It’s not out of the ordinary what grannies could mean to a lot of persons. Those whose life were built around them and are used to taking their calls. It’s better he be out than have another emotionally imbalanced player on the pitch. You wouldn’t find the quality you seek from a mourning player.

It could also be dependent on close they and whether it's paternal or maternal, because at least from this part of the world most people tend to be closer to their maternal side of the family and we only get to hear it when some for dies from the paternal side, sometimes even very late.

Given how significant Haaland is to both the EPL and FPL, I'm very sure there would have been some major updates about him likely to be away from the team for personal reason and whatnot.

But regardless, I was already thinking whether or not to use my Triple Captain chip yet, perhaps this is a significant sign.

Good thing you were joking about 100 BTC; if I lose, even my kidney/eye/liver etc wouldn't fetch more than 1 BTC at best market rates Wink

Lies! Coming from an early Bitcoiner, I'm sure your stash of BTC is 3 worth figures, if not 4  Cheesy

If he doesn't have a special occasion you are absolutely right. However this situation can vary from person to person. For example as my grandmother and grandfather raised me their loss would affect me more than my parents'.

He'll surely pay his respect and all, but I don't think that will keep him away from the team, honestly knowing fully well that he barely just returned from injury and would need all the playing time he can get to be anywhere near being as match fit as possible and finding his incredible as well.

---------------------------------------------

I'm still tripping down on Liverpool even without Trent Arnold, My team would be fine even for Liverpool's blank week, because Liverpool fixture after the blank week still look pretty except for a fixture against Man City.

But if we look at the statistics, it looks like this match will end in a draw.

Shakhtar finished 2:2, and secured me a win this round
happy to finish season that way

Marseille was on top two times, but Shakhtar had enough firepower to strike back, but could not turn it over
and second goal came in overtime too
first half was far from exciting, but second half was thoroughly better, and looked as European fight for next round in Europa league
Congratulations! I needed you to win the match😁 I have at least secured 8th place since I pass Jayce on the table😁 Now Harkorede and jeremypwr have to do the rest of the work and win their matches so that I come in 7th or 6th place 😁

And by the way, right now cryptofrka is on direct relegation with today's result 😂😂😁

That's literally where the mafia boss belongs, lol!

It's pretty much a very delicate case with me, my arse literally got saved by Shakhtar Donetsk late draw, if not things would have gotten out of hands for me, but there is just one question left which is Chelsea vs Man City, I'll be need at least 4 goals from 3 or more different scorers win, or not two or less goals from 2 or less different scorer to earn a draw.

Too bad for me on that Real Madrid question I really should have been in the driving seat, I just hope I don't a few places If it ends up as stalemate.

But I'd be cautious about putting too much time into FPL, cause that tends to mess with 3-5 GW plans and the grand scheme of things.

Exactly, that why it's often almost like going from bad to worse 1-2 weeks after using wildcard despite it being the most valuable chip in FPL, and the earlier and longer you plan towards a game week that 4-5 weeks away, the worse your team becomes over that stretch, at least it has happen to me year in year out, but maybe some people are often luckier in cases like this.

Manchester City had the ball but Copenhagen tried to defend well. City found opportunities again in the first 10 minutes and the first goal came in the 11th minute. De Bruyne's return took City up a level. His harmony with Foden is perfect.
After the goal, Copenhagen's resistance will decrease and City will be able to get more opportunities. City wants to get an advantageous score from the first match and advance to the next round. Copenhagen had a disadvantage because their own league wasn't played, this became clear. It will be a smooth round of 16 pass for City.
Copenhagen are playing absentees in the match. They still managed to score 1-2 and score one goal. If they can stop Manchester City at 2 and score one more goal, they can make the miracle happen. Even a draw is a good score for Copenhagen. Real managed to take the lead in the other match. Brahim Diaz's goal put Real ahead in Germany. I expect more goals in the rest of the match because the match is lively.

No disrespect to Copenhagen but this is a walkover feature to begin with, even if they had managed to secure a draw at home, they will be completely ran over in Etihad.

It's still quite too early to start throwing such possibility, but Man City looks like they can defend this title given the caliber of the remaining favorites and their current form in the various domestic leagues.

