421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we need to have a stop loss if we are 100% positive about a trade? on: November 29, 2023, 09:35:14 PM
It is not needed anymore if you are 100% sure about your trade. In fact, there is no reason to use a stop loss if you are a daily trader because you know when to sell. Definitely, as a trader we already know what is good for us and if this strategy really works well. Of course, we know what we are doing and what would help to improve our trading results. Therefore, if we think the use of stop loss is not necessary, then there is no reason to use it as well. This strategy is usually used for the starters but not those who have experience already.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: November 29, 2023, 12:33:04 PM
1% is okay, you'll have fun in gambling if that's a significant amount of money.

However, let's use some figures to really determine if it's still fun to gamble using 1% of your income (after tax)...

Say you are earning $1,000 per month, so your budget will only be $10 per month,... .meh... that's non fun and no way people would be able to follow that rule.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 29, 2023, 11:45:33 AM
It looks like Celtics and Sixers started great in first 10 matches. Timberwolves is leading the West but they don't get much appreciation in the poll.

What's the hot discussion right now? Do you have any suggestion for our new poll? Let me know so I'll change it.

First team to get 20 wins maybe?

That's a good question to be in the poll? At least we don't have to wait forever to get the result, after that, you can put another question again. If that would be in the poll question, I guess my vote would be on the Magic to get the first 20 win. I'm just trying to be different as probably no one sees how good the magic this season too.

Warriors still got more games, it's now up to you guys if you would still trust them to disappoint you again -- Grin Grin

They keep disappointing us, it's not new anymore.

Warriors can't even on their home court, how can we expect to play better on the road.
424  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: There's always a price to pay. on: November 28, 2023, 02:03:47 PM

Apart from the fact that we are all bitcoinner, I believe one common thing I find among us is the fact that we are all individual that are very passionate and committed at becoming successful at what we do and I hope this meets someone well out there.

The point is that, if we want to succeed and have a better life, then must work hard also because there is no easy way if getting achievements in life other than sacrificing time to useless and giving effort. We need to set the direction of our life where we want to go and work for it. We sometimes need to be ambitious and motivated from it because having these ambitions, we force ourselves to do something and complete our goal.
Aside from that, we don't need to compare ourselves to others but instead, focus on ourselves and do better things. Invest more Bitcoin and earn more...
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We should start looking into Altcoins on: November 28, 2023, 01:27:16 PM
The Liquidity pouring into BTC will eventually start pouring into top altcoins and we can already see it happening with likes of $SOL , LINK , $INJ etc making massive moves !

The obvious play here is to learn and leverage on top altcoins to buy
Indeed, we should not fall into shitcoins and those projects that promise unrealistic rewards as they only fail in the end.
Better make a choice of established projects as we have a huge assurance that it pum when Bitcoin pumps, it goes along the market trend and yes, the confidence is there. Those on the top 10 altcoins are good options but have not to just focus on altcoins alone because the best option is still Bitcoin.
For me, I spend only 40% of my entire investment capital on altcoins and 60% goes to Bitcoin.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: November 28, 2023, 11:56:50 AM
That is the biggest mistake a gambler will make: that the money to gamble with comes from debt. Most of the gamblers who did that did not become successful, maybe even more in debt because the loan was probably used up immediately after losing.
Actually it will not become a problem if OP had handled it with care like doing some calculated risk. The problem with OP was that he got so ever to win back his losses and probably be profitable that he already forget how to manage the risk. I know there are gamblers out there who borrow money who are successful but they have a focus mindset, their actions arent' dicated by their emotion but by proper planning.

Maybe there are still people doing that, and maybe not all of the loans were used for gambling, but overall, this style remains a bad habit. This shouldn't be a good habit for the gamblers here.

