442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: August 23, 2020, 08:33:57 PM
In the crypto space today, there are many people who prefer coins with less supply and there are others who prefer those with billions of supply. In the same way, there are projects which chooses their maximum supply based on what they are trying to achieve and so on. So what I can say is, maximum supply goes beyond what we think it is, because there are projects with billions supply doing well in the same way there are those with less supply (maybe millions) still doing well. But amidst whatever reason a coin will end up with millions as maximum supply or billions as maximum supply, the valuable nature of that project will still come from how good the team are, how good the use case is and how good the community is, among others.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: August 23, 2020, 08:19:04 PM
A coin or token is worthless, valueless or useless until it is listed on exchanges whether top exchanges or bad exchanges, where a price will be placed on it, thus determining how valuable or useless it can be. About your coin, I don't know about it, actually it's my first time of hearing it, but since your token is in your personal wallet then there is no issue because the team will try to maintain their project thus listing on another exchange. Also from another angle, the team can still overlook everything and exit the project using the exchange hacking as an excuse, nothing is impossible for most team to do. What you should do is to meet the team and know their plans, but if they have abandoned the project or showing to be less concerned then forget about it and move on as there is little you can do.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always consider and be a wise investor! on: August 23, 2020, 08:10:45 PM
as a project investor you must be wiser before investing in a project and will never open your wallet for any project without thinking about it 10 times or even 20 times. At that time or precisely in 2017, almost all ICOs were seen as potentially profitable companies and people assumed that there would never be an end to the boom that occurred in the entire cryptocurrency market. And then reality struck.

Today, the landscape has changed a lot and those who are burning leave the market completely or they continue but with a different mindset emerging from an unforgettable and sometimes regrettable experience. Investors demand more information and they want to be given real facts only because of the inclusion of the IEO project in a leading exchange. In 2019, it might be rather difficult to distinguish trends in knowing which types of projects might be a big success because there are many factors that need to be considered, but we hope that above all investors are more mature, more demanding and more discriminatory. Once again consider before investing in a project and don't give bait to the scamers out there!

Personal research and/or, due diligence should never be ignored no matter the project, no matter the hype, no matter the so called experts supporting it. If we can clearly understand the Importance of studying every project before investing, then I think we will go a long way in stopping bad projects from seeing the light of exchanges. But nowadays, the reverse is the case, once hype is sensed around a project or once a crypto expert, influencer, or analysts says a project is good, most people rushes to invest without doing the right thing. Therefore, just like you pointed out, a wise investor considers many factors and make the best decision towards investing in any project.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: looking to the future of crypto on: August 23, 2020, 08:03:20 PM
Seeing the development of new projects that have sprung up recently has people experiencing a motion of no confidence in crypto. because many projects do not have good long-term prospects. they just want to get profit alone regardless of the losses of others and do not develop it. have you ever thought that

what is your opinion?

My opinion is in line with yours because it is just the truth. Many projects springing up only have one objective and that is to satisfy and/or fill the pockets of those who created it. Today we are hearing Defi everywhere and it looks like no scam Defi project will spring up, actually it will because the hype is still somewhat fresh and scammers can't miss it. Nevertheless, in the midst of all the scam projects there are still good ones contributing to the betterment of the crypto space, these good ones could be Defi projects or any other whose team understands what lies in the future hence working towards it. Lastly, with the rampant upcoming of new projects, due diligence should never be ignored no matter what.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sports Industry taking over the Crypto space on: August 23, 2020, 07:37:32 PM
You made a good observations and stated your opinion well but those who are into Defi projects will not agree with you, they will say Defi will take over the crypto space because of the hype and so on. At the same time, those into other categories or sectors of the crypto space will also point out and back up their claims as to why their own is better of. So in essence, one sector such as the sport industry can't take over the crypto space rather every other sector will contribute in their own way to make the crypto space valuable and great.

448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin, ethereum etc. cryptocurrency or digital asset? on: August 22, 2020, 11:21:46 PM
earlier I apologize if my English is bad

This is what is always on my mind "bitcoin, ethereum, ripple etc. are cryptocurrencies or digital assets?"
have you ever thought that the naming of cryptocurrency is very influential on bitcoin etc.? because the naming of cryptocurrencies that are currently attached to bitcoin etc. makes bitcoin clash with government regulations relating to the applicable currency

what happens when the name cryptocurrency is changed to a digital asset? I think this will make it easier for bitcoin to be adopted in various countries because it doesn't conflict with financial regulations

I think the naming of cryptocurrency or digital assets plays a big role in the perspective and development of bitcoin

this is just my assumption, what do you think?

Fiat currencies are hard or physical currencies that you can touch or feel. Then cryptocurrencies are currencies that you can not touch nor feel hence the name, so I think is it correct. Also, digital assets also means digital currencies, the word digital is as a result of the technological nature of the assets or currencies, so in the same way, digital assets or digital currencies is correct. Now looking at these two, you will understand both means the same thing, which is currencies which cannot be touched but are piloted and backed by the technology they depends on. So in my own opinion, whether they are called cryptocurrencies, digital currencies or digital assets, they all means the same thing, hence Bitcoin, Ethereum and so on falls under it, and represent by it.

