hi, i noticed a strange account and just wondering if anyone sees the same. starts with a scammer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=231646 -- this user has an interesting history check out their only SENT positive feedback, (risked amount 120BTC?!?) it goes to this guy, who is this guy... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=128900 "This user's password was reset recently. This user's email address was changed recently. " hacked sold account? (btcdigger2013) p.s: i used an old alt i never knew i controlled anymore to post this, cool haha General rule of thumb I use is: No Reference, I treat most as a Neutral or I overlook it. User looks like a troll.

My original account was created in 2014 at least, because I remember posting here the issue I had with a bitcoin scammer, that year.
I read something about giving the associated Bitcoin address, but I don't remember to have any Bitcoin address associated to my account....
I have the original Gmail account for that account, because I'm the owner, I had really important private messages on that account regarding that bitcoin scammer, and now I canīt recover it??
Seriously???..........
Seriously............. Can somebody help me please?? I want to recover my original account I sent a PM to @Cyrus but he didn't answer me

Trust is NOT moderated. This has been explained over and over again. Perhaps you should better educate yourself before you post ignorant crap. Mods don't have nor want the burden to be judge and jury.

Only Lauda can remove it.

Probably a physhing email.
Just ignore those emails. If you really want to feel safe, change your password on this site, and do not click on any links.
Its not a mail thats what i get if i login into my old acc on this website. Read the sticky in Meta. I'll get right on that.. Interesting, I might like this new feature.. Edit: I'm not seeing anything about this locking old accounts stuff... Account is locked for security. The steps for recovery/unlocking are the same.

Hello, my old account DumbLefty was hacked.
Pretty obvious as all of a sudden the account started talking in Russian.
Anything I can do about that or what?
They changed password and email. I used the email I had with that account to sign up for this new account.

So my account was compromised 2 years ago due to a forum leak and haven't logged in since. Now I'm trying to recover my Bitcointalk username using the "forgot your password" but getting this message:
"Sorry, this account has not yet been approved."
I've barely posted on this account and I can't even remember the username, only have access to the email address I signed up with. Also haven't posted any bitcoin addresses, how can I verify this account?
Thanks
If you can't show proof using the sticky in Meta, you are out of luck.

Hello I am just looking for some advice on regaining control of my bitcointalk account. I am unable to reset my password as I assume it is going to a new email set by the attacker. He has also been posting via my account recently.

Sounds to me in addition to new rules, enforcement of old/new rules, new Mods need to be recruited. It appears you guys are overwhelmed.

I described exactly how you can do it in the very post you just quoted. If you can't be bothered to work it out manually just wait for the site to be up and running again but I doubt this is something that is that urgent.
Why are all these redundant crap threads allowed to remain? All it does is clog up the forum.
