401  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's profit on: November 14, 2017, 03:45:05 AM
We can't compare bitcoin to drug dealer obviously, do you know how much profit a drug dealer makes every month?
Do know the biggest profit for someone who have invested in bitcoin for years? Nothing for sure about it.
Even if we compare Satoshi Nakamoto and a big boss in drugs business, we don't know exact profit for them.
But, one thing that matters; bitcoin is much better than drugs, just invest in bitcoin for long term and keep earning bitcoin by all means.
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The word of the day Collusion on: November 12, 2017, 07:53:30 PM
If someone spends $10 million on fees, can you really call that spam? Obviously they earn more from pumping and dumping Bitcoin Cash, but in the end, Bitcoin should just be able to process it.
Someone? I prefer to describe it as them or they, not just a person. However, what would you called it if it's not spam? a business? a project of manipulation?
If I'm a miner and have a big mining farm, not satisfied with current nodes and segwit, I may do the same thing. Keep sending many transactions to my own addresses. Reduce my expenses by mining and works with some people to do it, in this case; maybe Bitpico team.

Quote
They just want to tell people; segwit isn't enough, we need 2x hardfork, we need bigger blocksize to afford so many transactions per second.
"They"? That sounds like you disagree, if so, what makes you think a small blocksize works? I literally can't make a transaction now, unless I pay a rediculous fee. Bitcoin has been pushed to or over it's limits for a very long time now, the 2x hardfork would have given some temporary breathing space, until long-term scaling solutions are available.

Yes, I think it is not someone, so I said "They"
Disagree about what?
I'm not saying small blocksize works for current situation, we know that.
Yes, we can't transact bitcoin right now due to ridiculous fee.
That's why people trade (pump and dump) BCH which has bigger blocksize to indicate we need bigger block, and we need 2x hardfork.
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The word of the day Collusion on: November 12, 2017, 08:25:59 AM
Some people trying to spam transactions on blockchain, over 157,000 unconfirmed transactions and total fees over BTC1400.
https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
You have to pay 760 sats per byte for cheapest and faster to be confirmed, it's ridiculous expensive.
They just want to tell people; segwit isn't enough, we need 2x hardfork, we need bigger blocksize to afford so many transactions per second.
404  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Million Bitcoin Project on: November 11, 2017, 02:20:59 PM
Hi everybody,

thanks for all your comments but you make a big mistake about the goal of our project.

We offer advertisers an original web place based on BTC payment and the word "Donate" was not effectively appropriated.

Take a look at the new site version: http://millionbitcoinproject.com/

The Million Bitcoin Project team.

I don't understand this site, there's no English language?
What's the goal of your project? To advertise an original web place?  Huh
Still don't get it, if you can provide English version, it will be helpful for everyone who interested.
405  Economy / Speculation / Re: perfect timing for re-buying on: November 11, 2017, 01:02:47 PM
$6500 as the lowest price I guess, and bitcoin seems not decline less than this point, always rebound at the bottom line.
If bitcoin network continue to be flooded by thousands unconfirmed transactions, and total fees reach overBTC1000.
People can't transact bitcoin with low fees at the moment, prefer to use other coins such as litecoin and bcash.
Maybe bitcoin could drop back to $5000.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a sign??? on: November 11, 2017, 10:52:46 AM
It's just a banner in my point of view, but what matter whether it's emblazoned on the wall of a big store in your city? Or someone just put it there to notify there's something called bitcoin. But, we are as bitcoiners, adopters, bitcoiners may accept bitcoin if we have a merchant, store, business or a company, it will introduce and intrigue people to know more about this technology.
407  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are there any reliable cloud bitcoin mining sites? "new member" on: November 11, 2017, 07:57:48 AM
How much bitcoin do you have?
There few famous cloud mining, but seems all of them aren't profitable anymore in long term, as you may get ROI in 6 months.
You may consider to hold bitcoin untill 6 months later, and voilla > you have more profits than invest in cloud mining.
There's no such easy passive income as you need big capital to start it, or invest on a legit project (hard to find one).
Just buy an antminer s9 from Bitmain website in the next batch, and start mining by yourself. 14 TH/s from an antminer S9 may give a good profits in long term.
408  Economy / Economics / Re: Someone from 2020 contacted me on: November 11, 2017, 07:36:13 AM
Hahaha.  Cheesy

Reminds me of a poster on another forum who claimed to be from the future. He called himself John Titor. Its a famous internet story. Someone might even have patented the method of time travel he claimed to have used.

I think if we still have bitcoin in 2020 the price could be higher than $12,000.

