401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for advice on: August 08, 2020, 01:52:07 AM
*sigh How unfortunate that you weren't able to use Binance because it was fhe best IMO. Anyway, aside from the examples they mentioned, Yobit is also allowed in USA. Though it received bad reviews in tha past especially with its current issue about its signature campaign last year (correct me if I'm wrong, I can't remember when already Grin), I think it still considered legit. They are established last 2015 and I guess they will not operate until now if they're proven scam. Again, you can put this into your considerations but still don't forget to dyor.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what new coins are promising? on: August 07, 2020, 01:19:10 PM
Dude no offense but you are just looking for a headache lol. But kidding aside, yeah the market is now starting to become more alive once again but it doesn't necessarily mean that more and more good legit projects will come so it's safer to stick on the older ones. Like what zasad@ mentioned, why don't you try to just buy eth instead of new ones since eth 2.0 seems the root of hype happening. Well, i know it's your decision, just saying my advice Wink.

Anyway, you can check AVAX if you want. Just to be clear, I'm not a supporter of this coin. It just so happened that I recently bumped threads discussing this "promising" project.
403  Other / Meta / Re: Make this forum a better place - part 1 on: August 07, 2020, 09:56:03 AM
To be honest, kbs of data is not a big loss even for mobile users. If the data consumption while using your favorite social media sites doesn't bother you then what more for a single image here Grin. You can't feel it actually. However, there's one thing which made me convinced on using image compression — the faster data transfer. My device is low tech and sometimes it's having a hard time to load the webpage especially when there are so many images on the thread I visit. That's why I think it would be advantageous for me.

Count me in dude! I'll try to compress images from now on though it takes more time on the process of uploading hehehe.

4. Image resize: https://resizeimage.net/
Btw, good luck guys!
Nice but i think this code works fine.
Code:
[img width=xxx height=xxx alt=image loading...]*link[/img]
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping my coins because.. on: August 07, 2020, 06:48:54 AM
So what is or are your reason why you are dumping your coin?
During my beginner times, i once collected different tokens. Some came from faucets, some are extra payments in sig campaigns (signature campaigns payments before offer btc payments in half and tokens for the other half) and there is one which I invested with (I regret on that one). But on all those that I've mentioned, I dumped nothing. Why? Simply because they seems 99.9% worthless for me already that's why I don't mind exerting efforts to make even a single cent from it. I choose to forget all of them, forget my wallet and pw, everything. Not a practical move to be honest but that's okay with me. The important thing is I finally learned my lesson. On that day, I end my ICO hunting journey and not willing to continue anymore Grin.
405  Other / Meta / Re: Double posting of a thread on: August 07, 2020, 03:52:08 AM
LFC_bitcoin has posted this on meta- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5266445.0
And posted the same message on Beginners and Help also. Purpose of creating thread on both board is good, it will help members to be secured. But is this allowed in the forum? Double posting a thread? I am asking this as general, nothing to do with LFC_bitcoin here, no offense to LFC_bitcoin.
I see few cases before of threads which originally came from our local board, translated to english and then posted it on beginners and help (about their btctalk journey or ranking up usually). Both threads remain so I think it is okay. Maybe it's only their own way of letting greater audience know their story and not intend to spam or whatsoever. Thus, accepted.

But in the case you present, I don't think it is not necessary since Meta and Beginners & Help are both inemternational boards (just my own opinion, I know there is no specific rule regarding this Cheesy). Anyone can visit it unlike with local boards where the majority are native speakers.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason hunters dump reward as soon as received. Trust Exchange etc on: August 07, 2020, 01:14:34 AM
I was going through meditation on why hunters sell (I don't like the word dump because you can sell and buy again  Grin Roll Eyes ) their reward token as soon as it is distributed and listed.
Of course, they can. But the question is, will they Grin? In most cases, I don't think so because look at their prices months after being enlisted, they fall hard drastically and already having a hard time to recover. This was a clear implication that most of its investors are no longer interested with that particular token because if they really do then the chart won't look like that, isn't it? Most of the investors of new alts follow a pattern (based on what I see): they wait and invest to a new token, hoping others get influenced to increase the hype, dump then repeat.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Best Course Of Action? on: August 06, 2020, 11:23:42 PM
Mate, everything depends on how much knowledge you have, how much you need money right now and how much you are willing to risk with no guaranteed profit in return.

Every investors got their own different stories so you cannot easily copy what others because it might be not well suited on your situation. But if you'll ask me, I am doing the first thing you mentioned. I keep on buying, actually i bought some coins yesterday despite its price go higher and higher. I'm catching up as much as I can so that I will gain greater profits just in case btc's price skyrocket before this year ends. .

