381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: November 03, 2019, 12:06:49 AM
Yes, there were bettors too that likes to do it with YOLO. You know what that means? I guess you do. Those bettors that doesn't care about stats and analysis about the teams and all they do is to bet for whichever team that they want to bet. I've seen those kind of bettors as long as they can attain to lose the amount they are betting, there's no problem with that. They know what they are doing so it's find on their side whether they win or lose.
Of course if you are betting and gambling with something you should have total command over it as having knowledge about the game is really important. As there are so many games but choose the one which you think is profitable for you. I like to bet on cricket as it sound good to me easy and gives profit for gambling in it, i have enough knowledge about it.
You're knowledgeable in cricket and I don't and if I start betting with cricket then that's a yolo for me and as if I've accepted my fate whatever will be the result of it. And that's not a wise and good move for someone who looks for profitability in sports betting.
While on my side, I bet with basketball and e-sports for which I'm also following the trend with both of it.

Well it's gambling anyways. I've tried betting in games that I don't have any ideas before. There's this kind of excitement and uncertainty lol. Don't be too tight when you gamble. As long as you're betting with money that you can afford to let go. You even get to learn a thing or two about the game you've wagered on. You don't expect to be profitable when you gamble. If you do, you'll have a lot of expectations and that's when emotions come to play. And that's dangerous.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to prepare for long term HODL on: November 02, 2019, 09:18:59 PM
in the end of the text, i agree with that. altseason what we are waiting for and i believe it would happen again inthe future

i myself prefer to wait that beside lost much money to trade in this shit season, many coins are falling right now

after alseason is coming, it's easier to hold even you dont have to be smart enough to find good coins

History repeats itself.  That's what they always say.

It could be next year, next 2 years or maybe even 10 years from now who knows what could happen. But for now, nothing is left to do than just keep trading. Holding your coins will not make them grow. If the coin you hold spikes, sell and then move on to another coin that just drop to its knees and wait til it spike again.

The more knowledge about the coin, the better your chances are of making good results. So basically it's all about your research and study about which coin would be good to hold or trade with. I don't have any problems with hodling, i even prefer to hold at times especially since i don't have a great history in making day trades. The coins that I've held for a few months though have yielded good results. As you've said, history repeats itself, one way or another. So try to stick with coins that have pretty much established themselves already like those in the top 10 or top 15.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are to be blame for what happened to them on the internet on: November 02, 2019, 12:00:02 PM
They are not naive actually. Most of them technically are part of the scam. They are even racing to be first to register so they can take advantage as the top in the hierarchy. They often see these as an opportunity though so whenever something like of a doubler or a pyramid scheme comes out, they always wanted to be the first so they can get more money. It takes more than months before the scam opportunity will stop on their own and everyone will be a victim of scam. All them claimed to have been scam when they are all part of it.

It's money. A lot of people would definitely try anything just to gain more. There are those whose gambles pay off and there are those who end up in the losing side of the coin. Anyways, the loss itself should serve as a lesson already. Losing money on scams can make you skeptic about things in the internet that seems too good to be true.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ALTS would you bu if crypto boom started yesterday? on: November 02, 2019, 07:39:00 AM
I've always been vocal about my support for trx and btt and would probably still buy a huge chunk if a run started yesterday. I unerstand why people often choose eth, or ripple, or ltc or ada or stellar, and i'd probably have a number of them in my bag as well. But i've learned somehow how to play with justin sun's coins. As long he doesn't make any blunders, i think these two coins would do well in a bull market.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL&CALM on: November 02, 2019, 06:19:54 AM

I saw HODL & CALM but the reality is Sell & Party for now, this year's crypto is indeed different, people only see crypto with short-term profits.
It is more effective if we are also involved in trading. Hold and calm does provide a sense of security for the assets we have. But the market is not like the previous years. If we want to take advantage from now on we must have the courage to sell and buy too.
Better to profit a little but consistently than our assets are silent without an increase

Well, to HODL means to have your assets stay stagnant for a certain amount of time. No pressure. I think it's a sensible option for those of us who can't thoroughly grasp the do's and dont's of daily trading. Better to avoid monitoring the market every now and then.
You're not even sure if you're going to profilt a little, consistently,  with day trading dude. Not a lot of people have the trading skill to do so.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: November 02, 2019, 05:49:46 AM
First mistake in the gambling is that borrowing the money and then gambling is the strict no no.
Borrowing money just for gambling is really a bit mistake but it will be only a mistake if he borrowed money and lose all of it.

Lets see the other side, what if he borrowed money and then doubled it? Will it be a mistake also? Yes borrowing money to gamble is a mistake but if you are lucky at that time and you doubled it then there is no way that it will be called "a mistake".