450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Start investing in encryption currency,Target profit to double on: August 19, 2020, 11:58:59 PM
You invested such amount in a project which is likely a new project, not even on Bitcoin, wherein new projects has shown to be highly risky all this while. Well, it is your funds and you decide but however I think making worthy investments in good projects is very important not going about jumping into any project just because it looks good. Also, most projects which have this kind of concept doesn't look trustworthy to me and hence I will urge you to make sure you are making the right decision.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH LimiteD, Ponzi scheme project from Vietnam on: August 19, 2020, 11:48:52 PM
They will keep coming out because they know there are people who will always participate in it no matter all that has been said. There are people who believes they can be quick to make money from Ponzi without knowing the team of those Ponzi schemes are always smarter. Also, nowadays they use Ethereum to make it look like they are running a legit project thus a perfect cover to attract greedy people. Until most people come to the understanding that Ponzi is only out to make money off them, then will they stop participating in it.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite project these days? on: August 18, 2020, 11:32:52 PM
Which other can I say other than Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a coin that gives calmness to holders Unlike other coins or rather other new coins which are more like pump and dump coins. Bitcoin is the best in my own opinion because it is the most trusted and most valuable, these two reasons are enough for me to regard it as my favourite coin. If I should add another, it would be Ethereum because of how active the team are.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get moved by fake good news on: August 18, 2020, 11:22:00 PM
You are browsing through Twitter or telegram and you come in contact with news like this '𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝  Mr George Anderson ịt has been a life changing experience and a God sent to humanity 𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙤𝙭 𝙝im 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚'
Join link???

When ever you come across such it's a total scam, it's never real to begin with, it's just a fake good news to lure you into a trap, do not bother to read

The fact is people who make it big aren't always ready to share news about how they do it

Although it looks funny how those guys have the strength to spam various groups with their messages but what baffles me more is the fact there are still people who gets involved with such things and hence ends up being scammed. One of the things about scams from this type of posts which they spam telegram groups with is that, they attach a very attractive reward which will draw greedy people into clicking the link and the whole thing starts, therefore it means that, once anyone gets rid of greed the person will always disregard scam posts.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: August 16, 2020, 07:11:00 PM
I have thought that one key advantage crypto (bitcoin, litecoin, Dash, monero etc.) has over gold is that its supply level is fixed and transparent, but can this or features make crypto more valuable than gold?

Crypto to be more valuable than gold is possible but highly relative as well. What I meant is, not all crypto will be more valuable than gold, they are very few and it starts from Bitcoin and few other altcoins those team are serious and conscious of the future. While those whose team only cares about quick profit and their pockets won't go far nor even be working in the near future. So having that mindset, one needs to be careful of the projects to invest in, if you are future conscious then stick to trustworthy cryptocurrencies.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what new coins are promising? on: August 16, 2020, 07:05:05 PM
hey guys, i have been holding since 1Q2017, and pretty much closed my eyes on crypto since the huge crash.
i see its getting back on its feet slowly, just been wondering are there any new coins that are looking good and promising. i could dyor them but it would take at least a week Smiley

thanks!

Laying my emphasis on the title, it will be hard to answer the question, not that the answer is not available but that many things affects the answer. Now I might say Defi projects, but the trusted ones are most likely those who have been in the market for a long time now because those just coming up might be questionable because scammers are always around. Now talking about other new projects, they will likely not be promising because Defi is the center of attention now and even most projects are gradually adjusting to accommodate Defi projects features. To suggest, go for Defi projects but be very careful.

457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons Why am I adding as many Ethereum bags as possible? on: August 15, 2020, 11:52:47 PM
What if it doesn't? Who is to be blamed? Well, I am not doubting that ETH won't attain that price and even more but saying it will reach such price by the end of the month looks too much. Also, predictions is one thing that goes sideways and most of the times it has never worked hence turning investors to bag holders; although it depends on the coin. Nevertheless, thanks for bringing the signal and those who are willing to take risks can try it out.  As for me, I have been holding ETH as I believe in it.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap's New Feature "Earn" on: August 14, 2020, 11:51:53 PM
Since Binance bought coinmarketcap there have been many good changes starting from the ranking of exchanges to having a chat feature, Defi sections and now this one. This shows that Binance team are innovative and thus bringing the ideas and experiences gathered over the years from Binance exchange to coinmarketcap. Also, it shows that in the near future, coinmarketcap will be so different, innovative  and user-friendly thus attracting more users. Nevertheless, I will visit to know more this feature, it will surely be a good one.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SCAM?!] How to withdraw funds from InstaGlobalPay? on: August 13, 2020, 11:58:31 PM
Investment of 1BTC gives $50,000, then who knows what the 3 BTC will yield; this is what these Ponzi schemes and scammers use to attract people, because they know there are many greedy people and once they see offers like this, they won't hesitate to participate. Also, the owners might make it more attractive by paying for while to attract more users before throwing the final blow. Your friend have been scammed and of course he won't believe now because of the money he invested but gradually it will be dawn on him. Also, he should be careful as they might come with another way of getting more money from him while promising to pay him.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non DeFi projects starts going DeFi on: August 13, 2020, 11:48:25 PM
Be suspicious of any projects that just decide to implement DeFi all of a sudden when DeFi wasn't implemented in the project's features from the beginning, this is nothing but a way to take advantage of DeFi Hypes going on nowadays, if you are a deep crypto fan like myself you should be seeing few old projects that aren't DeFi from birth and start talking about implementing DeFi feature, I'm 100% against this act as it's unclean and dangerous

It is already happening and that shows how desperate most team are in looking for a way to make money. How can a project with defined features all of a sudden decides to change or add another different features which wasn't there from the on set, the question is, how can they even develop on it when it's obvious they have no idea about it beforehand?. Defi has caused the hype so now, every one is trying to get their own share of the money, while this will benefit the team more the users might be trapped. Therefore just like you advised, it is very important to be careful of such projects because there is nothing they are bringing but are coming to take.