I'm so livid right, ffs I had Real Madrid to win and both team to score - No, initially but I was trying to play safe because that's what I guessed my opponent would choose too so I didn't want to give away free points, but I was convinced about Real Madrid defensively after the game against Girona on Saturday, I just should have gone with my guts! My self and leea-1334 have 4 different answers, and I'm able to take a 1-0 lead with Guardiola choosing not to play Julian Alvarez at all  Grin, I went with no for all, because the question was very tricky, I expected Foden and/or Alvarez to get some rest here and most of the other players were supposed to have huge playing time by my presumption, I just didn't want to apply logic to a question that involves the Man City team roulette master, Guardiola.

I have just submitted my picks a few minutes ago, so now it's totally out of my hands.

Quite some fine margin questions to be honest, and I'm not so confident, but I'm very sure my boys will not go down with a proper fight...

Goodluck to everyone playing for something! Of course with exception of the person playing against me and those trying to get ahead of me  Wink

Oh my! oh my!! here is another pool to waste some money on, I really would have loved to join this pool, but then I have no iota of clue about F1 race season or how is it being called ? but 100 bucks for the knowledge might not be bad, if my hands aren't way too filled already, I'll come up with a decision during the coming week as regarding my potential participation.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: February 12, 2024, 07:02:02 AM
But I need differentials just not sure where to find them.
And it looks like Triple (C) is now a must for Haaland next week.

Too find differentials you need to think outside the box or take risk with certain players, and blank weeks and when a couple of premium players are injured or unavailable are often the best time chances to get them, but great differentials often last for only a week or two before they come a trend, e.g: If you look at Brighton, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and West ham, they've all got some decent fixtures ahead of them, and you can easily find one or a few differentials from this team, but you need to be convince that the differential you're chasing isn't going backfire, especially if you taking them against players with owners with good form and fixtures ahead too.

-------------------------------------

I'm also thinking of calling my triple captain chip too next game week, but it just might not be on Haaland, Chelsea and Brentford aren't as awful as they're portrayed and Man City are playing their CL first leg this midweek, that could mean a possible 4 games for Haaland within 10 days, I think Guardiola could be cautious with his talisman, a Liverpool player would likely be my call, if I were to go ahead.

Kansas City Chiefs with a back to back Superbowl, but that was some game I'm not going to lie, every fan and viewer in the stadium really got way more than their money's worth for such an incredible performance from both teams... It really was a special event from get go until the very end, and It was also worth me staying up to see the game all night along.

Patrick Mahomes is a generational talent, and not to undermine his teammates efforts, but he won this Superbowl for the Chiefs, and finals  MVP was truly deserved.

Yes baaaaabbbbby! Thanks Kansas City Chiefs for defending your Superbowl, and Mahomes the finals MVP (in view) yet to be announced  though, got me 3 points for this week, and after a really really tough game against, cls63, I secured a marginal victory, damn! That was very very close mate, good game  Wink

I'm surprised he's able to play, usually players that are loaned out cannot play against their parent clubs.

yeah, it is a practice to not let players play against parent club

Isn't that just an EPL of English FA thingy ? I'm not so sure If I've witnessed players not being allowed to play against their parent clubs in other league, I could be wrong because I don't think I pay much attention to it, I used to believe it's due prevent any form of potential match fixing debate or accusation, you can only imagine the kind of investigation that could warrant or bring up especially if it's in favor of the parents' club.

For instance imagine the infamous Leicester City center-back Wout Faes scoring two own goals within the space of seven minutes against Liverpool last season, if he were to be a Liverpool loaned player to Leicester City and there then that happened, I really doubt the British media, or any media would have gotten over the possibility of that being a match fixing scenario.
That is the problem of his new club not his old club. It is up to them to judge the player and see if that player will be extra motivated to play against his old club or if he will be hindrance.

In my opinion, loaned players love to stick it to parent club and then not celebrating. Showing at the same time they are good enough to have played for parent club and respect if they get a chance to get back.