Anyway, the OP lost the money he lost so it really is a mistake. Lesson learned - don't borrow money just for gambling. Make a way for you to have some funds for gambling and not borrow.

The outcome should basically be a non-issue. You should never borrow money for something like gambling. There's always the  chance that you'll double or even win an amount multiple times, but the likelihood of losing that borrowed amount is more probable. It's just north worth it and to consider that it's someone else's hard work that you're gambling with should make a decent person feel guilty. This applies not just to dice but basically all gambling types.
387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Panic selling and postpone from trading, which one is the worse one? on: November 02, 2019, 04:51:26 AM
its better to postponed our trading position than panic selling.postponed trading mean we miss the opportunity that may occur in crypto market.personally i am prefer missed it than miss my money.we dont loss anything when we postponed trading.but when we panic selling , we could suffer huge loss.
Postpone from Trading is better than panic selling because we don't get big losses, we just miss the opportunity to trade. Panic selling it Is the worst thing in the trading world because if you sell your coins while panicking, the results you get will be disappointing.
Almost any investor who has entered this market has been panicking, and that period of time will be very bad because you will not be able to control your assets. In my opinion, postponing a trade only makes you lose your chance and do not need to worry too much because there are thousands more opportunities waiting for you in the near future. Of course, everyone has their own options in investing but selling panic is what makes you feel most scared when investing.
We panic if we are new in trading, and it results to postpone trading or the moment that we unable to sell our coins and it happens that the price goes down frustrations comes because sometimes our order doesnt sold because it is tol high or we forget to sell it. Postpose trading is much worst than panic selling for me.

I don't think so. The opposite actually happens when you panic. You don't have any other instinct than to dispose your coins as soon as possible even if it means selling at a loss. For me that's the worst mistake anyone can commit when trading. Postponing your trades isn't half as bad since it could mean that you're just taking your time for better positions. Sometimes, changes slip by, but usually, postponing your trades could mean composure and self control.
388  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC TO 35K$ IN 2020 on: November 02, 2019, 01:53:04 AM
Every day a new thread of Bitcoin going over 20k$ is make here on bitcointalk without any technical details to cover the statement. I think all of speculators think that the halv will happen next year will make Bitcoin sky rocket in price but lets remember that the precedent halv happened in 2016 and it took more than 1 year to Bitcoin to rise to 20k$ so why 2019 won't be different and after halv it will take another year in order to see a new ATH.
My personal thought is that if Bitcoin reaches again 20k$ in q1-q2-q3 in 2019 we must be happy and in q4 we might see the bull run actually stars but until then we don't have any real cover besides the halv.
Most predictions that we see in the forum do not really have anything to back them up, so instead of seeing them as predictions we should see them as just the wishes of the one making the prediction, without a doubt bitcoin could grow significantly during the next year but as you say during the last halving bitcoin took quite a while to go up in price and it can be argued that when the market skyrocketed at the end of that year it was because of segwit and not the halving.

Well I doubt if any of them at all has basis lol. We see all sorts of price predcitions every year regardless of what's the status of the market and BTC. Most of them, we probably won't see until a decade or more. A lot of these predictions won't likely be fulfilled as well. It's better to just let them pass in your feeds. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion on what trajectory this market is going to take.
389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let this rise be a lesson - Bitcoin isn't strongly tied to anything on: November 02, 2019, 12:50:35 AM
If people believe everything they hear from crypto new sites, they can be manipulated in many ways, including to support changes that can harm Bitcoin's decentralization. For example, the /r/Cryptocurrency subreddit has been hating Bitcoin for a long time already and almost everyone there is a fan of some centralized altcoin.
You really cannot fight everyone, there are several groups now in the crypto space and everyone has their own ideas and wants to come up with their version of the digital currency and the main motive is power and money and you cannot change anything, if people are divided for a long time let them divide and the best version wins the general public vote and their investment. Majority does not care whether these coins are centralized or not all they need to know is whether that can give them the profit they are looking for.

Yeah and these sites only has major effects on new traders and holders. Most of us that have been here for quite some time have seen a lot already to believe in these news, whether they're positive or negative. In my experience, I feel more comfortable not looking all the time at what's going on in the crypto world. There will be times when it affects you even if you try not to be affected. Sometimes you have to accept the randomness of BTC and the entire market's movements.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 01, 2019, 11:21:37 PM
Spurs played not bad neither but their turnovers was a big problem
It's the clippers that can cut the winning streak of Spurs. Yes, they didn't played bad, they even outmaneuvered the opposing team with threes at the first quarter. I believe in the modern NBA that if you can't shoot 10 threes per game, you can't win the game. I'm not saying that Clippers are bad in shooting threes, it's just that, it doesn't come off when they do.

