441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rigging in sports:My Personal Perspective and discussion finding sus. sports on: February 01, 2024, 09:25:03 AM
If we're talking about eSports too then you should've never forgotten about the infamous 322 scandal done by Solo, it's probably the most stupid that he's done because he's a really good player and a captain for some of the eSports team so the people notices it when there's something wrong with what he's doing and this end ups with an investigation that leads it to a betting site where he won around 322 USD for betting against his team, that's also became the term from then on for suspicious plays by other players. It's not really that strange that rigging in sports happens because it almost always, someone rich is betting on some team and that rich someone wants to make sure that they're not going to lose that much money and so they end up having some of their connections try to rig the game, basically the reason for rigging in sports is almost always greed, there's no way that someone wants to do that for the glory, it's almost always the money.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Viewpoint of a fan gambling on: February 01, 2024, 08:55:42 AM
I don't give priority to my favorite star or team what matter's most is which team to win the match, what you are saying is being emotionally attached when you attached emotion in terms of gambling it could cause you damage knowing that such team won't win or qualify for the League then what is the extent of chosen them in your bet to win while not, I am very mindful with my selection and again if you attached emotion it could cause you some damages whereby you would find it difficult to fight over it.
The thing is gamble and make your predictions correctly without having to attached any emotion to your favorite star or club.
Same with me, I try to be logical and reasonable when it comes to which one I should place my bet upon which has the likely wins, the reason why a lot of fans of sports teams and FCs shouldn't bet is because their team/brand loyalty makes them blind to the possibilities that their team might lose or that they think that every other team sucks so they judge them badly but that's not all fans because there are some that really knows the game so in a way, they can still bet but still loyal to their teams because they know how the game works, I don't think that they'll ever bet against their team though, they'll gladly lose on that one but the fervor they'll get if they win is going to be off the charts.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: February 01, 2024, 07:46:38 AM
I'm just trying to make an estimation of the People that gamble solely for the fun and I think it doesn't even equate the number of  people that have their full interest on the winnings alone..
For me the estimation is around 100% of people that gamble have a full interest on winnings alone, I mean despite all the pretentious saying that it's for fun, I don't believe that anyone's gambling solely for fun even if they say so, the allure of money is just too strong that we should ignore it anyway but I wouldn't say that they're all for profit but that's different when it comes to wins, that's your goal when you gamble after all, to win and take home the prize money that so many coveted.
444  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: February 01, 2024, 07:01:10 AM
The only two reasons for winning a game of gambling are extraordinary luck and second is superb skill but the former is more important than the latter as long as luck can be described as invincible. The strategy doesn't work everywhere, often fails and can be lost with bad luck so I keep my sports betting low. Luck is also full of natural surrounds when your skills progress confidence and luck will follow. Before betting on the game you must know the correct strategy of the matches.
There's no superb skill requirement for slots unless you're talking about hacking the slots in a way that will create some sort of winning combination no matter how many times you spin it. Luck is always the biggest factor that's on the side of the house in gambling after all, they wouldn't be erecting those hotel and casinos out there if they knew that they're going to be losing to the people that are betting on their games and the government wouldn't be doing state sponsored lotteries if anyone can just easily make the right combinations, it's all a matter of luck to win in gambling and the people that's got the money and knows about this are exploiting that for profit.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SolVegas.net - Decentralised Casino on Solana blockhain | 0.1% House Edge on: February 01, 2024, 06:19:37 AM
You need to pay a small fee on Solana to create an account.
Hey, welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay here for as long as you like. One question though, why do we need to pay a small fee in Solana to create an account? I don't believe that it's logical for someone to do that right? I feel like anyone should create their account for free. Got a really cool name though. Would definitely check your casino though despite my question, I think it's a fun thing that you've got a 0.1% House edge, I want to put that to the test also, is there a way that you can prove that you do got that house edge?
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: February 01, 2024, 05:44:36 AM
1. Talk to them and don't leave their side for too long, show them some love and make sure they don't have anything to do with gambling ever again, be soft and gentle with them.
This is a good way to ease them into getting professional help, they need the tenderness and that's how they should be treated first so they don't resist the idea of therapy or rehab. But if we really want things to work, love and tender care for them should be combined with a stern talking and an ultimatum in regards to their addiction should also be addressed so they know that you're serious about them changing for the better and that it's the best for both of you, addiction is a disease and I believe that the combination of the addict's determination for change towards a new life and the care of their family will make the fight against that disease a bit more winnable than not having one of them.