The moral of OP's story here is don't be too emotional in gambing, learn how to accept losses as this is what will happen if we can't accept our losses, we'll continue to chase and we would only stop when don't have something to gamble anymore. It's hard to accept this, as OP mentioned, it needs for him to work 2 years to pay the amount he borrowed that he lose due to bad decision in gambling, but it is what it is now, everyone mistakes so he'll have to accept it and face the problem and solve it.

All I can suggest to you OP is take it easy, it has already happen so you have to accept the consequences of your action, and hopefully you'll learn from your mistake although in a hard way.

I'm sure OP will learn or had probably learned beacuse he already stopped gambling and now just sharing his unfortunate situation.

This is where newbies should see this as learning from the experience of others, they don't need to lose huge amount of money just like OP to learn, so OP is such a blessing to gamblers who are aggressive enough without thinking the negative possibilities.
427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 28, 2023, 11:31:00 AM
So as expected earlier, the San Antonio Spurs led by a rookie phenom has lost 12 straight games. Luckily for Wemby, it is not the worst, the longest losing streak on the Spurs' franchise was 16. At the moment, they are on a long rest which can re-energize them a lot. I guess their next game against Atlanta is crucial, they should win it and cut the streak while they're at home. Otherwise, I'll start betting again that they'll make history in their franchise since they're facing stronger opposition after their game with Atlanta.

I don't think anyone expects phenomenal results from the Spurs this regular season. It seems Coach Pop is still experimenting and trying to find the best way for the team's further development. By the way, it's worth noting that Victor's individual stats continue to improve. So, if he doesn't get injured, he could really become a team leader in the next few seasons.

Of course, we hope that he won't get injured, as he is rare in the NBA. There are lots of big men, but he is different because he can play both outside and inside. As for Victor, if he could improve and add some muscle, he'll become unstoppable. However, that does not guarantee him winning a championship, as even Giannis needed fellow stars to support him before they finally won a championship.
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will transaction fees affect Bitcoin in the future? on: November 27, 2023, 09:52:00 PM
The impact on the daily users is quite huge and they will decide not to use them but instead choose other coins that have cheap transaction fees.
Paying 2-3$ is quite acceptable but paying more than that seems to be difficult. We can simply think that as the demand continues to rise, fees may rise as well and we can expect this in the future. That is why I could imagine if you are in business and accepting Bitcoin as a payment option, I don't think it works, for sure they prefer to use fiat rather than paying $1 if they just buy an item worth $5.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 11:47:42 AM
They didn't perform well because they didn't win; it was a high-scoring game, and that's what they like. However, if they face a team that is good defensively, like the Clippers, they really struggle and can't compete well. If I recall correctly, they are on a 12-game losing streak now. This is not the journey we'd like to witness for a hyped rookie player who is expected to win the Rookie of the Year this season. There were even discussions before that Wemby also has a chance to win the MVP at the same time, but with the looks of it now, it's far from happening.

The Spurs experienced another defeat, previously they also lost to the Warriors but now to stronger team, namely the Nuggets with difference of 12 points.
But in today match against the Nuggets they performed quite well and indeed the Spurs are not balanced opponent when faced with the Nuggets.
Currently, Spurs are at the bottom of the western region and whether they will be better or not in the future is uncertain.

430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 27, 2023, 11:19:39 AM
I find it hard to trust the Gin Kings to cover the spread, given their consistent status as heavy favorites in most of their games. Their reputation and the immense fan support make them a popular choice for many bettors, leading to blind bets on Ginebra without proper consideration of statistics against the spread (ATS). This trend makes it quite easy for bookies to set up lines that trap the public into betting on them.

This is the second time that they did not cover the spread as they lost on their first game and with that i could say that in the next Ginebra game, we better bet on the opponent with that high spread as bookies normally give that to us.

Bishop is unpredictable/inconsistent on his game unlike Brownlee when he's got an off-night, he will facilitate so his teammates will do the job.

Ginebra's next game will be on December 3, a Sunday against DYIP, so we expect high spread again as DYIP is a lowly opponent and might be a trap for all of us bettors  Smiley.