Man, Kawhi showing dominance in every game. If you're wondering what's his stats, he's only 29.2 points per game shooting 50% from the field Smiley. What comes more when PG will play, this will get more exciting as it is right now.

Kawhi did not dominate the whole game, he only end the game and that's what he is made for. To bring his team when it mattered most. The Spurs just had no answer during end game. As what I said the Spurs played with their system while the clippers played a hero game where they rely on their main superstar during endgames.

Scoring 38 points sounds pretty dominant for me though. And his defense was pretty evident as well. If this is a preview of things to come for the Clippers, then I think they're well on their way deep into the playoffs. Probably a better finish than the CP3, Blake era. The Spurs, even with the loss, I think will be a better team this season as well.  As you've mentioned, Pop did a good job in maximizing their strengths, at this time it's their shooting. Hope we see these two teams in the playoffs, though the Clippers for me are bound to get to the conference finals.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Years of bear market.. what to expect next on: November 01, 2019, 09:12:54 PM
I expect that there will be  good thing that will happen in the world.of crypto, 2 years of bear market could also lead to 2 years of bull market. There is always a light after the darkness.

I'm of the same opinion as you. The bear market has lasted more than I originally anticipated. But my market bias at the moment is bullish. you might wonder why. I think the upcoming Bitcoin halving and ETH 2.0 upgrade would spearhead the next bull run and I have a feeling it'll be even more better than the 2017 November run.

Well a bull run might not happen until a couple of months after the halving next year, which is what happened last time. Though i highly doubt that the next bull run will be sustained for the same time as the recent bear season. A sharp spike in value eill always see a sudden correction. And i also don't see the current market condition as part of the bearish season anymore. Just looking at BTC, we've recovered quite well this year.
392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term VS Daily Trading on: November 01, 2019, 12:14:53 PM
I don't think that this is the best place to learn trading from. You need to learn two basic things: technical analysis and risk management. Once you master those then you can really start putting some capital into the market. Until then I recommend demo/paper trading. The timeframe you trade really depends on your personality and how much time you wanna invest into this endeavour. If you wanna do something else beside standing in front of your monitors like you have a business to run, etc. then take higher timeframe trades.
I have been trying to learn this for the past few years and the actual application is very different so I think you should be more careful when trading in this market. I have learned how to manage risk and always divide capital clearly when investing so my risk has been greatly reduced this year. In fact, not everyone can do this because the market requires a lot of luck and many investors have abandoned this market after a period of participation.

Well that's because the tips you get here are what works for the certain individual who gave the tip. If a day traders would tell you how to efficiently makr day trades, he's giving you what works for him. That doesn't mean it'll work for you. Some people excel in making day trades while some people don't. The basics are pretty much the same though when it comes to technicalities, not everyone will be a good day trader. Find what works for you using small amounts.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The TRX Speculation and Info Thread on: November 01, 2019, 06:28:32 AM
A long time did not monitor the tron, because after they launched the blockchain itself and it did not have a big effect on the growth of the tron itself, so I decided to cut loss and switch to another altcoin.
not only tron, even all coins are still in bad condition and have decreased by around 90%. I think TRON is good, because the development of TRON continues to run with TRON's own Blockchain launchin. added with TRON API Transaction Support on Samsung Blcokchain. Justin continues to promote TRON through Twitter and active news to provide the latest news about TRON.

And Tron has had it's recovery if you think about it. Last time I checked, it's at 180 sats. I was able to buy a bag at 138. Justin Sun's been quite for a while and honestly, I think he should stay that way for now. The failed Lunch with Warren Buffet and the FOMO of him being arrested did had it's share in pulling Tron's price down. Though If you think about it, most alts had the same trajectory. I'm still keeping my bag with a lot of TRXs
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs. Luis Ortiz II on: November 01, 2019, 05:35:01 AM
Well, this is something that's worth watching if you base it on their previous fight. Ortiz for me would've won that fight if wilder hadn't gotten than KO through. Though this time around, my bet's on Ortiz.  Coming off a three fight win streak, age seem to have a hard time catching up to him at 40. Wilder did get a pretty controversial draw with Tyson Fury and a KO afterwards, but unless we get the same ending as their first fight, we may very well looking at another trilogy here.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WILL YOU STILL INVEST IN CRYPTO ? on: November 01, 2019, 04:50:14 AM
for a bounty hunter like me might still participate instead of investing in ICO or IEO projects because if happened is fraud then only time is wasted not money. Grin well, even though the ICO boom is over but that maybe will also happen to IEO because as you said, that's it is true if ICO and IEO are is same just with changed name. the scammer will continue to exist on ICO or IEO.