Every advertisements out there is limited in audience bud, for example, TV ads are limited to those who watch tv, as not every one watches TV this days, radio ads are limited to those who listen to the radio.
And when it comes to the internet, ads on Facebook are limited to those who use or are on Facebook, Twitter ads are limited to those who use or are on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and the rest of this social apps are all the same based on ads placed on them.

And this is also the same when it comes to ads on sites like coinmarketcap, coingecko, etherscan, bscscan, dextools, poocoin and so all, all the ads are limited to users of this sites respectively.

And this is also same for bitcointalk and every other forum, ads here apply same rule as it is on other platforms, that is, limitation to users and visitors of this forum alone.
There is no platform out there where ads on it are shared or transferred across every other platform that exist, as an advertiser, if you want your ads placed or shown on multiple places, or platform, you will have to pay for it respectively.
If you think about it like that then they're definitely limited but that's not the only point of those ads, they for sure are limited to what media they're used but think about this, people are social creatures and if the advertisers do it right, they'll create a crazy advertisement that will pique the interest of these people and that will lead to people talking about it with the other people that have either saw the ad or haven't saw the ad and the latter would check it out and will be considering the ad and at the back of their mind, the brand will stay there and when they need something that's related to the brand, that's the first one that will pop up to them and will make them purchase the product or service of that brand. You say it's a limitation but I think it's not really something that should be a problem, some brands or services might even be able to use that so-called limitation to their advantage.
448  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 31, 2024, 03:26:16 PM
I believe 100% that bitcoin will reach $100k this cycle, even if it's just my hope and belief in bitcoin. I've had a lot of doubts and ended up selling last cycle, and those doubts bring regrets in our lives.

Market fluctuations are normal, halving is on the way, 90 days before the halving usually bitcoin holders will be very strong and bitcoin is rising, although I doubt the current halving will not touch the price of $100k, but after the halving passes, bitcoin will experience a very significant price increase like the cycles we often pass.
Yes it will go to that point but I don't believe that it will be there so early, we have to remember that the next potential price pump and halving isn't within the COVID-19 influence which saw a lot of country getting cash injections that helped the people through tough times and some of them investing into cryptocurrency but now that it's not out there anymore then that means that it's going to be different now more than ever but I do believe it will go there because we've maintained bitcoin price increase even after the pandemic.
449  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: January 31, 2024, 02:18:57 PM
When you learn a particular skill, you will also be proud of yourself for having something as a quality you could render service for, some people would have taken it a long time ambition and only to dowco that thru are paying for the skills acquisition while they were old and they missed the whole opportunity of learning for free when they were young, we have have any skill today as long as we want such and use it as backup for the achievement of what we planned on a long run
Depends, what if that skill is useless alone? What I mean is that choose a skill that's going to be useful at its own right, like what they do with juggling, it's a good skill to learn but it's useless if that's the only thing you want to do, you also need to learn other circus tricks too. Best thing is to assess if that skill is worth learning alone or if you need to supplement it with other stuff, it's not that difficult to assess a skill that you want to learn so no worries needed, just be aware of this stuff. Regarding your passion, you choice is always influenced by that, just listen to your heart and you know where to go already.
450  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 31, 2024, 11:19:06 AM
1. Be truthful to yourself. Certainly, no one knows you better than you know yourself. Your decision to spend right is for your own benefit and not for others.
Probably the best kind of advice because it helps you not just in finances but also your personal life, it helps you become a person that will be aware that they're doing something wrong and that they're not being stupid and stubborn about the wrong things. Know thyself is a thing that we all obviously should learn about but it seems that people forget about it and end up not learning it as they grow up.
451  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: January 31, 2024, 10:49:29 AM
I do think there should be a pay correction but more than that, there should be a drastic pay raise for everyone, the current minimum wage isn't a good amount of money already to survive daily so I believe that a big raise in salary in all collars of job is a must and not to mention that this debate is just a thing that will divide the workers so they don't see that it's the big businesses that's the problem
Before anyone can say that it's impossible to do a raise, a lot of companies have already done that and they've gotten more profit because they've got a happier employees that are willing to work for them.
452  Economy / Economics / Re: Another war in the Middle East could be dire for the economy on: January 31, 2024, 09:52:46 AM
It won't be dire for the war profiteers though, they're thriving on war and they manufacture these conflicts so they can test and sell their hardwares for something even bigger. Unless we get rid of oil dependency, we're never going to see an end in wars in Middle East to secure oil, that's the only reason why there's war in those countries. I don't know how bitcoin can help though, what the others are suggesting isn't a practice but a theory so it's going to be difficult to say that bitcoin will even have an impact, maybe a discrete was to sell military hardware for both sides?
453  Economy / Economics / Re: get ready guys for this soon on: January 31, 2024, 09:16:35 AM
I'm tired of people saying events with cryptic and enigmatic connotations like, dude if you're going to travel back in time to warn others about the potential danger that's going to happen in the future in hopes of warning people in the past, might as well provide some evidence and explanation so you know, you don't look crazy to the people of the past when you say this. Kidding aside though, it's impossible that the pound will go down, maybe their economy will suffer but their currency, that's a different thing I think.
454  Economy / Economics / Re: Tech Layoffs on: January 31, 2024, 08:39:20 AM
This is a sign that the tech industry isn't what it used to be and that it's going to be the trend now that there's going to be less people doing jobs there because of automation and it's a sign for many young people to do trade school and learn something that's skill based like automotive maintenance, plumbing and maybe even hairdressing, with those trade skills, you won't have to worry too much about doing side hustles that will definitely see an increase in competition with these tech lay offs.