See? Unlike other investors, I'm not bothered with the current price. How about you? Have an introspection and assess what's best move you can do Wink.
408  Economy / Economics / Re: Pray for Our World (Pray for Lebanon) Another Economic Crisis on: August 06, 2020, 01:13:15 PM
I think people should slow down with speculations about terrorism or Israel attack. It's a tragic event, many people have died and been injured, the damage is devastating. There is no need to invent more stuff to make the news more "spicy", at least not until investigation uncovers something else.

although I agree, there's really nothing we can do about people making assumptions and spreading rumours about what really happened. also, visiting politics&society board they have pretty much concluded what "really happened" with their assumptions especially the members who are frequent about conspiracy theory.
Though ammonium nitrate is not as explosive as the usual bombs and it is not easy to detonate (AFAIK) but I think it is not enough proof to justify that everything was planned or somebody light it up intentionally. Hmm It just so happened that warehouse contain plenty supply of it (maybe used for fertilizing the soil) that's why it resulted to a huge explosion.

Most probably, the intensity of the explosion made the conspiracy theorists lead them to a conclusion that terrorism is the reason behind this tragedy. Well, I can't blame them to think that way because witnessing a huge mushroom cloud could really lose your mind either. I know we can't control the curious minds of other people so the least thing we can do to stop the negativity is to ignore them. But why they can't understand that it was just an accident tsk Undecided?
409  Other / Meta / Re: Is this considered a death threat? on: August 06, 2020, 06:41:11 AM
I believe ignoring your foe here is the best solution to eased this kind argument.
That's right! Kill your enemy with silence. That can be also a good move to know if your enemy is really serious with his threat or not. If the situation remain calm for the next few days then congrats! You just lose to a trashtalk but at least you're physically safe wherever place you are Cheesy. On the other side if he keeps on spilling his sh*t then that's the time for you to be alarmed and start to analyze whether it's feasible for him to hunt you down. But if you found out that he reside on the other side of the planet then foget everything. I never heard a story of man travelling hundreds of miles just to piss and burn his enemy — not prsctical at all.
410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies beware of influencers -they might not know it all/it's can go wrong- on: August 06, 2020, 01:58:46 AM
OP's post made me suddenly remembered the line of one of the famous horoscope readers here in our country, "Hindi hawak ng mga bituin ang ating kapalaran. Gabay lamang sila. Meron tayong free will. Gamitin natin ito." In english, "The stars do not control our destiny. They are just a guide. We have free will. Let's use it."

In short, do not depend everything on the stars (well we can set these as the influencers). Think and act based on your natural instincts. If you lose money then that's okay, just try again. Remember that failure is not the opposite of success, it was part of it Smiley. Be proud because it was a product of your own will and not by the others. That was less regretting, isn't it? So don't be afraid of experimenting and making your own strategies because it helps you to grow.

Actually, there's nothing wrong on listening to the experts. It's good because it was also a form of learning. But I hope you won't come to the point that you can no longer stand alone for yourselves.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on new ATH on: August 05, 2020, 01:13:32 PM
What are peoples thoughts and expectations on the next ATH. Obviously impossible to predict I'm just curious to hear what others expect.
I know most of the investors have now ideas building on their minds regarding the next ATH. Well, I can't blame them because that's what all tend to think due to the recent price hike. But me? I'm not expecting. Don't get me wrong, I do feel btc make a great bounce back as well. I just refuse to expect any particular price as much as can because it hurts me if ever not happened Grin.

But in all of the predictions I heard, $15k sounds the most reasonable since it's close to the current price. Plus, not too hard to attain within the remaining 4 months.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The race to crypto regulation? Public and permissionless is still possible? on: August 05, 2020, 10:09:56 AM
IMHO, I think there's no problem with regulation because I believe that it was badly needed in the industry that often used to launder money and other fraudulent activities.
Much better if our government just let its countrymen adopt cryptocurrency in a natural manner. You know, people use the tech based in their own will without making steps to compromise the privacy features of it. However, I believe that too much freedom leads to chaos — and that's where regulation enters. So yeah! Though some of us (even me) hate to follow rules, but at the end of the day, we all need it in order to maintain the sanity of everyone.

Besides, having a regulated system is better than banning the use of it, isn't it Cheesy?

