461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Did China Dominate Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2019, 05:59:33 PM
The Bitcoin whitepaper was released in English, how did the Chinese get sointerested ahead of others that they dominate mining of bitcoin?
They practically didn't but instead, people hype made them seems as if they are ahead of everyone. Majority of people felt that China has more larger population so whatever they engage in usually do be become successful. So whatever threat they make in pulling out of Bitcoin or banning it, many becomes anxious.

462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start: Daytrading? on: November 01, 2019, 11:58:35 PM
It's always not as easy as it is been stated; that's the bitter ugly truth. Though, most of the advice given to you here are true but day trading is not something you start in a day and learn about it all in the same day.
You will need constant practising, better still get à demo account and learn the tricks from there. If you can't find a demo account, try trading with small amounts and with shit coins, from there, you get better.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your most common superstitions? on: November 01, 2019, 11:25:09 PM
Sometimes I think if we related our life with superstitions, we could not feel confident to do something we want. There is something that we feel afraid that we cannot do that. Like what we see here, some people feel confident if they use something when they gamble, which will make them feel good, and out of the result, we feel better to wear that stuff. Although in the end, they cannot win the game.

But some people don't believe with superstitions because that doesn't make sense to wear or use something that can help us to win. Well, superstitions will depend on where the gamblers lived on, and sometimes, in those places, superstitions will be something that some people should use or wear to help them to get confidant.

You are right to some extent. However, there are instances when having a certain superstitious believe can make someone overly confident.
Take for instant those who depends solely on voodoo for wining in gambling, when they have whatsoever charms they think that can make them win a game. They depend on it without bothering to consider calculating their games.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea discuss the possibility to give crypto a legal status on: November 01, 2019, 11:10:40 PM
The truth is the petition won't do much.
I am not trying to be a deal breaker or bad news breaker nor refusing to see the better side of it. But most governments bearly care about petitions signed by the citizens online. When they have set their mind to to influence certain decisions, they do it. And this also apply to the case of digital currency.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting ICO scams on: November 01, 2019, 09:34:23 PM
To be fair, even big companies like Google or Facebook have advertised a lot of scams. So in an open space like the internet, the best way to protect yourself is to learn, instead of relying on external factors.
Quite True.
The big reality is that everyone is talking about reducing scam and fighting it but those who rules the web with big activities do not really care or put into effect all the talks they about.
Coin Markets Cap won't deny they don't know that some of those ICOs ad listed on their sites are scams, so far they can pay them, the ads will be up in no time. Another thing is that, some investor usually believe that once an ICO is listed in a CMC, it means legit; this is absolutely wrong.
466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: November 01, 2019, 07:43:28 PM
Bittrex, Bitmax and Binance are best exchanges and these are exchanges I tried maximum number of times to sell and buy the small alts and tokens. We really need to have some good iOS and Android apps for these exchange platforms.
But apart from Binance all have API based third parties app only.
I believe they have such to grow bigger than the current situation.
Is not as if they can't make it possible or implement it but because, I believe, that apps 'might' make them vulnerable and more exposed.
It's not easy to set up a app for exchange without it acquiring one issue or the another. Binance crossed that bridge and this made it more competent than other exchange you mentioned.
Moreover, people don't like going about carrying an exchange app around on their phones because of criminals.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the single most influential person in Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2019, 04:30:03 PM
I would have chosen Satoshi Nakamoto, the true influencer of Bitcoin but the guy seems to have disappeared after the creation of Bitcoin, without no public appearance afterwards.
However, my go to is McAfee  Grin The guy obviously knows how to bring in more people into Bitcoin because of his overhyped price prediction.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site on: November 01, 2019, 03:32:37 PM
Just like others have stated, Bustadice still remain the best for me, I have used it so I can it is one of the good ones out there. The interface is simple and withdrawing is most times fast.
Another is Windice, and its not because of I am wearing the signature. The interface is simple to use and chatting can be easy too.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: November 01, 2019, 12:20:22 PM
For me, I have used my Bitcoin to pay for things online but its quite a few and not consistent.
I however, prefer to pay for stuffs with lesser amount of money with my bitcoin than commodity or products with higher prices. This is simply because i believe that the instant I spend my Bitcoin, buying back will be hard and I might not be able to buy as cheap as I did before.
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are You Concerned On Sudden Rise of Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2019, 09:00:09 AM
Should not doubt bitcoin.

Just months ago we saw bitcoin took 13k USD one again and it took long at 12k USD which is somehow inspiring once again after the last ATH in 2017.
I am worried for sudden increase but there is history that could prove it should not just be at this number.
12k USD should be the bottom of it by now.
I don't believe other people who are thinking it will be back to 3k or less. That is just mere FUD. Do not fooled by them and suddenly sell your bitcoins.
Just HODL.

