seriously...? my crappy part-time job made me miss the eASIC press release too? My god. I need to quit. I missed out on 100% profit today because of a job I get paid $70 three days per week for. Funny how your job can be a liability in regards to making money.
1242  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 05, 2013, 01:55:43 AM
They didn't lie, they conveniently omitted saying the chips were working.

That's just not a reasonable interpretation of what they said.

They might be lying, but they're clearly indicating they have run into no major issues.
But that could be a lie.
1243  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 07:04:03 PM
Work screwed me out of about 4-5 BTC again. Let me just say that trading is more profitable than work. Missed the "news" and the opportunity to sell at .0038+ and buy back in to increase my shares by about 20%.

This idea that Labcoin could be manipulating stock price in order to generate dividend payments is pretty interesting - anything is possible, I guess.
1244  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 12:47:46 PM
Bought some at 0.0035.  Cool
Probably from me, I sold just in case it went back down to lower 30s again.
1245  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 12:08:24 PM
Perhaps he wants to sell his bitcoins for fiat because he thinks the price is going down - it has a little bit.
1246  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 06:50:18 AM
They aren't the same size, I have measured them. You can scale the image to make them the same size in the comparison you did.

Second, you have not answered why the plastic carriers are different.

I didn't see the scotch tape but it is irrelevant.
u didn't see the scotch tape?!
It's like saying, i didn't not see the chips, i can only see two empty packages.
Not seeing a small piece of transparent scotch tape on the underside of an object is not like saying any such thing. The piece of tape is easily missed.
1247  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 06:43:29 AM
I'll give you that they are the same size. I think I mis-measured them.

He was talking about the plastic carrier... seriously?

You know what, you're right.  Total scam.  There is a shadow of an obfuscated raised plastic bump... those f'n scammers! /sarcasm

This is what happens when you spend to much time on an internet forum.  You get drawn into arguments that make your head hurt.
If they are the same chip, why are the "plastic carriers" different? And why are they different sizes? You are acting like you were so confused that you are now unable to answer a legitimate question.

There are obviously differences, why are they there?
1249  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 06:20:24 AM
They. Are. Not. The. Same. Package. Look carefully at the raised interior portion of the package.

Uh huh, and how are you even comparing the interiors when one is obscured from view by a sheet of plastic?

blah. blah. blah.
Because you can clearly see two parallel raised sections in the tape on the right which are not present on the left (it has a continuous raised section - a rounded corner square with a circle in it) AND the hole is larger in the tape on the right than on the left.

Also, to reiterate, the two chips are different sizes. Could be an effect of distance and camera angle but one is 2 mm larger than the other.
1250  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 06:14:59 AM
If they wanted to cheat, they would've shown the same packages. No cheaters will make such obvious mistakes.
Unless they want to shake people out of their shares to collect a larger percentage of the mining profits. Create some uncertainty.
1251  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 06:12:55 AM
Zoom in to the packaging, it is the same. They have come from a slab and you can see they've been snipped off. The pack on the right was snipped a little rougher.

Wait... do you mean then when he's saying packaging he's refering to the cut tape, and not the plastic lqfp44 packages.

Because normally when someone talks about packaging, I'm assuming they're talking about the packaging

As far as cut tape it looks like someone put some scotch tape on one of the plastic covers to keep it in place, which wasn't necessary on the other.
jesus christ. There is no need to derail the observation with some semantic technicality. There is no scotch tape, those are the covers which hold the chips in their package.

Additionally, the chips are not the same size in this image. One is a couple milimeters larger.

Seriously, it's hard to believe you're not trolling here, because it doesn't actually seem possible for someone not to be able to understand the concept that things look different when they've been flipped over.
The chips may be flipped but the packages are not flipped over. Both have the side which seats the chips facing up.

This is so easy to see that anyone who denies it must be trolling. Again, I am not talking about the chips but their plastic package reels which have been cut-off the main reel.
1253  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 05:48:44 AM
^The two packages are different.  Look at the raised parts in the plastic where the chips sit. There is no way to know what those chips are, they could have been ordered from Mouser.com.

Not trying to troll, just sayin.

*sigh* this has been gone over.  One chip is upside-down.  They are the same chips.

*sigh* again, misdirection regarding my statement again - strawman.

First, I didn't say the chips weren't the same. I said the packaging wasn't the same, which it clearly is not. Then I said, that there really isn't any way to know that these are special ASIC chips, they could be any qfp 44pin chips. But if the packaging is different (and it is), then these are likely either not the same chips or they are the same chips but from different reels which used different packaging.

So does anyone actually expect TH to update us this week?

I wonder how many actually still have open orders at this point.

No. Of course not.

Come on guys give them (assuming there is still more then Amir there) some time!  Amir has to either pay someone to make a picture or find a some advanced looking chips for their next announcement before they take orders!

I mean they could be working on the K-64 they announced they started, or making a proper K-16, or making up specs for their product they already pre-announced, maybe even reading tickets preparing to answer them!

Who knows they could even be a progressive company!  Maybe on this weeks agenda is working from home! They can not answer tickets from the comfort of their own homes!
Did they not yet provide any evidence of a finished or hashing K64?

Its TH..... they announced they were going to start working on one.  The only product to come out of them is a K-16 that did not live up to spec, and had HW errors.

After they announced K-64 being worked on..... they then announced they were going to have another product.   Expect K-16 and K-64 to basically be put aside and TH to ask you to upgrade to what ever their new product is in my opinion (which I'm sure someone will point out soon means nothing)

Funniest part have shown one case and claimed to have 100 i believe.   How many cases does it take to put a single K-16 in working or not?  Roll Eyes
Over a month after it should have been done and it still isn't. They never could have delivered had the chips arrived.

You got to love the guy who thinks that deciding whether or not to buy BTC or mine at a relative loss has something to do with "time preference". All I can do is laugh. You keep saying "time preference" but I don't think you know what that means.

What happened to TerraHash's new plan to bring about the final metamorphosis of ASICs?
1260  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 03, 2013, 04:41:59 PM
damnnnn, i missed those sell out

No you got sometime until the price takes off.

I'm close to giving up on hoping for a drop before they make the next announcement.

I don't think we're going to see meaningful movement until then.

The only question now is...are they on schedule or will they delay?
could be a silver lining as well, i just hope both labcoin and knc delivers

and im expecting the price to reach 38 when 10th september comes, before the hashing is to going to be announced

38? You mean .038? or .0038?