Cool early heads-up! Yeah, the spread's probably gonna be pretty wide since DYIP is kinda like the farm team for Blackwater. I'm thinking Ginebra might be at least -7.5, giving us some wiggle room to tweak our handicap for juicier odds, maybe +6.5 or +5.5. Checking out Bishop's stats, it's clear he's a solid import, but what's lacking is the impact on the team. Brownlee has this ability for elevating his teammates, and Bishop hasn't quite pulled that off yet.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coin memes don't have a project? Is it worth buying for the long term? on: November 24, 2023, 07:58:29 AM
...
Even though there is no clear project, many people are still interested in meme coin because they have increased by thousands of%.
Are meme coin worth buying in the long term?
What is your reason for buying meme coin?
It is tempting you know but if we are very keen on their current performance, you will somehow then think that it was not worth for long-term investment. They are good during hype but they eventually dump after and we can never expect them to recover as nobody will be taking them back high again as their investors are selling their coins already during the surge.

Investing in them is suicide because at the moment you miss the chance to sell them earlier while the project is hot, no way you earn a profit after but just losses.
432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Often Do You Check Your Seed Phrase. on: November 24, 2023, 07:18:07 AM
Honestly, I only checked it when I remembered and probably it was a mistake as it led me to forget where I wrote.
This is why I have a list of things that need to be checked quarterly, I think that was good enough because since it was not saved on my computer, I'm really confident that nobody see it. In fact, it was totally safe rather than storing it on computers and our phones. What I just worry about is when an emergency comes since nobody knows where I keep them.

433  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If i have 1k how to trade future on: November 23, 2023, 01:36:52 PM
If ihave 1k how much to use margin for safe trade

To hold position for say two days

And which safe laverage to use
Please keep in mind that there is no safe trade in trading, it is a risky job and even more difficult for newcomers.
If you want to survive and see your funds for at least 2 days OP, you need to start the basic and choose spot trading, not Future Trading. It Might be hard for you to understand how trading works at this time which is why I encourage you to prepare yourself first but all the answers to your questions can be found once you are actively doing trades. It means that there are a lot of things to find when you have a lot of trading experience.

Meanwhile , Clippers are having 3 victories in a row and by the way they play , I think the 4th one will come too.  Cool
Westbrook coming off the bench has been working so far. There were reports that he personally requested to be "relegated" from his starting role so the team could start playing better and winning. It's not that I'm surprised with the decision to sacrifice but kudos to him if that's what really happened.

Westbrook ditched his pride ages ago, even taking a smaller contract this season to free up space for team improvements. Now, with Harden in the lineup, it seems like his sacrifices are finally paying dividends. Since they started notching up those wins, you can see their experiment is on the brink of success. I'm not jumping to conclusions; before that three-game winning streak, they were stuck in a six-game losing slump with Harden. Their current standing at number 10 with a 6-7 win-loss record isn't exactly impressive yet.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 23, 2023, 11:46:28 AM
Watching the game was a bit stressful. NLEX wasn't exactly great at holding onto their lead, and Northport managed to make it a close one at some point. Luckily, NLEX pulled through in the end, covering the spread. If you're not up for a rollercoaster of emotions and your bet is hanging in the balance, maybe it's best to sit this kind of game out.

That's one of the reasons why i don't watch much live basketball when i bet on one of the team because of that stress whenever things are not going our way  Smiley.

Though NLEX was a bit sloppy on the third and fourth quarter but i trust them that they will cover that thin spread, it's a loss or win and cover the spread hehe. NLEX for me has a better import than NorthPort, that's the reason why i bet for them.

Seems like many of us have won on last night's game, congrats to all, hope that it is always this way.

Yeah, it looked like that was the case last night. Both the single and parlay bets hit the jackpot since the favorites held it down and covered the spread. The NLEX vs Northport showdown was a blast, even though Northport tried to stage a comeback but such attempt failed. But let's be real, their import doesn't match up well to NLEX's. Plus, their import's free throw shooting is seriously lacking. I reckon they should think about swapping imports if it's still possible.

