401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin bar (10% for you if you help me) on: June 25, 2023, 11:04:48 PM
If you have a picture on it and wanted to post it here make it blurry so that no one can decipher but reading or determining the codes won't help.
Litecoin private keys are commonly encoded in Wallet Import Format (WIF) or as hexadecimal strings, correct me if I'm wrong with this.  If the digits you mentioned follow a different format, it might require additional analysis to determine the appropriate decoding method.

IMO, you need to be careful of this showing to anyone, it should be trusted, not anyone else over the internet.
402  Other / Off-topic / Re: You most not make a mistake to know things you don't know on: June 24, 2023, 11:59:28 PM
Learning is a continuous process
You forgot, and mistake is a part of that process.

Remember this when Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb, famously said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."  That statement reflects the mindset of many successful people who view mistakes as stepping stones to success, they understand that setbacks and failures are inevitable on the path to achieving their objectives the same on trading.  Because in trading isn't all about earning, sometimes mistakes make us learn to avoid them in the future.

IMO, mistakes are often considered a part of the process of achieving success and mistakes provide opportunities for learning, growth, and improvement.  They can help you identify what doesn't work in trading (technically or fundamental analysis) that needs to be adjusted in order to reach your goals, it can also provide valuable insights and new perspectives that contribute to innovation and creativity.
403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Job Lists on: June 23, 2023, 11:59:30 PM
Thanks for the list that's interesting to find a job especially if we're jobless.
Back then when the pandemic hit, a home-based job is very common to us and I don't think still people do this while there is more opportunity outside than this.

I also found this list of Crypto Job Portals And Websites which I think may also help you to find a job and add to the OP list.
404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking out of 2 month downtrend on: June 20, 2023, 11:59:27 PM
Yes, of course, that's possible, I think there's nothing wrong if you always have a positive perspective on the price to make you more motivated in holding your Bitcoin and I voted Yes.

The resistance I think it's pretty normal since after the correction of the price it's expected that there's a spike in the price.

Another reason could be because of BlackRock who filed for a bitcoin exchange-traded fund with the SEC, who else knows about this news recently?
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Want to Trade My House for Some Bitcoins. on: June 20, 2023, 11:27:54 PM
We may give you some suggestions but you've got the final decision to make, i can't advise someone sells a house all because he wants to invest on a volatile cryptocurrency, the option he's going for is not bad  because it's bitcoin but consider selling a house to me for bitcoin investment is like taking more risk that can landed him to shame especially when that's the only one he has and lives in, but if he has many others left, the. It's not a bad decision.

We understand your concerns regarding the risk involved when selling a home to invest in a volatile cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. Indeed, it is a decision that requires care and consideration, especially when dealing with a single, prime property.
Not only the risk that you might be dealing with in the future here, but it could be also the tax implications.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's capital gains tax which is when you sell your house, you may be subject to capital gains tax on any profit you make from the sale.  The amount of tax owed will depend on factors such as the length of time you owned the property or your tax bracket.

I think, asking for information here isn't helpful to you if you really need to sell your house because each of us here has our own decision and now we're talking about your side.  It's better if you will hire a professional in this field to get better advice.
406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How being open to ideas and comments help you learn? on: June 20, 2023, 11:08:19 PM
Constructive criticism is one way to learn few stuffs from others. Well its really hurt being corrected though you knew to yourself its correct but figuring out your wrong have a slight feeling of ache but if anyone learn to overcome that and accept it. Could help you grow as a user. We are in forum anyway a place where debate could happen whether what is the correct concept or solution to such dispute.
I remember this with the thick skin gang on this forum and that's right, I tend to agree with you at this point.
We should be always open to new ideas, perspectives, and knowledge.  Recognize that no one knows everything, and there is always room for growth and improvement, and embracing different viewpoints can lead to valuable insights and a deeper understanding.

IMO, by maintaining an open-minded and welcoming even negative feedback you'll be better equipped to expand your knowledge and thrive in your learning journey.  That's an act of arrogance when you're upset when you're corrected.
407  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Are this scam sites or real? I am guessing they are scam sites on: June 19, 2023, 11:59:28 PM
Why red tag him?  Is he the owner of those sites?
It seems that's inappropriate IMO.

