocurrency world, we often have our share of first mistakes in trading which helps us to be able to become better and wiser in the next transactions. What are these usual or common mistakes that newbies commit?
Newbies goes for trading which can guve them profits in short term as they have rarely any interest for long term. Also they do forget to really study the phenomenons affecting the market price of the coins they are investing into and also do not much concentrate onto the daily volume, buy/sell orders, etc and this creates some problems for them ahead.

What i have seen the most is that newbies rarely hold their coins and also do some panic sell which gives them none profit and also makes the coin unstable. Newbies should have some patience before getting into trading because patience can really affect your profit rates.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will control the world economy!!!!! is it true? on: September 30, 2018, 01:04:07 PM
sorry, I think that assumption is wrong, Bitcoin is not a group like Rothschild or another group that controls the world economy, but if Bitcoin will control the way and the world transaction system, I really agree because that is Bitcoin with its Blockchain technology...
good point mate, bitcoin is not institutional that able to controll world economy.but it could replace current global payment system if bitcoin has fast transaction speed and low fees.when it happen , international trade will using bitcoin replace L/C or others system.
By L/C, do you mean Local Currency?
I actually don't think that bitcoins can really replace the local currencies untill and unless they are decentralised.
There is not huge point is making this topic go viral as we all know that bitcoins are going well as they are being decentralised rather than being centralised to be able to use as an replace to local currencies.

Blockchain transactions are a way different to understand for many users who are not that related to the cryptocurrencies. Transactions with the fiat currencies are really much easy to handle and also has no transaction cost. Fiat and cryptocurrencies are much different from each other and also non relative.

Going back to OP, i don't think that bitcoins can really control the world economy but instead it could have some major impact on stabilising the economy. If majority of peoples from a certain country are related to cryptocurrencies, than indeed the economy of that specific country can rise up.
926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Regulations For Cryptocurrency? on: September 30, 2018, 12:54:33 PM
Yes, until now Bitcoin hasn't been legally obtained from the government in some parts of the world. but that doesn't become an obstacle for bitcoin to keep long life. because until now bitcoin transactions still happen and cryptocurrency can still make a profit. Over time, the government began to study the blockchain system which is the latest technology in the creation of bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
I don't hope so that the governments are really trying to study the blockchain transactions and also they don't usually show any much interest into thr world of cryptos. Cryptocurrencies actually is not regulated by the government and also it only makes some movement onto the demand and supply of the users.

Also I don't think that cryptocurrencies need any more regulations as already it is doing great as it is now. Also i think that several peoples have now started to draw some attention towards the cryptos even if it is not regulated by the centralised firm. Cryptocurrencies only stay best untill they are decentralised.

Most of the governments have also started to accept bitcoins legally and bitcoins are growing much well there. What we all need is some great support from the users so that cryptocurrencies can really bloom up.
927  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: September 29, 2018, 04:50:16 AM
Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading?
i hard to say when you sometimes tired from trading or have stress from ico or lose part of deposit. What you do to relax refresh youself and get inspiration for new trade. How much time you need to refresh youself for new hight.
Even i do get stressed sometimes and also trading and other works makes me loose my intrest but in such situation i simply take a bit rest and go out for a drive along with my loved ones.
I usually hangout and all of my stress gets relieved.
If i work for more than 4-5 hours my brain stops thinking and it really goes much bad for me than.

I always prefer to work when i have a fresh mood and also when i have my wish to do so. I cant work forcefully and it always does not allow me to give my best onto the work i am concentrating upon. Also i do get myself refreshed in an hour and get back to work once i am out of stress. Sitting infornt of the laptop for hours is not actually that easy and generates a lot of stress.
928  Economy / Economics / Re: Centralized or Decentralized for cryptocurrencies? on: September 29, 2018, 04:39:35 AM
<Snip>
There are two types of cryptocurrency Currencies
1st: Centralised Currency
2nd: Decentralised Cryptocurrency

There is not centralised cryptocurrency i think that also the currencies which has some of the relations with the government are centralised currencies like the national fiat currency you use.
There is a lot of difference between currency and cryptocurrency.
Understand the difference and you will get your answers.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why investors invest in bitcoin though some of them loose it ? on: September 29, 2018, 04:36:04 AM
As per my knowledge, Some investors invest in bitcoin when the price reach to 20,000$ but now price is hardly more than 10000$.
Should they loose their money?
But still investors are invest in why ?
Well, i can see that OP is quite old when bitcoins were above $10,000. If you see the price for bitcoins now, it is below $10,000 and yet most of the poeples are holding their bitcoins.
I think that not only the peoples who bought some bitcoins at $20,000 are holding the bitcoins but also those who got bitcoins at a dip or the mid value are holding their bitcoins. Also i think that most of the peoples who had bought their bitcoins at price above $15,000 might have panic sold their bitcoins.

None of the investor is going to loose their funds investing into bitcoins and each major investor will surely bear some good fruits for his patience. Petience plays a vital role and it can really give you some good profits too. Don't panic sell and you will win by holding your coins untill they really reach the moon.
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is independent? or depends on fiat currency on: September 28, 2018, 03:55:53 PM
Well, i think bitcoins are not dependent on any of the fiat currencies and are totally independent. Being independent makes them bear good price according to the demand. None of the government compares thier national fiat currency with any of the cryptocurrencies including bitcoins so i think that it is not really related.