Some ICOs will still break through I think and as you've said, for bounty hunters that earn crypto, it won't hurt to invest a little amount in some promising ICOs. Though of course, proper expectation should be practiced and never go for broke. There may be some cases when people are lucky enough to have invested in ICOs that became successful, but it's a gamble that I won't dare take.  I view ready coins the same way as ICOs so it won't hurt to invest a small amount in any of these two.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your most common superstitions? on: November 01, 2019, 04:09:39 AM

When I am going to a gambling session or playing games outside, I am not entering in the main entrance because some says that is unlucky because it is just like playing in a honest point in which you don't have any card inside your sleeves, so I prefer to enter in the exit gate to avoid this kind of superstitious belief, anyway gambling is based on strategies and luck also and you are the one who are making your own luck.
I have a firm believe that whatever happens to us, it is linked with our thoughts and fears. Superstitions work for all those who consider them to be real but people who think, they are mere myths, never get affected by them. One must overcome his all fears and if you believe in making one’s luck, then you should not trust superstitions. Last thing, gambling has nothing to do with strategies.

Dude, superstition work for people who consider them to be real? I don't think so. People just try to find reasons to justify why their routine or belief didn't work, instead of simply accepting that it's all in their mind. The only positive aspect of it is that it gives a positive outlook to the persion believing. Though sometimes it can go the other way. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. As long as they keep their superstition to themselves then that's okay.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 31, 2019, 10:43:29 PM
but if you want to get the best results of your bets, you need to determine on what sports you really love to watch and follow. And when you're in the right sports, you can easily make judgment from team to team and with upcoming games. Although no one is perfect with it and unexpected things shall come but in that way, you can increase your possibility to win.
And that is the main difficulty of becoming a successful sports bettor, if you really want to have a chance to become a professional gambler then you have no other option but to watch all the games that you can, and as we know that takes a very long time and only the most dedicated gamblers will invest so much time into that activity, the rest of the gamblers will watch a game or two and nothing more and then they will complain about their bad results.

I don't think you need to do that at all. The internet has all the stats and info you'll need to know to determine which team is bigger chances of winning and which team is the underdog. Of course you'll be more flexible if you know the sport by heart, but anyone can have the same info as someone who does with just a few minute research. The more you try to do that, the more you'll eventually know about the sport you're betting on.
398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have to sell bitcoin to an alt, so... on: October 31, 2019, 09:12:40 AM
This probably won't be a popular choice, but for me, first would be Tron. Justin Sun's made a lot of BS antics in the past that dragged this coin down but it was decent at least especially if you're not afraid to make a gamble. That Warren Buffet lunch was a disaster but it also gave me a pretty good entry point. Next would be BTT. I still believe it's one of the coins that has real use but is undervalued, for now at least. Third would be between ether and ripple.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: October 31, 2019, 07:46:43 AM
Going against the majority really needs too much courage and confidence but it is not difficult and i think everybody should do what seems right to them because sometimes it happen that majority of the people cannot figure out the situation and if you follow them and loss your bet then it always become the cause of regret, so in some cases people needs to follow their own decision as it is sometimes the demand of the situation.
Nope, it doesn't really need to take too much courage when you're about to do it. Sometimes we act something differently and doesn't go with the crowd because we want twist.

But yeah if we are confident with what we're doing, going against with everyone's bet is fine thing to try.

It still need courage going against the majority because what if the team you are about to bet on is considered and underdog by many, then if a gambler think its an underdog then they would normally go with the majority but if you have trust on that team and have courage to risk your money on that team then yeah you will go against the majority.

Nah. If you go against overwhelming odds, you don't really expect to gain anything. So it's basically a case of a nothing-to-lose bet. I'd even call it desperation so one can get a bigger winning.  People who often bet against the majority or the underdog don't really have much on the line most of the time. I sometimes do it on a whim or just for the challenge of it.
400  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can you believe that this dice is real? on: October 31, 2019, 06:00:56 AM
I do not think those are actual people. They might be bots or inhouse players. It might be a strategy by Yobit to lure others players to wage high. After all Yobit is primarily an exchange and this what they have been doing with volumes to lure new and existing users.

I was also not aware of Yobit having dice game.

Nope. Yobit has had the dice feature ever since. I've been on Yobit since 2016 and have used that dice feature back when BTC was just a few hundred dollars. The bets back then were much higher in BTC than it was now. Though of course considering the value, fewer people would spend that much money in dice. I once spent .5 BTC in their dice site back then