I used this Bitcoin transaction accelerator before the btcnitro but the first one isn't familiar to me, but if you research on Google, they will appear as a Bitcoin accelerator.  It might be the one you tagged was using the Google search and recommending to the thread that he replied to and nothing more.
408  Economy / Reputation / Re: What should I do if I think somebody soon will scam someone? on: June 19, 2023, 11:31:37 PM
They should be banned with this proof of @Stalker22 since one of his alt account has been already banned.

As of now, there's nothing you can do, every one of us here in the forum will do stupidity even a reputable member will end up potentially scammed.  So right now, this thread is enough to warn everyone here to avoid scams.
409  Economy / Exchanges / Re: When scammers lacks crypto updates on: June 19, 2023, 11:16:35 PM
I've so many stranger friends on social media like Telegram or Discord before because I formerly worked as a Telegram admin but when it comes to discussing financial matters or sensitive information I won't trigger that way.  Yes, we should be always updated on what's happening around especially since Binance keeps fighting on the lawsuit and as a forum member, we're very lucky here to always have up-to-date updates and happenings in the crypto world.

It seems the scammer tries to gain your trust and waits for the opportunity to scam you but she finds out that you're more knowledgeable than her.  The reason she blocked your account.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin become The General Currency in the Future? on: June 19, 2023, 10:34:43 PM
IMO the chances are very slim that government make Bitcoin a global currency that replaces fiat, it's difficult to mix it up the decentralized and the centralized platform we know there's always a conflict.  Traditional currencies, backed by central banks and stable economies, provide a level of stability and trust that Bitcoin has yet to achieve.

I think let's accept the fact that Bitcoin was created to alternate traditional currency not to replace them.
There are too many barriers that Bitcoin has and it's unlikely to become what you wanted OP.
411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Apart from "OP" any other slag every beginner needs to know? on: June 18, 2023, 11:40:38 PM
The last post I found about abbreviations was in the Filipino language back in 2017.
So meaning to say you're an old member here, isn't it?
What happened to your old account?

Can you tell me what was the Filipino abbreviation that you found?
There are too many of them here that you must know, as the link provided above give you more knowledge about the terminologies used here in the forum.

Enjoy and have time reading if you're really a new member here.
412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Met Beautiful Young Asian Woman On Dating Site To Teach Me Trading on: June 18, 2023, 11:31:10 PM
Doesn't make a difference when OP is being redirected to a fake exchange the scammer actually owns.
This was exactly what in my mind, was to get a scam.
Because I personally experience this but fortunately they didn't fool me with this kind of scam strategy.
They want me to create an account on an exchange that I don't know or is not a popular exchange and let them manage your account which if you think it's obviously a scam attempt.

There are too many of them not only on the dating site platform, but they are also everywhere on every social media platform like Facebook and Telegram which they're very rampant on this fraudulent activity.

Be careful, there might be a hidden agenda with his propaganda offering or teaching trading.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A no-Bitcoin friend turned a old Bitcoiner on: June 18, 2023, 11:20:59 PM
Sounds funny that someday when your friend knows your private key and steals all your Bitcoin or crypto assets because you expect that your friend has zero knowledge about Bitcoin.  The purpose for sure could be privacy and your friend wasn't telling you that he has more knowledgeable than you.  That can indeed be puzzling knowing the fact which reveal the truth.

It's possible that he wanted to keep his financial activities private and IMO I would do the same because Bitcoin investments can be personal, and some individuals prefer not to share their financial endeavors with others and he may have had concerns about potential conflicts or differences in investment strategies.  So don't be too much talkative that could potentially be leading you to a scam when you accidentally revealed your private key.
414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Luck is what you need in gambling but you have to get to work with trading on: June 18, 2023, 11:06:26 PM
Trading is trading, while gambling is gambling. They are different but having some similarities too.
I tend to agree with this concept and that's very simple.
It's easy to determine, if you're in trading and don't have knowledge, then that's gambling.