Yes, bitcoins were truely been made to make the transactions without involving the government which can also be called as anonymous transactions. But mostly bitcoins were than been used for some major illegal uses and also some of the terrorists have been used bitcoins to get arms and amunations from the dark net.

Thats why governments have not yet made bitcoins legal and they are been facing the issue for legalisation. Also the governments themselves will never allow bitcoins to be compared with their national currencies and also they won't actually accept bitcoins that fastly.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone gamble in race sports? on: September 28, 2018, 12:10:25 PM
I'm betting just on Formula 1 sometimes. I'm not following other racing series like NASCAR, Indycar, WRC, DTM and others, so I can't bet on it. And not many sportsbooks have wide range of racing events to offer, probably too small demand for it.
<Snip>
I think that Tennis is amongst most popular sports to bet, offcourse, not as popular as football or basketball, but still, lot of people are betting on tennis.
Even i do go for Formula 1 rarely and i have a different type of intrest into formula 1 racing. I always atleast bed on one of my favourite F1 racer in each Formula 1 racing.
But it truely is much rare and also not much peoples are engaged into racing sports. I guess because most of the good gambling sites online does not show any support towards racing sports.
Also if we consider tenis, it really has a goof craze and demand globally and peoples are getting quickly attracted by tenis which is making tenis one of the known games.
932  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis vital? on: September 28, 2018, 12:06:19 PM
Hi I was wondering what the general consensus was on the use of technical analysis in making long term investments. I know short term day traders get allot of use out of it but if I'm investing in a project based on fundamentals does the technical analysis matter?
Even if you are going for a project with fundamental analysis, the technical analysis matters the same there too.
Each project is been judged on various phenomenons includig fundamental and technical analysis.
If you want a really profitable project to invest into than always go for deep research and always tend to learn each major update from them.
It really helps a differentiate scam projects from real projects.

936  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin volume is still rising ? on: September 28, 2018, 05:46:55 AM
Bitcoin is still popular right now and i think this will make rise and be back again to its high price like last year because bitcoin is still the number one coin in cryptocurrency and people keep on using it.
Thats also rising the volume currently and also several peoples are going towards bitcoins to invest some of their funds into it.
For me, i earn bitcoins rather than investing into them so i would always be with the long life journey of bitcoins.
I will hardly get far from them as my financial life is mostly stable due to bitcoins only.
Bitcoins are really going much popular and that is going to tend a highly profitable future for bitcoins ahead.
Amongst each of the major cryptocurrencies, bitcoins are been considered amongst the top and also can be considered as the mother coin which controls all rest alts.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make more companies to accept bitcoin payment. on: September 28, 2018, 05:42:33 AM
Let's make more companies to accept bitcoin payment.

I have send email to some companies in the UK to ask them to add Bitpay as a payment option.

Let's start an Operation Bitcoin. All of us send emails to companies to ask them to accept bitcoin.  Smiley

Even i have considered it a long time ago.
Most of the firms are not willing to accept bitcoins as a mean of payment due to the various risk factors.
Several firms and companies have already signed petitions about accepting bitcoins as a mean of payment but they have not yet reacted onto it.
Accepting bitcoins is not that easy by the local community and it will take a lot of efforts to prove them the benefits of bitcoins.
Hope it soon takes place and atleast some major companies should start accepting cryptos.

939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction becomes more popular with young people over time on: September 27, 2018, 04:22:24 AM
After recent changes to the merit system, I am trying to do something useful and contribute to the forum. And this is what I collect, hopefully it will change my merit.

This is an article about that, a gambling disorder in most young people
- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5841330/
As stated in the article, experts and analysts know the causes and issues that lead to gambling addiction, they have clearly spoken about the dangers, consequences, and effects of gambling on the nerves and health of a person then there is a series of methods to stop that. But we are still here very clearly, the number is still increasing significantly every year, it has no signs of diminishing, even rising dizziness.

And the problem here is I want to ask why that happens? All the information is complete but people still can not solve the gambling addiction problem, the analysis is useless or our greed still dominates all.

Please let me know your opinion on this issue and if you have enough power, what would you do to solve this

Yes, i do strongly believe you.
Young peoples are really getting towards gambling much faster.
They are not treating gambling as a source of income but they are getting addicted by it and addicition by gambling is really much bad and it can cost you a lot.
I have seen a lot of peoples who have wasted their lives in gambling and they simply spend all of their hard earnings into gambling.
Gambling is not actually that bad but should be treated much cautiously.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good coins to buy now and hold for a long term? on: September 27, 2018, 04:18:41 AM
Hi, I have just registered to get some ideas about good coins to buy and hodl for a long term.
I don't want to invest in coins that are now in a bubble but coins with a real project behind with a promising future and of course increase of its price.
I also don't like to invest in ICO's.
I am watching some projects that have interesting platforms already launched in beta and still don't have much media attention, and still it is easy to get in direct touch with their teams and still are not on big exchanges.

Any tips?
First of all, i would like to know about your previous experience?
If you are experienced pretty much in trading and HODLING that probably you can bear some good fruits but if this is your first time, than get ready you need to work much hard.
Also if you are looking for some potential coins now rathar than ICO projects than i would suggest you to get into Etherum.
Price for Etherum is 200$+ now and it had also dipped below 170$ so it can be easy to catch ether back at that time.
Also Ether is a greatest project and has the potential to reach great heights.
If you HODL ether for atleast 6 months, you can bear some really exciting profits.