Tomorrow's game:

Phoenix vs Blackwater
ROS vs Ginebra

Though no odds yet but i think Phoenix and Ginebra will be the favorite here but depending on the spread on whom I will bet.

I'm rolling with Phoenix in the opening game and putting my money on Ginebra for the second one. I just can't picture ROS coming out on top against a fired-up Ginebra squad hungry for redemption after taking an L in their previous matchup.
436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you pay for signals? And how much ? on: November 22, 2023, 09:52:09 PM
Dlyou pay for signals? And how much ?
What's your monthly expenses for trading signals? Yearly?
I don't pay but i read alot people pay for signals so how good results If this ?
You have heard that some traders use signal but don't bother to believe them because they are now in regret trusting signals that never works in real trade.
If we think deeply, about why these people offer such services and promise good signals, why not use them by themselves? They are doing this just to trick newbies who are in search of easy money and taking these paid signal groups got caught with them. They are paying in exchange for nothing aside from losing their money. Because in reality, nobody is able to see what exactly will happen in the market and these signals are just a sort of prediction.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They accumulate bitcoin but how about you? on: November 22, 2023, 01:48:04 PM

You can follow them to buy bitcoins and a good way to do this is Dollar Cost Averaging.

Many individuals wish to follow in the footsteps of these people, companies, and entities but sadly, they don't have the capability to do it. It means that even if we like it but without financial capabilities, investing in Bitcoin seems not to be the first priority.

Though I encourage people to look at the positive view of Bitcoin and make a decision to invest but still remind them that only invest the amount that we can afford. I don't mention the amount we lose as it is because Investing in Bitcoin is truly profitable if managed well, so I don't think there is a reason to lose our money if we want to earn.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 22, 2023, 11:40:13 AM
One more game and the parlay outcome, I missed the chance to follow your pick as I lost my coins for the Sixers, hahaha..(off-topic)

I guess NLEX is gonna win here and the parlay bet will win. As to the Sixers, yeah they lose, just a bad beat since the game went to OT but they still lose. I also saw the post of @finestream in the nba betting thread.

The next game kicks off in less than 30 minutes. I'm really curious about the handicap. I don't remember it initially being set at -3 for NLEX; that seems too easy to cover. NLEX is the team that pulled off a win against SMB with that epic comeback, while Northport got trounced by Magnolia. Bettors would probably jump on NLEX -3 in a heartbeat.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 22, 2023, 11:11:14 AM
I also prefer Chet to win. I'm planning to make a bet on him while it's still 2.50. Wemby is at 1.50 so I am not surprised if he will really take the ROTY knowing he has all the time to pump his stats. There's also a big difference when it comes to the coaches since OKC's mission is to win and get into the playoffs as deep as possible. While the other coach is fully giving his time to Wemby.

Next season should be another interesting one in terms of these 2 players. But I expect OKC to become a better team that is capable of becoming NBA champions while San Antonio starts building players fit Wemby.

Chet is on the right team as they are on a mission, not just to make the playoffs but to be competitive once they are in the playoffs. With SGA playing the way he is and Chet making significant contributions, this OKC team is stronger than last season, and they've gained valuable experience. On the other hand, Wemby's hype might persist, but it's hard to ignore that his numbers aren't living up to the fans' expectations anymore.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 21, 2023, 09:27:01 PM
There is always a way to invest in Bitcoin if we really want it but if we always think that it is expensive and can't afford it, really it never works.
Well, investing is just for those individual who think about their future, not those who always have a reason to decline. Well, we can't force them either OP but at least hearing this advice makes them think and at least could open their minds and consider the opportunity. Otherwise, they can be like those people who feel regret and blaming themselves why they don't invest in Bitcoin while the price is just $20k, $30k.