Because trading is a skill-based activity and luck might play a minor role in trading, it isn't the determining factor.
If you're a trader who relies solely on luck are unlikely to achieve consistent profitability because IMO, it needs hard work, research, and discipline are very important components for successful trading.  Traders need to analyze market trends, study charts and need up-to-date financial news.
415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The truth about investment (bitcoins) on: June 18, 2023, 10:37:17 PM
Bitcoin doesn't work like that, it seems you're describing a Ponzi scheme investment.
Because IMO, success in investing is not a zero-sum game where one person's gains come at the expense of another's losses.  The crypto market is highly dynamic and can provide opportunities for multiple individuals to profit simultaneously.  Besides, different investors have different entry and exit points and investment horizons which means they can experience different levels of success at various times.

Now it's a funny fact that people now store the value of Bitcoin instead of using this alternatively in fiat transactions.
It should be the use and recognize the broader scope of Bitcoin's adoption and the potential benefits it offers beyond just financial gains.
416  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Post your local news outlet, exchange, marketplace that support Bitcoin on: June 13, 2023, 11:48:05 PM
You've missed Gcash.
On their app, you can buy and sell or hold (which is not advisable) crypto using the third-party exchange PDAX, and I used this once which is very convenient compared to Coins.ph when converting your crypto to cash.

GCash has just launched a new feature allowing GCash users to buy, sell, and store crypto using their GCash account. Powered by Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX), GCrypto now allows users to create a separate wallet for buying and selling cryptocurrencies in just a few clicks.

Good thing our country is crypto-friendly not like other countries.
417  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: create new wallet on airgapped electrum with ledger seed on: June 13, 2023, 11:34:59 PM
Is it possible to create a new wallet on electrum with a ledger seed?  Electrum runs on tails on an air gapped ubuntu box.
Is this a good guide?  https://coinguides.org/import-ledger-trezor-seed-electrum/  Things to watch out for?

Yes, I think there's nothing wrong with that guide and upon reading it, it's a well-said and a good guide.
We know the issue about Ledger if this is your purpose of importing seed to Electrum.  But why?
Instead of generating a new seed and creating a new wallet in a fully air-gapped wallet because I worried about the comment above.  Yes, it could be your seed phrase is on Ledger's eyes or it has on their database.

Create your airgap wallet and create a new wallet and transfer your Bitcoin there, because importing a wallet alone doesn't increase the security of your wallet.  Leave your Ledger device including the seed phrase.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife on wedding. on: June 13, 2023, 10:57:17 PM
Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice
I said to myself, eh, why not?  If I were in her place, I'm pretty sure I'll like your gift because I know what Bitcoin is or how valuable it is.
However, there are too many factors to consider if you want to gift your wife a Bitcoin.
  • Is she aware of Bitcoin?
  • Is she knowledgeable about it?
  • It is valuable, Do you think she likes it more than cash?

But as you've said it's illegal in your country, I think you can't give it to her publicly during the wedding.
Think about it.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The US just banned altcoin trading. on: June 12, 2023, 11:39:16 PM
The Security and Exchange Commission banning shitcoins and shittokens is actually good news.
I tend to agree with this and that's actually good news.
The SEC's role is to regulate securities markets in the United States and protect investors and when it comes to crypto like altcoins, the SEC's focus is primarily on determining whether a particular digital asset qualifies as a security under U.S. securities laws.

It doesn't mean SEC wants to stop crypto trading but in fact, those are only shitcoins.  IMO, if those altcoins have successfully complied with securities laws or have been structured in a way that they don't fall under the SEC's jurisdiction as securities.

By the way, OP got banned.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im coutious about xrp warning on: June 12, 2023, 11:26:16 PM

It's a natural that we feel wary of Ripple, especially now that many of the top altcoins that were once revered have now become scams,
especially since XRP from 2021 hasn't reached the new all time high, and it's okay to be wary of xrp because they haven't won the trial against the SEC,
if they lose you know XRP will go bankrupt, but if they win XRP will rise too.
Knowing before about XRP was a centralized currency, I was already giving up.
I never even hold them but yes, they are good when it comes to the transaction, it's very fast and convenient, but just for that purpose.

Ripple, the company behind XRP, has formed partnerships with numerous financial institutions, including banks and remittance services, to explore the use of XRP in their payment flows.  That's why they faced regulatory challenges like fighting against SEC and the outcome of the lawsuit may have implications for XRP's future which we didn't know yet.

So for now, never hold this coin in the long run but yes, we can still use this coin by means of utility which is very useful.
