Listen guys,

I'm not going to say who it is because I was privileged to that information and would like it to stay that way.

You don't need to know who it is just that it isn't Active Mining but I would have LOVED for it to be.

Now let's move on, if the person, person(s), or company that is holding that address want to come forward then that is when you will know who it is.

What miners could they potentially be using to add to the network in increments of 25 TH?
442  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 30, 2013, 03:54:22 PM
He never said it was an individual.
Bargraphics was asked "what machines is he/she using?" He did not correct the assumption it was an individual. But if it isn't, then he can tell us who it is. No need to keep it secret.
443  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 30, 2013, 03:45:46 PM
225 TH/s is a nice, even 9x24.567 TH Fast-Hash One Platinum miners.

It goes from 65 TH (roughly 3x24.5 TH - could have been working out some bugs, bad chips, or hardware build issues), to 100 TH (roughly 4x24.5 TH), to 150 TH (roughly 6x24.5 TH), to 225 TH (roughly 9x24.5 Th)...

Whoever is mining is operating at roughly 2.25% of the global Bitcoin hash rate.

It's not ActM. I know this for a fact, as much as I would rather it be them.
Do you know who it is? Whoever it is is mining on your pool - the one you suggested Ken mine on.

They are adding in increments divisible by 25 TH.

It's not "my" pool but yes I do mine there Tongue

I also do know who it is.

What machines is he/she using?

Pretty good ones apparently Tongue
You are saying that this is an individual who is adding hashing power in increments of 25 TH? What miners could these potentially be?

Couldn't Active Mining been VMC's first customer, thus receiving the first "shipped" units?

I am starting to feel that if I go to sleep now I may miss the drop that is coming.
448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 29, 2013, 02:30:58 AM
The reason people don't understand Bitcoin is that we get too caught-up in the details instead of just saying "its a currency and payment system that gets rid of all those fees you pay with Paypal and credit cards. Here, you set it up like this (download Electrum wallet, then send them some coin and have them send it back to you). There, thats all there is to it. If you want to buy coins setup an account on Coinbase (or other). If you want to accept Bitcoins for your business, setup an account on BitPay and they will instantly be converted to USD. Later."

How we explain it: "Bitcoin is a decentralized, P2P, crypto-currency which allows near anonymous world-wide exchange of value between any two parties. For the first time ever, two people don't need a bank account or a middle-man to transact. Bitcoin is secured by cryptography and miners that crunch numbers to verify the blockchain. The blockchain is a decentralized public ledger which records all transactions. Everytime a transaction is made various nodes confirm the transactions, which eventually get validated once and for all once the miners find the proper cryptographic hash... Bitcoin is going to change the world forever and end the banking monopoly on money and credit and much like email ransacked the post office. etc. etc. "

The trolls have entered hyper-drive.

nevermind... this post was a stupidly obvious realization.

Someone has successfully applied an antigravity device to the Bitcoin price. It is like a hot-air balloon rising without the voluminous sack that holds all the hot air.

I'm still calling we hit $400 on Gox - maybe as low as $350. I don't think this is much more than a coordinated pump to dump some coin.
453  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 26, 2013, 12:31:31 AM
Nice. Merry Christmas, Ken.

Remember this... apparent trends and analysis mean nothing in a rigged market.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2013-11-21] Alpha Technologies Announces ASIC Miners for Litecoin are Coming on: December 25, 2013, 05:18:12 PM
i hear the first batch is already sold out? hmmmm didn't even know they started selling them.
They just released the damn email today. The website is down... how can they already be sold out?

It doesn't matter, these units are not profitable at current prices anyway. You will make like 200 LTC after a year if you got your unit Today.
456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 24, 2013, 04:34:43 PM
At what point do we stop having flash crashes and start having... the 1 month long slow grinding downtrend from hell.
I think there will only be one more which will test $300-$350 or near the top of the last "bubble".
457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 24, 2013, 04:29:53 PM
I think we are due for another short and small flash crash. Trend is still down from here.
458  Economy / Securities / Re: Ken will succeed on: December 21, 2013, 02:34:05 AM
Ken will succeed.
Product will be shipped.
Miners will be assembled.
Dividends will roll in.
A viable exchange will be found.
Trading will be strong.
Prices will rise.
Crumbs won't get his cheap shares.

I love these line drawing sessions... pick two places on a graph and draw a line between them, where ever the line intersects the price axis, that is where the price is going. Hahaha... I've never seen one of those be accurate with Bitcoin.

ref: rpietila / others who 'knew'

Did they just have 'better' information than us in terms of an early 'nod' on the news?

Maybe this has been raised in the last few pages - I confess I haven't got time to look back - but is it not possible someone knew someone, who knew what was about to happen?

To accurately say 'it will go down to 500' is pretty good.

Was it a timed assault of a wave of selling and the timing was lucky - or was it timed FOR the news once it was obvious it was coming (if you had the right information).

Questions, questions.....

This is a good-quality spinoff from that thread as well: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=366214.0
Multiple people here were saying $400-$500.
