1301  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it digital gold? on: February 26, 2018, 09:43:51 PM
Bitcoin is like digital gold ........ is it correct? It is a transferable asset but not duplicable ..... do you agree? What are the points in favor and those against this statement? I would like a very analytical and specific arisposal.
Most times, i feel the need to refer it as such likewise I also feel its shouldn't too. Because Gold is gold, there shouldn't be an alternative, its an ancient treasure and deserves some respect. I know Bitcoin is most times been referred to as a digital gold because of the similarities between it and the traditional gold but it shouldn't. Just like the way it will be disrespecting for another coin to assume the place of bitcoin . In as much as we love bitcoin, let's not forget that Gold has been for centuries.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Is The Rich Bitcoinist? on: February 26, 2018, 07:50:34 PM
For all I know, apart from Satochi Nakamoto there are many rich bitcoinists but some of them choose to remain anonymous probably because of the fear of been hacked, kidnapped, killed or anything related to that. Even, nobody has seen Satochi, the guy is a faceless genius enjoying his wealth  somewhere nice. And he truly deserve it.
1303  Economy / Speculation / Re: How exchanges steal our money on: February 26, 2018, 06:44:10 PM
Anyone who trades or makes use of exchange and don't know that most exchange does dirty tricks to get more money from users aside their regular gain is still learning. Aside the two you mentioned above, the one that hurts me more is that sometimes some hacks that do happen in some exchanges might have the tendency of been done by their owners. This is all greediness and unfair.
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you long term or short term? on: February 25, 2018, 11:32:07 PM
Well, it all depends on your choice and decision. Normally, it is not all altcoin that I trade. There are some coins which are worth keeping for long term because of it potentiality while there are some coins which are worth keeping for short term. So decide on the coin; if it worth for short or long term. Cause you don't want to keep a coin for long and it will end up not worthing it.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why i Feel Like Beggar after bounty campaign? on: February 25, 2018, 08:20:23 PM
I can't relate but I noticed that some forum users here see bounty hunters as beggers. I don't know why this is so, probably because there are many ICOs or probably the way bounty hunters complain about stakes not been counted and so. Well it's not their fault. If an ICO is genuine and its been managed by a good bounty manager; the bounty hunters won't complain about stakes thus won't be term as beggers.
1306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best way to get fiat from crypto? on: February 25, 2018, 05:41:21 PM
Like most people have stated here; localbitcoin or paxful may be very good option if you don't want to pass through KYC verification to sell in some exchanges. But be extremely careful in dealing there. A lot of people have been lamenting how they have been scammed there. If you intend to use there; request a face to face transaction but be caution, to avoid been held at gunpoint.
1307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Starting to learn a new job in bitcoin forum on: February 25, 2018, 04:02:25 PM
It would be harder to get a job with a reputable companies like CoinDesk, Coinbase, Blockstream, etc.
What are you talking about? The guy interests is in translation Job in this forum. It has nothing to do with those site you stated. You should probably read his post again to understand. OP, for this job, you need to know some languages, be around in this forum to learn or probably learn from a mentor. And there is no particular bounty campaign for this; be active to know when there is a new job.
1308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is Dropping, and Experts Can't Agree Why on: February 24, 2018, 09:22:38 PM
One thing I have learned and I try to stick to it even though its hard is that nobody can specifically predict the next price of any cryptocurrency or tell why it periodically or suddenly dumps or pumps. Every now and then we hear an expert say one thing and another thing happens. Those who were close to it was just coincidental. Someone told me crypto investment is like gambling. I just hold my coins and hope for the best.
1309  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help create a signature on: February 24, 2018, 07:48:46 PM
If you mean signature campaign, then you should check out the service section, there are reputable signature managers who might fit into what you want. If possible post there and they will make themselves available to you. You should check out  manager Yahoo62278; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1704638.0  He is known to have run quite a number of successful signature.
1310  Economy / Economics / Re: What will have the biggest impact on the Bitcoin price? on: February 23, 2018, 08:15:22 PM
The biggest impact on Bitcoin price will not happen when people save less or no amount in the bank and save huge amount in bitcoin. If this ever happen, the government will go very mad on bitcoin and see to it total down fall in countries because indirectly government are gaining from citizens savings in banks. For there to be huge impact on the bitcoin price; governments should openly accept bitcoin and there should be an equilibrium in the bank savings and bitcoin savings. In as much as we not like it, its just the painful reality.
1311  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to be a Bounty Manager? Any tips? on: February 23, 2018, 02:02:14 PM
I don't think someone will trust a jr member or something.
Since, almost all bounty managers are like hero/leg.