Ps: good luck on supporting Concordium, I hope you succeed.
413  Economy / Economics / Re: there is one thing onely that can save the usa dollar on: August 05, 2020, 06:26:33 AM
By war? Fair enough, it makes sense somehow because the we can presume that the winner of it (USA in this case) will take over the losing country. Thus, will have the control on all of its manpower, assets etc. and they can also introduce their currency for them to use it. However, engaging in war does not give you a flawless victory. There's no such thing as that because nobody knows exactly the capabilities of the opposing country. Of course they will spend lots of money on their arsenal so the question is, Is that even worth it? Nah, I don't think so. Simply because it's negative side is always greater than the good one. Just like what Neville Chamberlain said, "In war, whichever call itself the victor, there are no winners, but all are losers".
For me, instead of focusing to start war, why not focus on creating a vaccine as cure for this virus? And keep staying home if its not necessary to go out.
Peace be with you, stay safe 💕
Every country got their own agendas. Some are willing to help, some are dormant and some are opportunistic. Now you may realized that our world is not based in your or even our ideals. It is what it is and I'm not happy about it Undecided.
414  Other / Meta / Re: Are there still size limits on image posting on: August 04, 2020, 03:30:20 PM
Awesome, so I could have a super long image and as long as the file size is small enough, it will show?
Sure why not, it's your own thread anways. You can do whatever size you want as long as it is important and relevant with the topic. However there are few members (mostly the mobile users) that complaint due to large pictures. They're having a hard time zooming in and zooming out the page, they also hate it because it makes their phone lag. Resizing an image is not a thing you ought to do, but it can be a sign of being considerate to others Smiley. It's up to you.
415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect Your Account on: August 04, 2020, 12:02:23 PM
Yes, the "hide email address from public" flag is on by default (meaning hidden)
Thank God I am doing the right since day one. Actually I'm about to check my profile already to check it again but good thing I read your post. You saved few minutes of my time Smiley. I strongly believe that my email was hidden all the time but still OP's post alarmed the hell out of me lol (paranoia strikes).

My simple advice for you guys is to never use the emails you already used in signing up to this forum, wallets or others with confidetial infos. Because the more you used it, the more prone it become against phishing attacks or other means of hacking. Making email addresses is now as easy as 1 2 3 so don't be hesitate to create a new one for vulnerable places.
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If War breaks out between China and the US, can China hack Bitcoin? on: August 04, 2020, 06:56:41 AM
I am not really sure what a war between America and China has to do with Bitcoin but to answer your question no.
I am wondering the same thing. Well, maybe OP is thinking that powerful countries will get as much resources as they could so that they'll be on the lead if war begins. But actually, the question is not specific. It was a little bit absurd Cheesy.

Anyway, let's put in this way. If powerful countries will engage into a cyber war I am still not sure who would win. We know that there are also many chinese geeks lurking, russians are good also but americans got Walter O'Brien tho lmao (alright, enough movie marathon).
417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do if you get scammed! on: August 04, 2020, 04:02:26 AM
I checked the link to know what genre it is and yeah it's not my type lmao Grin. I am not a fan of funk music (I'm not actually sure of the genre)

Anyway, listening to a music which relates in your experience is a nice way to cope with it.  Fortunately, in my 3 years of journey inside the crypto sphere I haven't scammed yet (and I hope never will be). Though I joined fraudulent HYIPs and faucets before, I did not include it on the list since I didn't spend even a cent with those platforms. You know! A beginner thing — crazed on trying everything and hoping to earn "free" money without investing hahaha. But honetsly, I considered it as a blessing in disguise tho.
418  Economy / Economics / Re: Second Stimulus check - What are you going to do with it? on: August 04, 2020, 01:38:03 AM
Dude not only the Americans can relate with this scenario because we are also experiencing the haed effects of pandemic and stimulus package is also one of the ways of our government to ease the pain of everyone Cheesy. Here in our country, we already accepted the first tranche of Social Amelioration Program (SAP) and the second one is already processing. What I don't know is if we are still included on it since the situation here in our province is not as severe from the urban areas.

Anyway, if ever we received again, we will use it mostly to pay our debts and bills then the rest would be our savings. No room for leisure things at this moment because there's no vaccine yet.
419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch the high price in 2020? on: August 03, 2020, 09:56:09 AM
This time all the world market are in crises and also the crypto market but as my predictions that this time crypto market will make a great bull in the market becasue so many countries will soon legal the Bitcoin in their countries and the investment will start in this way in the crypto amrket so much fast.
Really? What countries to be exact? I would like to know hihihi. But you know what, actually I doubt many countries will adopt in this time of pandemic. You know, even the rich countries are having a hard time to survive and continue their usual businesses so what more for the smaller countries unless they're not affected by covid.

Bitcoin will touch the high price in 2020?
 25,000$
 33,000$
 50,000$
 100,000$
Hmm, what I'm feeling is non of teh above. Yeah! We're experiencing a pump season lately but this is not yet a sure sign that we are now heading to bull run. Besides, we are now on the 3rd quarter of the year thus btc price no longer have plenty of time to reach those prices. Maybe next year, let's see Smiley. (but $100k seems ideal at this moment)
420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Self introduction on: August 03, 2020, 04:23:55 AM
Another Hi from another member Grin! Like OgNasty, I love bitcoin but I'm a little bit allergic with the new alts in the market lol. I just hope you really know what you are doing with those coins but well you said that you are just holding them for fun so I presume you won't worry if ever you lose.

Enough from introductions, my advice for you is to become a good member. Obey the rules at all times. Forget about how you hoard merits (it will stress you for real) because I believe that it wilk naturally come to you as longer you stay here. Just do like what you are doing with your alts — have fun Smiley.