Yes, I couldn't agree more that loaned players are often extra motivated to play against their parents club to show them they deserve a better chance as a player, some go extra length to even celebrate their goals *coughs-Joao Felix*, I just want to know if there actually is any policy or rule as per the league that prevents a loaned player from playing against their parents club, or does that mean in as much as the parents club allows it, or whether or not it is a clause that is often included in the loan agreement documents ?

I think Real easy win just ruined my chances in this round, but it aint over till the fat lady sings.

Me too, and freaking DR Congo, all they had to do was just score their 5th penalty and the round would have been all wrapped for me, but now, I'm chasing shadows, needing Milan win and the Superbowl question to go my way to get a win Sad

I wouldn't even blame Madrid for scoring too many goals, because I expected better from the all hyped up Girona  Sad

You should all in on Copenhagen. I highly recommend it!

Don't mind him at all fellas because that's definitely gon-Haa-land you in more trouble than you can afford, but if there is nothing left to play for, I mean why the hell not ? That's a potential 110 points, a win would mean from Grass to pre-Grace, depending on how one could manage getting extra points down the stretch to remain top of the pile.

I read some news about Diogo Jota that he couldn't join training because of catching flu however the source wasn't very reliable. Is there anyone who knows about this topic? By the way how many of you transferred Elijah Adebayo who is playing for Luton? Even though Luton have blank space on gw26 they have double gameweek on gw25 and gw28 both. I'm very regretful now for wasting my wildcard early.
I really hope that isn't true. I just transferred him in.

Rumors about flu in Liverpool are true for sure. I just didn't see any specific names mentioned. Will be though for me if Jota and VVD are out.

I have Solanke coming off the bench if that's true... I really hope it isn't though.

If flu was going to come, it should've came last week Angry

That'd be some blow to me too, especially coupled with the fact I had to take some points hit to get him in and deciding to let go of Saka for the next few game weeks, all I'll be getting is Douglas Luiz coming of the bench for him, If the news were to be true I would have been better off sticking with Saka, to be honest or I wouldn't even mind then if he Saka blanks for the game week since I wouldn't have taken an extra minus -4 points for that transfer.
459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 10, 2024, 10:27:47 AM
The Hornets are getting beat down as bad as anyone I can remember right now. Down by over 40 in the 4th and they haven’t broke 70 points yet. Good news for the Bucks I guess. Maybe that trade for Pat Bev gave them the fire they needed to start performing as expected. Huge mismatch anyway though.
That's not a real test for them, Hornets has been struggling and on a losing streak, so it's a mismatch and that didn't prove anything that they already figure out how to beat strong teams. Real test will be vs Denver on their next game, I'm fading them that time.

No one would consider Charlotte Hornets as a test for how good a team is or how bad they can get, but Pat Beverley signing is a big W for the Bucks, he's arguably the most energetic guy in the NBA, he was only on the team for 5 minutes but you can feel he's energy already grabbing the clipboard and coaching Brook Lopez already, lol. He's really a guy that'd give you 101% whenever he's on the floor and he doesn't even shy away from communicating with his team mates when he's on the bench too, the atmosphere is a completely different one with him around, and he's a really lovable guy too, so far he's on your team.

Crappy game from the Denver Nuggets although understandable because they are exhausted.
But the LA Lakers on the other hand are superb. Beating a fully rested New Orleans Pelicans while the Lakers are also exhausted from yesterday's game.
D'Angelo Russell was cooking. 30 points, 6/13 in the three-point line, once he got hot there's no stopping that man.

I guess Lakers just need to put trade rumors around him whenever the need an A game from him, but for real, he's been too hot to handle for the past few games, and it couldn't have arrived at a better time for an undermanned Lakers team still fighting for a good post season run.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone, we return to Champions League next week, plenty of time to put in your picks for both Pots.

Games will trickle down very quickly, but not quite to a point beyond salvation for most of us, so let's give it a good rub on the bottle and put your wishes in.

Woah! It's feels good to have the champions league back, it's been taking almost like forever.

Quite bad for me, though, after initially starting quite strongly in the first 3 round 3 round, being unable to get myself any point from the final 3 rounds of the group stage placed me in more of bad zone, but there is still enough time to make a good run for it with a total number of 7 rounds left, now I just have to make a every round worthwhile and get something off it.