Indeed, that's a good pict but consider bitcoin price increases over 100% last year and over 600% in this year, we may predict bitcoin be able to reach $20,000 in 2020 obviously. But why just bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and omnisego? People must be wondering about these coins Grin. Hopefully ethereum could reach over $1000 in 2020, but not sure about the rest. Bcash may has a good chance to reach over $5000 as well, only if people desperate waiting for bitcoin network and transactions stuck for days.
409  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-09] Bitcoin Cash Markets Remain Resilient As the Network’s Upgrade Appr on: November 11, 2017, 07:00:26 AM
People intrigued by current price and development of bcash.
It's something good for bch to reach another ATH, as it provides some advantages over bitcoin, such as bigger blocksize.
At current network traffic on blockchain, people may transact bch easily, faster, and pay small fees compare to bitcoin.
However, I'm not using bch, have sold all of my bch today after it reaching tempting price over $910.
Maybe it will continue to rise or maybe will get dumped soon, as people tend to sell at the peaks.
410  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin ever be safe for any investment ? on: November 10, 2017, 11:59:18 PM
I'm assuming you both are from locations where banks and money transfers are relatively easy with the systems that have been in place for decades.  If you're in the US, you have many options.  Banks that are trustworthy for the most part.  You have FDIC assurance.  The US dollar is a relatively stable currency.  ACH transfers, while they take a few days, work great.  Bitcoin is not meant for us.

Go to places with capital controls like China.  Go to places with currency instability like Venezuela or Argentina, where the native government issued currencies are not as easily usable.

There bitcoin is actually welcomed with open arms.  I bet more people in Venezuela use bitcoin on a daily basis just to survive and buy every day things than people who know what bitcoin is in the US.

The US and a few other countries that have stable currencies are the exception, not the rule.  Bitcoin is meant for the rest of the world to facilitate easier transfer of money, to hold on to value what people currently have, and to easily use the currency for transactions.

Now a lot of people still don't have bitcoin, even those for whom the currency is really meant for.  There's a finite supply.  In a few years a majority of the world, say at least 4 billion worth will be trying to get their hands on just 21 million bitcoin.

I think the value will be there as an investment.

Indeed, bitcoin is an alternative currency which has utilities in daily basis.
I'm not sure about what Op mentioned, just don't get it properly, but people could treat bitcoin as investment and it's pretty safe.
There are few regulations in few different countries regards cryptocurrency, and the best place is Japan due to bitcoin has been legalized in there. If you said: but the  lack of proper monitoring system by implementing different protocols, will cause; client are demotivated for using this currency on investment projects, of course it is. That's why bitcoiners trying to submit ETF to IRS to regulate it, but it's not easy due bitcoin volatility.
411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peak and correction coming on: November 10, 2017, 07:33:48 PM
So we've peaked and correction is showing up already.
As i wrote 9 days ago i was expecting more flash crashes and overall a 1000$ + correction at least.
Both happened already.

Currently price is about 6500$ on Bitstamp and some reaction should build from here to about 6350$.
You may choose to ride the upcoming rebound, but be extremely careful.

People aim to buy back in the dips, after reach the peak, bitcoin always get corrected, slowly or significantly within days/hours.
The time has come, bitcoin price falling down from $7888 to $6500, people have withdrawn their investment from bitcoin for now.

On the other hand, bcash price suddenly gain huge value again, over 50% increases today, maybe traders and investors have reallocated their funds into bcash.

412  Economy / Securities / Re: How do you decide which ICO to invest in? on: November 10, 2017, 04:57:54 PM
Consider a reliable investment, the idea of the project must be sustainable and profitable for long term.
Don't just invest in a project to get coins and then just trade it after get listed on exchanges, most likely you won't get much profit.
Because most people who have bought this coin intended to sell it immediately as well.
But, for a long term project with an innovative ideas or product will give you good profits.
413  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-11]Bitcoin slides by over $1000 in less than 48 hours on: November 10, 2017, 04:30:32 PM
The price is still OK

Very much OK. The correction was long due and was to be expected. What I don't like about it is that it was caused by the manipulation from the 2x team who first cancelled it and then backtracked saying it's still gonna happen. It's clearly a move to create a confusion and turmoil in the market.

if we only get correction will be good but hope not happen crash

2x hard fork suspended will not cause panic sell or crash in bitcoin market, only government and exchange get hacked may cause crash. But, I don't know if 2x developers stated against their first statement about suspending 2x hard fork.
However, bitcoin price still above $6500 which is a good sign, bitcoin price has rebound to $6900 within hours.
After bitcoin reach its peak over $7800, we know there will be corrected, so it's normal in this crypto-market.
414  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Lumi - The most secure, easy & handy bitcoin wallet on: November 10, 2017, 03:07:46 PM
We are very happy that you like the UI!  Smiley
For sure, we are developing Android right now and it will be presented soon!