In as much it seems normal not to believe that the price of Bitcoin can go down to 3k, its also possible for the price to also go down like that too. And many things can be a contributor to it, especially when traders and investors panic sell and whale selling too. The question is if it will drop drastically like that or go gradually down like that.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: November 01, 2019, 07:22:32 AM
The acceptances of the blockchain technology does not grantee the acceptance of Bitcoin because the two projects are different yet somewhat related because of the authenticity.
Moreover, the point you made is the real cause of why the China government and some of why the world government refuses to accept Bitcoin.
Generally, the government hates what they can't control and tries every possible means to eliminate such threat.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the discipline help in gambling? on: October 31, 2019, 02:27:54 PM
a strong character knows how to accept defeat whether if its small or huge  . strong character does not limit himself to gamble because if he do that , that will only make him afraid to loose or weak when it comes to risking himself on playing a gambling  .

discipline i think dont help too much in gambling because itll wont make you win when you wanted to win big because you are controlling yourself to bet more or to bet big   .
I have come to realise that whether one has a strong character to accept defeat, they cannot be strong enough to stand it sometimes, if not most times.
To be able to accept defeat has to do with how much you lose and how the money is important to you. A person who lose a huge amount of money will find it hard to accept defeat online someone who lose a small amount of money. This also goes same to someone who put in their last fund, hoping for it to multiply.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: October 29, 2019, 09:30:32 PM
I’ve been to Macau a few times and boy that was some experience I’m sure I don’t want to miss. I don’t know but I find it comforting that some other people are losing way more money than I do and I could feed on their frustrations to make myself better even though I just lost a couple grand on the blackjack tables. Some people might find a crowded gambling house uncomfortable but I enjoyed it, since it helped me feel good even though I’m about to crap myself from losing a lot.

Where ever there is crowd, be sure to expect some fun. Just as many people come to play to win, some are just there to create amusements and make fun of those losing. This all makes the outdoor casino memorable but I think the disadvantages are over weights it. There is lack of concentration and pickpockets.
474  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let this rise be a lesson - Bitcoin isn't strongly tied to anything on: October 29, 2019, 07:59:02 PM
I totally agree with your first paragraph. Not even only journalist but also 'self-proclaimed' Bicton analyst.
I have come to understand that  them making up stories or prediction is another way they sell themselves, products or services.
You don't blame them also, it is because during every price dumps, investors just want to associate something to be the cause. So the journalist and analysts easily do that for them.
475  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes a Fiat worthless? on: October 29, 2019, 07:29:40 PM
From the three points you mentioned, I don't think corruption has any thing to do with it. However, economic status of a country can also make a country currency worthless too.
Also, another vital cause I feel that can influence a currency to been worthless is how high or low other country depend on it and also how much commodity can that fiat be spent on. A good example is the USD dollar.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons McAfee’s $2 Million Bitcoin Prediction May Not Be So Crazy on: October 29, 2019, 06:20:31 PM
I don't think the guys is 100% talking trash though.
At least in every nonsense, there is still sense in there. The main point is that the time frame he merged his prediction as to when Bitcoin will each the millions, is just too short or looks unrealistic.
The price of Bitcoin will one day reach millions but there will be many circumstances and controversy that will push it to it
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your most common superstitions? on: October 29, 2019, 05:09:35 PM

Just to add, it hugely helps me in gambling whenever I wear my lucky shirt. I mean, I try my best not to gamble whenever I am not wearing it. Last thing, before I gamble I make it sure that before I leave the house, I will toss a coin and the result will become my fate in the next few hours.

I mean, people see superstitions as useless but if it helps the individual calm or support them in making decisions then I would not judge them. At the end of the day, gambling depends on one's luck and people are free to think on what they think will help them win.
Really? You actually mean the bolded words?
If you can't gamble till wear your lucky shirt then I think you are placing too much attachment on it.
Yes, I know, superstition and gamble can work in hand but when one do it too much, it can indirectly start affecting it.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When altcoin season? on: October 27, 2019, 08:26:05 PM
Good? I don't think we will see (probably in the future) or have any altcoins.
Most of the project altcoins are bunch of repeated project that their developers use to make money from investors.
I doubt if 60% cryptocurrency enthusiast are putting money in ICO or IEO projects.
More focus are shifted to Bitcoin  and few top altcoins on CMC.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 26, 2019, 11:42:00 PM
When it is stated, 'don't borrow to invest in Bitcoin,' this also applies to not borrowing to gamble.
Moreover, I think the latter is the worst of it kind cause gambling is super unpredictable.
Anyway, it's a good thing you learnt from this.
Just find a way to pay up your friend. He might be so angry to know you spent that much all on gambling. Also ignore all those claiming they made millions or thousands from gambling, I guess this is what triggered you to take that action. You don't gamble to double money.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dormant addresses are waking up? on: October 26, 2019, 10:08:15 PM
One question OP, how did you 'specifically' found this addresses?
I am guessing you have been monitoring it before now to know when the owner made this move.
Anyways, three particular thing is involved here;
1) Perhaps the owner suddenly remembered he had some certain amount of Bitcoin

2) The owner has been hodling since and probably finally decided to make use of the funds (Not sure why he didn't spend not even one when the price was 20k though)

3) Someone else got hold of the private key or assess to the funds. (I hope this is not the case here)
