421  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: When difficulty go down earnings go up or down? on: June 04, 2015, 09:28:32 PM
i think diff will never go down. always up up and up
no chance to get profit with low capital and low skill.

Look at a difficulty chart. It's gone down a few times. In fact, the last change was -2.5%!
Enjoy the 'low' difficulty while it lasts...16nm gear hitting the streets momentarily :/
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 0 hash at pool on: June 04, 2015, 09:26:12 PM
Pretty high probability that 1.15kh is simply too low to register on whatever pool your using.  Seriously consider switching to a more profitable algorithm (i.e. x11, neoscrypt, etc.)

429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockstream the reason why 4 core developer won´t increase the blocksize? on: June 01, 2015, 07:36:36 PM
this is why it's better to have only one dev in charge of a project, other should be only auxiliary dev nothing else, after all this started with one man only(we presume)

and it's strange that they(all four) are against the 20MB for the same reason, are they partnered together or something?

We don't know if satoshi was a group or a single man.
In any case, where the hell is satoshi? come back man, we need your opinion now more than ever. I hope his accounts didn't got hacked along with his gmx address...
Sadly I wouldn't be holding my breath for this if I where you.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Gavin Andresen undercover for the CIA? on: June 01, 2015, 07:10:29 PM
I heard they shackled Gavin in a room with all kinds of pulsating lights and techno music until his ears started bleeding to turn him.  He held out longer than any top dog CIA officials thought he would. :p

Sounds like a Die Antwoord concert
Bingo...as a matter of fact the 'secret put him under phrase' is:
"I Fink your Sexy and I like you alot!!"

432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which crash was worse: 2011 or 2014's? on: June 01, 2015, 06:44:35 PM
I used to think it was 2011's because 30 -> $2 is a 95% crash. And people thought bitcoin was truly dead. But bitcoin bottomed 5 months after the crash.

1200 -> $152 was "only" an 88% crash, but 18 months later, it's not clear that there's even a bottom.

Which crash do you think was worse?

I sadly have to agree, the worst is yet to come!  Sad
The good news is that we probably won´t crash more than 100%
lmao...true enough I guess :/
433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 01, 2015, 06:43:25 PM
Is the price crashing because were on a fork? Somebody said we were being forked by some guy named Gavlin? Is that true?
I suspect it has far more to do with the announcement on cointelegraph by Gavin (Chief Scientist for Bitcoin) stating that if consensus isn't met soon on the 20MB per block increase he will be moving his development effots over to bitcoin-xt client.  Not a good sign when the Chief Scientist of the coin your investing in threatens to jump ship would be my guess.

435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I being scammed by coin mama? on: May 31, 2015, 09:25:54 PM
Hi guys any advice is really appreciated! I've been trying to make a test purchase of 0.2 Bitcoin from coin mama which on my searches is a relatively trustworthy site. I've gone through the verification process and submitted to buy the coin but now I have an email saying they want a video of me holding my credit card and reading just the last 4 numbers out. They said I can cover the remaining digits. This sounds so so dodgey to me but I've tried buying coin from 2 other sites now and they all want wire transfer which is nearly impossible for me due to work hours.

Shall I send them the video or is my identity being slowly stolen here!

Thanks!

go to another site.

Coin Mama is an unknown one and you can find others that will only require pictures at most, and that are more trustworthy than Coin Mama.

Demanding you to do a video of you for 0.2 BTC is too much, in my opinion

Yeowza...gotta go with jaberwock here.  The site looks nice enough, and that practice (sadly) is becoming more and more common amongst those exchanges wishing to 'comply' with pending US regulatory framework.  That being said, your also paying quite the premium for those coins on coinmama ($59.95/USD for 0.20/BTC)?  I'll give ya that deal all day long :p

Quite a few sites are starting to use a tiered sort of verification process.  In other words, the more your willing to provide them with the greater your daily purchase limit increases (i.e. Coinbase).
I have to agree that requiring an actual video seems a bit over the top but I guess they are worried about photo doctoring or something along those lines.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: any good miner for x13 ? on: May 29, 2015, 08:31:14 AM
any good miner for x13 ?
easy to setup
actually it is x13+POS
sgminer is probably going to be your best bet.  If your slightly more technically inclined you can also install the optimized X11/X13 binaries by Wolf0 and crew to squeeze a bit more hash out of compatible AMD's if that's what your working with.  More info can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632503.0
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining rig advise on: May 29, 2015, 08:29:14 AM
Also for future reference, you don't typically want to run anything else 'server' related particularly if its anything production level on a rig that's mining.  I haven't worked with a GPU rig that doesn't completely crash every now and again and obviously you don't want this happening on any of your critical server stuff.

Gotta say that was one of the smoothest wallet upgrades I've ever performed.  Keep up the great work fellas.

(not to sure how I feel about the new color scheme yet.  glad you included the option to revert back to 'traditional')