I might be wrong. Even if you get a job as a bounty manager, it isn't easy at all.
Tons of submissions... Social media, blogs and more.
Sounds like you are discouraging him. If the guy is good at his job and is genuine, then been a jr.member bounty manager has nothing to do with it. I believe one has to start from someone before been judged and i guess most of all the top bounty manger started small.  And you should also know that not all bounty managers are hero or legendary members, you should take your time to check and confirm this.
1312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining from 10 year old PC possible ? on: February 23, 2018, 01:30:57 PM
Well, I think it could work but if you want to upgrade to a new system its your choice. And moreover,A ten years old PC is good; most people uses it cause its much stronger than the recents. You should also consider upgrading the RAM to something higher for compatibility sake. And another thing, what coin do you intend to mine with it? Cause some coins can be quite selective.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much have you won/lost on bitcoin gambling ? on: February 23, 2018, 10:31:44 AM
I really don't count my loses and winnings but maybe I am just in the average of it, I am not a loser and I am also not a winner, sometimes I lost and sometimes I win in my gambling game and I think it also depend on a gambling games. For me I think there is no need for us to count our loses.
My point too, there is no need of counting loses in gambling because if you do so, there will be a time when you will feel the urge to regret all the amount of coins you have lost when gambling. Believe me, that's not a good feeling. You just have to know your limit and dont get so greedy of putting all your coin into gambling. That is why i do tell people, that if you win, take some rest before going back to play again.
1314  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on with the dump? on: February 22, 2018, 11:05:11 PM
You should not panic, the dumps or dips is just a normal process. The past few weeks dumps should have taught us a lot of things; 'learn to be patient and keep holding. If you are new to bitcoin investment, then go back and read about the history of bitcoin; there is always a possible dips here and there. If you feel you can't stand the pressure, then kindly sell off your coins because not everybody can hold.
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: White Paper Translation on: February 22, 2018, 09:26:57 PM
Would anyone be willing to translate my white paper into the following languages for LMs tokens?  Must be translation by hand and not using a tool.  Send me a private message if interested

French
Chinese
Russian
Spanish
It would be good if you post this in the service section. You might see someone who can do it. Or better still, there are people whom are offering this service also in the service section; you can approach them and offer them your terms. And one important thing; you should be ready to escrows the payment. People here are very skeptical about newbie offering a job without escrows.
1316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Easy mineable coins - 2018 ? on: February 22, 2018, 08:00:06 AM
Its not always about how easy they are mined, its about how  profitable it could be after paying for tax and electricity bills. Ethereum could be good but it might yield little. You can try Monero (XMR), MemoryCoin (MMC), MonetaVerde (MCN) , or even Fantomcoin (FCN). Their yield per day is fair. You should also model your CPU +/- your GPU for easy estimation of your earns per day.
1317  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: February 21, 2018, 11:16:26 PM
We all hope that Theymos aim for creating the merit system; which is to bring sanity to the forum is achieved. Though alot of people dont like the system while some does. It will be impossible for anyone to sell a huge amount of merit without been noticed. Many peopIe here strive to get merits but I always tell people, do what you know how to do best; the merit will come on it own.
1318  Economy / Speculation / Re: Major mistake all traders make on: February 21, 2018, 09:56:06 AM
The biggest mistake that day traders make (especially crypto day traders) is believing that they have an edge over everyone else because of the charts they look at. The biggest mistake is not believing that day trading is 100% gambling, because that is exactly what it is. The only way to consistently make money over the long term is to invest based on value and fundamentals.
Exactly, I usually consider day traders as gamblers whom have decided to take massive everyday risk. With the unstable price of bitcoin, I do wonder how they make their gain; though some traders claims it very gainful. Its takes one with huge capital and heart hardened to become a day trading. Because for me alone, bitcoin trading is a perfect risk on it own. I most times soley depend on long time investment.
1319  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Does anyone knows where to buy btc using paypal funds on: February 20, 2018, 09:35:28 PM
I have paypal funds. I want to invest on btc and altcoins. my big problem is that some exchanger from usd to btc got high conversion compare to the current price of btc. does anyone knows where I can purchase btc at low conversion rate?

You can try : localbitcoins, localethereum and Virwox. You can also use Coinmama.com to buy with your credit card.
However, you will not get low rates when looking to buy with Paypal due to the various payment gates and fees involved.
I would have suggestion the same but each of this platform has their own fault. Though I have not used localethereum . Virwox has a long protocol which at the end, they won't even give you the value of what you paid for. Localbitcoin if not careful are full of scammers who will rip him off his money. Though, its still the only one  to use compares to others
1320  Economy / Marketplace / Re: upwork job offers that pay bitcoin. on: February 20, 2018, 08:25:31 PM
My suggestion; if you searched and its still hard to find, find an alternative that pays in bitcoin. But i think its best to advertise your skills here, at least this forums mostly have people from different race that deals and encourage bitcoin. It might be faster to get a client here than other place. And other advantage here, is that people might also want to pay you in altcoin, if you prefer.