Will be looking forward to it.

Will there be options like RBF (replace-by-fee), signing of messages, sweeping, and importing of wallets?

There won't be signing of messages (commenting) because we work directly with blockchain and don't really see the importance of that option. But if our users will insist on that, it can be discussed.

As for importing, it already exists. But we guaranty the importing of mnemonics which were created in Lumi app because different wallet use different implementation of his feature.

Sweeping...it is more or less just creating a new wallet and sending all your funds on it. There is no automated option of sweeping but you always can do it manually by creating a new wallet in our app. We plan to make possible to create several bitcoin wallets under the same mnemonic but I believe that usually users sweep their wallet when they suspect that someone may have an access to it. So the best variant is to create the new one and send your coins there.

RBF hasn't been in our earliest plans. But as always we will be happy to hear how high is demand of this feature among our users.

Yes, that's all a wallet developers should consider to included into a wallet.
Replace by fee or set custom fees, import private keys, sweep is an important feature as well.
In case of security and trust for a new wallet, after your team release source code, it will be clear I guess.
415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reaching $10,000 worth is possible this year. on: November 10, 2017, 09:01:17 AM
Nothing for sure, possibly yes, but the best that I expected is $8000 by the end of the year, maybe less than $8k I guess.
There's no any trigger to influence people to buy bitcoin, due to 2x hard fork suspended. But, trend of the end of the year is; buy more bitcoin, it's repeated every year. Bitcoin price keep fluctuate but seems stay above $7000 at the moment. Maybe a little bit correction and continue to rise as the way it is.
416  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Dragon Foundation on: November 10, 2017, 06:08:34 AM
If you invest dollars, you can calculate profits in dollars.
But, if you invest bitcoin right now which is worth $7200, then the profits can't be calculated in dollars, you should calculate it in BTC, due to bitcoin price increase so much in 180 days, even if you buy BTC1, you may get $480 profit in 180 days later.
There's no guarantee if someday this site going offline, or they take and run with so much bitcoin in their pockets after 140 days.
417  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashFlare.io gone out of there mind on: November 09, 2017, 11:52:46 PM
They simply keep the money of most of their customers. Looks, like they are just turning into full scam. Really bad news, after they turned lifetime contracts to one year period.

Indeed, something fishy after they turned to change lifetime contract.
But now, they have changed minimal payout for their customers? Yes, they don't want to pay anyone and intend to keep every coin in their pockets. That's why many people says cloud mining isn't profitable anymore, as most of them reduce payment over time due to one and another reason. It's better to keep your bitcoin and wait until the best time to convert into cash or just keep it until you can easily spend it in your country.
418  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-08]Segwit2x "suspending our plans for the upcoming 2MB upgrade" on: November 09, 2017, 02:17:11 AM
In my mind this is quite sad.
I think it is obvious that we need to upgrade, a smooth upgrade for our community. BTC would grow with smaller fees, it would get bigger recognition as payment not just as investment.

Yes, we need an upgrade to resolve transaction problems, but not necessarily to sacrifice one thing for another.
Just like they said; Our goal has always been a smooth upgrade for Bitcoin.
Although we strongly believe in the need for a larger blocksize, there is something
we believe is even more important: keeping the community together.

In time, to meet scale demand of hundreds or thousands transactions per second, we have to upgrade block size or change basics nodes such as 10 minutes to process a new block to added to the end of chain. But, as long as segwit be able to resolve current market transaction, no need to upgrade. But, still; this is quite sad.

Well, there is nothing to do. just let it go, people do mistakes. And aTriz acknowledge this miscalculated.
At least IRM ICO works and Hopefully their planning going smoothly.

Thanks for understanding. We are working on counting the total coins sold and we will try to give everyone fair amounts, maybe 10 percent of sold tokens. I hope you will never have this issues with one of my bounties again.

Thank you, fair distribution of total tokens sold, and I hope it's not another false promise. Grin

LoL, I feel cheated.
Twitter campaign payout seems reduced significantly, from 5 tokens per retweet and now 5 tokens per week? LoL
Yes, good catch. I feel same though, let's see the manager clarification...

It was 5 tokens per retweet and maximum of 10 retweets per week. What I see now is 5 tokens per week.

I guess this is for new members only? Otherwise, its changing the rules after the campaign is finished, I don't think they would do that!

Yes they did it. 5 tokens per retweet and maximum of 10 retweets will be paid.
It's a fraudulent, for everyone who participate in this bounty campaign.
They should pay what they've promised.
Otherwise, someone will create a scam accusation against them.