We rent hashpower on Nicehash.com and shot them all on a bitcoin solo pool. if the bestshare higher as the actual diff, we have a block.

if you will understand how Bitcoin mining is working, and  the blockchain / code from bitcoin behind, than take your time and search in the internet, that can not explained here in short time

best regards,
Willi
Wow, it's that complicated that you can't do it in the thread? That's actually impressive it's definitely a rabbit hole that I would get into after clocking out after work. At the least I've got an idea of what's out there, thanks a lot.
456  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Mining Lotto / Blockparty 2024 on: January 29, 2024, 09:26:29 AM
How is this played? Like literal lottery where the next block that's mined must contain the number that you're looking for and if that's not the case then the bitcoin is going to be gone right? I'm sorry my knowledge of mining ends with each block having a number so if you can elaborate what you do for a dumb dude like me, I would appreciate it Smiley.
457  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 29, 2024, 08:38:02 AM
Same as any other casinos or business out there, they do advertising but they're all using different kinds of advertising as there are some that employ a conventional one like commercials and ad placements on TV shows and radio stations, some are even utilizing social media, some are even building a marketing team that will create the branding, the pamphlets and other marketing implements. There's also the Internet that hosts millions of advertisements from millions of companies all over the world and with almost everyone interconnected by the World Wide Web, this is probably the most efficient way to advertise your product, business or services. Signature campaign is a unique one though as it's not going outside the forum so it's limited in audience but it still somehow works.
458  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is Bitcoin mining a profitable business? on: January 29, 2024, 07:49:27 AM
If you are a novice investor with several ASIC containers, then you will use a mining pool and not try to mine solo. When you have 1-2 megawatts per hour of energy consumption, then you will not play the solo mining lottery Smiley
Bitcoin mining is a very profitable business, because mining companies pay back their investments in 1 year.
Is there a thread here that can teach me how to how to join a mining pool? Is that even a guarantee that the ROI for mining is guaranteed in a year? Because that seems kind of a pain to be waiting for it and why are a lot of replies discouraging solo mining? Wouldn't that be the better one especially in terms of transaction fees since that's a reward for miners right? And with solo mining, wouldn't you not be splitting that rewards with other miners in the mining pool? How much is the capital needed to start a bare minimum but would still yield me a profit mining rig?
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you own a mining rig? on: January 29, 2024, 06:51:01 AM
In Russia, 5-7 cents per kilowatt on average, if you don’t mine coins in Irkutsk for a few cents. But there are problems with limits on domestic consumption of 15 kilowatts, and in an apartment it is 2-3 times less. Increased consumption immediately causes unnecessary attention from controllers, so the maximum you can use is 1-2 ASICs of 3 kilowatts each or video cards, which can now pay off for a very long time.
So it's a matter of how much you've got to pay for electricity that are stopping some people from setting up their mining rigs. Irkutsk is like arctic winter right? That would mean that this would be the best place to do mining and at the same time solve the heating issue? What do you mean by the unnecessary attention? That's a bit weird to me that just because you've got an increase in your power consumption, someone's suddenly being suspicious like the IRS? What would happen though if they know about the mining operation?
460  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-01-21] JPMorgan Warns of Incoming Bitcoin Selloff ... on: January 29, 2024, 05:58:08 AM
ETF investors are not interested in crypto, only in profits.

If they think the time to profit is over for Bitcoin and crypto, they will sell Bitcoin and invest in something else.
They're still invested in bitcoin so I'm not worried and even if this is a big thing that will make waves on the market that will affect the price in a negative way then that means that we all have the opportunity to be able to buy bitcoin at a much lower price and I think that either way the market goes, it's a win for me and JPMorgan can just calm down and go back to their banking business because they're not really needed by the crypto people to remind them of what the Bloomberg could report on.
